Ho~ so she can do thought activation. Just like word activation, you can say the right word to open up your status or skill list or even invoke skill. However, that would be just like inform your enemy of what you will do. So there’s another skill to fix that problem.

Thought activation worked inside your mind and you can also invoke everything just like the word activation. However, it requires a lot of concentration and practice. One good thing of this is that, unlike opening your status with word activation that people can peek from behind your back. Thought activation hide it so that no one can see at all.

“Sorry for making you wait. I’m level 26”

Heh? Level 26? I thought that her level is 25 – no, I remember clearly that her level is 25! How come she level up without doing anything?

Arh~ it must be the Experience sharing system. The first Elder Antlion was chasing her, so I bet she must have hit it at least once. And when I defeated it, she was able to receive the Experience point as well. However, I just heard she just said something important –

“I think White-san is even better than me!”

Suddenly, she leaned forward and said that with her sparkling eyes.

“It’s because while I was fainting, I got a message said that the monster was defeated and I received 8900 Exp point. You must have defeated it all by yourself! You’re must be strong!”

Hmm? Only 8900 exp? That’s a fourth of what I get! What’s the different? Could it be that since the level difference is an affected factor on the received experience as well?

Her level is high already so she only receives lower point than me who is level 1.

I dropped my jaw looking at my stats. I didn’t notice it, but after raiding and binding equipment, my stats increase like crazy. There used to be + 50 at the end of the stats before, but they now change into + 10 or + 20. The overall surplus is equal to 100 stats, so maybe this is the level up bonus stats.

So how about my overall 400 surplus stats from before? Did they merged with the original one or something? My Charm is 350 now, so they must have merged together. It’s no longer 50 + 300, but it became 350. Somehow I felt bad thinking that I can’t turn back to normal.

Hoho~ I can use 3 newer forms of the arrow – Ice Drilling Arrow, Ice Piercing Arrow, and Ice Burst Arrow. However, what’s the meaning of the number next to the arrow? I guess I find out later.

The numbers of the arrows has also increased, but I think it is because my INT and WIS increase. I guess I can’t find much the different unless I try it out myself.

I have to say that it is really great. I didn’t think that experience point could be used to rank up skill or something like that. I used to play game that use experience point to learn magic and skill before, but it didn’t come across my mind at all.

Since I’m overflowed with experience point here, why don’t I rank up all of them??

And so I started clicking on those skill and have them ranked up. The result was really satisfying.

Light heal which heal for 500 HP went up to 700 HP and I use thought activation on it 5 times in a row. Rejuvenate has the same improvement on the amount it heals and number of times to use it.

Ice Ball and Snow Ball is considered as ranged attack just like Ice Arrow, and so they also have increased in damage and forms. Now, I can use its newer forms – Ice Boulder, Ice Fragment, Snow Boulder, and Snow Barrage.

Ice wall and Ice Pillar has faster activation and reaction time. Their defense also has improved which I can give layer to make it stronger.

Freeze Touch and Mana Freeze has faster manifestation time and freezing time. With the aid of ice manipulation skill, the mana consumed has lessened.

Ice Trinket and Light Trinket consumed less mana and now they have a newer form as well – Ice Attraction Trinket, and Light Attraction Trinket. They have the attributed of magnet which attract their distinctive energy. Reading the description of this skill, I feel my gamer blood boiled for some reason. I really want to try them now.

However, it would be too rude to keep Shifun-chan waiting. Right now, she is looking at me earnestly. Seeing how I clicked rapidly, she slightly frowned. And then she clapped her hand together while closing her eyes. Is she praying?

“White-san, what’s wrong? Are you done??”

Seeing me staring at her, she asked me.

“Oh no, not yet. I was busy ranking up my skills so I was kind of lost track of time. Sorry.”

She let out a relieve sigh. Are you really that afraid??

“It’s alright. I’m waiting for your answer. If your level is higher than mine, and then I’ll follow you. If not, then you have to follow me.”

Somehow, she changed the deal. Wasn’t it supposed to be I’m being protected? How come it went to her leading me?

“Shifun-chan, you changed the deal, you know! You said that you protected me only and you didn’t say that you will be leading me –”

“I-I-I-I-I-It is the same thing. If I deem some place dangerous, I won’t let you go to that place.”

Hohoho~ seeing her blushing and protesting, it might feel soothing for other people. However, I’m suffering here. She’s again with her abrupt character change making my head hurt. I’m ignoring it now. Let’s just focus on leveling up. I can’t let her controlling or telling me where to go. It’s too troublesome.

Beside I have quest and Bell to find. There’s bound to be danger. So that’s it. Let’s focus on surviving this place with high level. I opened the Experience Pool again.

Hah? What are you talking about? Changing class? People can change class? Form what she is saying, it’s not rare for people to change class. However, I don’t remember seeing it in any book.

