Epilogue
It’s cold out here… I haven’t been able to think straight recently… I should’ve never entered that forest, I almost didn’t make it out alive, unlike them… Even worse, this thing keeps me awake, not letting me sleep… I’m thinking of going back and leaving this thing where I found it, would that even be possible, would I even be able to find that place again… Might the three other people I saw there last time, still be there… How did they get here in the first place, might they also have one of these things, are they also constantly losing sleep just like me…
Are they even real…

“Huh what in the”- Aamaile jotted upwards from where she was laying down -“Auro did you also hear that voice just now?”- she asked moving him around
“Huh what voice?”- he asked as he rubbed his eyes as if he just woke up -“Maybe it was just some memory from the past or some other person you haven’t met yet, remember there’s more people living in your head than you can think of so don’t sweat it everything will be fine, I promise”
“Yeah Auro but normally their female voices...”- she looked at Auro concerningly - “what do you mean by normally”- he asked concerned -“This voice was of a slightly older man”
“Can you remember anything it was saying or something else about it?”
“Something about being cold, not being able to sleep, regretting going somewhere and being driven insane by something they got at that place. Also wanting to go back to that place and leaving the thing they got ”
“What in the, anything else?”- He asked, now fully awake -“Something about others dying and only him surviving. Also, something about three other people, also wondering if they also had something just like he had, even going as far as asking how they got there or if they were even real..”

“Can it be those three”- They shared a look -“Where us and the mist stalker back then when we fought in the forest near the edge where the outside and the forest met”- they looked at each other -“Auro do you think it might be...”- He nodded -“Another cursed weapon wielder is somewhere out here and is planning on coming back to the forest looking for both of us… ”

You can only call someone your family when they accept you for who you are and what you do, and when they never let you go. That was Aamaile and Auros philosophy since that day, that one fateful day and in that specific spot. Exactly that day neither one of them would ever forget not even in a hundred years. The day they met. The day they promised each other to be together for the rest of their lives. The day they fell in love…
