Within Crystalium, there stood 12 cities which are the victors from the long lost war.

The whole kingdom can be depicted as the ‘Crescent Moon Devouring the Vortex’ which can be divided to two part – the Crescent Moon and the Vortex.

The Crescent Moon in the map which sometimes referred to the Kingdom has slightly higher altitude than the Vortex, and the 12 cities scattered across this part of the map. Along with a fissure that was cracked opened by using the forbidden art of Ice during the war, the kingdom is now divided into 3 part – the Upper Crescent, the Middle Crescent and the Lower Crescent.

The Vortex has lower altitude, and it was home to many dangerous monster. It has 3 layers according to the level of monster in those area.

The first layer is called ‘Vortex Skin’ which housed many common low level monster. Knight are often dispatch to subjugate the monsters that come close to village.

The second layer is called ‘Vortex Blood’ which housed many high level and vicious monster. From time to time, monsters inside this layer over-populated and invaded the first layer and then later the kingdom. And so, to prevent this, the Kingdom often dispatch high star knight to patrol these area and prepared for the sudden battle at any times.

The third layer is called ‘Vortex Belly’ which housed even higher monster and for a few months every year, the whole Vortex Belly is raged with powerful blizzard storm. Even this layer has higher grade monster, but they are few in number which make it a safer place than other layer.

The Upper Crescent referred to the highest land compared to the vortex. And the capital ‘Didyris’ resided within this part. There’re cities like ‘Chystern’ which is a prosperous city famous for its highest economic and ‘Muirjin’ which is like a fortress rather than a city and it’s proud of its defensive capability. It also act as the first front line to protect the main capital. There’s also a port city ‘Kryptia’ which is formed on the fissure crack which divided the Upper Crescent and the Middle Crescent.

The Middle Crescent referred to the central land which is also the largest land of the kingdom. It’s close to the ‘Vortex Skin’ and there’s a lot of skirmish between monsters and the knights in this part of the kingdom. ‘Sababilia’ which is the city that train and produced capable knights resided in this part closest to the ‘Vortex Skin’. ‘Gleamia’ is the second closest city which has a magician academy that trained capable Mage to aid knights. ‘Dimdel’ is the furthest and it is widely known for mining and blacksmithing best of the best equipment. ‘Deltear’ is the smallest city with few population, and this city is govern by a retired 11 star knight – the greatest knight in the history. And there’s also another port city ‘Sycron’ which connected the Middle Crescent and the Lower Crescent.

The Lower Crescent referred to the lowest land which is somehow similar to the Vortex. However, this area is closer to the border of Vortex Belly rather than other layers which make it rather a safe place from monster invasion. Since Vortex Belly has smaller amount of monster compared to other area. ‘Garm’ is a small city known for forestry material, and farm. ‘Topel’ became a front line city when a new enemy is found beyond the mountain – wolf clan. The war has been going for few years now, and it shows no sign of stopping. ‘Venolia’ is fairly large city in the Lower Crescent as well.

However, due to the unforeseen war, it’s starting to decline as it kept supplying ‘Topel’ with military strength and power. ‘Sycron’ saw it as rare chance and kept trimming away ‘Venolia’s borderline.

And that’s the sum up situation of this country. Right now, I am listening to Pristin-chan’s explanation of this country. For some reason, the 3 assassin siblings are sitting closely behind me. About 3 meters away, Shifun-chan is currently engaged in battle with Kori. At first, Shifun-chan was sitting near me, but Pristin is distracted by her beauty, and so I told her to spar with Kori.

After they went off, Pristin even asked who Shifun is. As I thought, to suddenly become a hot blond girl is a big surprise. In addition, she is a celestial vassal. I didn’t know that she has such hidden potential. I told her the truth intended to find out what’s the reaction of a god vassal has on people. Pristin and the 3 assassin siblings gasped at what I told her, and then they even ask if I’m a god. I don’t know why, but I’m a bit irritated because they asked me that. Maybe, it’s because the current god is a useless bastard who abandoned his duty as a god and created cheats everywhere, so I don’t want to be him.

Anyway, let’s get back to the topic. To be honest, I was surprise when I heard there was 12 cities reigned by the current Queen. By the story told by Pristin, Queen Linia is loved by all, a kind hearted woman who has been in the throne for 15 years. She placed her people in top priority and devise the current military plan as well as Ranking of the current Knighthood. By doing so, she was able to save countless life from the monster attack. She has been contributed so much even in the war between the wolf clan.

However, I noticed something strange in her story. Why did she wage war with the wolf clan? Going by Pristin’s story, wolf clan isn’t the type to foolishly wage war without any reason. They know reason, and they value life just as human. Furthermore, they came from the outside. This country is being sealed by a certain bastard, so how did those wolf clan traverse here? Recalling Ice Spirit-chan’s story, I concluded that wolf clan is the race sent by God to help Ice Spirit-chan.

