Changing Perspective --- Yashi (Wiki-kun)

My name is Yashi Suzune. And I hate my name – Suzune. My family is a mess, and I hated it. Every day is a torture to me. I don’t know how many times I changes my house and school because my parent kept piling up debts. And as a result, I don’t have any friends.

I doubt that I can even make friends. I bet they ignored me if they knew about me. So it’s better to not to get close to anyone. I have no interest in girls either. Observing my parent, I realized that girls are pain in the ass. They are just like leech coming toward you only to gain advantage from you. If you have no advantage, they don’t even consider you in their eyes.

I drown myself in reading books as that was the only thing I can do. I read any kind of books everywhere I goes. Naturally, my grade went up. And then girls started roaming me like fly. What’s a simple and disgusting creature!

I turned 16. And my family moved again. Right now, I’m attending a school. I don’t remember the name. I feel like I don’t need to remember it as I’m going to move again in 3 months or so. At any rate, it was a rather neat school. There’s no fighting and gangs or stuff. And the library is big, so it was rather a blessing for me.

And so I decided to divulge myself in this for the time I have here. I might not get a good place like this. Reading is the best when no one bother you. And so, I messed up my entrance as transfer students and stayed low profile. I was a bit annoyed since the girl ratio in my class is higher than the boy’s.

I ignore everyone, and finally I got the peace I wanted. Without minding other, I started reading the book I had.

“HO! The new volume is out already?!”

Suddenly, I heard a girl screaming near my ears. I glanced and then I saw a girl behind me. She got long dark glossy hair and long eyelashes. I can say that ‘Beautiful Girl’ is the term suited for her. Of course, I’m not so rotten that every girl looks like bugs to me. I can tell the different and I’m wary of these kind of girls.

“Oh, I’m sorry. My name is Amane Shikure. What’s your name?”

She said to me, but I ignored her. Of course, I’m not stupid enough to hope for any development with her. Everything started from friend and then thing escalated. I hate that kind of thing the most. So of course, I ignored her. Cold hearted? So be it. If you get the gist of it, go away.

However, she didn’t go away. Instead, she started pulling everyone and introduced them to me. So in the end, I couldn’t read anything and I was forced to eat with their friends as well.

Tanaka Shinichi, Shizuku Amori, Tama Akari, Shinoi Iruko, Natsumi Hana, and Okamura Takushi – strangely, these are what I learned today from school. They were forced into me, though. I also got to know the famous twin.

A little of their awesome feat – it seems that before they came here. This school has a gang in it, but they came and reformed the school completely. Be it senior or junior, no one doesn’t know about them. They are respected and loved everywhere they goes. It sound suspicious to me, so I told myself that I will avoid them. However, that was too late at the moment I took my new book to read.

Amane Shikure and Amano Shikure are the twin that is famous in the school. Amane Shikure who is a friendly girl that everyone loved, she’s like a people magnet. Everywhere, she goes, people followed. And Amano Shikure that excels both in academic and sport. I feel like they are existence that came out of the story books or stuff.

Of course, I kept my distance and always search for place where I can read my book. And strangely, Amane always found me. And naturally, people floated in. That girl would run around the campus hearing news and helped people. It seems that I’m one of ‘The Lonely Guy who need Friend’ in her patient list. I give up, and I just go with the flow.

Before long I knew it, 3 months passed. And I’m getting ready to move again. However, that night change my life. I was summoned to a different world. I was surprise when I found that I was summoned with everyone in my class. Though, there was 3 people I didn’t know.

Shinon Iruko, Yamoto Ikuro, and Shu Shikure. I learned their name as such. Shinon Iruko is Shinobi’s elder sister and everyone know her as well. Yamoto is one of the previous gang, and he often came to challenge with Amano. He got beaten down every time though, but I quite admire him. He never did any dirty way to gain revenge, he came straight and challenge Amano. And without anyone tell, everyone can see that he admire Amano.

However, the last one is Shu Shikure. He’s Amano and Amane’s brother. I heard strange rumor around him from the school. Nobody have ever seen him in school. Even though, he’s 2 years older than his sisters. He never came to school. Since his existence is so mysterious, all sort of rumor floated around.

