The iceberg crashed and surge of cold air passed by me. Passing through few meters and dying down, yet the cold and chill air emitted from the ice berg was constantly getting stronger.

Looking at the iceberg in front of me. I couldn’t help feeling speechless. I know this is the magic that I cast, but I couldn’t help feeling astonished.

Wait, I’m completely shocked. This shouldn’t be right. Well. I mean. This skill is the simple ‘Ice Ball’.

Ice Ball, you know! The one that created simple fist-sized Ice! Yeah, the normal spell that created Ice with a harmless size. However, how do we normally explain this enormous iceberg??!

It suddenly appears when I cast my spell, but this isn’t my spell, right?! It can’t be a normal Ice Ball spell right?! Shouldn’t it be some kind of Advanced Magic ‘Ice Meteor’ or ‘Falling Iceberg’ or something? Someone else must have cast that spell, right? Nope! No one’s here!

I guess that it must be this magic wand that I’m using. This is one of the Legendary Equipment that I got from monster in the Vortex Blood. Even though, this is a Legendary Equipment, its base stats is even weaker the normal Equipment. The only good thing about this is that it has a skill attached to it.

From the name alone, I have no idea what’s this skill is. Even shouting that skill name, nothing happened. Unlike Rush or Ice Domain, I can’t figure out what this skill is. And so, I started using it with magic trying to figure out what effect it has.

I’m quite confident of this skill effect now. Ever since, I started using magic, I noticed some changes in my magic. For instance, Ice Arrow. When I used with this wand, I noticed that some arrows are faster than normal arrow.

Maximize Entoma is a passive skill which randomly increase magic’s strength in random chance. Why do I said so? Because of this enormous Iceberg in front of me and various magic I have been using till now. There are some case like Ice Arrow flew so fast, I can only see the blur or Frozen Touch which freeze and crumble the opponent completely in an instance.

This weapon can be valuable with the skill itself, but it’s dangerous as well if one isn’t confident with one’s own magic. Since not all magic are effected by the skill, it’s too dangerous to think that this is overwhelming weapon.

I don’t really care about it since my magic itself is strong with the aid of the Pure Ancient Ice mana. However since this is the only magic wand in my ring. So I’m learning to use it along with its skill.

I have been scolded from using sword by Shifun. She said that since it is hers duty to fight as the front line, I’m fine to assist her from behind. I understand her goodwill and the fact that she’s strangely excited to fight those demon. I didn’t argue with her, and I chose this wand to use.

At first, it felt strange to me. However, since this felt like cosplaying. It didn’t matter much later on. And using magic on suicidal bunch from afar is pretty good too. My cloak almost disappear since the fight with that Gargoyle, but it was able to repair itself again since I stayed at the rear line.

And while fighting our ways into the city, I found out that several of my resistance skill almost maxed out. These demons is truly a pain in the ass. Every single one of them always used those mind magic which induced multiple negative buff on me.

I sighed inwardly of all the troublesome I come across ever since stepping to this city.

I turned to look at the assassin next to me. He has a stupid look on his face. Are you really that surprise??!!

I guess that it is understandable. This guy. Waring that half broken dragon mask. If I hadn’t confirmed his identity the moment I saved him, I wouldn’t have known that he is one of the assassin that got transferred from Athene.

Uwaa~ your stare is too intense. Dragon-kun. Please, stopped looking with that eyes. Why are your eyes sparkling like that?

I turned to look at the Iceberg since I felt that something was wrong with it. That dragon-kun was also on his guard as he looked toward the Iceberg.

*Rumble*

“Dragon-kun. It’s a sudden request of mine, but can you go and find other survivor? My friend, Pristin is somewhere in that mansion. My friend went there, but I’m afraid that she might be lost. So can you go and help her?”

“But then –”

“Go on, don’t worry. I’m more than enough”

I said to him. He hesitated for a few second, but then he agreed. The reason that I asked him to go because I didn’t want him to be caught up in this, and we have to get away fast. Since the magic seal has been destroyed. The zombies outside are coming through the mansion gate.

