Let’s talk about this situation a little bit. The moment, Eluciquilibella was about to lift her skirt, I suddenly felt bloodlust from behind her. Eluciquilibella whispered to me. She seems to notice it too, but I was really surprise. Since I could only sense two of them, she was able to sense 8 of them. And more importantly, she said that she smell blood. If that’s so, then it spell trouble.

Energy seeped from me and form transparent dome-like shield covering Bell and Shifun-chan.

Suddenly the sound of metal colliding was heard again behind me. It was the result of knifes bouncing off my light shield. Hearing that, I feel chill running my spine. If I had put the light shield any second later, those two girls would have been stabbed by those knifes.

Like I thought, this is more dangerous than I imagine. However, I have already made my mind. I’ll protect Bell. Onii-chan will protect Bell. I stepped on Shifun-chan’s sword, and then I kicked it up. I swiftly grabbed it and pull it out of the sheath.

“Light Trinket”

Light particle seep out of me, and float in the air. Since it was dark and I can’t see clearly. I’ll need light that can’t be put out. Of course, I could have used fire trinket that can light up more space. However, unlike light trinket that last for long time, fire Trinket last for a very short time, and the red particle will die out.

As the light particle slowly spread out, something glint in the dark. And then illuminated by the moon light, numerous shining object flew toward me. Without sound, they flew in a straight arcs targeting all of my vital points. My P.I.C.S kicks in and captured that image.

‘Analysis’

I thought and then distance between each knife was being calculated marking them as waves of attack and their trajectory.

“Shu-Onii-sama!!”

Bell is screaming behind me inside the light shield. I smiled wryly as I remember what she told me.

‘Shu-Onii-sama. Please take this girl and run away. I’ll cover your back’

She whispered to me. I was thinking about abandoned Shifun-chan and ran with her. However, this girl was thinking about protecting me and shifun-chan while buying us time to escape. She was lightly trembling at her word, and you could tell that she is scared. Despite having level at 12 as a magician, she was trying to face against 8 assassins alone.

What she was trying to do is considered correct rationally. A level 1 shouldn’t – no, couldn’t face 8 assassins by himself. More importantly, he’s a hero. If he died early, then what was the point of summoning?

‘However, it’s not about doing correct. It’s about doing what you’re feel right.’

This phrase suddenly float up in my mind. And I thank Tama-chan who reminded me of this in this afternoon.

So let’s me ask you a question. Can you allow that to happen? As an Onii-chan, can you allow that? Can you stand and watch your sister going to face 8 assassins alone while letting you escape? If so, then check your humanity again. For me, I could never let her face off such danger alone. I couldn’t even run away while letting her buying time for me. Then the answer is clear, STAY AND FIGHT!

I pressed my left foot a bit forward taking defensive stance, and then I tightened the grip on my sword raising it high. My mind had already calculated the 16 waves of knifes flying toward me. Each wave target 4 different vital point, and every 4 wave, the vital point overlap as if those assassin were to make sure that they wouldn’t miss their target even if I manage the dodge some of them.

My hand swiftly move and I can reaction faster than those knifes. My 715 agility isn’t just for show!

Fourth! Fifth! Sixth! Seventh! Eighth! Nineth! Tenth! Eleventh! Twelfth! Thirteenth! Fourteenth! Fifteenth! SIXTEENTH!!

Barrage of my attack stopped and all of the knives were successfully blocked and deflected. Numerous knives stuck in the ground deep in front of me in row neatly as if they were nailed. First defensive form of ‘Single Sword Style : Rain Curtain’ is a series of fast downswing that knocked down everything as if it was a heavy rain. So of course, even if rain of arrows were to come to me, all will be taken down as if they came contact with a wall – the rain curtain.

*Phew*

I let out a breath and gather my energy.

“Flame chaser!”

My feet suddenly lit up in bright light, and then 8 line of fire run toward corner of each dark area. When I analyze those knives course and speed, I also knew where they were coming from. And so I choose to Flame Chaser to know who they really are

Suddenly, those line of fire stopped in front of 5 figures. And then circles of flame appeared on their feet and hand. It was the effect of Flame Chaser that mark the target after it trace them. I quickly focus my energy and use Read status on them. All of them are at level 35.

One thing I can say about them is Black. Dressed in completely black like crow with beaming red eyes, the eerie aura emitted from them is scary enough to make all my hair stand up. The more I look at them, the more pressure I felt. It’s like looking at the grim reaper. They all wear animal mask. This remind me of the special ops in Narxto.

WAIT! There’s only 5 of them! – ?!!!!