Did she mean by evolving class? Like swordsman to knight apprentice when he has unlocked enough condition like level, and proficient in sword skill. However, it didn’t mention that level dropped back to 1 when performed that class evolving.

If that’s true, then it is quite a helpful information. From now on, I’ll think twice before deciding to class change. Since she asked me so now, let’s just go with that.

Shifun-chan said it while looking dignified. Did she forget she just admit that she’s trying to trick me?

Well, it’s true that these skills are important to me. I mean, what’s tamer do if he wouldn’t tame a thing? Though, I think I’m still fine without them.

However, it’s not fun that way. I want to try out new things as well, you know. A boy instinct wouldn’t be able to stay still when he know there’s something fun before him!!

So let’s just pretend that I got tricked into this. Hmm. It’s no harm choosing them. By the rate this going, I guess I can choose 3 skills at best. So let’s make them the best 3.

This skill seem assuring because it’s like the common skill played in any game. I mean, you have to have this to get your familiar to do something. Communication is important no matter where you go, so telepathy is the best form of it!

Even if I get my class related skills, I wasn’t really happy. Because I overspend the Exp Point I have, now I can only up to level 10. Without waiting any longer, I clicked them up with bitter in my heart.

I sigh and then Shifun-chan looks a bit happy. She is enjoying this, isn’t she?

“So, are you finished this time?”

She asked me while smiling. My cheek cramped when I see that smile. No matter how I see it, that’s a provocation, right?

“Arh~ I just finished. And my level is only 10. It’s my loss”

I said that loudly to the point that I almost shouting. There’s a limit to how much you can be reckless. I can’t say that to myself though, I’m a cheat.

However, Shifun-chan is a normal person of this world. Her survival rate depend on her level, skill, and equipment. If she failed any one of them, then she’s likely to die early.

When I said that, she looked at me with awe. Oi! Don’t forget to breathe!

Looking at her body again, I remembered that I have an armor which might be her size. And so, I thought of that armor and brought it out of my ring.

“Take it. Since I can’t have you go around without any armor after all. But you have to deal with it first, since I don’t have any that fit you at the moment.”

I handed it to her, but she was startled to the point that she sat still. And then abruptly, she pushed it back.

“No, No! I can’t accept this at all. This is too precious of an armor.”

“Why?”

“This is Magic equipment, right? It’s too precious of an item. i can’t afford to take your heirloom at all.”

Huh? Somehow, she mistaken it for my heirloom. A magic equipment is this precious? I’m wearing legendary and magic bound equipment all over my body, though. Am I going to be alright? At any rate, I can’t let her go out without wearing that armor. It’s too dangerous after all, and I won’t be able to protect her at all.

However, what should I do? How am I supposed to make her accept this armor? Oh~ let’s put the 350 charm to a good use. Ufufufuf~

“Shifun-chan, please take it. If you’re willing to be my bodyguard, then I want you to take this. I don’t want to see you’re hurt after all. Before protecting me, I want you to protect yourself at all means. Is too much of a request?”

She hung her head down while blushing deeply red. YOSH!! It’s a perfect success! Shifun-chan, you’re too easy. Onii-chan is a bit worried of your future.

She said that and then, she took the armor from me. She stood up, and held that armor close to her chest. Hmm? What’s she doing?

Suddenly, white light seeped from her and envelop the armor. When it fully covered the armor, the armor burst into light particle. Heh? Did she destroy that?

I was thinking about that, but it turned to be wrong. The next thing is that those light started to cover her whole body, and then they reformed back to the armor. However, the most surprising thing is that armor changed its size to fit her body perfectly. Covering her chest and her waist line, and exposing the right line and curve, that armor sure know its stuff!!

After that, she blushed and fidgeted.

“W-W-W-What do you think?”

“Hmm! Hmm! It’s suit you well. You look pretty.”

I answered her while nodding rapidly.

“So do you find any problem moving in that?”

“No, it’s fit me perfectly. Thank you, White-san.”

After noticing that the armor changed to fit her size, I decided to ask her what she did. And it turned out that it was her class related skill, ‘Artificial Bind’. It was a skill to perform a bind equipment to her. Since I heard similar word, I decided to ask about it.

And then it turned out that, magic bound equipment are much rare and precious than normal magic equipment. A king of a country would like to own one of it. And the best thing about it is that bound equipment can’t be stolen. Once bind to a master, the stats boost and the performance only worked on the same master. Even if someone were to steal it, it would have no effect at all. However, it’s not easy to bind a Magic Bound Equipment. People want the information to bind a Magic Bound Equipment more than the Magic Bound Equipment itself.

Her skill is to imitate that features which formed an artificial bind on an equipment. She said that it was a useless skill that she wasted 10 level of Exp Point to unlock it. Why? Because it only work with magic equipment. And her knew that how hard it is to get a magic equipment.

