《Dungeon Boss Player》Chapter 11 - The strongest Wolf can't win against a Child

Kai’ speed fell once he was about to enter his dungeon because he could feel that the two humans wouldn't be able to hold any longer if he continued to run like he was doing.
“We're here.” Kai said as he entered the cave with the two kids on his back. “Girl, enter the carriage, I'll bring something for you to dry yourself and your brother.” He said as he lied down for the kids to get down from his back.
“Okay, Mister Wolf.” The girl said as she helped her brother down and before they started walking Kai took him with his mouth and placed him inside.
“Go, take those wet clothes of his, I'll bring some.” He said as he disappeared inside his den, where he found the clothes the adventurers had inside the carriage. “To think I would be having a use for these so quickly…” Kai said as he took the bags with him.
“The clothes are here.” Kai said as he tossed the two bags inside the carriage. “Dry yourselves with a towel or dry rag.” He said as he walked away leaving the siblings together.
He stopped at the entrance of the dungeon and looked at the two horses that were still tied outside.
‘It would be good to have some useful fingers… I would be able to bring those inside…’ He started thinking but then a idea appeared on his mind. “That might be good.” Kai murmured as he made his way to the room he had made the jail for the woman and there he opened another small room, it was only ten square meters and a half stone door was made before it.
He ran back outside and looked at the restless horses before he used his paws to hit the horses hard enough that they would only faint before he dragged both inside to the small room he had made.
“This might be enough.” Kai nodded before he walked back to the carriage, just in time to see the girl walking outside. She was wearing a dress… or a robe, which was too big for her but she didn't mind as she tied some pieces of clothes around her waist and arms to keep the clothes from falling.
“Mister Wolf…” She started as she looked at Kai.
“Do not even start. You know why I did it.” He said with an annoyed tone of voice. “This will be the only time I'll listen to your request, the next time I'll not even look at it, do you understand?” He said looking at the girl.
“Okay.” She said before she walked inside the carriage to drag her brother out. “Mister Wolf… help Nathan.” She said as she held her brother.
“Not sure how I'll do it… but just don't hope for anything great coming from me.” Kai said walking to the back of his dungeon, where he got some healing herbs and mana herbs together with some wild berries. “Girl!” Kai shouted as he walked to the first room.
“Yes, Mister Wolf!” The girl quickly walked to him with a bowl and some sort of mortar. “I took this from mother…” She said with a red face.
“It is good enough.” He said placing the things on the ground before her. “Take these, I'll get some water bags for you.” Kai said as he walked inside the den once more.
He did not mind his minions, who were resting on the ground. They had done a good job during the day and the rest was a good thing for them.

‘I should rest soon too.’ He thought as he took two water bags and ration bags for the kids.
“How is your brother?” Kai asked once he walked to the carriage, where he could see the girl working with the mortar.
“He stopped coughing… but he is still breathing.” She said with a small smile on her face.
“Good, you are to drink from these and to eat this. Don't feed these to him and make sure that he is drinking the water… and the thing you're doing with the herbs.” Kai said as he put the two bags on the floor besides the girl.
“Thanks Mister Wolf.” The girl said once more and Kai could only snort as he walked towards the entrance.
“Today the rain will not stop.” He murmured as he lied down while he listened to the sound of the rain, the mortar breaking the herbs and berries he had brought and the breathing of the boy inside the carriage.