“Ice Wall”

I erected wall of ice to hold the gate. They started attacking the wall, but with the thickness and durability, I think it’ll last for a while.

*Burst*

Suddenly, dark flame erupted forth from the Iceberg and destroyed it completely.

“DAMN. DAMN. DAMN. IT’S HURT! IT’S HURT! IT’S HURT!”

Suddenly, I heard creepy and coarse voice from inside the dark flame.

Uwaa~ as expected of the named full-fledged demon. That wasn’t enough to take it down.

“YOU!!!!”

That demon screamed out loud while looking at me within that dark flame. She really looked creepy and she is getting on my nerve. Wait, isn’t this the effect of those demon? Is this one trying to me mad or is its special effect?

“I KILL YOU!! I’LL KILL YOU!!”

That demons roared angrily and the dark flame stopped erupting. She absorbed those flame back into her, and it healed her to perfect condition.

*Huff* *Huff*

She panted heavily and then she glared at me. With the dark wing fluttered behind her. She looked more like fallen Angel rather than Demon, and there is no trademark tail of the demon as well.

*Poof*

Oh she’s coming this way. She’s pretty fast despite having slow negative status on her. I dodged to the left to avoid her claw and jumped far away. With a quick turn, she gave chase. I dodged her again and again.

I got to say, this girl is pretty good in close combat. I can’t shake her off at all.

“ArhhH!!!”

With a loud cry, she swung her kick hard. Like a sharp knife, her kicked slice up the tree behind me. Just thinking that I was going to block and counter, I felt relieved that I dodged it instead. After I dodged her, I made distance from her.

*Huff* *Huff*

“Aren’t you a mage?”

“Hahaha. What’s wrong, Demon-chan?? Out of breath, already?!”

“Just what are you?!! And what’s with those moves?”

“Hahaha. I’m pretty good with dodging. Well, I’m pretty good in other thing as well. Should I show you?”

I said while waving my wands. Oh, she’s pissed off.

*crackle* *crackle* *crackle*

I heard something weird coming from her body. When I looked closely at her body, I can see something pulsing under her skin. Sensing something was off, I jumped away further away from her.

*Boom*

What’s the hell? The ground where I was standing was gouged out the instant I jumped back. What’s happen? I can’t see what’s going on at all!

*Pierce*

Before I even got back down the ground properly, my shoulder was pierced. It threw me off momentum, but I managed to stand up.

“Didn’t you say that you’re good with dodging? Or didn’t you see it coming?”

Saying so, that demon grinned while her eyes is shining red. It ticks me off so bad I want to kick her ass. Oh wait, this is effect of the mind magic. Calm down and relax.

*Phew*

See? It’s simple. Just calm down and relax.

“Tch! It’s not working. You’ve got pretty strong soul. Since my magic won’t work. I’ll cut you down and take your soul myself”

That demon roared and charged in faster speed. I raised an ice wall to block it.

“IDIOT!”

That demon snorted out loud and punched through the wall as if it was paper. I dived down and stepped forward dodging the sharp claw.

‘Ice Lance’

Sharp pointy lance was materializing below that demon abdomen. And it quickly burst forward piercing that demon. Before it went through her, she caught it with her claw.

Coughing out blood, she swung her hand down again toward me. I frowned seeing this. Every single one of them, I can’t stand these suicidal bunch.

“Ice Pillar”

Before she could hit me, ice pillar burst from the ground blowing her high to the sky. Staggered in midair for a bit, she regained control of herself and flapped her wings.

*Buchiii~*

Suddenly, blood spilled from my cheek. It was a small wound, but that demon had really cut my cheek. I underestimated this demon. I’m confident that I dodged the claw, but it was the force behind the claw that scratch my face.

So it’s a draw, huh?

That demon’s wound has closed up already. And she was looking at me with a creepy smile.

I wiped the blood from my cheeks, and then my wound on my cheek and shoulder closed up as well.

“What are you?! You’re not demon. You’re human. How can your wound closed up like that? You’re not using any magic as well! Tell me. How did you do that?”