Since I gave her a magic equipment, she was able to try it out. And it turned out that it worked fine. After that, I also gave her an Elder Carapace Armguard. This time, she tried to say something, but seeing me wearing one as well, she didn’t say anything.

Somehow she’s happy to receive that armguard. My imagination?

I wanted to give her a weapon as well, but before I could give her, she took out a sword from her pendent. I was a little surprise since I thought that item storage accessory was rare. I asked her about it and it turned out that it wasn’t really rare to have item storage accessory. However, it just the size it can hold differ. It seems that to store more than 50 item is a rare one already.

My ring can hold 100 + items and I feel that there’s more space to it. Like I thought, I’m a cheat. Let’s keep silent about this.

Since preparation are ready, she and I started departing for our journey. I got out of the Igloo without a problem, but Shifun seemed to have a bit trouble. And so, I helped her by manipulating the ice.

“Thank you, White-san. That was amazing! Are you an Arch-Mage?”

“Secret~”

I said while playing with my finger. And then she smiled saying ‘I get it’. And so, we ventured the direction I have yet to venture. While walking, I suddenly felt a presence.

That presence wasn’t close to me, and I know that it is far away. I didn’t know what’s going on, but I know one thing that I know that presence well, and one word come to mind – Bell.

“White-san, what’s –”

Noticing that I stopped suddenly, Shifun-chan asked me. With the aid of Sprint, I kicked off the snow and ran suddenly. I heard Shifun-chan shouted, but I’ll ignored it.

In my head, I only focus on the presence I felt and ran with all my might. After a while, Shifun-chan was running behind my back. I was stunned when she was able to catch up with my speed. Well, she has affinity with wind element after all.

“White-san, slow down! What happen?”

“I have to hurry. There’s someone I have to see”

“It’s going to be dangerous if you keep going like this!”

“I don’t care!”

I shouted and sped up. Then suddenly, she rushed in front of me and stood in front of me to stop me.

“STOP!”

I was going to stop before her, but suddenly, the presence I felt lost. I couldn’t feel it anymore and so I grew anxious. Something must have happened, I can’t stop now!!

I rushed forward and avoid her. She didn’t want me to go tried to tackle me. However, I dodged and quickly grabbed her body. And so, I rushed on carrying her in my arm.

“White-san!!??”

I heard that she shouted, but I ignored them. I ran fast and then I came to a cliff.

“White-san??!! That’s a cliff! Why aren’t you slowing down?! White-san??!!”

I rushed and sped up more. I jumped off the cliff and Shifun-chan screamed while holding me tight. I glanced down, and then I saw group of army chasing groups of female, elder and children to a corner.

*Thump*

“What was that?!!”

“Something just fell off the cliff!!”

“Pay no mind!! It’s just a monster corpse or something. Hurry and captures them!! Duke wouldn’t be happy if we came back empty handed!! As long as we have their family in control, those frontline will keep fighting!!”

“But sir –”

“What’re you chicken out?!! Or do you want to go to the frontline yourself??!! Just so you know, I can make you and your family disappear like crushing a bug! Just one word from me, and you’re gone for good!! Don’t hesitate and charge, You stupid bastard!!”

I heard people shouting outside of the snow. Shifun-chan was still hugging me tight. Since we fall from so high, we sink deep into the snow.

Using ‘Ice Presence Search’, I was able to tell that there’re at least 20 people in front of me which are the chaser, and there’re more than 30 people behind my back which are female, elders and children.

From what I heard, those army aren’t up to something good. And since now that I got close enough, I can feel the faint presence that I was searching. I know that I have those people no matter what. Going against 20 people or so will be hard, and so I’ll be needing some help.

Time to put Tamer Class to a good use. I took out the summoning stone and started pouring my energy inside it.

Suddenly, energy swirled around me fast knocking away the surrounding snow forming into a snow tornado.

“What’s going on?!”

“It’s a monster! It’s alive”

“Be on your guard!! Formation!”

Those army sure act quick.

“Mama. I’m scared”

“Granma!”

“Mama!!”

From behind of me, I heard children cry hugging their mother. People are trembling in fear. Seeing this, I peeled Shifun-chan off and pushed her toward those people.

“White-san??”

“Protect them. Shifun-chan”

I said and then I walked forward with the storm swirling around me. The summoning stone started to crack as I poured too much energy in.

“Summon!”

The stone burst and a magic circle spread under my feet. The energy from the stone quickly filled up the circle and then it glowed beautifully.

“Brace yourself!!”

Those soldiers are quick and they completely armed themselves for battle. They are pretty good compare to the soldier in the palace. However, they are trying to harm someone I know in those crowd. Because of that, I won’t let them off easily.

The light died out, and it became the fight of me and my first tamed monster.