Dawn woke up and looked around just to find herself in a dirty jail-looking room. ‘No way…’ She thought as she rubbed her eyes with her hands. ‘I was fighting with my party and then they were all killed before my eyes… I fainted…’ She continued to think before she looked down and seeing the state she was she covered her body with her hands.
“No way… who would do this thing to me?” She said as she stood up and walking towards the bars that were the only way to see the world outside. “No… it can’t be happening…” She said falling on her knees.
Before her, all she could see was filled with green and walls.
“No no no… I was sent to jail?” She said as she looked around as a nervous laugh escaped her lips. “I’m the daughter of a noble, I can use almost all types of magic… why would I be sent to jail?” She said nervously as she looked around herself once more, but nothing was inside the small room she was placed.
It was worse than the worse jail, it was just a hole that she was thrown and someone put a stone bar door before the hole.
“This place…” She finally said after a few minutes. “No way… I’m inside the dungeon!?” She almost shouted but controlled her tone of voice. “I need to run away before that beast appears.” She said nervously.
“It looks like you have woken up.” The dark, creepy, guttural, cruel voice came from a corner of the room before her.
She gulped down as she crouched covering the front of her body with her hands and arms.
“Why are you hiding your body?” The voice said and a dark shadow covered the jail door. “I just came here to talk.” The wolf soon appeared and lied down before the door.
“W-What are you going to do with me?!” Dawn said while her voice shook.
“Nothing… I just hope you can teach me how to use magic.” The wolf said slowly as he looked at her eyes.
“I-I can’t teach you magic…” Dawn said as she took some distance from the door.
“Oh… so that is your saying…” The beast said as it stood up. “Let me see how long you will hold before you give up… I hope you can stay there without food for a while.” The wolf said as it laughed.
“Mister Wolf?” A child’s voice suddenly came from the other side and Dawn’s face turned pale. “What are you doing?” The voice asked getting closer to the beast.

“Girl, I was just looking at my new ‘pet’… it needs some training.” The beast answered and soon the girl appeared on her view.
Dawn was taken back as the girl looked inside the room.
“Mister Wolf! Don’t be so mean! Can’t you see that she is naked? She will get a cold!” The girl shouted at the wolf and Dawn only stared at her with big eyes.
“I don’t care. She came here and I caught her. She is now under my care and I say that she will stay like that until she accepts the terms I have given her!” The beast said as it growled at the child.
“Child, take your distance from that beast… he killed my companions… he is cruel and will kill you easily.” Dawn said fearing for the kid.
“There is no problem… Mister Wolf is just like that…” The kid said beaming a beautiful smile towards her. “Mister Wolf, give the woman some clothes! She will not be able to do anything if she is like that!” She continued to talk with the wolf.
“You do have a point, but I’ll not go back on my words. She invaded my home and killed my subordinates. Being a prisoner with no right of clothes or food… I think it is a good way to give her a bit of training.” The wolf said getting closer to the girl.
“Kid! Run!” Dawn shouted as she run to the door and placed her arms outside. “Blaze!” She shouted but only a single spark was created at the tips of her hands before it disappeared. “No way… I can’t use magic?” She asked looking at her hands.
“It was good that I looked all over your body… to think you had a stone on a ring and on an earring… it was a good choice to take those away.” The wolf said as he smiled.
“Mister Wolf, don’t be a meany!” The girl said stomping her foot on the ground. “Give some clothes to her!” The girl said with puffed cheeks and her arms crossed before her chest.
Dawn looked at the cute girl and smiled but soon remembered where she was and looked at the wolf.
“Kukukuku!” The wolf suddenly started laughing making her look at him with strange eyes. “I do agree to give her clothes… if she agrees to teach me and my followers magic… and I will also feed her.” He said as he looked at the girl with his red eyes.
“I-I’ll never teach a beast that killed my companions anything!” Dawn said looking at the big wolf.
“Then she will do it!” The girl shouted as she smiled. “If she teaches Mister Wolf, Mister Wolf will do good things with it… and she will have things to wear and food… isn’t that good for everyone?” She said tilting her head.
“That is true…” Dawn started and the girl smiled at her. “But the beast… he killed my companions.” She said looking at the black and white wolf.
“You did the same with my subordinates… you killed them after I had done my best on making them that strong… do you know how much time I used just to gather that number?” The wolf said looking at the her. “It was a painful experience… the hunting time… I had to look for animals and monster to make them stronger and even then they could have been killed.” He continued.
“I did the same! It took me long time to form that party!” Dawn said looking at the wolf. “I wasn’t their leader, but they didn’t treat me differently because I was the only woman! They treated me as one of them!” She said shaking her hands.
“Hey, Mister Wolf… can you look at my brother again?” The girl suddenly said. “I came here to ask you to help me feed him…” She said.
“I’ll help.” The wolf said a bit softer than when he was talking with her, and Dawn started to doubt her ears and eyes, even if she could see the big wolf following the girl.
“What will happen to me now?” She said as she weakly fell to the ground as her knees gave up.

