Changing Perspective --- Aja (Assassin Dragon Mask)

It’s hurt. The last thing I remembered is the fight with that monster with my siblings. Skilled in swordsmanship and magic, it was as if a monster out of fairy tale. He used only one skill to take out one of us one by one.

I want to kill him. For my sibling, I want to kill him. I know I don’t have what it take, but I want to kill him. At least, I want to give him a scratch. Just a scratch will be enough. TAKE IT! YOU BASTARD!

I threw the knife, and I heard clang sound. It was blocked, huh? As expected of monster, nothing worked on that. I looked up to him to show that I’m not giving up.

However, I was shocked. Where am I? Where is him? Who are these people? Why am I here? Gosa? Sampa? Where is everyone?

I looked around and I found out that I was in some kind of garden. Those people were watching me with fear, and several guards has already taken their stance against me. There’s noble looking guy who stared at me without looking away.

One of the guard raised his sword trying to cut me, but then that noble looking man cast his magic spell. My whole body suddenly felt cold, and I was completely frozen before I knew it. I closed my eyes afterward and fell to a deep sleep.

I don’t remember what happen afterward at all.

After what seemed to be a long sleep, I woke up. The first thing I noticed is that, I’m in a room that I’m not familiar. And more importantly, my injuries have been healed. Who did this? Why?

“Ara, you have awaken.”

As I was about to get up, I heard a girl’s voice at the door. For some reason, when I heard that voice, my body stopped moving. As if my body is under heavy pressure, it wouldn’t budge at all.

“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

She said while walking closer, and for reason my heart is pounding harder and harder as well. Her presence is so overwhelming it got harder to breathe.

“I’m Tilan. Can you tell me your name?”

I finally see her up close, and I feel even unbearable aura from her which is different from the appearance she gives. I know that I’m breaking cold sweat from looking at her, and I couldn’t speak at all.

“Couldn’t speak? Don’t worry. You’ll be able to speak soon.”

My crisis instinct kicked in telling me that she is dangerous and I need to move. However, despite my effort, I couldn’t move which only to add to her laugh.

She started caressing my face and licked her won finger.

“Interesting. Really interesting. I wondered what your soul will taste like. I do want to savor this taste to myself, but there’s many thing that we don’t know about you and that light. So I’ll have you answer several question.”

Saying so, the girl’s eyes turned red, and her nail grew long. She is glaring at me as if she was going to eat me. I started to panic because the overwhelming pressure and her glaring red eyes. I screamed out loud and raised my fist trying to hit her, but then she dodged it easily and pierced my shoulder down with her nail hard.

The impact broke the wooden bed splatting splinter everywhere.

“That’s not good, you know. Don’t be rash. You don’t need to do anything. Just leave – it – to – me.”

Saying so, she pulled out her nail which pierced my shoulder. And then she pointed her slender and pointy fingernail at my throat. And then, her hand blurred for a bit, and I felt hot in my throat, and then something like red mist is gusting out of my throat.

What? What’s going with me? Blood?

That girl sucked that red mist, and she choked on it. And then she revealed a face as if she just sip on something really delicious while breathing heavily.

“Uuuuu~ It’s been awhile since I taste essence like this. To think that you have fire affinity. You must have come from the outside world. I see, I see. That light and the magic diagram is a portal magic.”

She said while sucking that red mist. I felt heavier and heavier as time pass, and I knew now that she was sucking my life energy. After a while, she licked my throat, and the red mist stopped leaking out.

“Uuuuu~ it’s too yummy. I don’t want to part. However, anymore you’ll die. So I’ll refrain myself this time.”

She said while smiling evilly.

“So, let’s see. Hmm.”

She said while retracting her aura.

“So, why are you here? Why did you come here? You’re not a hero. You’re too weak to be one.”

Weak. That word resounded in my mind.

“Are you perhaps his companion? So tell me who this hero is. And where is him?”

Hero? What’s she talking about?

“I don’t know anything about that.”

“Don’t play dump. If you’re not hero companion, why are you here? And how did you get here in the first place? I saw clearly that you get here through that portal.”

“Portal? I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Hoo~. Let’s see how long can you keep that mouth shut.”

She said, and then she pointed her claw at me. My hair stood up when I saw that pose because I knew what she’s capable of. However, compare to that monster –

“Scared? Are you scared? Scream all you want. Let’s me hear you scream!”

– You’re nothing.

