《Battlefront》22- to the portal-I

With Pragna as centre a flame dome is formed with radius of 50 metres, the flame had a bright yellow colour with greenish tinge. Almost half of the dragons that attacked got dragged into it. Even those three humanoid creatures were inside that dome. The flame only stayed for only for a half second. After the dome disappeared, results were catastrophic!
These dragons all have high resistance to flames. Yet after the dome disappeared, only ashes were left! Even the two of the humanoid creatures were burned to ashes! Nothing was left of them! Land was burned such that it formed a pit of ashes! Only level 20 was still alive. That was only because it was at the very edge of the dome. Even then it was in unbelievable pain! Right now its body is more charcoal than tissue. The rest of the dragons that were close to the domes got severely burned and were close to death. Pragna released his fire spirits to finish them off. He walked towards the level 20 creature. Its face was completely burned, its eyes melted because of the heat of the flame. It couldn’t even scream because tis vocal chords are completely burned. He crushed its head with his foot. At that point he decided. He will simply march towards his destiny. If something comes between him and that portal he will just burn it to death!
As for the fire spirits they killed the rest of the dragons and started burning the village! Four of them levelled to 5. Rest seven reached 4. But after reaching 5 those fire spirits became round and big and have diameter of 1 metre and that is not the only thing, they started displaying slightly higher intelligence.
He checked the map. The portal is at the very centre of the island. By description of map, it should on huge dais, inside a big palace.
Pragna knew that he has enough strength to directly go towards the portal. But the problem is that there seem to be many small level dragons on this island. Like how swarm of flies though cannot kill an elephant, but can annoy it enough to make it behave crazy. He knew that if he wants complete dominance he needs to create more fire spirits.

He sat down and started creating spirits. No matter how painful it was he did not stop. He continued the process without a break. The pain he felt when he made a soul fragment was nothing compared to his determination to leave this place. After five days of non-stop working, he created 15 more spirits. His soul points increased to 135. He felt his soul gotten little bit stronger. Then he thought about the lava dwarfs.
Lava dwarfs. Will have very low sentience. But are famous for brute force strength. As long as they are standing on earth they can repair themselves. Costs 1 spirit point, 12 mana and host need to stand on earth, to create three of them. Loyal to the host. Because they have earth elemental inside them, they cannot be stored inside the host.
Pragna created the first batch. These things looked like 7 or 6yr old children made up of lava. He ordered them to move. Surprisingly they moved in unison. He tried few more times and realized that these three creatures together are one entity. To check out his theory he ordered them to carry a corpse of dragon and bring it near him. Though that dragon was burned up and lost lot of its weight, it still weighed more than 500 kgs. All three of them co-ordinated their movement lifted it and carried it towards him. Pragna did not understand why system called them with very low intelligence. As usually he has to figure it out.
After coming to the sun-moon island through a rift, dragons were able force the stone gorillas to leave this island. But the dragons paid a huge price. Their master, mother dragon could not use her treasure to open the rifts anymore. She was also hurt really bad after her fight with ex-king of stone gorillas. So for hundred years they have been staying on this island. For creatures that like to horde, they loved it when they came to this island. They looted what-ever they can, destroy things however they like and hunted the bountiful game of this island. But then the real problem started. Fights started breaking out between them for the loot. It came to the point that almost a civil war broke out between all the dragons. To solve this situation mother dragon separated all of them into 70 groups and spread them across the island. The leaders of these groups are children of mother dragon. As per her strict order all the children of mother dragon should leave the village only when they have to report to her for monthly meeting. Jeremy and Helen are waiting for their brothers tom, dick and harry. In two days it is time for monthly meeting. Usually by now they should have come to their village and all five of them would have left for the meeting. Yet they have still not come. Both Helen and Jeremy are level 51 nether spirit shamans/ necromancers. When they fought against the stone gorillas both of them played a key role in killing the fire shamans of their enemy. As they were waiting restlessly, they sensed something and went outside their houses to check it. Lower level Dragons were falling out of the sky like as though they have been hit by something. When they checked the body of the dragon’s body, they were surprised to find out that it was dead cold to their touch. All of the dragons that live on this island have very high affinity with fire and poison. It is physically impossible for them to lose the heat from their bodies. Yet it is happening. As they tried to figure out what is happening even the higher level dragons started getting infected by this coldness. Then both Jeremy and Helen noticed that the surrounding temperature is dropping at alarming pace. At that instant both of them noticed something is approaching them at high speed and it was just five kilometres away from them. Immediately they pulled out magic staffs from thin air. In less than a minute a weird creature with no horns, no tail or any distinguishable features appeared near their village while flying at high speed. Out of nowhere 27 fire balls of different sizes and colours appeared around him. Immediately all the fireballs launched themselves on the dragons that were lying on the ground unable to move. Helen immediately used her skill, spirit extinguish to kill one of those fire balls. Before she could react a bright yellow flame blade approached her. She thought she is dead for sure! But her brother Jeremy reacted in time and created a shield around them. The blade tried to cut the shield but it could not and dissipated. As they were getting ready to use their spells this time a dark green coloured flame hit the shield. Even as the green flame ball approached the shield, the shield shattered as though it was made of glass! Immediately both of them were surrounded by the green coloured flames. All of the protective charms on their bodies were destroyed to save them, yet they still suffered extreme damages from the fire. Helen and Jeremy could not understand who this creature is. There are not some low level dragons. They are dragons who could take human form and they are the descendants of Níðhöggr! But even as they were in daze, not understanding how someone can burn descendants of Níðhöggr to death, it sent two flame blades towards them at high pace. That was all Helen and Jeremy could remember before their lifeless heads fell down.

Alex and Julius, a pair of brothers, try their best to make it in a North America reshaped by an eldritch apocalypse. “Stop right there Philip!” Julius interrupted, the vein on his temple starting to throb. “I do not want to hear another simile about what magic is. I have had magic explained to me by three cult leaders, a wizard, and a cannibal. I've heard that magic is like a rainbow, all its parts blending together. The human unconsciousness, powerful and unknowable. A body, you don't want to eat the heart straight away. I am sick and tired of people telling me what magic is. I know damn well what it is.” He drew a breath, interrupting his rant. “Magic is a bad joke. A whole lot of setup, for some nonsense punchline. This whole god-damned apocalypse is an eldritch comedy.”
