The woman slashes the air as Vert manages to jump backwards just in time to dodge impending death. Ready to start his own offensive before she can control the flow of the battle, Vert vanishes from sight and reappears behind the woman with the scythe. The white-haired woman seems to be unexpecting of Vert's attack but something hits him in the back and makes him stumble before he could punch her in the back of the head. Confused and off balance, Vert turns around to see the same girl he was just getting ready to attack, right behind him.

"Wait, what?!"

Vert recognizes this woman's combat abilities and readies his fist. Standing in a fight stance, Vert is slightly frightened as he had not sensed this woman's attack from behind but now he knows to be careful since she seems to be fast. He is assuming that the same girl from before had attacked from behind but this was false as he heard someone behind him once more. Turning around again he could see that the original girl is still there. He turns back to the other girl, then back to the original, then back to the other, then the original. Now he is standing so each girl is to his right and left. He chuckles slightly as he knows that he has gotten into a situation he probably shouldn't have.

Both girls notice Vert is laughing and take the opportunity to attack him while he is the least prepared. The one to the left of Vert swings to her right and aims for Vert's head and the one to his left also swings to her right but aims for Vert's legs. Before he could react the Scythes are already directly behind him and in front of him, closing into him like shiny white teeth. Thinking they have Vert as good as dead, both girls give the same maniacal smile at the same time as before they were completely emotionless. As the two Scythes pass each other, the sound of air being cut through could be heard but nothing less as the image of Vert vanished. Perplexed at what happened, the two girls look at each other and both at the same time slightly tilt their head to the side in confusion.

Vert, who is currently in the air as he had avoided death from jumping high above the tree line, starts a song as the two girls don't know where he is at. Whispers fill the two girls ears, full of insults and phrases that could break someone mentally. One of them cover their ears as the other one looks to the sky were the source of the sound is coming from. Vert zooms towards the ground and lands as dust clouds pollute the air from his harsh landing. The low sound of a deep-voiced man could be heard as Vert stands there, sizing up the two. After a few seconds, Vert begins to sing along with the song.

"Question for the maker, and it's, Aw Yeah? This the way it's supposed to be huh?..... Aight."

Before the two girls could think about what sound is coming from Vert's gauntlets he launches to the one who is on his right and delivers a blow to her stomach, sending her flying through three thin oak trees and into a large oak tree where the sound of metal being crushed could be heard. He punched her as hard as possible but the punch hurt his hand enough to think she was wearing thick armour when she only wore a white button-up shirt and a black skirt.

"Sippin... On a glass of red wine thinkin, everybody down here trippin."

Vert turns towards the other girl after saying "sippin" and dashes towards her. She gets ready for his attack and prepares herself by holding her Scythe in a fighting stance. She is confused on what this man she is trying to kill is talking about but as he says the words "trippin" he disappears from her view about 8 feet away and something hits her square in the nose. Flying backwards and unable to stop, the girl lets go of her Scythe and her back hits a tree, bending her body in the shape of a "U" around it.

"If you up there, Upstairs, This is Nina tellin’ you to listen. The vision I’m givin’, everyday, Life is dumpin’ on us like a pigeon."

Vert stands where he had punched the second girl in the face, ready for them to come back and fight him at any moment whilst singing "Aw Yeah" by Tech N9ne, but at the end of the line, they both lay still, not moving. He keeps singing the song and anticipating them to get up but after about 20 seconds, nothing happens.

'So much for a tough fight I guess, these girls only lasted one punch-.'

Vert's train of thought is interrupted as something pierces his back as he lets out a scream of pain. He can feel the cold steel go straight into his shoulder blade and a warm red liquid dribble down his back. He turns around with a face twisted in pain and sees 2 more girls that look the exact same as the two he was just fighting. There were slight differences in their faces but everything else was the same, including clothes, hair, and weapons. As one of them rips their Scythe out of Vert's back, his hands begin to feel like they are on fire. His music begins to distort as the gauntlets themselves seem to be melting off of his body. His connection to the Underworld also becomes severed as his one Eye of the Reaper fades back into its normal colour and his pupil returns to normal. Horrified at what is happening to him, Vert can feel himself begin to fall asleep as the two girls talk to each other in metallic voices.

"It seems that this one has defeated Lis and Liz."

"Quite."

"So we should take him back from more.... experimenting."

"Ooooh, that should please mother."

Not knowing what is happening to his body or why his gauntlets are melting off of him, Vert can barely let out one sentence as he falls to the ground unconscious.

"God.... Damnit..."

*In the heavens.*

The sound of a large wooden door echoes throughout the room as a short girl boastfully enters.

"Yahooo~! Seraph! Are you home?"

The large winged creature in the room sighs as the annoying pest calls out his name. He is currently watching what is going on with his Candidate and he knows why Eria, the Goddess of Nature, is here. She runs over to Seraph after seeing that he is in fact home, even though he really has nowhere else to be.

"It seems that my Candidate has captured yours. Even after taking on 2 other Candidates and almost dying each time you think that little Niko would learn. He really isn't the brightest."

They both stare into the well that reflects the area around Vert. Seraph shakes his head as he doesn't like when people doubt his God Candidate. Eria looks up to the tall, angel looking God and giggles a little.

"If only you weren't so stubborn, his life would be so much easier! You should probably help him out before my little Tia gets ahold of him. That would be bad for everyone if that were to happen, right?"

Eria gives Seraph a wink and sticks her tongue at him and leaves the room, shutting the doors behind her. Seraph knows that Vert could easily become a God on his own accord but with the interference of the actual Gods then he might need a helping hand. It's a good thing that Seraph has already set something in motion that will surely help Vert escape Tia's clutches and progress quicker. A small white light appears beside Seraph as a catgirl comes into view. Seraph looks down at his most faithful servant with anticipation. She looks up at Seraph and gives him a full report if his plan worked or not. Satisfied, Seraph looks back towards the well as the 2 who had knocked Vert out are now carrying him back to the Pit.

"Don't worry Vert, your first hero will find you soon."
