Hello everyone, I felt that you guys deserved two chapters released today. I was planning on releasing this tomorrow but I changed my mind right before I went to sleep. Again PR credits to shadow mouse and Anna. Hope you all enjoy this chapter!
-----------
She opened her green eyes and sat up from her bed. Her room was filled with pink colored drapery. Pillars of white marble rose from the ground and ringed her bed. Her bed had four posts and a green roof above her.
This girl was the princess of the Luna’tesh Kingdom of the high elves. She was the youngest daughter, 15 years of age, finally old enough to leave her kingdom and learn about the world.
This was her last day before she had to go to the human lands and study in Asmodeus Academy. Relations with the other races had gotten better, and since she was a member of the royal family, she would learn about how to interact with the other races.
She got up from her bed and wore a long pink robe. It perfectly fit her slim figure and easily covered her large bosom. She combed her long, blonde hair gently and softly, as if caressing her lover.
Due to her beauty, many suitors gathered around her and wished to establish relations with her. High Elves are marriageable at any age, but she had refused every single suiter.
Her wish was to be the same as her older sister, Tanelia, as an ambassador. She wished to be free of the shackles of her world. Her people would call her irresponsible for wishing so, but she didn’t care. She loved her people, yes, but she also wished to find something that she loved to do.
Because of this, she begged and begged to leave and attend Asmodeus Academy when the academy finally accepted other races. It had taken years, but finally it happened.

After changing her clothes, she went to the balcony and looked to her home. A haze of pure mana lingered in the air; this was a main trait of the Lunar Plains. The land they lived in gathered more mana than it could store, and it lingered in the air as a haze that they all breathed.
Compared to the Blood Elves or the Dark Elves, the High Elves lived in the plains where magic was abundant. They lived and breathed next to magic. Their homes, food, weapons, armor, currency -everything - was magic. Their bodies might look weaker and frailer than the other races, but their aptitude for magic was the strongest.
The princess was one such example. During her test, she actually had Legendary affinity with her Ethereal magic. Her family was amazed, but knew that they had to keep her powers quiet.
And so they did. To others, her powers are merely Summoning magic. She did have powerful summons but her main power was Ethereal magic. Her magic was pure power, chaotic in nature. Her willful nature to do what she wanted influenced her magic to such a degree.
She had practiced her powers on her own with the help of the magic instructors of her race. Her main mentor, though, was the Archmage, and he taught her all that he knew about her abilities.
Her powers grew and grew, but she needed to know more. She had difficulty controlling her powers and was only able to barely control it with the help of those around her. This was one of the reasons why she was able to convince her family of sending her to Asmodeus Academy.
For her though, it was more than just this. She felt that something in the Academy was waiting for her, just waiting for her to seek.
The sun was now above her and she could hear the shuffling of servants outside of her room. It was now time for her to say her goodbyes to her family.
Her name… Elenia Wisteria.

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading! Cover art (fullsize): Forgotten World Coliseum, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. This story has not been posted or published anywhere else besides RoyalRoad.com, at this URL: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/22103/atla-verold

HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.