Oi! Oi! Oi! What’s with that attitude? Why are you acting arrogant like that? Are you stupid? Don’t you even know the basic of battle? There’s time when you can’t cast healing magic in the battle you know! If course, you have to make do by casting skill which had slow and continuous effect like ‘Rejuvenate’.

“Hee~ Now, you’re interesting in me? Didn’t you say that you want to kill me? What’s wrong? Knowing that you can’t kill me, are you trying to be friend instead?”

“Impudent human, know your place!! Answer my question and I’ll give you a painless death.”

“That’s harsh. Demon-chan. Did you really think that you can kill me? Come on, I’ll show the different between us.”

“Hahaha~ you seem more interesting than other Human. Let’s see how you will entertain me.”

“hahaha~ it’s my plan as well. Just, don’t go dying on me, Demon-chan.”

That demon hissed angrily and then she dived to attack me. I dodged her charged to the side, and then she flew back to the sky. With quick air maneuver, she somehow appeared toward my back.

‘Ice Pillar’

Ice Pillar burst high to the sky behind me, but it didn’t hit her. It hit her mirage only. I sensed something wrong, I leapt to the side immediately as she appeared in front of me.

*Burst*

The ice pillar shattered and burst when that demon swung her claw on it. However, that wasn’t all. There’s something like dark flame shrouding her hand as well.

She flapped her wings and flew up high again. With a flash, she charged toward me again. This time, I didn’t wait and charged toward her as well. She grinned happily and raised her speed. Charging toward her, I estimated the point that we come into contact.

‘Ice Pillar’

This time, it wasn’t meant to knock her out of balance. It was for myself. The ice pillar raised a bit in front of me, and then I jumped on it.

*Crash*

I somersaulted backward before that demon destroyed the pillar by ramming into it. And while I was above it in midair, I created another Ice Lance.

*Clank*

As if it was luck, that magic was affected by ‘Maximize Entoma’. It appeared, piercing her and sticking her to the ground instantly. It was so fast that the wind was howling. I landed on her back while she was screaming.

I grabbed both of her wings and ripped them apart.

“ARRHHHHH!!!”

She screamed loud in agony, and then dark flame started to erupt from her body. I jumped away quick before I was roasted in that flame. The Ice Lance held for a bit, but it got melt by that flame.

That demon got back slowly, and then she glared intensely with her red eyes. The dark flame stopped erupting, and that demon disappeared. She appeared in front of me instantly and swung her claw hard. I blocked it with the wand I had, but I was blown away hard. Her blow was really strong, and then she kept chasing me.

These demon are a bit special. I found out that once they died, they will get back up in few seconds, and every wound will be repaired. However, if they didn’t die. They would need to use their energy to heal those wound. And as damage accumulated on their body more and more, their movement will become sluggish without energy.

I thought I could exhausted her energy by letting her regenerate her own wing, but it seemed that she didn’t even care about that. She charged toward me on the ground and kept swinging her claw. However, something is strange. Even though, her attack is faster and stronger. It got easy to read and I can dodged them without any problem. It was like as if she has gone mad.

‘Ice ball’

I created 20 ice balls in a size of football, and directed them to her. She didn’t dodge them at all, and run into them herself.

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang*…

Those ice balls clashed her hard and caused her to stagger for a few second, and then she stood still gasping for breath.

And then I noticed that her eyes stopped glowing bright red in color. What’s was that? Did she just go berserk or something? Oh, right now, her wings in regenerating.

‘Master, Master!’

Hmm? Oh! It’s Kori! What’s wrong? Suddenly, calling me like that. I was startled.

‘We found her. Pristin. OK!’

That’s a relieved. Kori, what’s about the other?

‘Everyone. Saved. Missing hand and feet. But Ok.’

Heh? It’s not ok at all!! What do you mean missing hand and feet? Isn’t that bad? That’s pretty serious!!

‘Worry not! Baka heal everyone!’

Back to the topic, now that everyone is getting ready. Let’s wrap this up as well.

“Hey. Demon-chan. Say, what’re you doing in Venolia?”

“Hah? You’re not fitted to ask me question. You low life scum.”

