《The Cardboard Explorer》Chapter 35

Other than the three bloodline skills, there were another two bloodline skills that he had never once heard before.
One was the Big Blue Tongue Toad Leader bloodline skill. Since there was no description of the skill available, it was impossible to know what it can do.
Cade can only assume that it was a superior skill because it needed 20 puzzle pieces to complete the skill book.
The other one was the big blue tongue toad language bloodline skill. The skill also needed 20 puzzle pieces to complete the skill book.
From the name of the skill, Cade can assume that it was the language skill to communicate with the big blue tongue toad monsters. Cade did not know what was good about being able to talk to an aggressive monster like the toad and he thought that the skill was not that good.
Moving on from the bloodline skill, there were few more new kinds of puzzle pieces that Cade had never once heard before.
One of them was a puzzle piece for the big blue tongue toad essence. Looking at the amount of puzzle needed to complete them, Cade blankly staring at it.
“Hu-Hundred of them?” said Cade surprised at the number of puzzle pieces needed to complete the big blue tongue toad essence puzzle pieces. There were too many of them and Cade frowned at that amount.
With that amount, Cade can only assume that the essence must be something really good. Collecting even one puzzle piece was a total pain but the essence had 100 of them.
Cade sighed and looked at the other puzzle piece and the system only said it was the big blue tongue toad key and just like the essence, it had 100 puzzle pieces.
“If it was a key, that means it can be used to open something,” thought Cade. There was nothing that came to mind and Cade moved on to the next puzzle.
Lastly, it was the big blue tongue toad core. This one, however, had a whopping 1000 puzzle pieces to be collected to complete. Cade scratched his head looking at the amount needed to complete the puzzle.
“This must be something really really big,” thought Cade. With all the choices in front of him, Cade did not know what to choose.
Thinking deeply about that, Cade remembered that he had quite a few incomplete big blue tongue toad figures in his storage. He decided to complete them and got himself a few more stat points.

With his choice, Cade got another puzzle piece for the big blue tongue toad figure. Jonathan who saw that was no surprise anymore.
“Cade, are you done? You took quite a while to get that,” said Jonathan.
“Oh, sorry. Thanks for guarding around,” Cade thanked Jonathan for keeping guard when he was choosing his drop.
“Should we continue?” asked Jonathan. He wanted to continue hunting for more but since he was with Cade and Cade was older than him, he asked for Cade’s opinion.
“Yeah. I think it is not yet time for our turn,” said Cade and they both decided to find another toad nearby to hunt.
Cade was not sure how he was able to choose his drop but he figured that maybe it was due to his max luck. This happened after he maxed his luck stat.
Cade and Jonathan continued their hunt and every time Cade killed a toad; he can choose his drop. Cade can confirm that it was due to his luck. He cannot think of another reason.
His latest kill net him the last piece of the puzzle to complete another big blue tongue toad figure. He completed another one and he can get another 35 stat points.
However, to Cade's surprise…
[Unable to absorb. Host already absorb one E grade Big Blue Tongue Toad figure]
Looking at the notification, Cade stared at it blankly. He cannot use the complete puzzle because he already used one before.
“I never heard of this…” said Cade. He was still unable to believe that he cannot absorb the complete puzzle.
“Cade, why are you not absorbing it? Hurry up! If people saw this light, it would be extremely bad,” said Jonathan. He was again keeping guard when Cade was busy with his business.
“I cannot absorb this because I already absorb one. You should take this,” said Cade while he handed the complete puzzle to Jonathan to absorb.
Jonathan looked at Cade blankly. He cannot believe that Cade easily gave him the complete puzzle. “Is it okay for you to give me this?” asked Jonathan as he hesitated to take it.
“I told you I cannot use this. You better absorb this fast before someone comes here,” said Cade. He knew it would be chaos if the explorers found out about the complete puzzle.

He can simply put the complete puzzle inside his storage but keeping the complete puzzle was too dangerous.
Since Jonathan was a good kid and they decided to work together in the dungeon, why not give the complete puzzle to him? The puzzle could help Jonathan become stronger and at the same time increase their party chance to survive inside the dungeon.
They suddenly heard footsteps coming towards them. Jonathan stopped hesitating and took the complete puzzle from Cade’s hand.
He got the same notification as Cade from the system and absorbed the complete puzzle. The absorption was an easy process and it only takes a second.
Both Cade and Jonathan immediately evacuated the area and hid nearby. Just like they thought, a few explorers arrived. They did not look strong but there were quite a few of them.
Fighting humans was different than fighting the monster. The monster had a set of skills humans could anticipate but humans mixed their skills and it was impossible to predict what skill they will use unless they had seen it once.
“The light is gone?” said one of the explorers.
“Is it some kind of treasure?” said another one of them.
“What if it was a strong monster?” said another one. They all looked at each other and they decided to retreat from the area immediately.
If it was a strong monster, it will be hard for them to survive. It was better to run than encountering it. All the explorers left the area.
Cade and Jonathan who saw everything sighed in relief. Luckily, they were a bunch of normal explorers. Their thought process was that of normal people too.
If they were from a powerful family, they will try to search every nook and cranny for that light because they were usually greedy and they usually had enough power to counter whatever danger they found.
“Have you heard about something like this, Jonathan?” asked Cade about the limit of only absorbing one complete puzzle of the same kind.
Jonathan shook his head lightly as he had never heard or read it once about that. “Maybe no one knew about this because the puzzle is super rare after all,” said Jonathan.
Cade agreed with Jonathan. He was a bit abnormal because of the max luck that allowed him to choose whatever drop he wanted and got himself two of the same complete puzzles.
“Well, I guess your high luck kind of rubs on me a bit because I got myself free stat points without doing much. Thanks, Cade,” said Jonathan, smiling while he was distributing his stat points.
“I would not give it to you if you are a bad guy and having the complete puzzle is too dangerous when I am too weak to protect myself,” said Cade with a disappointed face.
He thought that he will be able to spam himself with many complete puzzles to increase his stat but it won’t be happening soon.
If he wanted to get more stat points, he needed to get himself another complete puzzle. Maybe a D grade big blue tongue toad since he got himself the E grade one.
He can also get himself the complete puzzle of the E grade and D grade big tongue toad but he might need to travel back to the beginning of the third floor to find some of them.
However, he did not want to waste time going back and dismissed the idea. Maybe if he can find the D grade big blue tongue toad, he will be able to get one more complete puzzle.
“With the appearance of the light from the complete puzzle, I don’t think it is a good idea to continue hunting for more puzzle,” said Cade.
“Let’s go back to brother Shihoon,” said Jonathan and Cade agreed. Both of them came out of their hiding and walked back towards the area outside the floor boss room.
While going to their destination, they met a few big blue tongue toad and Cade and Jonathan killed them. However, Cade did not choose the puzzle pieces as drop, he chose the magic crystal drop.
He can easily choose not to get anything but he wanted to get himself the new magic crystal. If he sold those, he would get quite a lot of money because researchers will want to know what it can do.