‘Back Stab’

Grabbing a wood splinter in my hand, I disappeared before she struck her nail down on me, and I appeared behind her piercing her throat with the splitter in my hand. Before she could scream, I grabbed her head and twisted it hard.

*Poof*

She fell on the ground motionless. I collapsed on the ground breathing hard. I suddenly felt pinching pain in my head. I used too much mana on top of that girl who sucked most of it from me. I also felt my body heavy as well.

Looking around, I found that most of my item is in the room. I took everything, and healed myself with two potions. Damn, those potions were really expensive. However, I can’t be careless in this situation. If there’s many people like her in this place, then I should get prepared for the worst.

I need to get out of this place, and then find my siblings. If I am alive from that blast of that monster, everyone should be the same. Grabbing on the door knot, I sharpened my sense to feel if there’s anyone outside of the room.

However, suddenly I felt crushing pressure from behind. It was from that girl, but I already killed. So how?

“GoIng SomEwHere? Hihihihi~”

I felt chill running through my spine as I heard that coarse voice. The voice wasn’t as she was choking on her blood. I glanced back, and then I saw that girl standing up twisting her own head back.

She reached for the splinter behind her back and pulled it out instantly spitting the blood on the wall behind her. However, she was still fine smiling at me. The hole in her neck closed up instantly, and all the injury was gone as if she was never hurt in the first place.

“Demon~”

I blurted that out as I knew what she is. There was a time which we used to hunt a demon. Even if it was a lesser demon gargoyle, it took everything we got to kill it. Their regenerative ability is so fearsome that they wouldn’t die as long as we didn’t completely destroy it.

Looking at this girl, she isn’t just any lesser demon. She might even be a full-fledged demon.

“Hoo~ you’re right. Impressive. I never thought that you can guess that correct and to injured me to this state.”

Cursed you, demon. Injured? Normal person should have dead from that! This is bad, I need to get away from this.

“Now that your struggling and hope has been destroyed. Let’s end this. I have you tell me where the hero is!”

With that, she leapt toward me. It was fast, and she has already appeared in front of me. Taking out a dagger and a short sword, I rushed forward toward her as well. She was surprise that her pressure didn’t work on me, but then she reacted and swung her claw.

I dodged that in time and it scratched my face a little. By the time, she came really close to the door. I used ‘Back Stab’ to appear behind her. She lost her momentum and crashed the door opened. The door collapsed on the ground, and she lied on it.

“Ahh~”

She screamed as I pierced my short sword into her throat again. And then I bent the short sword hard to stick her to the door. I kicked her head hard twisting it again. And then I started running away.

‘One, Two, Three, Four…’

I started counting the time, and then I stopped as I heard a piercing scream from behind.

“30 seconds till recovery. Damn, that demon is too scary. Even the gargoyle took at least 1 minutes to recover from that.”

It was the special characteristic of the demon. They can recover from any injury no matter how big or how small. However, there’s always time lag in that. If a demon received a heavy injury, there’s always a length of time in which it need to recover itself. However, that length of time is really short. The stronger the demon, the shorter it is.

“DAMN YOU!! TELL ME WHERE THE HERO IS!!”

I heard her scream, and I knew that she is pissed off. I picked up my speed and I didn’t care about anything anymore. I just kept running away from her.

I run into guards several times, but they were all killed by that demon and have their soul absorbed. And then they stood back up like a zombie.

DAMN! This is getting worse!! I didn’t know that she can summon minion that way. Sooner or later, I’ll get surrounded and had my soul absorbed! I attacked her once again, and then I hid myself in the span of 30 second.

When she woke up again, she roared angrily and searched for me. I stabilized my breath and kill my presence to hide myself perfectly. However, I must admitted that I look like hell. That girl blood spilled all over me, and I was lucky in a way that she wasn’t sensitive in sense of smell.

While hiding, I tried getting out of the mansion, but there’s a magic seal all over the mansion. I can’t escape at all. DAMN! I walked around in secret and I remembered the structure of the mansion clearly in my head. All of those minions are looking for me lifelessly. And I can’t harm them either. They are connected with the demon sharing the same regenerative ability. And if I killed them, the demon will know my whereabouts immediately. So I avoided them silently.

While searching through the place, I come across the warehouse of the mansion. There’s many gold and many items in it that I couldn’t take my eyes off. DAMN! If I wasn’t stuck here. I would have taken all of this and escaped!

Walking out, suddenly a box fell down. I turned around, and I saw a strange, but beautiful pendent in it. It was in a shape of heart, and strange light is glowing in it. I was so captivated and I extended my hand to it.