“Hahahaha~ What’s wrong? Are you running out of mana? Fine. I’ll tell you. I doubt your puny brain can understand it, I’ll tell you anyway. It’s the harvest year! And this territory has been marked as one of the harvest site. And tonight, we’re going all out harvesting!”

“Harvest? What are you guy harvesting?”

“Hah? What’s kind of stupid question is that? Of course, it’s the fresh soul. Everyone single human in this territory has already been harvested. So of course, you’re no exception. And all those people who are trying to escape will die as well. And then all of the soul will be presented to our Lord.”

“Lord? Who’s that?”

“Impudent human. His name isn’t something for the like of you to know. Enough! Give up and hand over your soul.”

“Yeah. It’s enough.”

When I said that. That demon must have mistaken that I was giving up since she was smiling ear to ear.

“You seemed like you’re not going to tell me anything anymore. So time to get serious.”

I took a deep breath and braced myself. Suddenly, that demon’s face turn ugly.

“This essence! ICE SAINT!!!”

Hoo~ I just activated ‘Pure Ice Mana Manipulation’ again, and she has already sensed already. Since I have been deactivated them for this whole time, she didn’t even notice even if my hair is full of white.

Without waiting, she charged toward me again.

‘Ice Pillar’

Dark blue pillar burst forth from the ground, and she swung her claw.

*Clang*

The Pillar didn’t even budge. Sensing something was wrong, this demon bit her mouth and tried to fly away. Hahaha~ Did you think I let you go?

“Ice Chromosphere”

*Ring*

Strange sound come from the magic formation below my feet. And then a thick ice dome covered both of us within. That demon flapped her wings faster and faster while shrouding in dark flame. She rammed the ice I made, but it wouldn’t budge at all.

“What!”

The dark flame died out immediately as she was in contact with the ice dome. And then she flew away from the dome immediately.

Uwaa~ I didn’t expect that Ice Chromosphere could have such an effect upon affected by ‘Maximize Entoma’. Well, it’s all the better. Right now, she couldn’t escape if she wanted to.

Turning toward me, she hissed angrily. Shrouding herself in dark flame again, she charged toward me. It seems like she want to finish this as soon as possible as well. However, the fact that she is still flying can be a bit of a problem.

Yosh! Let’s bring her down.

“Snow Field”

The cloaks I’m wearing fluttered for a bit, and then the golden line forming snowflake started to glow brightly. I didn’t move at all, and that demon came close to me.

*Boom*

Snow below my feet exploded forth envelop everything around me. Surge and surge of snow came pouring out in wave. The dark flame dispersed the moment, she came in contact with the snow. She got washed away by the wave of the snow which is starting to fill the ‘Ice Chromosphere’. When the snow reached my waist

‘Ice domain’

My rings flashed and then I can control ice essence and snow around my area as well.

‘Ice spike’

Rows and rows of ice spike protruded from the ground and pierced that demon.

‘Ice Arrow’

Hundred or so arrow appeared hovering on the sky, and then they descend in great speed.

“Arhhhh!!!!”

She screamed miserably. And then surged of intense dark flame burst forth from inside of her.

“RRRAAAARRHHHH!!!”

She shouted out loud, and then more and more surge of dark flame brought out of her body.

*Crack* *Crack*

Suddenly, her body started to crack as if a container that was going to explode.

“DAMABLE ICE SAINT!! EVEN IF TODAY I DE!!! I’M BRINGING YOU WITH ME!!!”

The great amount of fire started to clumped and molded together. She is compressing it above her head. From the heat and energy from that alone, I knew that my Ice Chromosphere wouldn’t take it. The heck! Even this mansion will be blown to smithereens.

Well, that’s the case if it really did explode.

Seeing that I was doing nothing, but standing and watching her channeling her energy, she frowned. There’s also hint of fear and hesitation in her eyes as well.

“DIE!!!”

She began to hurl that massive fire ball toward me. I raised my hand and –

‘Absolute Zero’

With a flick of my fingers, everything in the Ice chromosphere froze. Even that massive lump of fire also freeze and become a large ice ball instead. That demon also become an ice statue as well.