Of course all the rumor are related to his sisters as well. For example, Amano has won in kendo tournament for 3 consecutive times and remained a champion. She said that her brother used to train her from time to time. So rumor about him being a previous kendo’s champion or he can beat the kendo master came about.

It’s not strange to hope that he was some kind of great man when you heard many strange rumor about him. However, in reality, he turned out to be a NEET. I have no better word for him in my first impression. And he’s weak!

He got knocked out in a hit from the female knight. Everyone was dumbfounded. And then Shinon Senpai started laughing. It seems to me that she did that to lighten up the atmosphere. Her friendly and playful behavior seemed weird to me, but I was wrong. She is a pretty good at leading people. Settling thing with Shu. She went to talk with the princess with ease.

I was stunned alone as everyone seems to treat it as normal. And I knew that I am not in the right mind to do anything. Shinon-Senpai discussed with the princess and then came back to report us. We were given time to digest what’s going on.

We get roughly of what happened in this kingdom. There’re war going on in this land, and she summoned us to help. However, that wasn’t the reason. She wanted us to help in her faction as well. It was a power struggling in the palace, and the Princess Faction is losing. Since we’ll be practicing in this kingdom before we would enter the front line war, she wanted us to side with her.

I’m quite surprise how fast Shinon-Senpai gathered information. I first thought that maybe they were just information fed to us, but it turned out to be real.

The next day, we would be asked to join a lunch where Princess brought many people with political power to the conference. And so Shinon-Senpai asked us to side with her. Most of us declined and rejected that on the spot. We didn’t have much information in this world, and if we were to become the princess’s pawn. Then it wouldn’t be a normal joke.

Shinon-Senpai look at us and raised only one reason.

“What do you think Amane-chan will do? What do you think Amane-chan’s will say if you guy judge the princess even before you know her?”

When she said that, we all went silence. We were speechless. Of course, if it’s Amane, she would side with the princess without question. It’s not that she’s stupid, but she is just real smart when it comes to deal with people problem. And she would have all plan prepared even something were to go astray. That girl doesn’t fear of the outcome or consequences at all because she knew that all she has to do it confront and solve them. It’s really ridiculous, but that girl was able to pull it off.

‘If thing get too hard. Onii-chan will help me, and then I’ll let him pamper me!’

Everyone must have thought about the same thing as me. This is line that she loves to use. And so, the secret meeting of heroes came to an end. We decided to side with the princess. As we were closing, Tanaka remembered of the guy who is still sleeping.

Shinon-Senpai told us to leave it to her.

The next day come, and we came to know him as brother of our friends. And Yamoto caused some troubles. It seems that he’s mad because he couldn’t believe that man. I find it hard to believe too. However, we were all stunned because that man made Yamoto screamed for his life. His eyes and his atmosphere changed when Yamoto provoked him. It was the same when Amano get into serious mode.

Even though, he was in his serious mode, he got knocked out again by a single hit from the same female knight. What was her name again? Shifun? This girl must be strong.

He kept surprising us. Even in the conference, he became polite and talked with respect. His behavior might even be mistaken for a noble if I didn’t know him. However in the end where everyone choose side, he didn’t choose. He didn’t answer. Everyone was mad especially Tama.

And so after that everyone went away. We asked Shinon-Senpai of what’s going on. Why didn’t he agreed to the plan? She smiled softly and said while playing with a broken model in her hand.

“Kind Onii-chan didn’t want us to take the risk. As we’re his sisters friends. We’re his friend as well. He wouldn’t want to see take such huge risk.”

I was pissed off. Despite how he looks and dealt with things. He’s just a coward. I knew that feeling why Tama shouted at him now.

Since we decided to side with the princess. Shinon-senpai had a plan for heroes to make entrance. It was simple. To show off our abilities to the soldiers and mages in Princess Faction. If they know that they have gotten a team of strong people in their side. Wouldn’t that be an encouragement for them?

“GOT IT?!! It’s time to turn the table!!”

