《The Cardboard Explorer》Chapter 19

The Golden Dragon Royal Family was one of the top 4 strongest families in the universe. Anyone from that family can be considered a monster with their strength.
The family had many S grade explorers in their rank and there were even rumors that they also had someone in their family who had a grade beyond S.
The family was feared and revered by many people due to their strength and anyone that tried to pick a fight with them had never survived. All of them were insanely strong.
Added to that, they were in control of an entire star sector and named the star sector after their family name, Golden Dragon Star Sector.
The Golden Dragon Star Sector was the biggest star sector in the universe with 200 planets in them and all 200 planets were under the control of the Golden Dragon Royal Family.
When Cynthia claimed that she was a princess from the Golden Dragon Royal Family, it was shocking but at the same time unbelievable because that family was super popular and their basic information was all over the internet.
However, there was nothing about Cynthia and that can only mean that either the family hid her data or she was just a commoner and lying about herself.
It was also weird that the guild she joined before knew about her when if Cade was not mistaken, that guild was not a top guild. That kind of guild couldn't get any information about her if her family was hiding her information.
Besides, it was also weird that she easily told others about her identity when her family was hiding it. Cade was unable to believe her words.
“I am telling the truth and I know what you were thinking. There is a reason why you cannot find any information about me on the internet and the guild master of the guild I left recognize my face when he visited the Golden Dragon Star Sector in the past. So, he used that knowledge to rope me into his guild,” explained Cynthia.
“…” Cade did not know how to reply to her explanation.
“And, you are the first person that I tell this in person,” said Cynthia. She looked a bit annoyed but she still smiled a bit. She did feel a bit annoyed at Cade’s reaction when he thought she was joking.

Cynthia had never once intended to keep her identity as a princess a secret but since no one was asking her about her family, she never tried to say anything.
There was a reason why no one was asking her. They knew that she came from some kind of a big family and seeing that they were keeping it a secret, there must be a reason for that.
Asking something that was meant as the secret was really dangerous especially if the secret came from a big and powerful family.
“You said that there is a reason your information is not on the internet, why is that?” asked Cade. Even if she said that that did not explain anything about her being the princess because there was no evidence.
“An idiot in my family got himself a weird skill book named data blocker. The skill can block any data and information about something on the internet… forever. That idiot learned the skill and tested it with my information and resulted in everything related to me being wiped out forever from the internet,” said Cynthia and she got more annoyed when thinking of that.
“Now, whatever information related to me will be deleted automatically when it reaches the internet. So, you won’t be able to find anything about me from the internet,” said Cynthia and she looked a bit sad as well as annoyed when thinking about it.
Looking at Cynthia’s face, Cade sighed and decided to not pursue it further and tried to believe whatever she said. It was not his business if she tried to hide it or not or if it was true or not. They were not friends, only acquaintances.
No matter who she was, it had nothing to do with him but he still felt curious as to why she came studying at Planet Dineon.
“If you are a princess, why do you come here for your studies? I am sure that there are many other better colleges all around the universe and your family has their university too,” asked Cade. She was a princess and if he was not mistaken, the Golden Dragon Royal Family had their university.
The university was one of the top universities in the universe and outsiders will have a hard time getting in but a member of the royal family will always be admitted to that university.

In the beginning, the university was founded for the members of the family but as time passed by, they started accepting outsiders too.
However, only the best of the best outsiders were allowed to attend the university. There was a reason why they did that. It was to procure the partner for their family member.
In better words, the ones chosen as students for their university will marry a member of the Golden Dragon Family. All the students that were not part of the Golden Dragon Family had been approved by the family to marry a member of the family.
They did not want their family members to marry useless people and thus, they did that. Only talented people were allowed to be part of the family.
“I don’t know the real reason but a fortune teller in my family said that I should attend this college,” said Cynthia. She did not mind studying on Planet Dineon because she was happy that she got to travel outside the Golden Dragon Star System.
“Even the fortune teller herself did not know the reason but she said it was important for me to come here. It has something to do with the future of our universe,” continued Cynthia.
“Future of our universe? Does it have something to do with the time limit dungeon?” thought Cade. He did not say it out loud but everyone who overheard their conversation had the same thought.
At the moment, the time limit dungeon was the biggest threat the universe had ever met. Everyone was extremely nervous about how their future will be.
“So, Cynthia is some kind of important with what will happen? I wonder what her role will be?” thought Cade more but he decided to stop thinking about it too deep. It was not related to him anyway.
“So, where is your guard?” asked Cade. There was no way they would let their princess go to a faraway planet without any guard.
“Guard? Why would I need a guard?” asked Cynthia back with a questioning face.
“First of all, you are a princess and second, you said it is important for you to be here. That means it is also important for you to be safe and alive. If something bad happens to you, then, our future will be dark,” said Cade.
The others around him that have been eavesdropping nodded their head. What Cade said made sense. She needed to be safe for their future to be bright since she said it was important for her to be there on their planet.
“This star sector is the safest in the universe, so there is no need for a guard. Everyone here is nice and there is no one bad and strong enough that will threaten my life,” said Cynthia with her smile equipped with the dazzling light, again.
Everyone who heard her including Cade did not know what to feel. They felt a bit conflicted at her statement. She blatantly said that everyone in the star sector was weak but with a compliment that everyone was nice.
She was not wrong though because the strongest explorer in Biscuit Star Sector was an A grade. There was no S grade explorer in their star sector.
Besides, everyone living in Biscuit Star Sector was peace-loving and hated conflict. That was why there was no war between planets happening in the Biscuit Star Sector.
Everyone who heard her cannot help but smile awkwardly. It was like another waking call to them after the disappearance of Planet Snowball.
“If someone is trying to harm me, I have with me an item that will instantly teleport the strongest member of my family here to deal with the threat,” said Cynthia with more dazzling light.
The light, however, did not feel warm because it sounded like a threat. “Try to sneak attack me and you will die,” was what everyone heard including Cade.
Cade sighed and he looked at Cynthia and said, “Well, whatever your mission is on this planet, I wish you luck.”
Cade then tried to leave her alone when Cynthia suddenly held his arm. Cade was stunned with Cynthia’s action.
“W-w-w-what are you doing?” Cade stuttered when he said that because this was the first time a girl held his arm. He was nervous.
“Why do you think I told you everything about me?” said Cynthia with a sinister smile.
“????????” Cade’s mind was filled with a question mark and he smelled trouble.
