《Archillies Duane : The World Traveller》Chapter 18

Once I reached the camp, I saw Rain sitting on a portable chair while cooking the food.
The Arms, which have grown to become ‘Double Arms’ lately, were going around and gathering herbs or sticks.
As for Larry, it doesn’t seem to be normal.
Well, I probably should know soon, since they are Lv99 at the moment.
I took out another portable chair and sat next to her.
My only regret is that we don’t have rice..
Actually.. Couldn’t I just summon some seeds and use ‘Plant Manipulation’ and ‘Farming’ to grow them in an instant?
Hmm..
Ah, I’m getting off-track.
The sleeping Ninetails in my arms started to move, seemingly waking up.
Once Rain noticed it, she looked like she wanted to let go of the food right now, but she held herself.
“What’s that?”
She asked.
“That’s a Ninetails that Larry just found a while ago.. Would you like to name him?”
“Hmm…”
She put her hand on her chin and started thinking deeply.
“Hey, is it a boy or a girl?”
“Didn’t check, give me a second..”
I raise Ninetails from it's arms to check it’s genitals, but I found none.
“Girl.”
Once I said that, Rain’s eyes brightened.
“Then, let’s name it Inka, no?”
“Inka it is.”
Inka looked at us with confused eyes, but I just petted it even more.
Speaking of petting, I wonder how are the Horned Rabbits..
Oh well, once I reach intermediate, I could probably visit them.
Hmm, I wonder what level I am right now…
…
The Arms really fought strong beasts to level me up by 631 times..
Adding the levels from the bandits we fought a few days ago, it is 640.
Thy level is.. 847!
Mhm, just a hundred and fifty more.
Now, time to allocate those points..
15360/3..
5120 per stat, hurray!
My body once again started remaking itself, just how many times could it do that?
Anyhow, the now purring in my hands Inka seems to have gone to sleep again.
After about 10 minutes of waiting, the cooking was done, and we all got our own servings.
Whilst eating, a pop up came to, and I couldn’t help but smile with the spoon in my mouth.
-Ding!
“Double Magic Arm Evolution in progress, please wait…”
Just like last time, they started shaking while taking more mana than usual, but an unexpected announcement came to me.

-Ding!
“Due to possessing Ancestral Memories, Double Magic Arm will evolve into Phantasmal Bodies.”
What?
I’m not complaining, rather it is making me even happier.
-Ding!
“Due to possessing Ancestral Memories, it is possible to imbue Phantasmal Bodies with your Ancestors’ souls.”
Even better, eh?
After 30 minutes of shaking and eating away at my MP reserves, they finally stopped, and started solidifying their shapes.
As before, Larry and Henry turned out to be women, while John and James were normal looking.
Bob, on the other hand, was a huge man, 2 meters tall, with all of his body full of muscles.
It is too much, yaknow Bob?
Anyhow, it seems that I could cast 5 more Phantasmal Bodies, so I decided to imbue them with ‘Ancestors’’ souls.
However, I had a problem.
I don’t know who’s soul to imbue..
For that, I just decided to make only one new phantasmal body, and put a random soul in there.
If it turned out to be someone terrible, I could just kick it out of the body, and get another soul.
Easy as that, no?
I started casting, but somehow, rather than just ‘Solidifying’, a magic gate appeared, and out of it came the body.
It has no features at all, no face, no genitals, nothing.
With that, I picked the lucky guy/girl, and put them in the body.
Now then, it is supposed to take a few hours to synthesize, so I’ll just start my training with Rain, no?
…
3 hours later, me and rain are still fighting.
The body is still changing shape, not showing any signs of stopping.
In the meantime, I learned a lot about her fighting style.
It utilizes the weight and length of the sword to further increase the power and speed or her attacks, while maintaining defense with the width of the blade.
It is more advanced than any of the styles in the books or in Earth, but it still wouldn’t beat guns.
‘Why not bring guns’, you might ask.
Well, I’m not fond of their needs, since I will need to create ammo over and over…
So, why not just use the recyclable magic?
Just solidify an image of a gun, ta-dah!
Now I could shoot magic bullets, but that is a disadvantage in of itself, no?
Anyone with magic-nullifying barriers or armor could just defend against it.
So, why not go even deeper?
Air bullets.

