A Huge room! This place is big enough to fit a small town in it! The room had many thousands of large screens hovering everywhere! Some showed rotation of planets, while some showed random calculations done at unbelievable pace and like this many things were being displayed on different screens. A man is seating at the very centre of this room in a comfortable looking chair. He is wearing a suit that looked completely green. But if you observe closely you can see few mouths with razor sharp teeth, popping on it and disappearing! The man has been constantly looking at all the screens! He was muttering to himself, “Where did it disappear to?”

This man’s name is victor. What he was constantly searching for is an item he obtained from the mortal realm. Creatures of higher realm usually do not attack creatures of lower realm. But the planet he found had rune of ‘gift of knowledge’, one of the most sought out runes in battlefront and a extremely rare one. Victor knew that if he could obtain it, his chances to become a primordial will greatly increase. So to get it he used an underhanded scheme, he used another lower mortal realm species to attack this planet. But surprisingly the planet species were resilient to these attacks! Victor knew that if he directly involved, spirits of vengeance and justice will mark him. That is something he absolutely cannot afford. After waiting for so long he finally traced the location of the item. But before he could take that rune away, one of the native species became its owner. To make the matters worse it happened right in-front of his eyes.

Unable to control his anger he killed the native species. But for some reason the soul instead getting destroyed it hid itself in the ruin. When victor killed the native species, he immediately got marked by the spirits of vengeance and justice. But Victor did not care anymore; as long as he can become a primordial he can evade the powers of spirits of vengeance and justice.

He took the ruin with him to his realm. To get rid of the soul he used grand fire formation. But it did not work! For some reason no matter what he did, it did not work. He burned the soul for almost 2days! Yet the soul withered but it still persisted! He did not understand how can a soul from lower mortal realm, which that was still not introduced to 'the system' can be so resilient!

On the 4th day when he went to check it, the rune disappeared! Victor panicked! He is part of the elder gods who manage all the realms. If the council finds out what he did?? The mere idea sent shivers down his body. So for the last 3 months he has been constantly searching for it. But where should he search? There are so many realms combined, nobody knows the exact number!

As he was constantly searching, he heard from intercom in the room,

“Sir the elder god's council reports need your sign.”

Victor really did not have time for this stuff, but if he started neglecting his duties, council may start snooping around him and that is not something he can afford right now. Victor snapper his fingers and all the screens disappeared. Victor adjusted himself and said, “Come in”.

A door appeared in thin air. From it a beautiful looking woman in a very professional attire came into his room while holding two files. She handed the first file to him. Victor slowly read through it for some time. Then he signed it and said, ”Okay pass it.”

Then the woman took the file and handed the next file to Victor. Victor looked at confusedly and asked, “Why is there another file for council work?”

Woman smiled and said, “No sir! This file regarding the soul you transferred to the mortal realm. You know? The one which has gift of knowledge embedded in it.”

Victor almost jumped out of his chair when he heard that statement!

But he has been an elder god for more than a million years now and that position greatly tempered his control over his emotions. He calmly took that file and started reading it. But even with his superb control his hands trembled when he read a statement, “He evolved into an elemental lord?”

The woman said, “Yes sir! The entire process went smoothly as per your instructions.”

Victor stared at her with a placid expression. But his mind is running at full throttle! He knew who did this. It is spirits of vengeance and justice! This why you should not mess with them! They balance out things in the least expected way!

But right now he has bigger problem, the young fire lord! Though elemental lords have many internal conflicts, when an outsider attacks them they are always united. Victor remembered about Taurus king! When he remembered what the elemental did to that dynasty Victor almost had a breakdown. But he calmed himself down.

No! I still have a chance. As long this Pragna does not complete his transition, he cannot obtain the rights to the fire realm. If I can capture him before that………

Victor asked, “So can we still track him?”

“Sorry sir! After his evolution, all the trackers dissolved.”

Again victor calmly asked, ”Do you know to which dimension he left?”

“Actually the portal he used was quite a secure one, so we could not find his destination. But if you want know we can send some spatial mages and-“

Before she can finish, Victor stopped her. “No need for that. If you do not have any further council business you can leave.”

Woman politely nodded her head and left through the portal she came and portal disappeared.

After she left, Victor calmly thought about his situation. He cannot let his siblings know what he did. Because if they get to know what he did…..his father will know what he did.

Victor knew that the only one who can find what he wanted is the dust guild. But they are one of the costliest associations in all the realms. But did not matter to Victor, as long as they can find Pragna he is willing to pay the price.
