《Battlefront》36-consquences

After meeting the Agarthala, Pragna felt rather intimidated!
Though the man in front of him seemed quite friendly, after coming to battlefront this is the first time he met someone who can completely hide their strength!
Unable to hide his curiosity he tried to check Agarthala’s window,
Nice try.
Pragna is stunned and before he could say something, Agarthala turned around smiling,
“Pragna I have two friendly advices to You. Till the registration process is over, do not use that skill on anyone today. Second, do you know how to bargain?”
Pragna stared at the man for few seconds, and then,” thanks for the first one and for second advice no, not much.”
Agarthala laughed and put his arm around Pragna’s shoulders, “Alright! Let’s talk about it while we walking, you are already late.”
Toshiro approached Agarthala and Pragna. He courteously wished Agarthala,
“Hello, Mr.A.”
Agarthala looked and Toshiro and smiled, “Toshi! Long-time no see, so how is your brother exam going?”
Toshiro said, “Actually that is what I want to talk to you about. Can talk to you privately for few minutes?”
Agarthala said while being mildly surprised, “Now? We are already late.”
Toshiro begged him, ”Please Senior, just few minutes.”
Agarthala laughed and said, “Ok, then but only few minutes.” He turned to Pragna, “Wait here. Don’t go in till I come-back.”
Pragna said, ” Sure.”
They went to a corner of the hall where there no one other than themselves.
Before they could start talking Toshiro used a device which makes their conversation in-audible to others.
Toshiro said to Agarthala, “Senior I want to bargain with this candidate.”
Agarthala laughed, “Not a chance! If owner finds out that I let you influence him, he will skin me alive and you know that is not a metaphor.”

Toshiro calmly looked at Agarthala and said, “Senior, that night when you wiped out the army of southern heavenly mountains, I helped you to hide the left-over remains of the army. You said that night, ‘Toshi I owe you one’. I want to use that favour now.”
Agarthala looked at him surprised, “You want to use that favour now?”
Toshiro firmly replied back, ”Yes”.
Agarthala calmly looked at him, “Alright you can talk to him. But after this I do not owe you anything. Are we clear about that?”
Toshiro said, “Yes I understand.”
Both of them came back to Pragna. Agarthala introduced Pragna and Toshiro to each other. He opened the doors that lead to owner’s office, and before going in he said, “Pragna I have something to do before you talk to the Owner. Also Toshi wants to talk to you. Come inside once you are done with it.”
After Agarthala left,
Toshiro smiled at Pragna and started talking, “Hello Pragna, I want to congra-”
Pragna started talking before Toshiro could finish, “I want a life attribute soul weapon.”
Toshiro looked at Pragna surprised. Pragna continued, “I know about the contract. If you want my help, get me a life attribute-soul weapon. You have three seconds to make the decision. One… two…thre--”
Toshiro blurted out, ”I agree! But we need a contract to- ”
Toshiro pulled out a paper, ”I have one ready, read it and sign it.”
Toshiro read the contract,
In the name of spirits of vengeance and justice, if Pragna can make the owner to agree to give Harima Echizen employment in library as a junior librarian then Toshiro Echizen will deliver a life attribute- soul weapon to Pragna, for Pragna to be the sole inheritor of this life attribute-soul weapon.

Toshiro looked at the contract and tried to talk back, “how about this, if- ”
Pragna abruptly cut-him off mid-sentence, “Sign the paper or lose the deal.”
Toshiro stared in confusion and shock. After he finished his tutelage no one cornered him like this!
As Toshiro was staring at Pragna with a conundrum, Pragna said, “Ok, I have busy day so I am leaving. Bye!”
Toshiro knew he cannot lose this opportunity. He knew how tough it is to get an un-contracted soul weapon. There are different categories of weapons on battlefront. But among all of them the one category that is most sought after are soul weapons! Even if they are not powerful they are still preferred over the other categories.
Why? Because soul weapons can evolve! As long as the owner of weapon is alive, it cannot be destroyed.
That is not the only thing special about them. These weapons have a consciousness!
Gaining a soul weapon is same as gaining a sub-ordinate who will never betray you.
Toshiro came to a decision before Pragna could leave, “I will sign the contract.”
After signing the paper, the paper immediately dis-integrated into dust. Paper turning into dust is the sign of contract coming to action.
Pragna did not say anything and simply left through the door.
After few seconds passed Agarthala came out of the door and looked at Toshiro.
Toshiro immediately understood who the master-mind behind this contract is!
Toshiro looked at him confusedly, “Why?”
Agarthala replied while smiling, ”To prove a point.”
Toshiro asked back, ”You screwed with me, to prove a point?”
Agarthala answered, “No I did not mess with you. I taught you a valuable lesson. To help your brother do you know how many mistakes you have made? And no I am not talking about moral and ethics. You made mistakes you could have avoided if you were even a little bit objective. But whenever it involved your parents and your brother you lost your cool-headedness. Toshi that I know never would have fallen for this dumb-con.”
Toshiro still looked at his senior confusedly, “That still does not explain my original question completely. Why did you do it like this? Why did you make it so that he gets the soul weapon, not you?”
The smile on Agarthala’s face disappeared. What replaced it is a calm expression.
Agarthala calmly said, “I should not even be telling this to you. But the owner specifically told me to tell you. Without reaching the 3rd layer of your skill, you manipulated fate thread way too much to save your parents. That created an anomaly, which is Pragna.”

As an author, I'd like to interact with my community and get ideas and what I can improve on. I'm not perfect and don't expect a masterpiece. I may have a bit of experience writing as a hobby, I make mistakes and my style is a bit rough around the edges. I hope you stick around and watch me build this story up. I don't have a predetermined schedule and the releases will be slow. Since I got college, my schedule is most likely 1-2 chapters a month but that shouldn't be that bad since I get some time to think about what I can write in the story. Again, my apologies for that. I hope I have your support moving forward and that you enjoy the characters and their journies.