So if that’s true, then why did she wage war against them?

‘If you want to beat that bastard, you will have to save her. She will be the greatest power to oppose that bastard. Actually, that bastard seemed to be afraid of her as well. Once you awaken her real power, you will have a chance to kill him.’

Recalling what Ice spirit-chan said, that bastard is afraid of the wolf clan. When the wolf clan made appearance, Queen Linia declared war against them. No matter how you look at it, it’s getting too suspicious. Perhaps, Queen Linia is that bastard, but I have no solid proof. I can’t draw any conclusion from this, so I stopped thinking about it. For precaution, let’s avoid Queen Linia at any cost. She might be the last boss after all.

Pristina always stressed on what is going in Venolia, how unfair Venolia was treated, how Queen Linia ignored this matter, and her brother plan of rebellion. Pristin honestly love her city as she describe it in wonderful way. Listening to her story, I was tempted from time to time to visit her city. And then finally, she bowed to me and begged me to save Venolia.

“Please, I’m begging of you, White-sama to save Venolia. With your power as Ice Saint, your subordinator as a god Vassal. I’m begging of you. Please save Venolia. It’s my home town and the place I have most memory with. It is presumptuous of me to ask, but I really want you to save Venolia!”

I was hit with a sudden request, and then I began to think. I’m currently in a time limit quest. I got 3 weeks and I need to find many ally as fast as possible. I still don’t know how to save the wolf princess. By worst chance, she would be trapped inside the capital where the Queen is. I can’t stopping thinking that it is the truth. If it’s really is, then what’s with this impossible difficulty?! To get the character to kill the last boss, you have to fight the last boss. Isn’t it impossible?!

There’s a magic which I can use to summon the wolf princess, but it used Pure Ancient Ice mana to complete the ritual. I fit the description since my core affinity has already evolved into Pure Ancient Ice core. However, the problem is with the amount required to perform that magic. Well, if I have to put in in numerical number, would 500% of Pure Ancient Ice mana come close?

I currently only have 80% of it residing in my body. Calculating in my head, I deemed that searching and absorbing 500% Pure Ancient Ice mana into my body is impossible for now. Well, I can use Nature Blend to absorb those energy, but the thing is that those energy are quite scarce around this area. To be honest, I only sensed those energy twice – the first is Ice Spirit-chan’s rampaging hail storm, and then in the room where the wolf princess was kept. I couldn’t sense it in other place at all.

Shit, I need to calm down. My head is a mess right now, and I can’t decide on something at all. I even got my priority backward now.

I snapped and then as reflex, I activated ‘Ice Domain’ and ‘Ice pillar’ knocking all three of them out of the Igloo, and then I sealed the Igloo back.

With a sigh, I turned to face Pristine-chan.

She said while wiping her eyes.

“I’m really sorry.”

I apologized again.

“So, get back to the topic. I someone got the gist of what’s going in Venolia. Probably, your brother will probably start a rebellion already.”

“That’s not true. Paricel-sama wouldn’t do something like that.”

“Then, what’s the reason that he sent you away?”

Later on, she woke up in a carriage being travelled across Vortex Belly. And then the story went on as she came across the 3 assassin siblings. She saved them and in return, they escaped an ambush set by those Topel Soldiers. And they ran away until they came into this cave. And later on, shifun and I came.

“Pristin, so tell me where are you going? Your maid told you, right?”

“It’s Gleamia. It’s where Paricel-sama distant uncle live. I was told to ask for help from him.”

“Is that the real reason? For simple reason like that, he put you to sleep and put you in a carriage that go across Vortex Belly? It doesn’t seem to be such a simple reason to me though. Of course, don’t tell me that you haven’t realized. All people here are either children, women, or elders. If this isn’t evacuation, I don’t know what it called. And you should know the reason for the evacuation already, right?”

Yeah, it’s the preparation for the rebellion.

“No, it can’t be. Paricel-sama wouldn’t do such dangerous thing. He loved Venolia, so he wouldn’t turn it into a battlefield.”

“It’s because he loved it, that’s why he wouldn’t want his beloved to get destroyed. You should know the reason why he evacuate people in Venolia. To even sent you all across the most dangerous place in this country. He’s desperate. You should know that desperate man would do anything to save his beloved.”

When I said, Pristin stared at me blankly. Maybe she couldn’t take the shock, she just sat there powerlessly. I guess, it’s a right reaction. Starting a rebellion, if that succeed, it would be good, but if it failed, the consequences would be too big.

I got up and then I went to her. I kneeled down before her, and then I flicked her forehead.