Nothing such as Physical-nullification exist, so it is always right there to be exploited.
Well, all of that is an idea, so I need to start some researching on guns first before I try to make an actual version of it.
For that, I ended the training, then summoned a few books about guns, and started ‘Reading’ them.
After that, I gathered mana inside my hand, then started creating each part on it’s own.
Next was connecting them, which took me only a couple of minutes.
-Ding!
“A new ability has been created, what would you like to name it?”
Magic Gun, I guess?
-Ding!
“You have created, Magic Gun.”
I casted it, and tried shooting, and thankfully, there was no recoil.
The only limit to the bullets per second is my finger, so why not create a variant?
After changing it’s mechanism, I was able to make it an automatic pistol.
Now if I could make a plasma sword, I could fight like a certain person.
Maybe?
Anyhow, it took me a whole 2 hours to finish the project, and the body seems to be stabilizing.
I didn’t think it would take all that time..
Since I can’t move the body while it is changing, I went back to taking care of Inka.
Without a care in the world, she was sleeping all this time.
Just before I got to pet her, a pop up came.
-Ding!
“Absolute Luck activated.”
What? Where?
Suddenly, an arrow missed my head by a few centimeters.
On impulse, I casted a few barriers, then took out my gun.
Activating ‘Predator’s eyes’, I checked the place where the arrow came from.
Luckily, Rain was resting in the tent, so I could just cast a barrier and leave.
They seem to be running away, so I chased after them quickly.
After a while of jumping on trees, I noticed that the ex-Arms, now Bodies(?) have been jumping about with me.
Once we reached the edge of the forest, I caught up to the shooter.
He looked behind him in a confident expression, but then terrified once he saw my face.
Without letting the chance pass, I shot his leg, and he screamed in pain as he fell face first on the ground.
I went towards him and held his head with my hands, then used mind magic to probe as to why he attacked me.
Hmm..
I see..
Seems like the actual bandit leader has found out about us.
But… it doesn’t make sense as to why he’d only send one person.
Or maybe..!
I cast teleport back to the camp, but it seems my worries were in vain.
The body as completed itself, and fought off the invaders.
Specifically 10 people, 5 of which are archers, just like the other one.
After telling the Bodies to now loot the dead bandits, I went to check on the new addition to our team.
He is.. A handsome looking man, with blond hair that flows down to his shoulders, and blue eyes.
Although normal Phantasmal Bodies are semi-transparent blue, soul imbued ones take the shape of their past bodies, with colour and all, while still maintaining the semi-transparency.
“Hello, what’s your name?”
He looked at me then clicked his tongue.
Then, I could hear him mutter under his breath.
“Couldn’t it have been a pretty lady? Tsk tsk..”
His personality annoys me, as well as the fact that he doesn’t cooperate.
“Fine then, you won’t answer?”
With the ‘Phantasmal Body’ ability, I’m able to change the target body’s stats, however, I can’t increase it more than my maximum or theirs, with special cases like Bob and this handsome guy.
Thus, I decreased all of his stats to 10, then gave him a flick on his forehead.
Thinking that he is more powerful, he took the full-blown hit without a care, to be sent flying towards the trees, breaking 4 before stopping.
Don’t worry, don’t worry, Phantasmal Bodies are immortal (Except against magic-nullifying objects), and soul-imbued ones like him feel pain.
There are those who can’t be talked to, and can only communicate with their fists.
I don’t prefer that way, but he doesn’t seem to budge except with it.
He stood up while groaning, then looked at me with disbelief.
“I’m your summoner, and you are my summon, if you disobey…”
I cracked my knuckles, making him shiver.
Maybe I should have let his stats, they weren’t even past a 1000 yet.
Let’s just leave it at 150 each, good enough.
“Now then, what is your name?”
“Dean, the king of-”
“Former king, but whatever.. I’m going to raid a bandit base, want to join?”
“Tsk..- I mean.. Yes.”
“Good.”
With that, we got on our way to the treasure house, and land of grime.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.

He hopes his knowledge of the game will help him stay out of trouble. Read as the unlikely hero gets into trouble with his new companions, while trying to survive life in this parallel world. This is an original story that takes inspiration from and pokes fun at many novels, video games, anime, and the stereotypes and tropes that appear in those media.

Rise of the Business [Class]
'Rise of the Business [Class]' is a story about a world where humanity ended up fleeing through space, after suffering several great disasters at home. On arrival we crash-landed and were soon attacked by magic wielding civilizations who learned how to deal with our weaponry with a speed that belied their seemingly simplistic nature. We were lost. But eventually we survived by abandoning technology and adapting. But this tale takes place thousands of years later, after humanity has had time to rise and falter more than once. It tells of a time where we adapted too much, focusing only on combat and magic and learning to rely on the [System] that our ancestors built in order to compete and survive on this hostile planet with the others. This is a story about our final chance during a time when all of humanity is under siege again, where we struggled to adapt too late and ultimately had to learn how to summon a collection of people from Earth through time and space to come help - but not to the 'besieged time' but back a couple of hundred years - before it went too far down the wrong path, so they can hopefully change things enough to prevent a return to that timeline. Follow Livia as she is ripped from her favorite library and end up getting lucky, or unlucky? On her very first day on the Elderwood continent. While a trio of native lads excitedly leave home to find adventure, oblivious to how very soon they might end up entangled in the fate of the world. But the question that remains to be answered, that this first leg of the journey aims to find out; is what can a LitRPG bookworm like Livia do if called on to change humanity and prepare us all for the future, all before her 21st birthday? Find out soon, as we are finishing up book 1 in the coming two weeks. Cheers for reading this far, have a biscuit!