*Door Open*

I grabbed that pendent and put it in my pocket while hiding immediately when I heard the door opened. That demon girl is coming here. DAMN. Is she going to find me??!

She came closer and closer to me. And I was ready to pound to her and killed her in one slash. However, in 30 seconds. I wouldn’t know that I can get out of here and shut the door. I grabbed the knife, and my heart is beating like crazy.

“Orlando! Where are you?! Everyone!!”

Suddenly, both of us heard someone shouting outside. That demon reacted and hissed angrily. It changed its form to the normal girl again and ran out of the room.

Only then that I breathed in relieved. I didn’t wait long, and I took several healing potions with me. Gold and the other like aren’t worth much at the moment. Strangely, the pendent that I picked up at the first time couldn’t be stored in my ring no matter what. So I kept it in my pocket and kept running.

Running away from those minions this time, I hid myself in the room which appeared to be storage room. After that I grasped for my breath for a while, 2 people came into the room as well. DAMN! That scare the hell out of me!

“Tilan. What’s going on!! Start explaining!!”

It seems that the 2 that got in were that demon in disguise and the noble man from before. What’s going on? Why that demon didn’t kill him? What’s her motive?

Hiding behind a barrel, I glanced at them and the exit. I know that I can’t afford to stay any longer since that demon might notice my presence sooner or later. And DAMN that demon! She brought all her minion to block the exit. I don’t know why she brought noble man over without killing him. Does that demon plan to eat him here? Is he special or something? Why didn’t she kill him on the spot and kept her act like that?

“It’s all your fault!! It’s because you let that man alive. That’s why this happened!!! I told you that you should kill him when you have the chance. Why you didn’t listen to me??!! I saw he turned everyone in front of me. I was really scared and I kept hiding. It’s all because of your fault!!! You let that demon live!!”

YOU ARE THE DEMON! Damn, this bitch! What’s the point of going like that? To frame me without batting an eye. This demon is getting on my nerve.

Listening to this demon, I’m getting more and more pissed off. What’s with feeling? I want to kill her. It’s as if my rage is building up strangely.

Wait, this feeling? Darn it, to think that I would fall within this easily. I need to escape as fast as possible and stay away from this demon as fast as possible.

‘Rage Tempting Field’

The special ability of the demon which affect the mind of anyone to lose their temper. The effect is also increase strongly as one stay the closest to the demon and the longest as well.

DAMN! I should have gone far away from her. Before I knew it, my hand is gripping the knife hard and I almost pound toward her. I bit my lips and wake myself up from the rage.

DAMN! This is getting hard to control myself. I need to kill – NO! I need to think something else. I need – I need – I need~

KILL

After a while, I lost my mind and then my body moved on its own.

Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill.

“FOUND YOU~”

I got out and locked on that girl. I use ‘Back Stab’ immediately and swung my knife hard. It pierced her throat, and she fell down with a poof.

Only then, I started to calm down. Holy Shit! 30 Second count down. I need to get away.

“DAMN YOU!!!”

Suddenly, that noble man shouted in angry and charged his magic energy. This is bad.

“Ice Fragment!!!”

Ice magic flew and blast me away. I blocked but it didn’t work at all.

“Ice Fragment!!!”

He fired off again. My hand is getting numb and frostbite from the previous blast. I can’t move. This is bad, if I take this attack again. I might die!

‘Back Stab’

I appeared behind him, but then he turn to grab me down. He started punching on me as if he lost his mana. I endured and blocked all his punch.

After awhile, he pulled away summoning an ice sword. He pointed at me and asked me question. However, I didn’t quite hear what he said. I was dizzy from losing too much blood, and the frostbite effect is starting to affect me as well.

This is bad, I’m losing my strength. That noble is shouting something. I can’t hear it. This idiot. Did he get emotional after I killed that demon or something? DAMN!

I can’t stand him at all. Since he saved me before, I’ll open his eye this time. I shouted with my last bit of strength telling him the truth. However, it was too late. 30 seconds passed and that demon has already gotten up as well. She is even smiling at me. DAMN THIS BITCH.

I feel my vitality is fading. Am I going to die? That noble man is even worst. Properly, he must have been broken since he was played badly by that demon. Wondered if she is his lover or something? That guy almost killed me when I killed her.

Damn, in the end, I can’t find my sibling. I thought I have a second chance, but damn it all.