Saying that, she went off with Shinobi, Tama and Shizuku. Tanaka, Okamura and Natsumi also went to the training ground. I didn’t follow them and I went off to the library with the excuse that I’ll find the information of this world. However, I just wanted time alone for myself.

Looking at them from the mirror, I notice how different I am. Unlike them who knew each other for such a long time, I couldn’t fit in at all. Of course, it was because of Amane that I got no choice to stay with them. However, right now, she’s no longer here. I got no reason to stay with them. To be honest, I was really excited and happy when I got summoned.

I finally got away from my boring life to this new world. I finally got freedom. Why don’t I use it to the fullest? In this new world, strong rules. All I have to do is get strong.

I was delighted and then I started reading books in the library. I was really happy figuring out the system of this world and many things more.

Even my status is a cheat. People in this world has average status of 300 in every stats since I’m 2 times theirs Which mean I’m two time stronger than them. And I’m just level 1. If I level up, then I’ll be much stronger.

Suddenly, I heard the door opened. I glanced and I saw that man – Shu Shikure. And so my instinct that drive people away start. I mocked him and he deserved it. A coward who couldn’t even take the risk, I can’t stand him.

However, despite my effort. He’s seem fine. He’s holding a conversation with me without any problem. And then, he started mocking and teasing me back. This bastard is looking for trouble! He just called me Wiki-kun.

Of course, I kept cool and played it well. The first to lose his head is the first to lose. And this guy is an information leech. He kept asking me many things.

After talking for awhile, he went off and looked for his own book to read. I went back to read mine. While I was reading, suddenly he gave me a piece of paper.

I read it and I was pissed off. This guy challenge me to a book reading contest. I accept it, and then the system worked and helped to ensure the challenge. I was surprise to see that feature of the system. That bastard saw it and tried to back off. I didn’t let him.

In the end, I lost. It was unbelievable. He finished about 7 column of books when I couldn’t take it anymore. I felt dizzy and almost faint from over reading. However, he seem fine after all of that reading. What a monster.

I got even madder. This guy tricked me into this game of his and then he used his skill to cheat me. I lost and then I receive the punishment. I got a new title and –

Arrogant is affect by User’s attitude. The more it is, the user will be become ignorant of the surrounding that might exposed him to danger. Being arrogant and ignorant increase this stats, while being the opposite will decrease this stat.

Luck stat will be deducted from this stat.

If the stats has 100 or higher, each day, User will be affected by random status.

I was given a mockery stats. He even went away while laughing. I swore to have revenge on him. I tried to follow him, but then I was hit with a ‘Numb’ status immediately.

It took me about 30 minutes to finally go away. I was really pissed off beyond saying. I want to find and kick his ass. And then I started looking for him.

I couldn’t find him at the training ground. It was late and I started to get hungry. And so I went to the dining chamber, but while walking, I happened to find him. It seems that my 200 luck work better than his 0 luck.

And so I followed him. He was carrying the female knight, and he kept switching her from princess carry to backpack, and other absurd carry. I don’t know what he’s trying to do, but he seem happy. This bastard definitely is a pervert!

Walking together with a maid, they sometimes flirt. What’s wrong with them? While walking, they finally stopped. And then he started making move on the maid. Seriously?? Out in the open? This pervert is unforgivable! Wait, this is my chance. I’ll make him regret giving me the title and stats.

I was going to make my move, but then I was stunned at the scene. That guy is actually fighting against 8 people dress in black. With the reaction he showed, and their attempt. They are assassins. At that time, I suddenly froze. I didn’t know what to do and the fear of being killed rushed up to my throat.

What if they come to me? I couldn’t do anything, and then I hide. I kept hoping that their target isn’t me and after they killed him and other, they would left. This has nothing to do with me.

I kept watching the fight, and then Shu suddenly changed. Looking at his face, he changed into his serious mode – it was much worse. It was as if he got in berserk mode. And then one by one he swiftly deal with the assassins. I didn’t believe my eyes. Is he the same guy I know? I was doubting my eyes.

