Selina POV

We just celebrated Ryu's 1st birthday. I gave him a new toy. It was nice to see him playing. My idiot husband got him a sword... Sigh.. I don't know what to do with him anymore. What is a 1 year old baby going to do with a sword? Can't he even think first. Always running around with Ryu saying that he's going to be a great warrior. Fufu... I am going to turn Ryu into a super powerful mage. And if my dear husband dares to object..... fufufu I have some punishments for him. Fufufu should I use that one? No this would be better fufufu.

A dark aura swirled around Selina. All the maids turned around acted like they didn't see anything. Somewhere in the house, a man suddenly started shivering.

Zaenor POV

What was that? Is something dangerous nearby? Why did I start feeling like my life was in danger? Hmmm? The feeling is gone. Maybe a dragon flew by? Whatever. What was I doing again? Oh yeah. What should I give Ryu as a replacement for the sword. Hmph. (snorts) Can't believe that Selina didn't let me give Ryu a sword for his 1st birthday. If he doesn't start playing with swords now, how is he going to become a legendary Warrior? I mean my parents started training me with weapons since I was 4 and look how I turned out. I am great aren't I. Yeah I am. Hahaha. Now what should I give him. Oh I know, maybe Selina didn't let me give him a sword because he can't pick it up yet! That must be the reason! [author note: no its not. I feel sorry for this guy] She is so smart! In that case, what can he pick up and play with. This dagger? Hmm how about this dart? Oh I know this needle! It's perfect! It's sharp and can be concealed and since it's small Ryu can easily weird it. Fufufu. Let's start training Ryu. RYU, RYU, WHERE ARE YOU?

Meanwhile....

Ryu was in the courtyard playing with his new toy. His mother had gotten him a toy horse with wheels instead of legs. There was a rope attached to the head of the toy horse. He was fascinated by it, pushing and pulling it around with him everywhere he went. He laughed in delight as he played. The maids were watching him making sure to keep him safe. The occasional guard going past on patrol would smile as he saw this adorable scene. The maids were all thinking that it would be nice if he was like this forever. They were hoping that he didn't inherit his mother's temper or his father's block headedness. Just imagining him with his mother's temper made them break out in cold sweat. Suddenly the doors to the courtyard burst open, interrupting everyone's thoughts. They turned around to see who it was and they saw....

Zaenor shouted, "RYU!!! Look what daddy has for you!!!"

Everyone stared at Zaenor wondering what was going to happen next. Ryu just stared at the man who interrupted his playtime. Zaenor excitedly explained, "Daddy brought you a brand new toy! It's an assassin's needle! You can conceal it and you can use it easily and ....."

As Zaenor rambled on, everyone stared in shock. The lord had brought his 1 year old son a weapon as a toy. However the shock soon turned to dread. If.. If her Ladyship were to find out about this.... The thought made their insides churn. Just as a maid was about to warn the Lord... A voice spoke up, "Fufufufu. Looks like someone's having fun doing something they shouldn't be doing."

Everyone turned around and saw their worst nightmare, Everyone turned pale. Standing in the doorway was a woman surrounded by a dark, menacing, evil aura that was covering the entire courtyard. The atmosphere became suffocating. Zaenor stood there looking normal. Everyone thought that he was going to stand up to his wife. Their view of the Lord began to rise. Suddenly they noticed something. His legs were shaking uncontrollably. Their perception of him went lower than it originally was. What a coward they thought.

Zaenor said while shaking, "Darling, look I got him a new present."

Selina smiled while shaking her head, "Dear, I thought I told you no weapons last time." [Author: This woman is scary]

Zaenor was shocked, "WHAT! i thought you said no sword because Ryu is too small to wield it!"

Everyone stared at him and thought all at once, "What an IDIOT!!"

Selina was still shaking her head, "Dear look like you need to learn a lesson."

Zaenor suddenly ran and picked up Ryu and said, "Ryu help daddy!!! Save me from mommy!! Please Please Please."

Everyone just stared dumbly and sighed. Why doesn't he learn his lesson??

Selina moved forward while an overwhelming aura spread out from her back, "Oh you dare to talk back DEAR??"

Zaenor stammered, "Look Look Ryu is on his daddy's side. You don't want to make Ryu sad do you? Come on Ryu tell mommy. Come on Ryu."

Ryu kept silent. Selina said, "See he's not helping you. Fufu now put him down and get your ......"

Ryu softly said, "Mo...Momma"

Everyone suddenly stopped everything and all thoughts came to a halt. The one thing on everyone's mind was DID RYU JUST SPEAK?? Ryu had always been a quiet child and would always play silently. Even when the other children had started talking, Ryu would just sit quietly and stare. He was not retarded, everyone knew. His gaze was intelligent as he was observing everything. Everyone thought maybe he's just shy or quiet nature. They always took it in stride and pampered Ryu. but his one word had suddenly brought tears to everyone's eyes.

A Maid asked, "Did.. Did the young master just speak?"

A Guard replied, "I heard him but i don't believe it."

Selina just laughed, "Fufufu." She started giggling even though she had tears in her eyes from the sudden shock.

Zaenor was worried, "Selina, .... are you okay?"

Selina laughed and proclaimed, "HAHAHA, fool. Ryu's first word was mommy. That means he likes me better. How do you like defeat?"

Zaenor shouted in denial, "N. N. O.. NO WAY!!! This can't be true. this isn't happening."

Selina proclaimed, "HAHAHA it's my victory!"

Zaenor stammered, "B.Bu.But if if if I hadn't told him he wouldn't have said mommy first."

Selina suddenly shouted in shock, "Wah! This can't be."

Zaenor seeing this put on a smug face and started to say, "So that means this is..."

Selina interrupted, "A draw. Unless you want OTHERWISE?"

Zaenor shrugged not wanting his wife to get into a bad mood, "That fine. Although Ryu come on say daddy say daddy."

Ryu said softly, "Da...Dada."

Zaenor shouted in joy, "OH!!! My little son said daddy. Yes! We're having a feast today."

Selina softly prompted, "Ryu say mommy. Come on."

Ryu responded, "Momma."

Selina gloated, "HAHA my son is a genius. HAHAHA"

Zaenor pouted, "No fair. My turn. Say daddy Ryu. Say daddy."

As the couple took turns having their son say their names, the Town soon turned into a festival. Zaenor started a feast and invited everyone to take part in it. Drinking, singing, and dancing began happening all over town. And so the festivities continued all night long.

Still No-one noticed the entity standing over the town though.

The Entity Sighed, "Should I go down there and enjoy a bit too? Hah.. Well too late now, their closing up. I shouldn't be so indecisive. Anyway I heard it's fun to hang around mortals sometimes. This one truly is entertaining. Especially his parents. Never seen mortals that are so................rare? No that's not the word.........Hmm Unique! That's what they are. Unique. Especially that woman. Seriously why are all woman so ... soon.. Hmmm, whats the word I'm looking for. Ahh! Thats it, Terrifying. Seriously no matter which realm or if they are mortal or not, why do women have such tempers. Seriously I am so lucky. Hahaha. Anyway what was I thinking about? Oh yeah the boy! Huhuhu. With those parents, I wonder if the Boy is also going to turn out to be more UNIQUE??? Hahaa, lets see."
