-uhm lord sorron are you sure you don’t need more guards on your trip ?

Gobuha asked a bit anxious while looking at the little pups and hoboku who was by my side.Honestly saying the people i had with me were few but effective so i didn’t mind the pups were weak but as long as they stood near me or hoboku things would be fine i thought.

-Don’t worry about it just think of the meat you will harvest today and remember,don’t go far off.

Gobuha nodded straightening herself,it looked cute so i patted her head for a bit making gobuha blush for a second but nonetheless it seemed like she liked at it after all and like that we said goodbye to each other and the other 2 groups which were leaving towards their hunt.Hoboko seemed a bit dispirited for some reason but steeled herself in the end.

-We also have to go,we should be back home in about 2 or 3 hours if we don’t get obstructed.

I said as i started moving into the forest towards the river,hoboku was following behind me looking around to keep me safe the other 5 pups were also following me but in a more playful style as they circled me while walking and sometimes brushing by my feet and while we were walking i even asked them a couple questions regarding them for example their age or sex and it turns out they are all 1 year old,i didn’t have a clue what it meant in human years but i just assumed that they lived for 1 year and didn’t ask further it also seems like there are only 2 males and 3 females and the current pack leader of this little pack was also the one who had approached me who was also a female,because it was a little bit awkward calling them i decided i would take the time to name the little pups,they even explained to me one of their cultures that they wouldn’t get names until they grew into a adult but at the same time they didn’t mind me naming them so i thought about their names for a bit and decided to name them after gem stones which were Ruby,Amethyst,Sapphire,Emerald and Diamond of course i pronounced the names into english making them a bit confused until i explained the meaning of the names to them hoboku also seemed interested in my naming sense so i also explained to her making her nod in delight.

When that topic was out of the way we continued to converse further surprisingly the pups had quite a bit of info regarding animals and other packs that ruled specific areas even the place we were in right now belonged to a wolf pack called the “Storm Wolves” who had one of the most highest speeds the appearance of the wolf was black with white stripes and long tail they were 2 times smaller then the crimson wolves but faster and more numerous on their journey with their mother they had met a lot of these wolves but weren’t really troubled because their mother was really strong which i didn’t deny remembering the scary fight with her and how she chased me around…

-Lord sorron something is coming our way…

The scouting slimes warned me as we were halfway through the path towards the river.I quickly linked up with the scouting slime and discovered it was a soldier beetle that was hovering towards us,i kinda felt dreaded when i saw the beetle with is intimidating large legs coming at us but at the same time i was sure hoboku was able to beat it and i needed to test something too.

-Hoboku a large beetle is about to come our way get ready i want you to kill it.

Hoboko nodded at my words and drew her small dagger…i wasn’t even sure if she would be able to damage it with that dagger so instead i quickly opened my and gave her the enchanted rusty long sword,the reason i didn’t give this weapon to anyone else was because i wanted to spare it for emergencies the weapon had a lot of scratches here and there and also a small tear so i was worried it would break in a middle of a fight and decided to spare it,i was also curious about its enchantments which were really useful in a way and also the reason why it still held on without breaking into two.

(BZZZ)

A bizzing sound could be heard as the beetle was hovering over here with high speed,hoboku was also getting ready taking a solid stand on the ground and having a solid grip on her sword in her right hand, she also raised her left hand muttering something in her mouth as the beetle discovered hoboko flying towards her.

While that was happening me and the 5 pups were actually sitting behind a large tree hiding ourselves i know its a bit cowardice but i wasn’t any help in this fight and was probably going to only get in the way like the little pups.

-Spear Of The End !

Roared hoboku as she pointed her palm towards the beetle materializing a dark spear made out of dark matter, it flew in sonic speed and directly collided with the soldier beetle impaling it and knocking it to its back the spear also drilled throuch its body leaving a massive gaping hole….

Alright maybe the sword was unnecessary…

Hoboku also seemed surprised and slowly moved towards the still beetle using the long sword to poke at its head a couple times to see if its dead and it was…a one shot kill…how strong is that magic ? Thats like a ridiculous boss like power she has…

Seeing that,it was already safe to come out i started walking towards the corpse of the soldier beetle disgustingly it was still twitching its leg but soon it stopped moving all together i also got the chance to observe it more and concluded its breast and back plate were really robust and tough but it still wasn’t enough to stop hoboku’s spell which just penetrated it like butter.

-Well you won’t need a sword from now on maybe a dagger but not a sword…

Hoboku smiled for a bit proud puffing her huge bosom with pride while handing me the weapon back the little pups were also really happy jumping around the corpse…for a minute i thought they were going to eat it but it seems like they don’t like bugs as much as i do.

I was looking at the beetle now more objectively,i noticed that there was no notification that showed any sign of level up by killing this beetle,hoboku was still a LvL.1 Hob-Goblin i even checked her status window and nothing had changed even thought she gains 3 times the experience then normally meaning that the experience wasn’t enough the evolution also changed the level up requirements meaning she needs much more experience then before i already suspected that from yesterday seeing hoboku eating 3 times more than a normal goblin making me suspect that a lot of things change with the evolution such as the skill which wasn’t originally there but was created after her evolution i once asked her how she was able to use such magic but she didn’t know,she only knew she could use such magic through her instincts meaning it was truly evolution that happened to her…i wonder does darwins law of evolution work here too ? I was unsure because there was such logic as magic around here which made me confused.I am more of a science kind of guy but i am also a nerd when it comes to fantasy so i can understand somewhat the theory behind magic that is…

I smiled for a second seeing the notification that suddenly popped up for the time being i dismissed the thought and looked at the beetle corpse thinking of what to do…i could always just store it inside the storage,because its no longer alive it had turned into a item and i could actually also use the different body parts and turn them into different things like the horn or breast plate the sharp claws could also be of use i reckoned.

With that thought i touched the beetle corpse and sucked it inside the .I also checked the scouting slimes to tell if there are any scavenger beetle going around searching for the warrior one but it didn’t seem like it so i was at ease but at the same time it wasn’t certain so i quickly told hoboku to move on a bit faster and after another 20 minutes we finally reached the clear river.

I asked using the link to connect to her,over the few days i had been blocking her since the beginning because she always tried to forcefully speak to me which turned out to be very annoying but now i was curious on how they were doing i was also going to exchange some information.

We were currently beside the river a bit relaxing,hoboku was standing behind me looking around vigilante,the slimes were alreayd at place making their rounds to scout the area around us and for now nothing was really happening but she insisted on doing so just to be sure so i couldn’t change her mind and just let it be.

The little pups were playing inside the river jumping around splashing.The water was washing off their dirt that was stuck on their hair slowly giving them their usual crimson shine to it which made me a bit more delighted to see while we were here i thought of filling the different containers we had full of water before we would leave i also thought about contacting blondies group to see what was going on by their side.

-Ehh sorron is that you ?!

I cringed for a bit as i could hear a very loud voice…she was using her real voice not her thoughts and because i was already connected to her senses i could hear her clearly and was caught off guard because of her sudden shout..

-Thoughts blondy remember use your thoughts !

She said a bit apologetic but at the same time not which sounded a bit weird but i didn’t try to think further of it and just asked her.

-How is your situation over there ?

-ahh were doing all right if i had to say it but yesterday janet and gary had a fight so we were not really all that talkative today…

Not surprising i knew that was going to happen regardless they didn’t have a leader they acknowledge so it was understandable that everyone did what they all wanted to do.
