It has been a week since Lisa was captured by Nestor. Her condition ever since then has been like a caged bird. She is provided with top class services. Nestor properly assured to give her breakfast, lunch and dinner. She wasn’t allowed to go out of the room unless Nestor ordered it. Nestor made sure to meet Lisa every day.

Lisa already took her breakfast today. For first two days, Lisa took time to recover from the incident. For last five days Lisa observed the surrounding activities. She has resoluted herself to escape from here. Today, she takes out a knife and fork from her breakfast while making sure that maid didn’t see it. As maid leaves the room taking the empty dishes in a trolly, Lisa waits for a while before getting up from her bed.

“Alright..let’s breath and calm down..”

She calms herself down before taking any action. She picks up the vase from the table and breaks it on the floor. After that, she screams loud enough for the guards outside to hear. Lisa hides herself behind a wall. Two guards rushes into the room.

“What..guh…”

Lisa takes down one guard from behind as she stabs her knife in his head. Other guard pulls away Lisa while grabbing her hair.

“Bitch..what did you do?”

The second guard throws Lisa on the ground. She quickly recovers herself and rushes at him while taking out the fork. The guard grabs her hand. He was obviously stronger than her. But Lisa was taught to control mana from an early age. She flows the mana to her hand. Her hand slowly moves towards guard.

“what…”

Those were the last words of guard as the fork pierces his eye and goes inside his head. Her breathing become violent. Her heart starts to beat faster. Lisa never killed a human before. But she is not going to let this affect her resolution . She is going to escape today. Lisa collects herself before stepping out of the room.

After one week of training at the Birnmin mansion, I am ready to leave. I was invited to the breakfast by Rodrik but I refused. I want to take breakfast with Aria. I really missed her during this week.

“So I am leaving now Rodrik, Gena. Thanks for everything. I will contact you as soon as possible.”

“Don’t worry about it. Be careful about using mana. We just forcefully extended your mana pool using that room. If you lose control over you mana flow, you will end up bursting your body parts.”

“Ok..I will be careful with it.”

I left the Birnmin mansion. Rodrik’s attitude changed significantly towards me in this week. I think this is good since we have to cooperate with each other. They offered me a proper transport, but I refused and just borrowed a horse from them.

While riding the horse, I felt excited for some reason. Maybe it’s because I am going to meet Aria after a long time. So I decided to have breakfast with her for today. This will be our short date.

I reached at the guild and tie down my horse outside. As I entered the guild, I was immediately noticed by the counter lady Mila. She waves her hand at me which gets the attention from the surrounding people.

“Hey, Miss Mila….”

“Mr. Den, Welcome back! Are you done with your task?”

“Yes, I am done with that. Where is Aria?”

“She is in the back. Come with me.”

She takes me to the room where Aria is right now. She notices me and runs at me. She hugs me with force. I wonder if her strength has increased. Her grip is stronger than before. I shuffle my hand through her hair.

“How has it been?..Aria…”

“I worked really hard with Miss Mila...master.”

“That I can tell..”

She pulls away from me and I turn at Miss Mila.

“So Miss Mila, Did Carlos bring anyone to join us?”

“Yes, in fact they are going to meet here in two hours.”

“Then I guess we still have some time. Aria, Did you eat breakfast?”

“Not yet.”

“Alright then let’s go get something to eat.”

“ok”

Aria replied cheerfully. Maybe she realized my intention. On my way out, I met with Carlos. He looked at me and Aria holding our hands together. Then he started glaring at me for some reason. What’s up with this guy? Anyway we found a suitable restaurant and ordered our dishes.

“Sorry for asking you out so suddenly. I wanted some private time together.”

“No It’s fine. I also wanted to be alone with master.”

She said shyly.

“You really made some strong progress.”

“eh..what do you mean?”

“Your grip was much stronger than before. Your body also changed a little.”

“No, it isn’t..Th-there is just some slight changes here and there.”

Aria said as she covered herself with her hands with her cheeks turning red.

“Don’t worry. I like you anyway.”