As I was thinking where the rest of them, the remaining line of fire flickered and they turned back immediately toward me. Damn, a direct charge – ?

“Too slow~”

When I came to it, it was too late. From my left side, right side, and above me, I felt icy cold gaze that spell death.

*Pierce* *Blood Splash*

“SHU-ONII-SAMA!!”

Bell shouted as hard as she could. I can see that my blood splash on her face, and the horror look on her face.

I gritted my teeth that was biting to the knife that was coming from the assassin above me. My left hand guard another knife with the gauntlet. However, my right arm which held the sword couldn’t guard against the knife. It pierced my arm and my blood splash everywhere.

There’s poison in the blade? I feel my hand going numb.

“He guard it? Damn! NOW!! Finish him quick! He’s abnormal!”

The assassin above me give order as he couldn’t finish me off. And then those 5 assassins that were standing by move in different direction. I can’t see them, but I can sense them. So it is the effect of Flame Chaser? The 3 assassins that attacked me took out another knife and those 5 assassins moved in. At this rate, I’m going to be screwed to death.

I can put the light shield that could protect myself, but then I would have to cancel the light shield that is protecting Bell. I can’t do that at all. By chance that I put the shield on myself and they changed their target, then Bell would be in danger.

“SHU-ONII-SAMA!! LIGHT SHIELD!”

‘Bell?’

Suddenly transparent light surround me.

However all of them got knocked back after shattered it.

“KYAA!”

Bell shouted as the light shield broke. While putting this shield, if the user receive damage that pass the defensive values, the shield is broken immediately, and the user also receive backlash damage. Bell cough out blood from the backlash, and fainted. she receive 500 damage from it. Her HP and Level is too low, she’ll die if she take an attack from them. Will she be alright? Is she going to – ?

I shake that idea off and looked closely at my enemy. There’s Rabbit mask, Cow mask, Tiger mask, Horse mask, Snake mask, Goat mask, Monkey mask, and Dragon mask. Amongst them, only Dragon mask has a tint of silver. He’s seem to the leader.

Pulling off the knife that was stuck in my arm, I took a deep breath and then I said something softly to sleeping Bell.

Changing Perspective --- Assassin (Dragon Mask)

I don’t have a name. I don’t know who my parent is, but I know that I am a slave. I was told that my parent are dead when I was born. A kind aunt was taking care of me teaching me various things she knew before she became a slave. Her nams is Sia, and she name me Aja meaning dragon.

At that time, there’s also 2 other kids like me whose parent are dead. They too didn’t have a name. Aunt Sia also took care of them. It wasn’t long that we become friends and then close like sibling. My new sibling is Gosa meaning Rabbit and Bagha meaning tiger.

2 years later, we were sold to someone. We were separated from Aunt Sia. Our new master own an arena, and people fight in it. We were taught to fight since we were young. We were struggling hard, and then I meet new friend – Sampa meaning snake, Banda meaning monkey, Ghora meaning horse, Gaya meaning cow and Bakara meaning goat.

5 years, we trained together and survived together. And then, one day a group of assassin came to destroy the arena. Our master was dead. Most people are dead. We were fighting for our life. The leader of the assassin noticed us and then he tested us.

“If you want to live, then kill. If you want your brothers and sisters to live then kill. Kill 8 of us and fill that place with yourself. That’s your only way.”

I accepted and we all survived. I killed 8 assassin, and then they took us in to fill those missing place. We were trained hard to kill and assassin people. We never miss out any mission.

On one mission, we were tasked to kill a slave merchant on the way to the city. At that time, we found a young boy, a young girl, and 2 babies. They were hugging each other feeling afraid. And so, I took them in. we took in and they became our sibling as well.

I remembered the tale Aunt Sia told me about the 12 beasts. And so, we give them new name. Cuha the rat, Kutta the dog, Murga the chicken and Suara the pig. And with this, we create a family of our own just like the 12 divine beasts that live in harmony. I truly wish that we can live this moment forever, but I knew too well that we are Assassins. And our lives is like a candle that can be put out easily. During mission, I witness many of my coworker die a horrible death. However, that wouldn’t stop me. For my sibling, I need to do this job.

I have already made my resolve that I will protect my family. And then one day, we receive a new mission. When I was told, I was really scared. A mission to kill a head guard of the Princess Mariona. Killing a subordinator of a royalty, I can’t imagine the outcome if I failed. My family might be in danger as well. However, I can’t deny the offer. If so, then the assassin guild will target my family.