Suddenly, he gathered mana into a giant fire ball. It seems to be the end for those assassins. Looking at the fire ball, I felt that it might affect me as well when it explode. However, the fireball that was swirling suddenly changed color back to raw energy. Star light shone on him, and instantly magic circle spread on the ground.

“WHAT?!”

Below my feet, light shone brightly and I was swallow by the light.

I suddenly woke up from the pile of snow. Heavy snow storm is rushing and I couldn’t see anything. I instinctively shake, but it wasn’t really cold. My Ice core affinity must be the cause.

The storm is so thick, I can barely see anything. Oh it was my glass that got froze up. Firstly, how did I ended here in the first place? Then I remember the strange thing happened in the palace. It must be that light. Shu must have done something.

‘A closed space?’

I can’t even see the sky. However, I felt that it’s dark. Is he capable of creating closed space? Am I in his skill? What should I do?

I started walking in the snow while repeatedly wiping my glasses. There’s no exit. I couldn’t find or see anything. I started walking for a while, and then my stomach growl. Damn, I was going for the dinner. Why did I follow them in the first place? There’re assassins and then this. Damn! Why did I have to deserve this?

I started cursing and stumping hard on the snow. My feet sank in, and I felt even more irritated. Before long, I knew it, my legs gave up on me. It wasn’t that I was tired. I was struck with ‘Frozen’ status.

WHY?! My ice resistance and affinity should prevent any ice related negative buff. WHY?!

I couldn’t think of anything, and I tried hard to move.

“Defrost”

I cast ice magic on myself, but it didn’t work. The negative status didn’t go away. Why?! What’s going on?

What? Wasn’t it 100 point at first??! Why did it change to 216 points? Why does it increase so much? DAMN! I can’t move my legs, so does I have to stay put for an hour in this blizzard storm? Don’t underestimated me! I’m not gonna be tied down by this mere stats!

And then I tried bending down and moving with force, but they wouldn’t batch. I tried jumping, but I couldn’t do it either and then I fell down on the snow. I couldn’t get back up, and so I crawled. I crawled and crawled, one hand after another, I pulled myself.

Damn! Damn! Damn! I kept cursing Shu with all my heart as I has to go through this. I don’t deserve this. Why did I have to crawl like a dog in this storm?

Since I was slow, the snow started piling up my body and I had to shake them while moving. It got really heavy sometimes, and I couldn’t move my body. Before I knew it, I stopped moving.

I was tired and hungry. I didn’t want to crawl anymore. Somehow I felt sleepy. I can’t feel my limps anymore, and my eyes got heavy. It’s getting quiet. I don’t hear the sound of storm anymore – no, the storm is still here. I can’t hear anymore. My sense is getting dull and I’m losing my consciousness.

Such a heavy night, I suddenly remembered the same night back when I’m in Japan. That night, it was snowing and I was asked to deliver something to my father.

However, he wasn’t there. My father wasn’t there, instead the shark-loan were there. I was beaten because I didn’t give them the stuff my father ask of me, and I couldn’t resist. The funny thing was that, while I was beaten, my father jumped to cover me. He got hospitalized because of that, and then he apologized to me.

What a laughable man, to apologize to me of what happened. There’s no way I could ever forgive him. He’s an idiot that messed up in the family and caused more debt. He’s the one who robbed my out of my childhood.

When I came here in this new world, I thought that I might have a second chance, but I was wrong. Once again, a bastard robbed me out of my freedom. Shu Shikure, he put a curse on me, and he dragged me here.

I hate him, and I don’t want to be a loser. I haven’t done anything yet, and I’m going to die? NO! I want to win no matter what. I’m not gonna let other people look down on me. I’m taking back everything I lost.

I opened my eyes again and I started digging my way out of the snow. The storm has stopped, but it was still dark. I got myself out of the snow, and then I tried getting up. I can get up just fine, and it seem that the ‘Frozen’ status has gone. It’s should be done for a day, I don’t think I can get inflicted with another random status again.

I looked ahead of me, and found that I was in the wilderness. There’s endless field of snow around me, and I can’t see any star in the sky at all. Where am I? When I looked around, I found a big ice boulder behind me.