Even if the lump of the dark flame has frozen, the rampaging energy inside didn’t die down yet. So I’ll let it calm down inside the ice ball using time. Since I have forced her to draw out all of her flame, she wouldn’t be able to break from the Absolute Zero, not with the one affected by Pure Ancient Mana and Maximize Entoma.

In another word, this is as good as over. As she couldn’t die, she wouldn’t revive as well. There are two ways to deal with these demon which either to completely destroy it or seal it away.

I turned around and removed the Ice Chromosphere. I started walking toward the mansion.

“Pathetic. How pathetic. To be pushed to this state by a mere human. Pathetic.”

When I was walking away, suddenly I heard a voice behind me. I turned around and made distance immediately.

When I searched around for that source, I found another demon was standing on top of the ice ball. When I looked at it, my heart shuddered and I felt my hair standing up high. With just a glance, I can feel my body is telling me to run away in this instance.

This is bad. All I can tell is that this demon is strong, and it will take my all to take it. The stronger the demon, the less time it take to revive. Even if I can kill it, I can’t win it in endurance. If this fight happen, it’s bound to be my lost.

I can’t win, we have to run away.

KORI! Hurry up and run away!!

‘Master?’

“HURRY UP AND RUN AWAY!!!”

I bit my mouth and screamed out loud.

Turning, that demon glanced toward me with its glowing red eyes. And then my mind blanked out. I can’t move my eyes from it and I can’t move body as well. It was as if I’m being locked within the glare of the predator.

“Run?”

That demon turned and stomped of the Ice ball.

*Crack*

The Ice ball started to crack immediately. And the energy inside is rampaging in chaos. SHIT! If that exploded now, there won’t be anything left.

‘Ice Chromosphere’

*Boom*

Wave of energy came clashing hard on the Chromosphere. I can feel the pressure of those wave, and layer of layer of the Chromosphere is breaking apart.

“ICE TRINKET! ICE DOMAIN”

I released wave and wave of Ice Trinkets out. And then I’ll control it to mend the Chromosphere.

*Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack*

SHIT! This won’t hold it. The repair rate is much slower and the chromosphere is too big!

THINK! I’ve got it!

‘Ice Trinket’

I released as many Ice trinket as possible, and gathered them around me.

Wall about 4 meters in height and 4 meters in length came in front of me.

The blast almost shatter the Ice wall in one go, but I mend them with Ice trinket in time. Concentrate! I can do this! Just little more!!!

I can feel mana is being drained rapidly and force of that blast clearly as well.

It’s over. The blast ended after the ice wall in front of me cracked. It really held on. It was unbelievable. I turned my face to see the ice wall, and I was amazed. The color changed and structure look like turtle shell.

The new demon sighed in astonishment, but that demon girl just died and revived back. This is even worst. If they joined in together, I won’t stand a chance.

“Prepare to die!! ICE SAINT!! Gua?”

That demon girl charged, but then a dark spear stabbed her from above. What’s the hell?

“Master Rudi??”

“Someone like you don’t have the right to call me master. I’m ashamed having chosen low life demon like you. It’s enough. Your duty is over now.”

“NO!!!!”

That demon girl screamed out loud and struggled to get up. The demon that was flying in the sky raised his hand toward her.

“Damn!! Bastard!! I’ll kill you!!!”

That demon girl pulled herself out and flew to fight with that demon. I don’t know what the hell is going on, but this is my chance.

RUN!

I turned around and run.

“Raaahhh!!!”

“You dare to fight me? Low life demon, know your place!”

*Pierce* *Rip*

With one move, that demon girl fell from the sky. That’s fast! That demon is too strong!! It pierced her chest and pulled something like a white orb out. And then it hovering around it.

That demon girl, is she dead? No! I didn’t receive any Experience yet. That demon girl should be alive for now.

“As for you. Die”

DAMN! It’s my turn now?? Don’t think I would go down without a fight!!

A swing so fast, I couldn’t see it at all. And then before I noticed it, I was blown all the way into the mansion. I coughed out blood, and the pain of broken rip and pressed chest came later.

