After Agarthala left, Pragna took out the two books from his dimension ring.

One book has no title, so opened he opened it to see its contents. The book told about different stages a being can reach in terms of power in battlefront. Pragna unknowingly smiled when he saw it. Before he came to the library, he tried to figure out what half immortality meant. No matter how he tried he could only gain superficial understanding about it. But now when he is not looking for it, here it is, in his hands!

He started reading the book and it described as follows,

In battlefront, power is the ultimate dream of every creature!

Power for not to be controlled, power for freedom, power for absolute authority!

To gain this power every creature has to cross minimum five stages.

1) Mortal stage- This is from where almost all creatures will start their pursuit for strength. In this stage death is a certainty by aging. All creatures are bound by the elementals in those realms. A creature can be a king of its species at this stage, but it can still be killed by a storm.

2) Transition stage- This is from where, one has taken their first step towards strength. All the creatures in this stage are all called pseudo-immortals. To cross mortal stage and to enter this stage, every creature has to pass tribulations. Tribulations come in many forms. For example a sculptor may come across a stone which will break if he even uses one wrong stroke. He will either make a master-piece or will fail the tribulations, and never ascend from mortal realm. Every creature will face a tribulation in the form of ultimate challenge in the field it excels in.

After reaching this level, the elementals grip on the creature will loosen up. Though the creatures in this stage do not die due to aging, they are still bound by many restrictions.

3) Immortal stage- Truly transcended the mortal limits. You are no longer bound to the elementals. Only way to reach this stage is to sense the essence of the universe. The mana is a blessing given to mortal realms so that creatures can ascend. But that is not the true fundamental building block of the nature. Everything is made up of, essence of universe. Only by sensing it and making it a part of it yourself, will one become an immortal.

4) Divine soul stage- To reach this stage one has to strengthen one’s soul to an astonishing level or one has to have higher understanding of laws of nature. By doing so one can create their own domain. In this domain laws of nature bend as per your wishes. To bend the rules as they wish, one has to have greater understanding of the laws of nature.

5) Primordial stage. To reach this stage you need to survive in the void! By quenching your body and soul in the void, you have are now at the top of food chain in battlefront. Only your fellow primordials can hurt you.

As he read Pragna got a better understanding where he stood in the hierarchy of power. He also understood why the data displayed by the window status is limited. It seems it cannot display everything till he gains that or gains better understanding of it. Which means only one thing, he has to take complete advantage of the library and read as many books as possible.

But one part bothered him, tribulations!

He successfully ascended into a half-immortal, yet he did not face any tribulations! Pragna searched the tribulation section, to find anything similar to his case. But not much accurate information is provided in it. He knew that he has to find this information somewhere else.

He further read the book and found that this book also has basic description of different levels of weapons,

Weapons are categorised into mortal, immortal and divine weapons.

To use mortal weapons you need to use mana.

To use immortal weapons you need to use essence of universe.

To use divine weapons you need to use your soul and laws of nature.

There is one more category of weapons. Soul weapons. When a weapon gains a consciousness it will become a soul weapon. It does not matter what stage that weapon is in, mortal, immortal or divine category, but once it gains consciousness, it will become one of most precious weapons in the battlefront! Even primordials crave for soul weapons.

A soul weapon has the following unique features:

1) These weapons once make a contract with you, though it will still keep its consciousness it will become a part of you. Which means it will never betray you!

2) With other weapons you have to be the one who learns new techniques and use them with it. But with soul weapons even the weapon will be learning! Not just that, it will evolve and change along with the owner.

3) In battlefront there are some attributes that are very hard to achieve. If you make a contract with the soul weapon, you will also gain the attributes of the weapon!

4) Unlike the other weapons, it is very hard to destroy a soul weapon. As long as user is alive, if even a tiny fragment of it is left intact, it will regenerate to its full form!

As he read this part Pragna, it confirmed his previous doubts! He is right about his assumptions that he gained death attribute after making the contract with soul weapon.

As he thought about it, he remembered about his weapon. During his journey to Agarthala, he tried to communicate with the weapon, but all he got was a weak response. It seems he needs to find a way to awaken the weapon. He really wants to see what a soul weapon can do!

Then he came to the last chapter of the book, and this section is called Grimoire.

As experts gain enlightenment they record that enlightenment in an object. These objects can be anything. For example a hand to hand combat expert may record his enlightenment in the bag he punched for many years without a break!

These grimoires help understanding the laws of nature much faster!

Pragna after reading this book he got a rough understanding on how things work in battlefront.

Then he looked at the other book.

Its title read as, encyclopaedia of fire. He started reading the book.

The flames were divided into mortal fires, immortal fires and primal fires.

Mortal fires are something that can be found anywhere. They are fires that exist at different temperatures.

Immortal fires are something that exists in immortal realms and rest of higher realms. One key difference from mortal fire is that these flames can affect the soul.

Primal fires are a very resource and usually found in very remote and dangerous locations.

Pragna found one part a bit weird. He thought a category with a name divine fire or something similar to it will exist in this book. But none existed. He thought maybe there is a qualitative leap from immortal to primal fires.

After checking the summary of each category, he understood that mortal fires are useless to him. Since he already ascended, he can already create fires of different temperatures. So he decided to skip it.

He directly went to the immortal fire section. There were so many that he is actually surprised by the list.

Thunder- Highly condensed fire that can kill a mortal and even slightly hurt an immortal’s soul.

Venom fire- A fire that looks like a fume. Extremely poisonous!

And like this, there were so many of them.

Pragna searched for nether cold flames and healing flames description.

Both of them came under immortal section. It did not give new information about them. Sadly in the book there is no ranking of flames, only name of the fire is mentioned and its few specific characteristics.

But Pragna did not get depressed instead he felt little bit happy, because now at least he knew under what sections he should search for this fires.

As he browsed through the book, some type of fires piqued his interest. He noted them for further search.

After going through the immortal section, he came to Primal fire section.

There were very only two known primal fires. Red thunder and planet gorging fire.

Red thunder is powerful enough to seriously damage a primordial’s soul!

Planet gorging fire can burn almost any physical entity!

After he read this book, he started thinking about what he read.

Pragna got an understanding on how this fires are ranked. But he decided to do further research. If he is going to wish for a fire he will definitely wish for a most powerful primal fire!

Though it may kill others if they try to absorb fire that is more powerful than them, but in his case every type of fire is nourishment to him!

With this both books now he knows in what direction he should search for further information.

He checked the time and it is not even midnight. He has no need for sleep. He decided to spend rest of the time meditating.