Arh~ the door has even opened. Her minions will flood in and my body will properly eaten. DAMN. This is the worst death possible. I just couldn’t let go since when I see that demon laughing face. I really want to hit her head hard.

*Clang*

It’s burry, but I saw someone really hit that demon in the head. That figure, a girl? Suddenly, few more figures came and blast that demon away.

Suddenly, someone came into my view. A girl as well. She seemed to be calling something to me. I can’t hear it at all. And then, I felt healing magic is being soaked on my body.

My vision got less blurry and I can see clear again. And then I was shocked.

Looking at the other side, the demon has her head twisted, bended and slammed into the heavy stuff. Haha, serve you right.

“Dragon! Dragon! Can you hear me??!”

Kara? Gosa? Shampa? Why are my sibling here? Did my wish come true?

To have that demon killed, and to meet my sibling for the last time.

“God~”

I blurted that out without thinking.

*Slap*

Suddenly, I was slapped. Heh? It’s hurt. Which mean, this is real!

“This is bad! Rabbit, find something bigger and firmer – Mee. Dragon has fallen into trance. This is properly, ‘Confusion Tempting Field’ or ‘Illusion Tempting Field’. We can wake him up as long as we beat him hard enough”

“Step away – Pyon! I’ll pound his head as hard as I can. That wakes him up for good.”

“Stop it, meathead! Before waking him up, your blow sent him off to hell instead. Let’s me do it instead. Just a light kick at his D*. He’ll wake up for good.”

Before, she even finished, she pulled the sword from somewhere and stabbed the lower part of my body. I reacted and pulled myself as that sword stabbed to the floor only.

“DAMN YOU. Idiot Viper!! Did you do that on intention??!! And how’s that a kick??!! You were trying to cut off my amazing bloodline, didn’t you?”

“Amazing bloodline? Rabbit, Goat. This guy is still in the magic effect? Should we hit harder?”

“Roger.”

“Ok. We’re ready at any time.”

Suddenly of them pinched my down. Sampa raised the sword high with a smile.

“You’re the one with the trance! What’re you doing?!! And you two let me go!!”

“Dragon. Good luck!”

“Bear it. This is for the sake of gaining new sister in the group. Don’t you tell think that having only 3 is a bit lonely?”

“Like hell it happened!!! I won’t become sister! I’ll become something unknown!”

“That’s great! Unknown is mysterious! I love Mysterious!!”

Laughing so, the one who raised the sword. However, she swung down the sword, fist-size ice ball hit them in the head.

*Poof*

Suddenly, all three of them fell down. And they got back up abruptly, staring at me blankly as if they have just woken up. And then they put their hand on their face looking away and shaking from guilt.

“What have I done??! Pyon~”

“To fall the ‘Temping field so easily’. I’m a failure as a healer. Mee~”

“Dragon was going to violate me~. Mero. That was super gross”

Someone put another ice ball on this girl head!!

“Everyone. Are you ok??!!”

Suddenly, I heard another girl’s voice. I turned to her, and she was shouldering the noble man.

“Pristin-sama!! Thank you for much!!”

“Pristin-sama! Is this the Baron that you spoke of?”

Suddenly, Kara went to hug that girl. Gosa went to help her shouldering that man as well. Shampa went and poke the unconscious man.

“I see. Good looking man. Good for the appetizing”

Sampa shamelessly threw that remark. I couldn’t take it and kicked her from behind. That girl glared at me and I glared at her back.

“Ano~ Do you two know each other?”

“Arh~, Pristin-sama. This is one of our missing brother. Pyon~”

“My name is Dragon. I don’t know how you get in here, but we need to get out of here fast as far as possible”

“Idiot Dragon. You don’t even know the situation outside. There’re Soulless Creeper, ghoul and zombies all over the place you know! In here is safer!”

“We can break our way out and go to a safer place. You don’t know that there’s a demon–”

*Boom*

Suddenly, there’s explosion nearby.

“PRISTIN!!! HOW DARE YOU!!”

Everyone was shocked as they watched the girl rapid regeneration before their eyes. Shit, the 30 second has gone.

“What the hell are you still standing there?!! RUN!”

I shouted and woke them up. Viper reacted the fastest and pulled Pristin and that noble man down.

*Swish*

Suddenly, long and sharp nail swooshed down at the place that they were before. Gosa and Goat reacted and jumped out of the way in time as well. Taking the sword and knife nearby, I charged toward her.

“Tch!”

That demon clicked its tongue in disdain, and retracted its nail. Big dark wings spread behind her, and her eyes turned glittering red. So this is her true form. I turned my eyes away and took out my broken dragon mask.