I turned my head to see, and then I saw black serpent hovering in the sky near that demon. And it widen its mouth charging toward me. This is bad! I need to move –

I can’t move!! It’s the same glare! That serpent had locked me in place!! Before I could do anything, that serpent has come close to me already.

*Booom*

The mansion collapsed from the impact. That snake bit onto me, and rammed me through the mansion itself. I was blast and rolled on the ground multiple time before I stopped.

“White-sama!!!”

I heard everyone’s voice, but I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t move my body at all. My hand and feet had been bent in strange way. My breathing is bad and I can’t concentrate as well.

‘Goddess Grace’

Light energy is being poured on me, and I can feel my body s restoring.

I screamed agony in pain as my bone and flesh being repaired.

“White-sama!!!”

“RUN!!!”

I shouted out loud to them.

Hundred or so arrows appeared and shot that demon like machine gun. I got back up on the ground and run toward them.

That demon snorted and destroyed my magic with ease.

That demon spread its arm, and then multiple dark serpent shot out toward all of us.

That dark serpent went through me, and then I lost consciousness.

I heard my sisters’ voice. Amane-chan.

“Shu-nii. Wake up”

Amano-chan. Why are they here? What are they doing here? Why am I hearing them?

I opened my eyes, and then I saw both of them looking at me while crying. Where am I?

“Onii-chan. You wake up!! Thank god!”

“Baka Shu-nii. I was worried! I thought that something happened to you.”

I looked around and I understood that I’m in their room. On the floor, there is some strange formation. This thing – I remembered that I got summoned through this.

Wait – did I come back? Or perhaps all of those were just a dream?

“Onii-chan. Are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere?”

Amane-chan cried on my chest. Amano-chan looked like she is going cry as well.

Amane-chan? She turned her eyes to me, and I can see that her eyes is red. Amano-chan’s eyes has turned red as well. Both of them held knives in their hand and stabbed toward me.

While they were stabbing me again and again. White flashed over and everything disappeared.

I was scared. To be honest, I was scared out of my wit.

While we were running for our lives toward the back entrance, the mansion suddenly exploded. And then a shadow flew toward the back garden rolling many times before stopping.

That shadow was White-sama. I can’t bear to look at his body. Just how strong is that monster to force him to this state. And then I started to be afraid. If white-sama couldn’t take that monster. How are we supposed to fight?

Are we going to die?

Shifun-san was the first to shout his name. Everyone was worried about him.

“RUN!!”

Paricel-sama pushed something toward me. It was a pendent and something is glowing inside it.

It feel warm inside the light, and I noticed that my injury has been healed. That’s right!! Paricel-sama!

I looked toward him, and I found out that he was bathed in that light. His injury has been healed as well. And he is slowly waking up.

“Pristin? You bind it? Good girl”

Thank god. He’s ok. Thank god. He’s really ok. I looked around, and everyone was the same.

“I thought I die for sure!”

“What’s was that??”

“Was that Illusion? It seems so real.”

“Oh, I can move my hand now!”

They are waking up and their injury has been healed.

That demon bellowed in anger. I thought I would shudder upon hearing it, but it doesn’t feel like before. I’m fine staring in its eyes.

I heard that voice again. Who is it? Is it Pendent-san? Thank you!!

“Damn Human. To bind that artifact at the time like this. I’ll kill all of you!! Take it!! Million Devouring serpent Pit!!”

Giant Magic formation spread across the sky, and then millions of dark and wiggling snake started falling down toward us.

“EVERYON!! HURRY AND GATHER AROUND!!!”

I screamed to wake up everyone. I got ahold of Paricel-sama, and then everyone started running toward me. OK! At this rate, we’ll make it in time! I was going to chant the spell, but then I noticed something strange.

“White-sama!! Hurry up!!”

White-sama didn’t move at all. He just stood up and looked toward the monster. He didn’t move at all. What’s he doing?? Isn’t he seeing this?? Why isn’t he running? The snake is coming down fast toward us, but why isn’t he running??!

“White-san!!”

Shifun-san run forth toward him. Will she make it? No, she won’t make it!