Hmm? When did this –

*Bam*

A loud sound tearing the air as I was swung away by that boulder.

I coughed out blood when I collided with the ground rolling many times. And then my whole body started aching everywhere. What the heck was that?

*Roar*

I turned and looked at the boulder before, but I couldn’t see it. What stood in its place was a giant ice golem. It has the entire body of solid ice, and the joints that connected between each parts are floating as if it’s magic. It started running toward me. With big and heavy steps, it run toward me with absurd speed.

“ARHhh!!”

I picked myself up and started running as well. However, it was really hard since my step sank in the snow as I walked. The golem is getting closer, and –

“How the hell it didn’t sink at all?”

Unlike my step that sank in the snow, that giant golem didn’t sink in at all. It got close to me, and then it slammed the ground hard.

“ArH!”

It missed me, but the impact sent my flying along with the snow. And then I started rolling downhill fast.

*Bam*

Like a rolling ball, I crushed into thin ice protruding out of the ground. After a while, I stopped rolling, and my HP was down to 30%. There’re cut everywhere on my body, and I feel my body bleeding badly.

*Roar*

The golem is charging this way when I looked at the uphill. Fear struck me immediately as I looked at the death in front of me. I don’t want to die yet.

“Light Heal”

I healed myself and promptly get up. I’m running away. Since the snow isn’t so deep, I was running in faster speed. However the golem is faster than me. It’s closing on me again.

“GO AWAY! ICE WALL”

I turned around and made a wall to stop the golem.

*Roar!!*

Taken as a provocation, the golem rushed in faster speed tempting to ram the wall. It broke the ice wall easily and I was swung away again. I rolled many times and landed on the ground. Blood kept gushing out from my mouth, and I almost choke on it.

‘Should I play death?’

*Roar*

However, it didn’t work. That golem is heading this way angrily. It was stupid to think that a monster would be kind enough to leave a dead body alone. Am I going to die at this rate?

Me, Death? In this world? Without having done anything yet? Am I a loser all along? Such thought made my body tremble. So there wasn’t any chance for me? All this second chance was just a joke? Tear accumulated in my eyes before I knew it. Is this over?

‘Wiki-kun. I’ll give you a unique stats for you and you only.’

I opened my wide as I remembered something. It was that guy voice. And then I remembered the time I lost to him. It was frustrated and painful. Even though, it was bitter, it wasn’t new for me. I have experienced it many times more than I can count. Why am I feeling it again at the time like this?

‘Wiki-kun. I’ll challenge you to a duel. Do you dare or not dare?’

I heard his voice again from my memory. Arh, I remembered now. Of all those times, this feeling is what keep me going.

‘I don’t want to lose. I don’t want to feel this again.’

I kept telling myself and that’s how I got to my feet again.

‘You have to remember. From on now, you’re known as Wiki-kun. I’m gonna keep calling you like that.’

Gritting my teeth, I forced myself back up. While staggering left and right, I glared at the golem with my blood shot eyes.

‘Every fucking people is trying to steal my stuff. That bastard steal my freedom. You think that I will give up my life before I can screw him up??’

Finally standing still, I gathered my energy and healed myself.

*Roar!*

“You think that I would stand still and let you steal something form me again!!”

That golem sped up as it got closer. With a loud scream, I rushed in as well.

*Swoosh*

That golem swung its giant hand, I dodged by slipping under it. And then I aimed at one of its feet. Unlike the giant hand it got, the feet were smaller and petite. I grabbed on to it, and then I cast the magic related to my class.

“Magic Drain!”

My whole body emitted pale pink energy as the magic which need me to be in contact with the target to be effective invoked. And then, I can feel that my energy is being restored. Of course, this magic is used to absorb the target magic power which mean that it’s pretty useless for me to beat it. However, I’m not aiming for that-

*Roar*

The monster screamed again and then I was sent flying when it caught me and throw me away. I got back up again and healed myself. The monster rushed to me again, but then it couldn’t held its balance and fell. Of course, it tries to get up, but it couldn’t as one of its feet fell off.