Our food arrives at the table and I moved my chair closer to Aria. I take out a spoonful of soup and holds it front of Aria.

“Ma-master….This is…”

“I am going to feed you today.Come on, open your mouth…”

I said as I showed her a grin. She opens her mouth a little and bring her face closer to the spoon. Her cheeks totally turned red. She brings her face closer to the spoon but I pull it away from her. I kissed her. She was startled at first but soon kisses me back. We took our breakfast while people around sent us glares but we were too busy flirting with each other to notice it.

Lisa walked down slowly in the hallway leading outside of the room she was kept in. Soon she faced the path turning to left. She got closer to the wall and peeked from the corner.

“Hey..Who is that new girl that General brought a week ago?”

“I don’t know. But she is a hotty…”

“Shut up. If general heard that you will have your head flying off of your neck.”

There are at least three persons ahead. Lisa don’t want to engage in battle with them. She is not sure that she will win this time. She waited until two of them moved away leaving one behind. Lisa moved behind the man with light steps. She infused mana into her hand and hits hard at the back on his neck. He falls down as he loses consciousness. Lisa drags his body away from the spot. So if other two came back they would not find the body. There is a chance that they will get suspicious when they don’t find him here. But Lisa betted on her luck this time.

“okay where to now..”

There are three different path from here, one is straightforward, second left and third at right. The other two from before moved at the right and left direction. She decides to move forward.

She again moved slowly as to not make any mistake. There are several doors she came across upon. She kept moving forward. Suddenly one of the doors opens, and a maid comes out of the room. Lisa quickly infuses mana into her hand and punches her stomach. The maid gets knocked out while making a grown.

Lisa drags her inside the room. Thankfully, there was no one inside. The maid was here just for cleaning. Lisa suddenly stops before going out of the room and looks at the unconscious maid.

After a while a maid comes out of the room. She has tied up blond hair and blue eyes. She is Lisa. She wore maids clothes for a disguise.

After taking the breakfast, We took a stroll around the town until it was time for us to meet at the guild. When we entered the guild, Miss Mila wasn’t here like before. Aria pulled my hand as if telling me it’s fine to go inside.

We moved inside the meeting room. There were already many people here. I know Carlos and Miss Mila. I am guessing these people are Carlos’s friends.

“We were just waiting for you, Den. Come here…” Carlos calls me to sit beside him.

“Sorry..am I late..”

I said as I sat down on the couch. Aria sat beside me. Miss Mila poured some tea for us. Carlos also brought forward his empty cup. He loves tea way too much.

“Guys...This is Den..and Den..these people are…”

“I am Keena, an adventurer. It’s good to meet you Den.”

A lady wearing adventurer’s equipment said to me. I returned her greeting.

“I am Daniel. I am a healer. I used to be a part of Carlos’s party.”

“My name is Betro. I used to do adventures a lot. But now this old bones are only good for drinking and gambling.”

“Hey, I am Crista. I am a mage.”

Daniel looked to be around same age as Carlos but he is skinny unlike muscle bulging Carlos. Betro looked really old. I wonder how is he going to help us? Crista looked youngest among them. She held a staff in her hand.

“Hello, I am Josh. By the way Can I ask the name of the beautiful lady over there?”

He said as he looked at Aria.

“eh..me..I am Aria..”

“Aria..It is such a beautiful name. It suits you perfectly.”

Josh has long blonde hair. I am not sure whether I am going to like this guy. So just to warn him, I put my hand over Aria’s shoulder and bring her closer to me. She looks down shyly as her cheeks turns red. Keena chuckles at this while Crista and Daniel shows a wry smile.

“I am Kane.”

A man with a serious expression said. He looks like a really serious person. Finally, there is one more person. He is also same age as Carlos and has bulging muscles all over his body. He wore heavy armor and a long sword at his waist. For some reason, he looked really angry. He stared at me before opening his mouth.

“Hey Carlos, What is the meaning of this? Are we suppose to follow this kid?”

“Calm down, Brant. Den is good enough..”

“Don’t joke with me. He doesn’t even look that powerful. Here I thought that we finally going to take our revenge on Zoin.”

