《Deck of Cards》From E-7 to Echo Zain part 1

On a sunny day, a boy was walking in the desert. The sun was shining brightly in the cloudless sky. Because of that, it was pretty hot outside. And so, the boy himself was covered with clothing, to protect from the sun. Only part of his body, that wasn't covered with clothing, was his gray eyes.
With heavy steps, he kept walking through the sandy landscape. From a distance, he heard something and when he looked behind him, he saw a sandstorm approaching him.
"Aaah. Fuck my life."he muttered, as he saw the approaching storm.
'The abandoned town is about two kilometers away, so I better run.'he thought and quickly started to run away from the storm. He can't out run it, but at least he could take cover in the town, until the storm has passed.
He keeps running pretty fast, while the storm gets closer and closer to him every minute. From the distance, he could see the town. So he fastened his pace and by the time, the sandstorm reached him, he was already hiding inside of the building and waiting for it to be over.
Hours later, he was sitting on the ground and hugging his knees, while sleeping. He had thought that he could stay awake through the storm, but the exhaustion finally caught up to him and so he had fallen asleep, while waiting.
Suddenly, he was woken up by the sound of cars, driving towards the town. He looked around and quickly got up. He then ran over to the closest window and looked out of the window, to see four armored humvees driving in a row. Each car had a mounted 50. Cal machine gun on the roof with a gunner behind the gun. The gunner was wearing completely black combat armor with his helmet on.
"Shit. The Reapers."E-7 muttered, as he saw the armor. He quickly ran away from the window and hid in a closet. While he was hiding in the closet, he took out his Berreta 92 and started to put on the suppressor on the gun. He then loads in a mag full of subsonic bullets. Reason for it, is not to be silent, so the Reapers wouldn't hear, because Reapers can learn about his position almost immediately, thanks to their tech. The reason he is making the gun as silence as possible, is because his ears are sensitive and if he were to fire inside of a house without a suppressor and subsonic ammo, he could damage his ears.

As he finishes loading the gun, he hears the cars breaking outside, with the sound of doors opening and closing following it.
Outside of the house, the four humvees have stopped and four man got out of each car, with a gunner still in the car. So in total, there were twenty of them.
"Okay. Drones up and search the place!"one who has red marks on his helmet, orders the others. All of them take a drone and throw them in the air. The drones start to fly around and search the place, while the man look at the screen on their left wrist.
One of the drones enters the house, that E-7 is hiding in. As the drone is flying through the house, it stops in front of a closet. It hovers in front of the closet and then, a small hook is shot at the closet, opening the door.
"Fuck."he mutters, before shooting the drone, destroying it.
"Found one. He took out a drone."one of the man say.
"Where is he?"the leader asks.
"That building."he replies and points at the building.
"Bravo and Charlie move in. Alpha and Delta surround the building."The leader orders and everyone gets moving.
Eight people enter the building with their guns drawn and the other eight surround the place and block any exit point.
As for E-7, he looks around the place, to find an exit route. He knows that the seeable exits are covered, so he needs to find....an exit, that can't be seen from the ground and he just found one.
He looks at the small hatch on the roof. He looks around, but doesn't see anything to Open the hatch with, so he aims his gun and shoots a couple of rounds into it, until it's pushed open. He puts his gun away and jumps up. As he gets onto the roof, the eight man have gotten to his location.
"The roof."one of the man yells over the comms.
Outside, the leader says"Get the drones onto the roofs."
"Yes sir."
The leader looks at the screen on his wrist and sees the boy running on roof.
"There you are."he mutters and then sees the boy taking out his gun and shooting the drone down. Five more drones follow after that.
"Six bullets left."the leader mutters and then decides to chase after him himself.
"I got this. Stay."he orders them through the comms, as he quickly climbs onto the roof, where he sees the boy. The boy has stopped at the edge of the building, because the other building is about six meters away.