The effect of the ‘Tempting Field’ will lessen if one doesn’t look the demon in the eyes. Gosa, Kara, and Shampa seemed to understand as well when they took out of their mask.

The moment that we took on our masks, there a code which we need to call each other by our code name. So at the moment, Aja, Gosa, Kara, and Shampa doesn’t exist anymore. There’re only Dragon, Rabbit, Goat, and Viper.

“Pristin-sama, Please take Baron-sama and run. You’re no match to this demon.”

Viper said and readied knifes in her hand.

“YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN AWAY?!!!”

That moment, that demon blurred and disappeared. We all move at the same time. Against that demon speed, we can’t do anything. However, we knew its target, and we can anticipate where it’s going to attack and stop it in time!

*Clang*

Rabbit, Viper and Goat blocked the claw that came to Pristin’s life. When I see that demon, ‘Back Stab’ can be activated. I used it and I appeared behind that demon immediately.

As if knowing where I appeared, it swung another claw toward me. I used both the sword and knife to block it. With a clang sound, it stopped. However, slowly, those claws seemed to cut through the blade.

And I also felt something burning in me as well. SHIT, that demon is staring at me. I closed my eyes abruptly to avoid her gaze. However, she put more pressure in her claw and slid through the sword.

DAMN, just how strong is this demon!

“EYE”

Viper shouted out loud, and I understood the code perfectly. I stomped my feet to stand my ground. I opened my eyes to glare at her revealing a mocking smile.

“What wrong? Can’t cut through my skin?? Some tough demon claw you have.”

“YOU MAGGOT! DIE!!!”

She madly shouted and the claw in my side deformed. It got stronger and fiercer which I can’t hold on to its pressure. However, it was all under control.

*Crack*

The knife started to crack, and then it shattered immediately. That demon smiled and put more force into it. I used ‘Back Stab’ immediately and appeared behind her back. That demon pulled her claw from Rabbit and other, and swung her claw again toward me.

‘Idiot’

I smiled at her, and she tried to remove her claw noticing something wrong. However, it was too late.

The code word that viper shouted earlier meant the tactic to kill the demon. EYE which mean vision. To attract that demon attention was my role. I mocked it and attempted to kill it had it forced all its attention to me.

If it hadn’t paid attention to me and kept three of them in place. It would have stayed alive a little longer. However, the moment, it removed its hand from three of them. It’s over.

*Swish* *Swish*

Rabbit used ‘Back Stab’ and cut apart her wings. She also pulled that demon hair down hard. And then Goat and Viper moved at the same time piercing that demon’s eyes.

That demon screamed painfully, but then she stopped as Goat and Viper twisted their knife and pulled it back. With a poof, she fell down. We all run away from the room. We also brought Pristin and that noble with us.

“30 second delay. Run!”

“Make that 60 second”

Viper said and used her magic. The whole corridor were filled with traps. We understood what she were doing, and picked up our speed.

We were running fast, and then –

*Bang*

That demon went out crashing that room in the process. It roared angrily and glared at us.

“I KILL YOU!! I KILL YOU ALL!! I’ll tear your limp to limp till there’s nothing left of you!!”

The demon then leapt toward us.

“GOAT!”

“Light Shield”

“YOU THINK YOU CAN BLOCK WITH THIS PUNY SHIELD!!! DIE!”

*Ting*

A trap was activated, and then multiple traps activated at the same time.

*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*…

The explosive in the tight corridor without any route escape burst forth and devoured that demon whole. The light shield cracked upon the receiving the blast.

“I can’t hold it for long! Stupid Viper. How many trap did you use?!”

“Hold it on! You’re the only one with that defensive magic! And do you have to keep standing there? Run!!”

“Like hell I can! To run while deploying Light shield, I’m not White-sama! How can I do that?!”

*Dump*

Suddenly, a black lump of charred coal leaned on the light shield. And then it opened its red eyes abruptly and smiled. Everyone felt chill running through their spine immediately.

“Everyone! Hurry up and go!”

I shouted immediately and then I took out a red cloak which has minimal fire resistance and a new knife. I wrapped myself in the red cloak and charged forward.

“DRAGON??!!”

“BACK ESCAPE!”

I shouted and everyone reacted toward it. Rabbit grabbed Pristine and run. Viper cast her spell and laid trap on my cloak. After that, she also run. I went passed Goat, and went through the light shield without destroying it.

“DIE!!!”