This person named Brant doesn’t look too pleased with me. But I have to get him on this. I need allies.

“Excuse me, Mr. Brant. I know that it is hard to cooperate with someone with lower experience than you but I also have someone I need to payback. I want you to be a part of this, so that we both can achieve our goals.”

He glares at me for a while.

“Just don’t get in my way or I will crush you…”

Well, I guess it’s fine as long as I let him think of me as a novice. Then I started to speak out.

“So now that the introductions are done. Let’s start our meeting. I think everyone here knows our objective but let me rephrase it. We are going to fight against Nestor Bristol, a renowned general of Kingdom’s army and chosen of the goddess Vena. He is probably residing in his castle which is located at the southern mountains. We have to fight against army he has it as his castle. We are going to hire mercenaries for our job. Me and Birnmin family will look over all the costs. Any questions..”

Keena spoke while putting her hand at her jaw.

“hmmmm...I think with our connections we can get at least 100 adventurers and 500 mercenaries if we want to stay hidden. With Birnmin family’s personal connections, I guess around 700 is the limit of our army. Even if we have top class warriors like us, Nestor’s army may go in thousands in numbers. How are we going to play this out?”

“Although it is a bit risky but we have to get help when we get there.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“There is forest of giants near the castle right. I heard that giants are having problems with Kingdom recently because their forest is getting ruined. I am going to ask for their help.”

Brant slams down the table.

“Ridiculous, you are going talk with giants. That is one species in this world which we call as definition of dumb.”

“I know it will be hard but I am determined to fight Nestor even if I don’t get their cooperation. So if anyone of you want to back down. Do it now..”

They all became silent. Betro opened his mouth.

“haha..This seems interesting. I am in boy..”

“haaaaaa..I guess I am in too…” Keena replied and Daniel nodded.

Crista asked a question.

“How are we going to get there? It is too far away from here.”

“Birnmin family will set up magic circle for us. We are going to teleport at the Mistro town that is near the Nestor’s castle.”

“It’s going to take some time for me to gather my friends.” Josh said.

“Alright, Everyone please immediately work on gathering up your forces. Carlos, I leave you with the preparation for gathering mercenaries. Please come back here when you are done.”

Everyone got assigned with their task. Now it’s time to wait for me, Aria and Lisa.

Lisa the maid made her way down to the fifth floor. It seems she was on the highest Ninth floor of the castle. She came across many guards who looked at her curiously. There were two guards at the big door ahead her.

“Stop...Where are you going?”

Lisa felt cold sweat coming down her face. She still managed to give a reply.

“I am done with cleaning. I missed my breakfast so I am going to get something to eat.”

“Are you new here? I never seen you before.”

“Yes, Lord Nestor hired me on his last trip.”

“hmmm...I did hear that general Nestor brought a girl with him. I didn’t know he was going to get a new maid.”

“Ah you see….I am not just a maid but I also have to do night duties for my dear lord.”

Lisa said seductively. The guards looked at her with wide open eyes.

“I guess it’s true. You also match the description of the girl. Well, Kitchen’s at the second left from here.”

“Thank you..”

Lisa consoles herself to keep going on. She tells herself that there is only few more obstacles. She reaches the first left turn and sees two people coming her way. As they got closer, Lisa quickly hide herself in the nearby room. If they were just some guards she will fool them as before. But this time it was Nestor and his father. Lisa leaves the door slightly open to hear their conversation.

“Nestor..You did great..That bastard Rodrik insulted us when he broke the engagement.”

“Father, I have no concern for such rivalry. I only want Lisa.”

“I know that. But be aware Rodrik is not going to hold back on us now that we have his daughter.”

“He will accept our marriage or he will face death. There is nobody that can take Lisa away from me.”

Lisa shrieked in fear at his words. When she was assured that they left, she comes out of the room. Lisa doesn’t have much time. Soon another maid will come to her room to give lunch to Lisa. She will find dead guards inside the room. Lisa remembers Nestor’s words and feels cold sweat running down her spine. She moves quickly. She wants to escape. She has to escape.