"Drop your gun and put your hands above your head!"the man yells at E-7, who slowly turns around and throws his gun onto the ground. He then puts his hands above his head and looks at the man, who is approaching him, while having his gun aimed at E-7.
When he is next to him, he lowers his gun and as he is about to handcuff him, E-7 kicks his hand away and climbs over the man. As he is on top of him, he kicks him in the back, when jumping towards his gun.
The man trips a little and E-7 aims his gun and loads five rounds at the man, only to have the bullets bounce off.
"Small calibre bullets are useless."the man says and turns around, to see E-7 holding the gun at his head and is hesitating to pull the trigger.
"Oh no you don't."the man says, before shooting E-7 in the hand, shooting the Berreta out of his hands. The next thing he sees, is a noor into his face, before everything goes black.
The man is looking over the boy and through the comms, he says"I have captured the target and will return now."
"Good job David."is replied back through the comms.
E-7 is slowly starting to wake up and the first thing he sees, when he opens his eyes, is a roof, that he has never seen in his life. He slowly looks around the place and sees that there is no one else here. As he looks around, he starts to remember and when he remembers everything, he immediately tries to get up, but can't, as he is cuffed to the bed. Both of his hands and legs are cuffed and he has no way out of these cuffs.
He looks around a little more, before dropping his head onto the pillow.
What he doesn't know, is that he is watched through hidden cameras and the ones who are looking at him, are a fifty year old man wearing a black suit, a thirty year old man, wearing a black combat armor and a woman in her forties, wearing a lab coat.
"So this is the White Demon?"the man in the suit asks and David replies"Yes. His appearance is spot on with the description of the White Demon. So yes...He is him."
"Hmm. He doesn't seem dangerous at all. We know that he can shoot, but what else he can do?"
"I believe you should know about his body then."the woman says.
"Hmm why?"he asks her.
"Well because almost everything in his body is modified or completely changed. He is 152cm tall, but weighs 73,6kg."
"He doesn't look to be fat or that muscular. So how is he so heavy?"David asks her.
"At first I had no idea, but after I checked more thoroughly through his body, I found out that his muscles and bones are at least twice as dense as a normal persons. Now look at this."she hands them a punch of pictures of x-ray.
The two man look together and then David asks"Is that a fucking bullet wound?"
"Yes. Right through the heart, but it's still beating."she continues"Now comes the fun part: he has 97 scars, which two of them are gunshot, 57 from slicing and 37 stab wounds and a one wound from a metal boot to the face. His immune to most of the medicine we have given him. His nerves are completely fucked up. And finally, his healing speed... David, you shot a bullet through his hand right?"
"Yes."
"Well...The wound has already completely healed and now only a scar is left."
"What. How fucking fast does he heal. Is he a fucking Wolverine or something?"David asks with a confused voice.
"Nope. His body has been modified so that he will heal at an accelerated speed. But because the healing progress is accelerated, his body will tire at a faster speed."
David doesn't say anything, but the man in the suit does"What the fuck did they do to him."
Later, the door to E-7 room is opened and David enters the room, now in casual clothes. Immediately, he is being looked by E-7, who stares at him with anger in his eyes.
As for David, he slowly walks over to him and tries to say something in a pretty shitty Arabic. David struggles to get a sentence out and when he does, it is almost impossible to understand what he just said. E-7 seeing this, sighs and says
"I can speak english, Asshole."

Child of Dusk
Life can be cruel, especially to those who don't fit in. But what would you do if you were given a second chance? Tim was a nobody during his time on Earth. As a penniless orphan with no friends to speak of, life was tough for him in his little Arizona town in the '90s. He'd utterly lost hope for the future until one day, he was reincarnated as Alvanue, beloved daughter and heir to the Starlit Throne of Silthonduen. Now, Alvanue has everything a princess could ever want: a loving family, loyal comrades and an entire kingdom at her finger tips. But what good is a kingdom when there's a whole world of magic and mystery out there to explore? *** Ok! Disclaimer time. I do edit my own work and I do not have a beta reader, so please feel free to point out any errors or plot holes (politely, of course). Each chapter will be around 4,000 to 6,000 words long and while I was posting every day at the beginning, I think I'll cut that down to once a week for now, excluding bonus chapters! I really don't want to get burned out. I started writing this because I love world building, so this is gonna be heavy on lore. If you're not into that, there's still a ton of character progression and action to look forward to! It's going to be slow at the beginning, but I promise it will pick up eventually. Thanks for checking my story out, I appreciate it a lot!

The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
