《Deck of Cards》8th-10th floor

-Eighth floor.
The group currently was walking on the eighth floor of the dungeon with quiet steps, so they wouldn't alert the wolves.
While they were walking, a loud howl could be heard from the distance with bunch of quieter howls following it.
"They know we are here. Get ready!"Walther orders them and so they draw their to get ready for a fight.
"Sky."Echo says and she replies"Yes. Already on it."
She places her hands onto the vines and after a few seconds she says."A pack of wolves with an Alpha. They are approaching us fast."
"Okay."he tells her and then tells to Walther"Alpha wolf is coming."
"Alpha. Oh no. Everyone get into defensive position!"he orders them immediately after hearing Echo. He himself raises his shield and waits.
Dozens of foot steps could be heard from a distance with one of the wolves footsteps louder then the others.
'Alphas footsteps.'
From the distance, a pair of red glowing eyes appear from the darkness and dozens of more pairs follow soon.
'Judging from the height of their eyes, the regular wolves Are about 1,2m and the Alpha 2m. This is gonna take time.'
"Mages. Fire!"Walther commands them and so they follow it by shooting their magic. [Fireball], [Lighting Bolt], [Ice Spike] and many more spells are shot by the mages at the wolves. With every hit, painful cries could be heard from the darkness, where a big wolf with jet black fur stepped out of.
He growls, while showing is sharp and big teeth. The mages immediately shoot their spells at it, but it does no damage to the alpha. Seeing this, they stop shooting at him and shoots st the wolves behind him.
When the Alpha sees this, he lets out a loud howl and then starts running towards the group. Archers Are shooting their bows and hit him with their arrows, but the Alpha still doesn't slow down, even though dozen or so arrows Are sticking out of his body.

"Shit."Echo mutters
'It seems to be immune to magic and arrows really don't slow him down.'
Echo thinks for a few seconds and tells Skyeza"Try to bind him with vines."
"Okay."she replies and touches the vine on the wall, while chanting [Nature Control]. This makes the vines immediately burst out of walls, ceiling and the floor, quickly tying the Alpha down. But the wold doesn't go down without a fight and with his strength he snaps a lot of the vines, but not fast enough and so finally he is stopped completely.
"That won't hold for long. So finish him now!"Echo yells at them and so Jack with his great sword walks over to the wolf and swings it down on it, cutting it's head vertically in half, making the red blood fly everywhere.
Few wolves who were left, tried to run away, but Echo took them down before they could do that. He then looked at Skyeza, who seemed a little tired and so he supported her.
"Everyone okay?"Walther asks them and they reply with a "Yes."
"That's good. Lets keep moving then."he says and sheaths his sword, like the others have already.
-Ninth floor
After reaching the ninth floor, Echo told Skyeza to search for enemies, but she said there wasn't anyone beside them here. When he told that to Walther, he replied"That's strange. Golems here can't blend in with the dungeon, because they aren't powerful enough."
"Then what? Have they been killed?"Asks Echo him, who immediately gets his answer, when he looks in front of him.
He sees dozen or so golems completely destroyed, with only their remains scattered around the corridor.
"What the hell?"Echo says and Walther next to him says"Could there be another person here?"

"It is possible, but why were the last eighth floors not cleared. They respawn only once a month."Echo says and slows down his pace, to wait for Skyeza to catch up. Now that they were walking side by side, he said"Be careful on the next floor."
"Naturally."she replies to him.
They keep walking through the corridor and only keep finding remains of the golems. Because this floor was already cleared, they headed to the tenth floor, where there was a single long stone corridor with a giant door at the end.
Now that the group had reached the door, they stopped in front of it. Walther turned around to look at them and said"Okay. Everyone be careful now. In that room is a powerful monster, so you need to be careful. Keep your distance from it and attack it from behind. Golems are slow, but they are very big and pack a punch. So don't take them on from the front, unless you want to die. So now everyone check their equipment and we will enter after ten minutes. Got it?!"
"Yes!"they reply together.
They sit down and start to check their equipment. Obviously Echo and Skyeza do it too and after they are done, Echo has 50 cards left and Skyeza had five borrowed arrows. She ran out of hers and so Echo asked a few arrows from her. She herself was to shy to ask and asked Echo to do it.
"Okay. Now that everyone is ready, lets go!"Walther says and opens the door to the room. Even though the doors are big, they didn't seem to take any effort for Walther to open them.
The group enters the spacious room, with high ceiling. The room is circle shaped and seems about twenty meters high, with a light source on the ceiling. The walls of the room are covered with crack and plants growing out of those cracks. The floor has some kind of engraving in it and at the middle of the room, on the floor, there is..... destroyed golem.
"It seems that this one was killed recently."Says Walther and then turns to the group.
"Be careful. Whoever did this, is probably around here, because the portal hasn't been used yet."
"Yes. Be careful. I am still here."

This is the story of a man who had nothing yet lost everything but a single wish, a silver lining that would completely change his life. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's Notes - Hello everyone! This is my first work and I will hopefully stay around for a while. I will try to finish or at least expand on this piece of work for quite some time, expect a few hiatuses in between though, still have a bit of schooling to do. Expected release dates will probably be once a week(not sure yet) after I stabilized the novel a bit as I'm still debating on how I should handle this. I prefer fleshed-out works compared to quick releases, but it also depends on how I'm feeling. I don't have a lot of confidence in my writing skills and I believe that my writing style is a bit weird, but I do want to try my best to tell a story that's worth telling. I will gladly accept criticism but please try to pull the punches back a bit! I'm still only human after all. Very excited to work on this, please take good care of me as I proceed on this journey with all of you! P.S. If you're going into my series, expect to see cliches sprinkled here and there. I personally love cliches and a few tropes! But, that goes without saying, I want to put my own spin on them. Be ready to feel the edge!!! Heh.