When I see that the feet fell off, I grinned.

“I thought that it was strange for a giant boulder of ice to come together, and the joint aren’t connected at all. Yet they stayed close to each other as if they were supported by something. It seems that magic was used to connect the parts together.”

I smiled again and then the monster came this way hopping.

“You chase and scared the shit of me. This time, I’m gonna pay it back everything!”

I rushed to it again. The golem slammed its hand down as I run straight for it.

*Bam*

The loud slamming sound was heard accompany by the smoke of snow raising. I dodged by jumping to the left right now is placing my hand on the golem hand.

“Magic Drain”

I sucked the magic in its hand again, and then *Thump*, the hand fell down. With its right foot and left hand gone, it collapsed as it couldn’t get back up anymore. I walked toward it and then I used the same magic on its remaining limps. Leaving behind only two part connected to each other – the head and the body.

*Roar*

Still roaring the golem that couldn’t move. I wondered how it can produce sound in the first place. I walked and then I climbed on top of the body. I looked down on it disgustingly. I can see the core in its body glowing in pale blue light. I used the same magic, but the core was still glowing. The magic in its body is being restore?

When I noticed that, I quickly use offensive magic to destroy the limps so that it wouldn’t connected each other again. After spending more mana than I thought, I simply use my magic to suck the mana in the golem. Still glowing, even if drained for about 5000 MP.

Looking at the head part which has a mouth and two eyes sockets, I felt anger rushing in me.

“You tried to steal my life away from me. So now, I’ll steal your life away. This is a natural thing in this world. Don’t blame me. ICE LANCE”

Intermediate Level ice magic which I can use, Ice Lance is a magic which lance made out of ice appeared and I can used it to skewer the target. I gripped hold the lance firmly and then I struck the head.

*Clang*

The lance broke, and the head part is dent. Seeing that, the golem seems to laughed. However, I ignored it and created another ice lance.

*Clang*

With all my might, I struck it down in the eyes sockets. It broke again, but I tried again. I didn’t stop at all since the light in its eyes are still glowing.

*Clang* *Clang* *Clang* *Clang* *Clang*....

When I exhausted my own MP, I suck it from the golem core. And then I started striking the golem head again. With a loud sound, the lance broke and I chipped off a part from the head.

‘DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!!’

I kept striking until there’s a crack on the head. However I didn’t stop. The anger and frustration is still swirling inside of me. I don’t know how many times that I used the ice lance. If the magic that I used wouldn’t disappear, perhaps I would create a mountain of broken lance by now.

“HAAAAH!!!!”

*Crumble* *Shatter*

The head shattered and broke off in tiny bits. The main body started disappeared as well as if it ran out of HP.

*Burst*

The main body burst and shatter into particles, and they were absorbed by me.

I finally did it. I finally kill it. I’m finally alive. Before I knew it, I broke into a laughter.

While laughing, I noticed something on the snow. It was a rock with special symbol on top of it. I picked it up and the –

With this stone, you can summon an Ice Golem to assist you in a fight. The level of the Ice Golem depend on the purity of the Stone. It will serve and protect you till it dies.

I was happy since I was able to find something that can act my meat shield. Keeping the stone in one of my pocket, I decided to go forward. I’ll get out of this place no matter what.

After walking for several hours, I came across a carrier. Someone who looks like merchant from game came out and greet me. In the carriers, I can see people chained and cuffed. So I can see that he’s a slave merchant.

At first, he was happy to find me who considered rare to have black hair. And so, he tried to enslave me. Several men that looks like his guards came to me. I was really mad that he want to steal freedom out of me. However, I realized that I’m in a wilderness and I needed help to escape from here. And so I place more importance on information.

I refused his offer, and then 4 guards came rushing toward me. I read all of their status, and I realized that they are small fry.

“Ice Restraint”

I cast that magic, and those guards stopped moving. If you looks at their status, you can see all of them having ‘Frozen’ status. ‘Ice Restraint’ is my class related magic spell which is different from ‘Ice Freeze’ that cause Frozen on a target with a specific percentages. My magic spells works on multiple targets as they got close to me enough.