When I got the information about the head guard, I was a bit relieved. Her level and swordsmanship isn’t too high. We have a chance. We might survive. However, I didn’t expect to meet a monster.

8 of us came because we were worried about each other. All of us wear mask that represent our name and we used the animal name to call each other. That way, our identity wouldn’t be exposed easily. We took care of all the guard around our target’s room. And then we wait for her.

“Dragon – three people coming. Target”

Snake spoke to me, and then I noticed that our target was arriving as well. However, she was already faint. There a guy who’s carrying her and a maid. If she’s already faint then this would be simple.

I gave hand signal to Rabbit and Snake to get ready. Those girls’ skill in throwing knives are the best. We have already coated the knives in poison, so as long as we hit the target, she will surely die. And then we’ll escape.

Snake and Rabbit is staring at that man. He seems to be flirting with the maid. That guy isn’t really good looking, but the maid seems to be clingy to him. She stood in front of him and then she is trying to lift her skirt. What’s going on here? And then that man came to embrace the maid.

Cow beside me has already panting from watching them, and he kept murmuring ‘Are they gonna do it? Are they gonna do it?’

Suddenly, that maid moaned. Cow was almost at the brink of going insane. Rabbit was blushing red, and Snake seems to watch it with interest. Horse and Goat are betting who’s going to come first. Tiger and monkey seems to be not interested.

I carefully watch them as I feel something amiss. Suddenly, that man grinned looking this way. I grabbed the knives I had and threw them immediately. Surprising, he deflected all of them with the gauntlet in his hand. Rabbit and Snake then focus on the target and threw their knives.

He pulled the maid to his back and cast a spell. He is a magician! That fact brought back our alertness. Everyone’s expression turned serious and knives all in hands. He took out a sword and chant another spell. Light trinket slightly lit up the place. Is he trying to search for us? I raise my hand, and then everyone took ready.

His eyes wandered left and right trying to locate our location. However, I won’t let him. Dropping my hand, everyone understood the signal and let loose the knives in my hand toward him.

64 knives flew toward him in different trajectory. This move was developed to kill a level 45 mercenary before and it is our trump card. That man is unlucky, but we don’t intend to stay here any longer. The longer we stay here, the more dangerous it become. So we’ll have to finish it in one go.

However, the next thing we witness is truly beyond absurd. Monkey even dropped his jaw looking at that scene. All of the 64 knifes were knocked down – no, nailed to the floor. Not a single one pass him, and he stood there unscratched.

He isn’t just a magician! He’s a magic knight! And his swordsmanship is strong. To take out all of our attack like that, my guess is that he’s an agility type knight. However, all he use is light element which is supportive magic. So we should be fine regarding his magic. This guy must be finished before he tried anything funny.

He took a deep breath, and then I gave signal to Rabbit and Tiger. I raise 3 of my fingers and I pointed at the throat. They nodded in understanding. And I give signal to other to show themselves as a distraction. He shouldn’t know that there’s 8 of us.

He pointed his sword toward us, and then he cast another spell of a different element. He cast flame chaser and then it run toward us. There’s 8 line! Did he noticed us?! I signaled for Rabbit and Tiger to move immediately. 3 of us used ‘back stab’ a special talent that god gave us. With this talent, no matter how far is the target, we’ll appear right behind them or their unexpected side.

Rabbit and Tiger disappeared. And so I used it as well. A second later, I appeared above of him, Tiger at his left side, and Rabbit at his right side. He seems to notice that 3 of us were missing, but it was too late for him.

“Too late~”

3 of us struck simultaneously with our knife to his neck. Even with his quick agility, he would be best able to block Rabbit and Tiger. Thinking so, I struck with all my might.

*Pierce* *Blood splash*

“SHU-ONII-SAMA!!”

When I heard, I felt relieve at first, but I wouldn’t be able to believe my eyes now. He blocked Tiger’s knife with his gauntlet, Rabbit’s knife with his arm, and more importantly, he blocked my knife by biting into it. What strength! I can feel my knife shattering from his teeth pressure. However, that wasn’t what I was afraid. He didn’t even looking any of us. He was glancing at the maid behind him. And slowly, his eyes turned to me. Just for a fraction of second, I felt tremendous bloodlust.

“He guard it? Damn! NOW!! Finish him quick! He’s abnormal!”

I shouted, and then other 5 moves in according to my command and strike him. We have to finish him fast, 3 of us already have him in place. He wouldn’t be able to move his hand or casting any spell. This is the chance!

“SHU-ONII-SAMA!! LIGHT SHIELD!”