“What are you doing? Are you regretting? Don’t! Don’t waste a man’s resolution. You, the closest to him should know that how hard it is for him to reach this decision. If you started to regret now, all his effort will be meaningless. Don’t you think right now, he’s the one who need the most support? As his sister, you should support him in this. She said while bowing with much clearer determination. I can feel it with her words without turning around.

“Then why are you still sitting there? Hurry up and pack up. We don’t have much time.”

“Pack up? Where are we going?”

“Where, you ask? A trip to give your brother a flick on the forehead it is.”

I said while walking out of the igloo. I can hear her thanking me and crying again, but I chose to ignore it. Well, it’s a good deal for me as well.

Assuming Queen Linia is the last boss, it would mean I have to go against the whole country. However, if I can turn the whole country on her, my 0.1% chance of clearing this would increase. So a rebellion starting at this time benefit me a lot. That’s it, I have decided my plan. First steps, let’s conquer this country.

Kori asked while crawled to my head. I answered her by nodding, and then I told her my plan. Kori is listen to me attentively.

After I finished filling her of what’s going on, Kori went to sleep. Is it too tired to listen to me? I turned toward the 3 siblings.

“Gosa, Kara, Sampa. I’ve got jobs for you.”

“Job? Mee~ Is it tonight service job? Mee~ I alone is enough Mee~”

Gosa muttered while inspecting her knife.

“White-sama. Do you know anything about it Pyon~”

“Well, it’s Shifun-chan’s sword. It has the property which reduce equipment endurance when it came to contact. Last night, you guy had a fight. So it properly ran out of endurance in that time.”

“White-sama. I still think that it’s a bad idea to cross the Vortex Blood. Monster are spawned fast and endlessly. And beside, we have children and elder. They can’t walk forever, and our carriages has been destroyed as a decoy as well. So it’s impossible to go through the Vortex Blood.”

Arh~ Her reason is sound. I can’t believe I forgot about it. There’re children and elders here who can travel only for few hours. At best, the injury I just healed them would come back, and maybe worst. What should I do? Come on, think.

“Pristin. Do you know any monster that can be used as mount?”

Monster might pops up every times and Gosa, Sampa and Kara are the only one with fighting experiences. Children soon get tired, and likely, we will spend more time on resting. Since the monster are abundant, we will waste our energy fighting them as well. And so it will be a repeat action of fighting and resting which might take more days to reach Venolia”

“Well, I can understand that White-sama is pretty serious about this and your willingness to save people is too powerful. However, there’s no need to rush. Following the normal route – ”

The blood that soaked the snow turned dark completely, and then they vaporized into the air. This is the skill which I got after I finished enduring the ‘Black Weakening Poison’ when I equipped the black ring. It was the special effect which attract monster and forced them to go frenzy.

I focus on my energy again, and then I used ‘Ice Search Presence’.

The messaged showed while displaying a mini map for me. I smirked at the blue dots on the screen. It was so thick and bright that I can’t count how many there are at all.

OI! Isn’t this bad?! Maybe I underestimated the power of this skill. I know it can lure out monster, but I didn’t it could lure out all the monster there are in this place. I can’t the end of the blue dots at all. Even the maps of 5 km radius couldn’t cover all the monsters! Just how many are there?!!

Shit! If I don’t do something, this will not end well.

I quickly concentrated on my mana and raised two walls about 100m long and 5m thick as high as possible. And then I raised where I was standing as high as possible as well. This will be a trap for those monsters.

I took out a ‘Mana Stone’ and my sword. I emptied my remaining mana by creating about thousands of ice arrows. Ever since my core has evolved into Pure Ancient Ice, I have better control of these arrows, and I can control more of them as well. After creating them and raising them toward the sky, I had them swirling fast. These will become my means of anti-aircraft weapon.

After that, I ate the Mana Stone to refill my Mana. I tightly grabbed ‘King Glacier Iceberg’ and check its status and skill list again. I have 1 charge of Rush which has 30 minutes cool down and then I have 3 charge of ‘Hail Slash’ which has 15 minutes cool down.

I nodded to myself as I was ready. And then suddenly, I can feel the ground rumbling.

“Here they come”

I said to myself as I glanced toward the storm of snow coming toward me. I took a deep breath, and then I used all the buffs from Light magic list. I also put two light shields on both of my sides. When I finished that, I could see some flying beast started flying toward me as well.

I don’t know why, but this situation made my blood boiled.

“I, myself alone going against foe which outnumbered thousands, holding my sword to the sky high facing the coming fate, I FIGHT AND I’LL WIN!”

YAY! I finally say something cool! Is it cool? I don’t know, but I feel that it is cool!

