The orb, which seems to have been made out of something like glass, shattered into multiple pieces. Everyone just started at the pieces of glass like material on the floor, including the professors, and even my parents. It seems that this event has filled my mother’s emotion with confusion instead of sadness, which was a good thing.

“What just happened?”, asked the male professor.

“I don't really know, there were no signs of the orb overloading and malfunctioning until just now, but the only conclusion I can come up with is that the orb was not able to last much longer, even though it was pretty new.”, answered the female professor. As I was the last one in line, they did not need to rush and get a new orb to keep the line from going into chaos. The male professor looked at me.

“Come here for a second, boy.”, and so I walk over.

“Can I get your name?”

“Keith Von Kingsworth sir.”, this gave him a surprised look. And I can tell why. If I was just another random person, they can just stop the examination here and ignore me. But as a noble, and a high ranking one at, he had to make sure that I did the examination.

The professor started to around, until he spotted my parents, then walked over and knelt politely, apologizing for the inconvenience. I went over to listen to them.

“My dearest apologies, in a day from now, we will be escorting the succeeded children to their respective academy. Although I do not know about your son’s affinity, I will also be talking as well nonetheless, and proceed with another test using a permanent examination tool, if that is fine with you.”, my parents, looked at each other, looked at me, and agreed with the professor.

“Then he will be in your care.”, said my father.

“It is my honor.”

The day has past and I meet up with the others to where we will be escorted, Luna, Casey, and even Riley. Usually for the physical combat academy, you would have to go to academy yourself and get tested since that school does not travel around the country to test children, unlike the magic combat academy. But because of his high affinity to enhancement magic, the two professors made an exception to escort him themselves to the physical combat academy. The professors arrive with a large carriage, and we hope on.

“You know, im alot more curious about what affinity you will have Keith, or even if you will have one. It's pretty rare for them to escort someone who accidently failed the test just to have them retake the test.”, this made me smile, since she and the others were oblivious to my status, and I planned to keep it that way for now.

“You should speak more respectfully to him, miss, you are talking to none other then Keith Von Kingsworth, nephew of the King himself, and son of Duke Arthur, the one and only hero of the last great dark war, and Lady Malinda, whom was the greatest mage of the time and fought as Arthur’s greatest partner.”, well shit, so much for a concealed identity. The professor spoke as though he was a huge fan of my parents. I never knew my parents were heroes, as a matter of fact, I didn't even know that they knew combat, seems that I was kept in the dark. The three kids looking at me with the largest eyes in the world, could probably go for a world record, their eyeballs were literally bulging out of their sockets, it was extremely displeasing to see and also frightened me that what if the eyes literally fall out and start to hang down from their faces.

“Keith, your a noble?”, shouted Riley.

“I guess so”

“Why did you not say so?”

“You never asked”, Riley glared at me when I said this.

“I have always wanted to meet Hero Arthur, it was a life goal of mines to touch him.”, this sounded a bit weird but I let it go. All of them relaxed after I was forced to explain many things.

“Wow, well that explains why they escorted you without even succeeding the test.”, said Luna.

“Indeed, this time however we will be conducting the test with the highest grade tool, basically indestructible.”, the professor butted into the conversation.

“I see”, the academy was in view now, I was getting nervous for one reason, what if the orb breaking was not because of the orb dying out, but something else.
