Vert just looks up at the laughing Gnome Goddess like she is stupid. She had seen Vert's power first hand so he figured she would've backed down but she seems to be trying to make a 'grand appearance'. It didn't work though, as seeing a girl who is under 4 feet tall try to look all high and mighty doesn't work very well.

Tia notices the unwavering confidence Vert has and opens the floating book in her hand. Flipping a few pages, Tia reads a spell and points out her left arm at Vert with her palming facing him.

"Firestorm." Tia says and a cyclone of flames forms int her hand and heads towards Vert. Vert notices the power from this spell and uses his blistering speed to easily dodge the spell. Cynthia can see the Firestorm hit exactly where Vert was standing but it missed. In response to missing, the Firestorm bends and heads straight towards Cynthia.

Laughing at how easy it is to fend off a fire attack with raw power, Cynthia slashes her Scythe downwards and cuts the Firestorm in half, sending it in two different directions past Cynthia, barely missing. Tia focuses more of her power onto the Firestorm spell and the Firestorm starts to mold back together with Cynthia in the direct middle of it.

Cynthia notices the firestorm is morphing back together so she jumps into the air, completely out of danger from being in the middle of the reforming Firestorm. That's what Tia wanted though.

Stuck falling down in mid-air, the Firestorm turns around and towards Cynthia's back. She is not expecting it now and Tia believes to have Cynthia dead now. As the flames of the Firestorm nip at the blood stained shirt of Cynthia, Tia can feel a sharp pain in her casting hand, followed by an electric pulse of lightning.

The Firestorm dissipates into nothingness right before it could engulf Cynthia and Tia is screaming in pain and agony. Vert has the claws on his gauntlets impaled into Tia's arm and sent a lighting bolt directly through her body. Smoke rises from Tia's eyes as Vert is still sending electricity through her body.

"You know. You really helped me out by forcing me to find out more about my powers," Vert says while not stopping the torturous actions towards Tia with sending lightning in her veins. "But I think your usefulness to me is over is this world."

Tia's veins are turning a bright blue and her skinning is turning a pulsating red. Vert activates Eyes of the Reaper again and the black holes begin to suck the soul straight from Tia's body. Tia tries to not look vert in the eyes but he takes his free hand and makes her stare into his eyes.

"Noo! Not like this! Just kill me!" Tia pleads with her voice becoming raspy and nearly incomprehensible.

"You don't deserve that. Who knows the other powers you've stolen from other people. That is enough for me to put you through an eternity of darkness and solitary. Plus I think you could make a great soul to house a demon." Vert says as a huge smile stretches across his face. Tia can no longer the Vert's Eyes and her soul is sucked into him and sent into the Underworld. Tia's soulless body falls to the ground with a soft mushing sound. Most of her internal organs and bones have been melted and turned to goo.

Vert usually appreciates the smell of death but Tia's body just smell horrendous to him to the point he pinches his nose shut. He flicks the boiled blood of the now deceased Goddess off of the tips of his gauntlets and humming a song. He noticed that Tia had used the book to cast magic and he decides to go check it out for himself. He figured it would be Tia's achievement book but he was wrong. The book floats in Vert left hand as he observes the cover of it.

On the cover of the book it says "Magi's Articuluim. By: Apollyon.".

'I wonder who Apollyon is.' Vert says to himself and the book begins to open and flip through its own pages as if it is alive. Startled at first, Vert lets out an amazed 'Woaah' as thousands of pages of information flip at insane speeds. After 10 seconds, the book stops flipping its pages and land on a page nearly in the middle of the book. Vert begins to read what's on the page.

'Apollyon, The God of Chaos. Creator of the Council of Gods and Creator of Magic. He is considered the most powerful being to exist.' The page goes on and on but Vert has read enough to realize what this book has done. It read his mind and flipped to the exact page he needed to read to find out the information Vert wanted to know. Vert looks away from the book and down at the puddle of a corpse formerly known as Tia and the book closes itself.