That demon tried to destroy the light shield, but I pushed it far away. Upon going outside, I can feel the intense heat of Viper’s trap.

“Goat”

I heard Viper shouted for Goat. And then I started counting down to 10 seconds.

“HAHAHA~ To come out yourself. Little scumbag! DIE!!”

I can’t see, but I can feel that demon. And so I started stabbing my knife again and again.

5..6..7..8..9..10!

The intense flame stopped and disappeared immediately. The effect of the trap has disappeared. And then everything became clear. I unwrapped myself and cover that demon with the cloak. I stabbed my knife and twisted it hard to lock the cloak on the demon.

I jumped back and somersaulted. When I saw Rabbit’s back who’s running far away. I used ‘Back Stab’ and appeared behind her.

*Boom*

When I got away, the cloak exploded with another explosive trap on it. Multiple trap didn’t kill her off. Let’s see how you survive that explosive right up your face!

“30 second delay! Lets find a place –”

*Swoosh*

Before I finished speaking, a shadow leapt passed me drawing red line as it goes.

When I see it clearly, I felt chill running up my spine. That demon caught up to me while covering in dark flame. Suddenly, it swung its hand so fast, I can’t see anything.

And then I tumbled down hard on the floor rolling many times.

Heh? What’s going on?? 30 seconds hasn’t passed yet. Why? What’s going on? I moved my body, but then I can’t feel my left leg. I looked down, and it wasn’t there. Horror shook in immediately and pain rumbling through my nerve later on.

“ARHH!!”

Not just me, I heard my sisters screamed in pain as well. Viper got her left hand cut off. Goat got deep burned claw mark on her back. Bone in Rabbit’s arm were visible as she tried to block the black flame.

“Everyone!!”

Pristin shouted to everyone desperately. That demon walked closer to her.

“DAMN. Stop wasting my time! I don’t have all day to chase you around! To even make me use my skill. You human are pain in the ass. Now Die”

That demon walked closer and grabbed Pristin by the neck. She tried to resist, but it wouldn’t budge at all.

“Pristine-sama~”

Rabbit, Goat and Viper weakly called for her. I don’t know who she is, but I can see that everyone seemed to love her. As a man, can I stand watching a girl die like that?

I reached for my pocket and searched for something to throw at her. I grabbed something hard and threw it to that demon head without second thought.

*Toc*

With a tock on her head, she glared at me angrily.

“Hey, ugly bitch. Do you want to know where the hero is?”

Looking at me interestingly, she let go of Pristin.

“So you’re the hero companion after all. You seemed weak, but I admit that was something praiseworthy. To kill me 5 times in a row even if I didn’t use any strength.”

She came this way and held me high by my neck.

“Now, tell me where the hero is?”

“Haha … Hero … will … come … and … prepared yourself. A thousand … life … wouldn’t be … enough for you.”

*Crash*

That demon ruthlessly threw me out crashing through the wall. From the second floor, I fell miserably down the front lawn. I coughed out mouth full of blood, and my consciousness is getting hazy. I can’t feel most of my body anymore.

Thinking of what I just said, I laughed to myself. Of course a hero will come. Though, it is illusionary. However, I can hope like that, right? Though, I never believed even once there is something like that, but I can make my last wish, right?

This is suck. I haven’t left anything for my brother and sisters yet. I wondered if they are alright right now. Everyone should have survived that blast of magic and got here for some reason.

That demon dropped on the ground walking toward me.

With a swish kick, that demon blew me hitting the magic seal outside. Dropping on the ground, I can feel my body convulsing badly. That demon walked toward me leisurely. When she got close, I can see the red mist flowing out of me again and flew to her mouth.

Saying so, she slit open my throat, and large portion of red mist flew out. So this is the feeling of being dead. It’s cold, and scary.

I was bathed in stronger light, and I then I realized the person who descend from the sky helped to heal my wound.

Impossible. I was supposed to die.

The man spoke to me while raising me up. I was made to stand up and I also found that my left foot also regenerated back as well. This feeling. This is not a dream, right?

He asked again and then I pointed to the mansion. He looked at the direction and he talked to the girl beside him.

“Shifun-chan. Make haste. I can sense that their signal is weak.”

Dumbfounded looking at that man, I didn’t realize that blond girl ran off quickly without looking back.

Sprawling around, that demon screamed in agony.

That demon bit the part which its arm got torn off, and scratched its own back with deep claw. It screamed loudly and only then it started to regenerated back to normal.
