《Battlefront》17-leaving to sun-moon island

Pragna is steadily flying in the sky. There is content smile on his face as he looked at his dress. Things went smoothly than he thought. First when he asked for clothes there was no reaction from the stone gorillas. He thought he did not use the poly-linguist skill properly, so again he said the same thing. The army he saw is much better than any stone gorilla he has seen and the three apes standing in behind them, they looked more humanoid than the rest. Along with the army none of the apes were standing by using their hands and the armour they were wearing looked much more exquisite and quite sturdy. He suddenly got a doubt and used gift of knowledge on them
Nope! I did not confuse them with other species. They are stone gorillas only highly evolved. Why are they not responding back? They are not attacking me either?
As he was thinking what to do next, he heard a loud laughter! The old ape which looked like a bright flame to him was laughing and he said,”Vajra a rare guest has come to our tribe! Go and fetch the Sandhya robes. Nakala! Go prepare a great feast for our guest.”
As he issued orders both of them left in a daze unable to believe what was actually happening. The army followed them silently even more confused than them.
As Jambu approached Pragna the old ape slightly bowed and said, “Honoured guest! Welcome to the tribe of vali-puthras.”
You have gained the stone gorilla’s trust. Now you know their tribe’s true name. You are now on friendly terms with an off-shoot branch descendant of the primordial monkey vali. Next time when you meet any of the primordial monkey’s descendants, you have 10% higher chance of making friendly contact with them.
Jambu took him to a cave that was at the top of the mountain.
He was given a comfortable chair to seat in. Pragna asked the question that was bugging him for some time, “I killed more than 20 members of your tribe. Are you not upset?”
Jambu laughed, “Honoured guest we have a saying in our tribe, dumb apes cannot be saved. They went and tried to hunt in the forbidden grounds so they paid the price.”
Pragna remembered something about ancient pact in his notifications, so he asked it, “What is ancient pact?”

Jambu was surprised, “Honoured guest is truly a transcendent being. You even heard about the pact.”
Jambu got a distant look, “We vali-puthras are not actually from mortal realm. Our ancestors are from a higher realm. Even I do not know where they came from. All I know is that many millions of years back our ancestor made a huge mistake and responsible for a cataclysmic event. Our Progenitor was quite angered at our stupidity. As a punishment he banished our ancestors and our home to the mortal realms. After our ancestors realized their mistake, they begged for forgiveness. So the progenitor himself told the method, on how to return back to our realm. He created the sacred Volcano Islands and made a rule. As long this island can give birth to any elemental lord, our plane will ascend again. ”
While jambu was talking nakala came back with a big treasure box. Jambu took that box and offered it to Pragna, “When our plane descended to mortal realms all our ancestors lost their immortality. We even lost almost all our treasures. Right now we only have three of them left and this one of them.”
Jambu opened the box and showed its contents. It contained a large cloth. This cloth has a very unique colour. The colour looked like an orange glow that is ready to fade away into darkness. Jambu continued, “This cloth was used by our most powerful ancestors. It is extremely flame resistant. This cloth has also a hidden function. It can mask any being’s soul from being tracked.”
As Pragna was looking at it he asked, ”You are level 98 fire shaman, then why are you not using it?”
When Nakala heard this question he almost jumped in fright! He could not control his surprise and asked, “How do you know master jambu’s level?”
Jambu immediately shouted, “Nakala! Control yourself.” He then turned towards Pragna and said, “Honourable guest! Please forgive him; he is still young in his mind. As for the cloth, it is sentient. It will never accept a mortal as its owner. ”
Pragna took the cloth and tried to wrap it around him. For some reason it was trying to get of his body. Pragna laughed and started releasing his power. There was a small reaction from the cloth but it was still trying to get off him.