'If she had something this strong then why didn't she use a stronger spell on us? I mean the creator of Magic wrote this book you think there would be more powerful spells... Well whatever, it's mine now.' Vert think to himself. Vert begins to wonder on how he will store this surprisingly big book and the book begins to glow a bright blue. After a second the book turns into a small book at the end of a necklace.

Accepting the convenientness of this book, Vert puts the necklace around his neck and he finally looks down at himself for the first time in a while. The once white clothes he had worn are now a crimson red and were dried with blood. Vert hadn't remembered how many gnomes he had killed on his rampage but all he knows is that it felt good.

A soft thud lands beside Vert as Cynthia finally makes her way out of The Pit. She had to find a wall low enough for her to jump up and it took her a few tries but after a small amount of time she made it. Cynthia walks up to Vert and wonders about what they will do next. Vert turns to Cynthia and sees she is covered in dried blood too. Vert laughs as he knows they will be in this state for a long time and he pats the head of Cynthia, rubbing her jet black hair.

Cynthia is confused on what is going on and gives Vert an angry look.

"What are you doing?" She asks with a mean tone.

"Don't worry about it. Now, let's find our way back to your home." Vert says while chuckling through his words. He is happy he luckily managed to find someone to share his everlasting burden with. Someone who he can train and depend on in the future. Vert grabs the book on his necklace.

'Where is Refrem compared to where I am now?' Vert thinks to himself and the miniature version of the book becomes big again and flips to a page with a map on it. On the page is a direct path from where Vert is to where Refrem is and Vert nods his head as he memorizes the way. The book becomes small again and falls to Vert's chest, hanging by the chain necklace attached to it.

Cynthia doesn't know when Vert got this book or how they plan on getting back to Refrem but she doesn't have to ask before Vert picks her up and puts her over his shoulder. She goes to say something in resistance to this but both her and Vert have vanished from sight and are on their way home. Vert runs extra fast as he is full of excitement and power. He really wants to test a summoning ritual now.

*In Heaven*

A loud voice fills the empty room in a fit of laughter. The tall heavenly figure of Seraph is laying on the floor, laughing to the point of crying.

"You fucked up Eria! Not only did Tia fail to kill Vert but she made him 10 times stronger. You did my work for me!" Seraph says in between each laugh. Eria's fists are balls as she can feel pure fury burning inside of her. She was confident in her choice to be able to win but now Tia has no chance of doing anymore achievements. Eria begins to think of a plan of releasing Tia somehow.

"Tell Vert to release Tia's soul right now! Keeping it in the Underworld is cheating!" Eria says in a scream at Seraph.

"You know what Uncle said about Vert right?! You shouldn't of tried to fuck with him. All of this is your fault. The worst thing is you lost the gift Uncle gave you in the process." Seraph says while still laughing at Eria's ignorance about Vert's power.

Apollyon, the former Head of the Council, warned everyone about how strong Vert could get and when Apollyon finally died and the draft began, Seraph used his first pick to get Vert as his hero. Sure Seraph got some battle scars when trying to release Vert from the prison Apollyon put him in but it was worth it. Though Dolos put some restrictions on Seraph so he couldn't help Vert prosper but it seems Eria has done Seraph's job for him. This is why Seraph was laughing so hard at his sister.

With Seraph mentioning their deceases Uncle, Eria became angrier and angrier by the second. A massive amount of power exploded out of Eria and was sent in Serpah's direction but he just puts up his hand and the power vanishes. Serpah is still laughing at Eria as she storms at of his room in a continuous fit of anger. Seraph lets a satisfied sigh and finally stops laughing.

Seraph looks down into the well in the middle of the room and can see Vert carrying his hero to their home. Seraph smiles to himself as he had worried for nothing. Sure Seraph had a minion steal Vert's Scythe when it flew away and give it someone who would fit Hero of Death but Seraph had confidence in his God Candidate.

You'd never think that the God of Justice would be proud of the God of Death but sometimes, Death is Justice.