Those galloping beast also went into between the two walls I created as well. They are galloping fast, and they haven’t realized that they has fallen into my trap. Let’s shower them with welcoming gift.

“Snow Barrage”

New form of ‘Snow Ball’ which has rapid fire rather than power. However, in this situation, this is enough. Snow started to fall on all of those monsters like raining. Some flying beast got hit by those snow, fell down since the snow piled up and made its wings heavy. Other flying beast tried to dive toward me, but got skewered by my ice arrows. It fell toward the rampaging monsters below and got stumbled to death.

A message floated to me showing that I got experience from that monster. Well, this is just the beginning. Those monsters are galloping downhill fast, they couldn’t stop themselves, and they tripped and slid on the slippery ice. Small and nimble monsters all tripped and fell down on the slippery ice, larger monster came stumbling upon them killing them and giving me experience point. The large monster which looked like elephant tripped after it stumped on several monsters, and then it mowed down smaller monsters which couldn’t get up. Like a bowling ball, it hit a perfect. And then later, several of those elephant tripped and fell on top one and another crushing its own comrade.

Heee? How to say this? This is too cruel. I made this trap intending to make them tripped and fell down to stop their track. And then I’ll use long range attack to finish them off. However, right now I haven’t done anything yet, they kept dying and giving me experiences. Somehow watching this, it left a bad taste to my mouth.

Those large elephant couldn’t get up leaving its belly exposed. Suddenly, monsters with horns tripped and came running toward those elephant’s belly.

*Pierce* *Pierce* *Pierce*…… *Death Cry*

I clapped my hand praying for them to reach heaven.

After that those elephants all died because of those horn monsters pierced their belly. Those horn monsters, on the other hand tried to pull itself from the Elephant’s death body. Elephant’s body finally disperse into light particle floating up high.

Those horn monster were finally freed, but then they got crushed by clubs. It were actually white fur gorilla which wield clubs in its hand. Those gorillas glared at me, and then they came climbing toward me. However, they couldn’t get close because my Ice Arrows shot them down again and again until they died by falling.

It’s hasn’t been 30 minutes, and few hundred monsters were dead. There were some monster which can attack using magic, but it was either crushed or stumbled to death by other. All of the monsters are already in between my two high wall. I’ll think I have stomachache if I continued to watch this, so I’ve decided to end it in one go.

I concentrated my energy, and then I controlled the two walls with my magic. Feeling that I have complete control over them, I clapped my hands, and then in respond, the two wall clapped as well crushing everything inside.

*Ting* *Ting* *Ting*…………………………………………………………………….

I can feel my ear going numb from the ‘Ting’ sound.

Shifun-chan, on the other hand wasn’t able to recover herself from the shock yet. She has never seen monster this big before. So she was still gasping at that sight. The 3 assassins, on the other hand, charged forward. They had seen many type of monsters, so this kind wouldn’t surprise them. However, they knew clearly that they wouldn’t be able to beat it.

Their best choice is to get that monster’s attention and then moved away from the cave as far as possible. They have to do this because White-sama has entrust them with this. Though, they are assassins killing for money, but they are truthful with their words. They always fulfilled their promise without fail. Grabbing tightly, the Frost Pinch which White-sama gave them. They are ready to sacrifice themselves, but then before they could advance. Something dropped from the top of that monster.

All the 3 assassins stopped immediately.

“Uwaa~ damn, it’s so high! Oi! Pristin, are you ok?!”

“I hate you!! I thought I was going to die for a second there!”

Pristin said while struggling to get off from me. I let her off, and then she ran off angrily. Well, I guess, it’s too much for her, and I kind of over did it as well.

I avoid the upcoming goat, and walked toward Gosa.

“Yo, How’s the preparation?”

“heh? Oh! White-sama! Well, the preparation is ready, Pyon~”

The moment I turned to Pristin who’s coming toward me. This guy appeared behind her burrowing and reaching the sky high. Seeing it, I felt unexplainable happiness. I immediately tame it, and it worked in the first try.

Afterward, I named it Yuichi, the Snow Express. And then together with Pristin, we ride it here. When everyone heard my story, they had a vacant in their eyes. I explained how to ride Yuichi to everyone, and the kids are really excited. I let them touch Yuichi’s scale and play around with it.

30 minutes after loading everything on Yuichi. We set our destination, and then Yuichi half burrowed through the snow in incredible speed. Everyone is excited, and I praise Yuichi through Telepathy. Prisitn who was angry with me a while ago is also enjoying the fast breeze of the wind as well.

It wasn’t long before, we was able to a gleam of a city standing in the middle of the ice vast land. Venolia, here I come!

Suddenly, Yuichi called out to me what he felt through the sensor of his scale.

Even Kori’s on my head is shaking violently.