‘Pristin!! I’m going to cast that spell’

A barrier similar to a bell was created immediately covering all of us. And then those snakes fell down on the ground devouring everything.

Shifun-san shouted with all her might and punched the bell. Why is she alone? Didn’t she went to get White-sama? And then I understood, Shifun-san was knocked back by the bell before she could reach White-sama.

Then that mean –

“HAHAHAAHHAH!!!! Foolish human. I’ll see how long that barrier of your last. My devouring snake devour everything in sight. No matter what it is, my snake will devour all. Your barrier is no exception as well. And soon, you’re all become the same like your friend. Even bone won’t be left!!”

White-sama was eaten. He wasn’t able to get inside the barrier in time, and he was eaten. That’s not true. Lied!!

Hearing that, Shifun-san fell thud to the ground. White-sama is dead. That came as a shock to everyone.

Suddenly, Sampa shouted. We look toward that direction, and we saw dark snake. When I saw it, I opened my eyes wide and I almost cry. That’s right. White-sama isn’t someone to die like that. He’s always win no matter what!

When we heard that, all the snake stopped and shattered into particles. White-sama stood there without any scratch. He was holding his magic sword. I don’t know what it’s called, but it’s beautiful to look at.

That demon summoned multiple serpent toward me. I crouched on the light shield I created, and I jumped toward him again.

Before the serpent is formed properly, half of his head was cut clean. Standing behind him, I swung my sword upward slicing him in half.

I walked away from him and counted the time. 15 seconds later, he got up again. He then dashed toward me without hesitation. I stored my King Glacier and took two similar swords.

I coated them with my battle qi, and dodged the coming claw.

“Dual Style : Ashura Wrath”

My hands started moving so fast, blur could be seen. And then half of the demon’s body was grinded into dust. I finished the skill by slicing that demon head into paper thin part.

He’s dead. And then he died again. He got up and he died again. Since 15 second is a bit long to wait, I stopped killing him instantly and kept slicing him part to part and let him regenerated it again and again.

“STOP!!!”

I pierced his head and heart screwing them into nothing.

“Don’t come!! Monster!! Don’t come!!!”

He tried to run, I threw one of my sword, and his head was blown away. This is getting boring. This guy is starting to get afraid of me already. It’s so pathetic I don’t want to continue.

“ARRHHHH!!!”

Screaming like a mad man, that demon flew to the sky. It’s about to finish this.

“Yuichi”

I said softly, and then Yuichi burst forth from the ground.

*Crunch!*

Most of demon’s body was bitten off. A half of his head flew off and the single eye ball is looking around. However, I didn’t let it escape my watch.

I threw another sword vaporizing everything.

When I read this, suddenly two orb floated around me. One was black and another was white. I don’t know what they can do, so I’ll store them inside the ring first.

When I was going to walk back, I noticed something. I walked toward it and then I found the body of the demon girl. There are crack throughout her body, and there are blood everywhere.

She isn’t dead yet, but she is dying. Strangely, her body doesn’t regenerate at all. Since I can’t bear this, I took a random sword in my rings and raised it high.

Die! Demon! I swung the sword down.

“Sorry… I … couldn’t … avenge … everyone… Sorry”

Before the sword reached her head, I heard her murmured something. I stopped because I noticed that she was crying, and blood flew out instead of tear. Why? What’s so bitter that blood flow out instead of tear?

I couldn’t finish her. I withdraw my sword and took a deep breath. Looking at her, I couldn’t help thinking of that night. It is just a bitter memory that I have and supposed to be forgotten. And so, I let her live. Looking at her, my anger has also calmed down.

I got down close to her and whispered to her. Whether she want to live or die will depend on herself. I have no grudge against her, so there’s no reason to kill her. And my own guilt is forcing me to save her as well. Got caught in between this, I let her decide by herself. I’ll comply with any choice.

Saying so with coarse voice and tear. I nodded on her answer. And then I placed my hand on her head.

Reciting the magic chant and imagined the magic formation in my mind, I channel mana to my hand.

Well, keeping her alive might have its own merit.
