Michael Estrisden (POV)

There was something weird about the delivery men. It took me several minutes of quiet observation to work out what it was. They were too focused. Upon knocking and entering. (Easily maneuvering the man-sized box through the door, impressively professional). The leader asked, “where do you want the capsule placed.” Michael had already decided on the larger of the two spare bedrooms and he said so. While leading the men to said bedroom.

Well anyway they were too focused. They never looked around at his (very nice) apartment. Ignored the view of the harbor as they passed through the lounge. Upon arriving in the room, they worked swiftly. Removing the box from its packaging. The leader typed in a passcode and hand print on the side of the capsule. After that he beckoned me forth to create my own passcode and to imprint my hand. This started up the capsule and I could now hop in and launch the character creation.

What was weird was that the men were not once distracted during their work. Even those that had nothing to do stood silently focused on the capsule. They were super observant. I could feel their eyes drilling into my back as I typed in my code and placed my hand on the scanner.

Thankfully, the weird fellows left as quickly as they came. I chalked them up to being paid well and them not wanting to mess it up. Plugging in my phone I opened the capsule.

It all looked super high tech. (and comfy) I could see the position my body was supposed to lie. Where the brain scanner thingies connected to my skull. Although I was worried about whatever process allowed my mind to go virtual in this capsule. I was far too eager to get into character creation to let that stop me. Lying down and pressing a button which automatically shut the capsules door. After it closed I repeated the line that were on the capsule information page.