He further increased his power, slowly its struggle decreased then
You have obtained a primordial god’s treasure! This cloth was created by the original primordial as gift for the first abyssal flame god! Highly flame resistant! It can mould into any type of dress as long as host can imagine it. Hidden function: can mask your presence against almost all soul tracking techniques.
Pragna did not know how to react to this notification. But he kept his best poker face and did not show any reaction. He finally could wear what he wanted. The Cloth changed into a shirt and pant. He also moulded it to form a pair of shoes.
That night they made a huge feast for him. It was quite satisfying meal for him. As an indication
YOU had a satisfying meal. VIT+ 5 permanent. Next time you will need even larger quantity of food to satisfy you hunger
As Pragna finished his meal and was feeling quite good, the entire tribe watching him was shocked. You can hear murmurs here and there,
“He ate entire food prepared for 1000 stone gorillas….”
“Where did that all food go?”
“My teacher told me that fire lords just burn up anything they want to consume and that item’s sustenance will be transferred to them. Is he really a fire lord? why did he eat normally?”
Like that the night came to an end. They gave Pragna quite the luxurious bad to sleep in. Jambu knew that fire lords don’t have the necessity to sleep but he still urged Pragna to lay on it.
In the middle of night Jambu heard a knock on his door. It is Pragna.
“Jambu I am leaving, I need a map.”
“Honoured gue-”
“Stop calling me that. My name is Pragna.”
Jambu stared at him for a second, “Alright! Where do you want to go Pragna?”
Pragna asked, “What is in east side of this island?”
Jambu face darkened, but he still answered, ”As you go to the east side you will reach the ocean. After travelling 18,000 kilometres you will reach an island. It was once called the sun-moon island. But now it is a wild land filled with dragons. I advise you to not go there.”
Pragna asked, “Why is that?”
Jambu, “Our plane has 12 islands. 11 of them are on west-side. The biggest of all 12 islands is on east side. It is called sun-moon Island. Our tribe always ruled all the 12 islands with sun-moon Island as the main base. But 100 years back a fire dragon with its children came from our dimensional portal without us even activating it and started attacking us. We lost much in that battle. Our king who reached level 98 was killed in it. We lost many of our heritages and powerful warriors in that battle. But before the king was killed he severly injured the dragon. It retreated into the depths of island. We ran away from that place and have been staying on this island. Once in a while, that dragon sends its children to attack us. I was able to kill them somehow. As nakala and vajra got stronger things got little easy for us.”
Pragna calmly listened to his story. ”You have still not told me why I should not go there?”
Jambu laughed and said, “Dragons have a bad habit of hording treasures. You being a young fire lord makes you an great consumable item for the mother dragon. The moment they realize you can manipulate flames every dragon on island will try to kill you and consume you.”
Pragna listened to all of this. He calmly stood there for a minute, “You said that there is a dimension portal on that island. What do I need to activate it?”
Jambu understood what that question meant. Pragna is going to the island
Jambu went into his house and brought back a satchel. He handed them to Pragna and said, “In this bag there is map describing the island in detail. I can’t vouch for the buildings, but I am sure that general terrain has not change that much. There is also a black pouch and a red crystal in the satchel. Black pouch has items for you to eat in the journey. The red crystal is the key to operate the portal. You need to insert it in the portal slot to make it function it again. The problem is that you need to know spatial magic to set your destiny. But unfortunately all our mages who knew spatial magic died In that war.”
Pragna looked at the contents in the satchel; he flung it over his back and said, ”Jambu you have helped me. In future I will pay back your kindness.”
Just like that he hovered into the air and started flying towards his destiny.

Modern Magic
A Modern Magician BookI looked up at the crooked holo sign while the perfectly bred woman read from a paper, a plastic smile glued to her face.'Welcome to The City,' she said in a fake voice. 'Once formerly known as New York, The City is a place filled with ancient and modern wonders. Remember, if you see any magicians please report to the nearest police station or Black Hand officer.'I smiled at the sign and then raised a single finger. No, not the middle one. A blue misty light spun from my finger and into the holo device. The message quickly changed from the fake woman to one of my own.'Welcome to The City,' the woman read, her hair now dyed a fuchsia. Her eyelids were a dark blue and her bottom lip and right eyebrow were pierced. 'A special message from Hecate, queen of magic.' The woman looked up at me, a smirk playing on her lips. 'Welcome to my city.'