Seeing this, the slave merchant trembles seeing me walking toward him. I didn’t intend to kill him, and instead I have him telling every about this place. And then I accompany him to the city together. Since it was difficult for me to enter the city as my hair and eyes are unique. I pretend to be his slaves.

I decided to part way with him, but then I heard about the underground arena in his place. I discussed about a plan and then he agreed.

It was simple. I’ll accept any challenges from those people. And then I received a portions of the entrance fee. It was my way to earn money and know the standard of this place more accurately.

Since I don’t want to use my real name, I decided to use an alias. When I was thinking of what alias should I put, I found something good when I checked my own status.

Walking up to the stage, I undone my hoods and showed my unique hair and eyes to the people.

I chose Wiki-kun because it was also my title. It should have been detestable name for me, but I chose it because it reminded me of the lost I had that day. And I got famous enough, that bastard will surely heard of me and then he will come to me. After all, my name is unique and only those from the otherworld would understand it. If he’s in this land, then I’ll have my revenge on him.

When I was saying that, a girl suddenly jumped from the VIP room, and dashed here by stepping on people’s heads. Showing off?!

The girl called Kasalin looked surprise at the Duel Notice. And then she smiled looking interested.

“FINE! I’ll accept this challenge!”

“I’ll accept the challenge”

The girl answered and I followed.

“You’re very unlucky.”

“Hou~ Why do you say so?”

“You’re facing me as an opponent, that’s why.”

“Hahahaha~ You are interesting. So now shall we fight?”

“I’m ready at any time. So how about you start first? I’m giving you a handicap. If you manage to hit me in 3 moves, then I’ll admit lost.”

I provoke her, but she seems indifferent. Still looking at me with interest, she smiled cheerfully.

“That’s generous of you. But wouldn’t that end quickly? If you lose fast, it wouldn’t be fun, you know?”

This time I laughed.

“Rest Assure, come!”

She took her stance, and then she dashed toward me. A frontal assault? It’s a good choice, but too bad, you just lose the first move.

“Ice Restraint”

The nimble Kasalin dashed fast and launched her sword, but she come to stop immediately. She opened her eyes wide, but 3 seconds later, she freed herself of the spell and jumped back.

It seemed that I wasn’t able to put her in ‘Frozen’ state. However, the startle looks didn’t vanish yet.

“Interesting!! Ice sword!”

Suddenly, 6 swords made of ice appeared behind her hovering in steady speed. Followed her hand movement, those sword pointed at me, and they flew toward me.

Magic attack on the second try? Good. However, too bad that she didn’t know my class. To use magic against Magic manipulator, I feel like I would laugh.

I raised my hand toward the up-coming swords, and then I poured my mana in my palm.

“Magic Invade”

As I invoke that spell, I directed my attention toward all those swords, and then energy from my hand flew toward them in greater speed. Of course, people would think that it was futile effort that I tried to knocked those sword away.

Seeping and coating the magic ice sword, my energy ran through all of them and cut tied the energy from Kasalin. Those swords came to a halt before they could touch me. And then I followed her hand movement controlling the sword with ease.

“You took control of my sword?! HOW?”

“That’s your second try! You got one last try.”

“You’re getting more and more interesting! Ice Sword!”

Suddenly, a big sword appeared in front of her. Another magic attack, didn’t she learn? Unlike before, she grabbed it and then threw it toward me. So it wasn’t a magic attack. She’s smart. If it isn’t magical attack, then I wouldn’t be able to invade. However –

“Light shield”

*Clang*

The sword bounced off the light shield I put in front of me. There goes her last try. Hahaaha, what a futile effort.

“Beautiful color”

Contrary to what I expect her to feel, she looked the dazzling shield in awe. Well, I understand her feeling since people in this place have only core affinity with ice. So seeing a different element is really a surprise to them.

“Hey! Hey! What’s that? What do you call that??! My sword just bounced off as if it was nothing”

Like a child, she asked me that question. I slightly frowned at her behavior. Why is she so carefree?

