=====Vol 2 Chap 2=====

“This is the Rezal Kingdom’s Capital, Fauna, huh.” Said Archillies.

Right now, we are walking towards the line where everyone stands and wait for inspection, of course, we are only wearing ‘minimal’ requirements for adventuring, such as a sword and leather armor.

Until the line is finished, I asked Archillies to give me Inka, and as always, he replied with..

“As long as she allows it, I don’t mind.”

So, I try to carry her, and thankfully, she did not try to escape from my grasp.

While petting her, I uncontrollably giggle due to her cuteness, ah, Inka is so cute…

And because of that, I started to feel some gazes fall upon me, but I didn’t care, because…

Archillies would have already noticed it and released his pressure, making them avert their eyes.

Finally after 30 minutes, our turn came, and we showed our Guild Cards, making them let us go through.

The Capital, Fauna, surrounded by a large, gray wall spanning around the city in a circular manner, with three more gates.

Currently, we are entering from the south gate and planning to go look for an inn, which thankfully appeared right in front of us.

As for how the city looks on the inside, it looks a lot like the capital of Sefai Lopie, so there is not much to add, except for the difference between the fact that nearly only beastmen inhabit this country, and the vice for Sefai Lopie.

...But just before we could actually enter the Inn… sigh…

“You, big guy, I challenge you to a duel!”

“”...””

Came a Lion-Man, with all his golden furry glory, challenging Bob for no reason.

“No.” Bob said, then we all turned on our heels and started moving away.

...That is, before he suddenly dashed at us, or more specifically, at Bob.

Without breaking a sweat, Bob unsheathed his Greataxe and used it as a shield on his back, blocking off the Lion-Beast’s attack.

“Is that a declaration of war?”

“It is.” Said the beastman with a smirk.

Finally, Bob turned towards the Beastman and readied his stance before dashing at him.

Unable to comprehend Bob’s speed, his eyes grew wide, however, his intuition warned him before anything else, making him roll to his right, dodging.

Crack!

Just in the place where the Beastman was standing, Bob slashed vertically, causing the axe to crash into the ground with great force and breaking the ground.

For some reason, the axe had survived, but I expect no less of Archillies’ weapons.

“Ha.. ha.. I knew you were the righ-”

Just before he finished his sentence, Bob didn’t pull out the axe, instead, he stored it in Archillies’ ‘Pocket Dimension’, then got behind the Beastman before holding the back of his head and thrusting it towards the ground.

“Augh!”

He groaned, but Bob didn’t stop, and started literally scrubbing the ground with his face.

Grinding sounds were made, the rocky ground was polished, and someone’s pride was destroyed.

“Ahhh! I give up!”

He started tapping his hand on the floor, but Bob didn’t stop until the ground started getting bloodied.

Stopping the grinding, he lifted his hands away from the back of the beastman’s head and dusted in a clapping motion.

Archillies stared at Bob for a second before raising his hand in a fist pose and putting up his thumb and saying.

“Good job, now come on.”

“W..wait..”

“..Hmm?”

How is he still conscious?

“You have passed… Argh.. the test, go and train with the granny, take this letter with you.”

He said, before standing up and stretching his back.

“Whaddya mean?”

“I am the king of this country, Li-”

“Fine, you are the king and we have to go up that mountain while carrying this letter, is that it?”

“Yes, tell ‘that’ person up there that I said hello.”

“...Fine, but can’t we just rest for a while? We just came, after all.”

“Nope, go now, you have more than enough energy to deliver the letter.”

Then Archillies looked at me.

“Tsk.. What do you think, Rain? Go along with what he wants or stay here forcefully? They can’t touch us either way.”

“I’m fine with going, we don’t really have anything planned.”

“Okay, then off to the mountains we go!”

With those words, he glared at the King as if he was saying ‘You are lucky she agreed’, making the King flinch.

Unable to control myself from finding his reaction funny, I silently laughed before moving towards the West gate with the rest of the group.

….

“Sigh.. I shouldn’t have agreed, it is night after all..”

“He never said that we can’t sleep outside, though? We always have our tents.” replied Archillies.

“Hmm..”

Looking around, I can feel a couple of unknown presences hiding themselves in the shadow, but it seems like I wasn’t the only one who noticed, since Archillies started slowing down to match their pace.

With no words, Bob and Bamus disappeared into smokes, I don’t remember them learning that, but they disappeared, nevertheless.

“Gah!”

They appeared once again near the stalkers, then their presences stopped moving.

Ah, they were truly unlucky even if they had leveled up their ‘Sneak’ skills or whatever, they should honestly pick their targets correctly.

Honestly, the bunny-beast princess stopped at another city, made a feast and tried getting married off to Archillies forcefully..

It is a fact that if he married off to her, he would most likely be obliged to protect her tribe and such, but since both of us didn’t want that to happen, we quickly escaped that night and it was two days before we reached Fauna.

Thankfully, we had gotten our reward after the feast, so no debts were left, but it was tiring.. She talked nonstop, this and that, oh you are too strong, tried to appeal cutely, those actions were annoying, and Archillies perceived them as such as well.

Bob and Bamus, well… both of them didn’t care where we go as long as Bob is doing something for us and Bamus is with Bob or studying under him.

As for me, I’d like to be with Archillies for as long as possible, but I know that we will have to part soon, after all, the requirements for my class evolution that allows me to travel to other worlds require…

A demon lord’s soul.

Don’t even mention the need to be level 10000 as well, it is like the world not wanting me to leave..

I have bad premonition about the demon lord, a weird urge to abandon that task, but I don’t know why, and probably will never know..

Anyhow, with the road to the mountain cleared, we decided to continue going without rest, after all, our constitution allows us to stay up for long amounts of time, but we like resting either way.

Up to the ‘Granny’ we go!