The maid behind him cast a protective layer of shield to protect him. 5 of my sibling crashed hard and shattered the shield, but we all were blown away.

“Damn, we’re getting nowhere if there’s two of them supporting each other.”

Tiger scold.

“Why is he still standing after that? The poison should have kicked in already!”

Rabbit said while checking her knife.

“Calm down, Rabbit. Snake. What’s his status?”

I call to Snake who has the ability to see through class, HP and MP of opponent she focus on long enough.

“Tamer, Level 1. High HP. Still 70% left. Other can’t see”

Snake said while gritting her own teeth. Level 1? It was too absurd! Snake must have found it hard to believe.

“Tamer? He just use Light magic and Fire magic!”

Tiger scold again.

“Maybe it’s item. He seem to be wearing something nice. Dragon, after we kill him, can I have the equipment?”

The Monkey said while scanning through him.

“Remember the mission. Not a life must be spared. You can do whatever you want later. Monkey”

“Gladly”

“Be wary, he might hide his status. Tiger, Rabbit. We’ll take that guy on. The rest kill the target.”

Like wind, he disappeared from he was standing and came to between me and Snake.

“Arh!”

With a swung, Snake crashed into the wall. And her HP plummet to critical area. No one was able to react at that time at all, while spinning in mid-air, he swung again toward me. I draw my knife immediately, but then the blow shatter my knife and shoulder guard completely.

*Crack*

I can feel my own shoulder being crushing from his attack. And his gleaming is like that of a hungry beast. I shuddered when he looked me straight in the eyes.

“How dare you!!”

Tiger appeared behind him through the use of ‘Back Stab’. Tiger struck all his might, but then he stopped midway coughing blood. Looking closely, I can see that his abdomen was kicked hard. That Tamer let go of the sword that struck in my shoulder and attempt to make another flip aiming at Tiger's head. With another kick to the head, Tiger will die. I can’t let that happen.

“RAHH!!”

I tired to move him out of the way, but the he changed his movement in the mid-air again kicking both me and Tiger away. Tiger is in critical state, and half of my HP was gone.

““Take this!!!””

Horse and Goat shouted while they were targeting the protective space made to protect the maid and our target.

*Clang*

Their attack bounced off as if hitting metal. And then that guy appeared behind them again even faster than my ‘Back Stab’.

*Pierce*

Taking the knife nailed hard in the ground, he struck both Horse and Goat in the stomach.

“Electric Discharge”

Yellow energy forming into electric struck both of them, and they fell to the ground with a thud. Their HP is slowly decreasing from the poison, and they were struck with many status.

“Horse!!! Goat!!!”

Monkey and Cow filled with rage charged straight toward him. However, that guy appeared in front of them grabbing their face slamming them hard to the ground.

“Froze Touch, Ice Wall”

Cyanic energy seeped from them and sent out cold chilling sensation. Light magic, Fire magic, Lightning magic, and ice magic? A level 1 tamer? He’s freaking stronger than level 50 5th-Tiers Mage!

“DAMN YOU. I’LL KILL YOU! Float!”

Rabbit said while chanting wind magic. This magic boost her speed greatly, even I couldn’t outmatch her. However, he was keeping up to her. Rabbit exchanged blows with him, but all of them were avoided.

While they were fighting, I noticed that there are blue light swimming about. Those are Water Trinket!

“Rising Tide”

Swirling water energy rose up like a dragon devouring Rabbit. Her HP is decreasing fast. I picked up my wounded body and ‘Back Stab’ her. I appeared close to her and dragged her out of the water vortex.

“*Cough* *Cough* Dragon?”

“Retreat. Take everyone and retreat. Don’t look back!”

“Running away? Lightning Arrow”

He raised his hand, and then 50 arrows or so appeared swirling fast. Without waiting, they charged toward me with insane speed. I hugged Rabbit close intended to cover all of the arrows.

“Earth Wall!”

Snake got up form debris and form a wall behind me.

The wall was destroyed completely and several arrow struck my back. My HP is in critical state and I can’t move my body.

“You tried to kill my sister. All of you die!”

He raised his hand up and then red energy gather above him. It was really big and I feel the heat from here. Crying, Rabbit look at me.

“Dragon”

“I’m sorry. Rabbit. Snake too. I’m sorry. I lead everyone to this.”

“No matter what, no one blame you. We’re lucky to meet you. Dying with you is just one of our wish”

Rabbit said to me and other nodded as well. I then thought of a wish I had. If possible, I want 12 of us to be sibling again. And then the massive energy burst enveloping all of us.