“We’re in the middle of battle, you know? I can’t answer that.”

“I see, Then I’m sorry. It seems that my 3 tries is over now, so let’s started the real fighting.”

She took a battle stance and her atmosphere changed to a serious one. However, she is still smiling.

“What?”

“I thought of what I want you to do when I win.”

“I see. But that’s sad for you. Kasalin, was it? I’ll be taking the offense now.”

‘Ice Lance’

I thought of it and a lance appeared in my hand. Throwing to the girl, she deflected it beautifully. And then she rushed toward me. She was startled when I ran toward her as well.

I smiled as she got into my range.

“Ice Restraint”

I thought that I had her, but she jumped back immediately. I was surprise that she could back jump that fast.

“I see. So it’s about that close huh? Your magic sure is strange”

This girl, she is learning my move and skill. This girl is sharper than I thought. I can’t prolong this, I have to end it now.

“Ice wall”

I touched the ground and wall of ice appeared surrounding us. With this, I restraint the space so she wouldn’t be able to jump around.

“Ice ball”

20 balls of ice float above me and they started shooting toward her. With her quick movements, she cut and deflected those ball with ease. However, she didn’t noticed the threat I gave her.

The ice balls were just a distraction while I’m pouring my mana into the ground. It was a move that I created in order to deal with that bastard. However, I see no different if I were to practice beforehand.

When I felt that my preparation is ready, I smiled and laughed.

“It’s over!”

The girl’s expression tighten when she heard that. Feeling that I might be doing something big, she dashed off directly toward me to finish me. However, it was too slow. My preparation is far ready.

“Ice Cage : Frozen Lotus”

A magic circle glow beneath her feet and she came to a stop. And then suddenly, ice vine grabbed ahold of her body one by one. And then burst forth from the ground, a giant ice lotus stood strong while in the center lied Kasalin who is being restraint by it.

“Kuh, I can’t get away!”

“Hahah~ Tried all you want, but its futile. You won’t be able to break it. This magic circle is created to fight against that man. You won’t be able to do anything. Now, conceit.”

Right now, she has a bitter face.

“It seems that I can’t win unless I go all out huh?”

She said while smiling again. And then, I could energy brimming within her.

“Since you showed me your awesome attack, I’m gonna show mine! Ancient Lost Art : Crystal Maiden!”

Suddenly, her whole body was covered in dark blue energy which I never see before. I tried using invade, but I couldn’t control her energy at all. It felt as if they reject me who’s a magic manipulator.

*Raahhh!!*

She broke of the restraint of the ice lotus, and I could see her whole body clad in ice armor. The crystal clear helm that she put on has godly dignity in it, and while two swords in both hands, she looked just like a Valkyrie from story.

She cut the ice lotus in a split second, and fell down gracefully to the ground. Without any sound, she touched the ground as if she wasn’t heavy.

“I can’t control this form for long, so let’s finish this”

She said while pointing her sword toward me. However, my face remained unchanged. She seemed to forget something important. Suddenly the ice vine grabbed her again and another lotus kept her in place. She broke free and cut it down again, but the lotus kept coming back.

“What’s with this?! Why won’t it end?”

She shouted while fighting against my restraint magic. If she think that it was a simple trap, then she is wrong. No matter how strong the opponent, my magic is self-sustained which the magic circle give its energy. Which mean my lotus won’t stop spouting unless the magic circle ran out.

I smiled and laughed when I saw the Kasalin’s armor disappeared. It seems that she reached her limit. Still restraint by the lotus, I walked close to her and looked at her face.

“This is my win. Conceit”

“No, it’s not over yet!”

She still struggled, how the lotus won’t budge at all. I don’t intend to keep this any longer, so I decided to make her faint with magic.

“Farewell, Kasalin – ”

Suddenly, I fell down to my knee and my vision got dizzy.

Heh? What’s going on?! This suddenness and unpredictable. Don’t tell me!

With all my strength, I crawled toward the lotus. However, unable to endure anymore, I fell asleep. And thus, I lost the match.
