《Ley World-The Game》Chapter 38

2 days had passed since Ley World's official release, and millions were waiting for Gorden Co's official statements to be made. The general populous of the political, scientific, gaming, and athletic communities were all sat inside of the massive Gorden Stadium. Built a few months before Ley World's release, it was meant to be an area for interviews, general statements, and competitions.
Today was it's first day in operation, and it was packed to the full. Over 175,000 people were sat around the seats, hundreds of news crews aiming their camera's at the stage, waiting for Felix Gorden to come out.
Seated closest to the stage were the important figures. Politicians, well-renowned scientists, a representative from the Olympic Committee.
They were all here waiting for one thing. Knowledge about how the game affected people's bodies in real life. Many believed it was impossible, some wanted to see if it was possible to exploit it. Other wanted to know how major of an impact it had.
The tension inside the stadium was high, everyone silently waiting for Felix to come out. Cameras flashed, people stirred, drones flew overhead, the stadium was in a mode of chaos.
Amidst all this, a short man, close to 160cm in height, with fading black hair, an unkempt beard, walked up to the podium.
Tapping on the microphone a few times to get everyones attention, he spoke.
"Hello everyone! My name is Kod Wrake. I would like if you could all calm down, as Mr. Gorden will be appearing here within the minute. Thank you all for your support!"
His voice boomed, and like a wave, silence spread around the stadium. He got off the podium and sat down on one of the chairs on the stage, looking towards the opening where Felix Gorden would be coming through.

Finally, he walked through. A middle-aged black man, roughly 185cm. He had short, slicked back hair, and a tidy beard. He was well built, the contours of his body showing through the grey suit he wore. If anything, he looked closer to the perfect sugar daddy than the leader of an almost trillion dollar company.
He slowly stepped onto the podium, a sense of awe overcoming those who looked at him. Nobody took a picture, nobody moved, everyone stared. Finally he spoke.
"Hello everyone. I am Felix Gorden, and this will be the first public announcement that Gorden Co. makes about Ley World. I welcome you all."
His voice, like a mix of an angel's singing, the most charismatic man's voice, and the smoothest deep voice anyone had ever heard.
People sprang from their seats, cheering. Some recorded the events, other screamed and whistled. News crews began moving, recording everything he said and taking hundreds of picture from hundreds of angles.
After a minute, everyone calmed down, and he spoke once more.
"Today, due to popular interest, we will not be talking about the overall game. Instead, we will be focusing more on a single aspect. Virtual to Reality Body Compensation, or VRBC for short. VRBC is, if you havn't guessed by now, the reason that the player's body in real life changed depending on their in-game statistics."
"We have it toned to 1-1000, reality to virtual. Basically, if we took our bodies and calculated what their in-game bodies stats would be, the human average would be 10 for everything. We don't exactly know the exact differences between 9 and 10 or 10 and 9, except that the higher, the better your body is at it."
"With the toning at 1-1000, you would need to gain 1000 in-game points in one stat for your real life 'stat' to go up by one. For example, if someone has an 10 strength, and gets to 1000 strength in-game, then they're strength in real life will go up to 11. It isn't all at once, as each stat point in game affects your body with decimals included. So if you got 500 strength in game, your body would be at 10.5 strength or etc."

"The toning doesn't stay like this for long though, as once you get to a certain point in real life, it will take more and more in-game stats for your body to change itself. While it is possible for someone to get to 110 stats in real life, it would take much more than 100,000 in-game stats, most likely closer to 300,000."
"As for why the toning is at 1-1000 and not higher or lower, lower would mean that the increase would be so small that your body wouldn't accept the change, and revert it as only a small change occurred. Any larger and you would be sore for eternity, your body not able to keep up with the change. Now then, to better explain the scientific points of VRBC, I'll have Mr. Goldfield, Gorden Co's lead scientist and engineer, to explain it to you. Mr. Goldfield if you please."
Mr. Goldfield, an average man of Asian decent, with long since grayed hair and wrinkles adorning his face, stood up to the podium. The scientific community nodded, acknowledging him as the world famous scientist he is. Mr. Gorden stood to the side, silently waving at the crowds.
He spoke, a short, raspy voice coming through.
"Hello everyone. As Mr. Gorden previously stated, your stats affect your real body to a certain degree. The reason for this, was that your brain, upon seeing that it's working at a better and more efficient manner than before, will attempt to change itself to work at that level."
"As you all know, in this game the stats are infinite, so it's possible that with enough time someone in real life will be 100, maybe 1000 times stronger than the average human in intelligence, strength, dexterity, etc. This does cause some side affects, such as needing many more calories, but by the time people get to a high enough level that it makes a difference, someone will have invented something with their much higher intelligence."
"Also, with the creation of the V-R market, any high-up players will be able to make money off the game with enough time put in it. But that will be for later. Now, any questions?"

Anyways, this story is about God's and creativity and bonkers off the wall (expletive) and rituals and God's and sex jokes. I probably got inspired by like all of the mythos stories that have been popping up on here. It's in a VERY rough form because I've just been getting back into writing. I've written like fifty thousand words already so I guess have fun.

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.

Green Raven, a Running with Devils LitRPG
One minute Ronald McGreen was thinking about how he would get out of the cleaning closet his new classmates had thrown him in. The next he is transferred to something of a waiting room for a new game world. Giving him two hard choices. Not that he wasn’t used to hard choices since his fathers death and his mothers depression, where he chose to step up and do everything in his power to get his mother back up on her two feet. This is a story of a young man around 16-17 years growing up and making choices for himself, that sometimes affects others. This story is a slow burn, the MC will become stronger but he has insecurities that he needs to overcome and so on. I've read plenty of books over the years and lately fallen hard for the LitRPG genre of Fantasy, and this is my first attempt to write a book.