Kai followed the girl to the carriage and there he saw the boy sleeping quietly. His breath was calm and no coughing could be heard. He was just too pale, but he had started to gain a small bit of color on his sickly face.
“He started to look better.” He said to the girl after a few minutes. “Tell me the reason you started to scold me.” He said looking at the girl, who started to play with the long clothes she was wearing.
“I don’t want to see people thinking that Mister Wolf is bad…” She said as her face turned a bit red. “You see… Daddy wouldn’t say it, but he thought that Mister Wolf was bad, so I wanted to show him you weren’t… but Daddy didn’t listen to me…” She continued and Kai couldn’t help but nod at the girl’s thought.
“You’re wrong. I’m not bad but I’m not good either.” He said looking at the girl’s eyes. “I’m only doing things I want to do.” He finished saying before he looked outside. It was still raining but night had already fallen. “Sleep inside the carriage with your brother, wake me up if anything is about to happen… and girl, don’t free the woman… I’ll give her clothes tomorrow morning.” He said after he saw the girl walking up to the carriage.
“Okay. Mister Wolf, goodnight… and thank you.” The girl said before she entered the carriage.
“Rest well, child.” Kai said as he lied down between the carriage and the second room.

“Phew… It is starting to get hard to act normally like that.” Paul said as he appeared on the white space after he logout of his character.
“Yoho!” Isis appeared before him, she was wearing a female tuxedo while her purple hair was tied into a business bun on her head.
“So, why you’re here?” Paul asked as he looked at the AI.
“Well… I want you to fill a few things for me, you know… you just killed humans and I have to monitor the players so I get to see if that will make them have weird actions when outside…” She said as a tablet appeared on her hands together with a pen. “Let’s get started with the survey.” She said with a smile.
“I do not have a choice, right?” Paul asked and the AI nodded. “Then let’s go with it.” He said and answered the questions he was asked to.
It didn’t take long and he was free to go.
“You did a good job there, but you sure are a pervert… to take all the woman’s clothes…” Isis said as she used her hands to cover her breasts.
“Knock that off already! You know the reason I did that!” Paul answered while his face turned completely red.
“I know you took them to see if she had any other weapon, but you know… you did not have to let her stay naked.” She said taunting the boy before her.
“Stop with that and I’m going out.” Paul said as he logged out using the main menu.
Paul took the helmet off and dashed all the way to the bathroom and after that he walked to the kitchen to get something to eat before he had to go back to the game.
‘Another day is coming inside the game and I don’t even know if there are others players around the area I started, not taking the odd girl that attacked me out of nowhere.’ He thought as he ate some bread and drunk a glass of milk.
Paul stood there for few seconds after he finished eating, he had nothing to do for a few hours and decided to head back to his room, but before going he washed the glass he used and the plate.
He sat before his laptop and decided to see if he had anything new to read while he talked with his internet friends for an hour or so before he logged back in.

Kai woke up and looked around but saw that nothing was different than before, only the rain have gotten really heavy and some thunders could be seen and heard.
“This night… the humans will probably be scared to death.” He murmured as he remembered the kids’ mother crying the names of the two.
‘And now that I think… I do not remember the girl's and the boy’s names.’ Kai thought as he looked at the carriage. ‘That woman too, but it is not like I can remember every name I hear, faces are easier.’ He continued before standing up to walk around the dungeon once.
He looked at the herbs, fruits, berries, mushrooms and the prisoner woman at least once before he walked back to the corridor between the first and second room.

Terra stood while holding a broken wooden sword on her hands.
“You're too weak!” A voice came from a beast before her. “To think the challenge was accepted, you're trying to win?” The animal said as his minions circled around Terra, her minions were broken and on the floor, small red crystals could be seen inside their broken chests.
“I won't die without a fight!” She shouted as she placed the broken sword before her body.
“I don't mind that, but I'll not totally destroy you, I would be troubled if you were to be sealed off again.” The beast answered and attacked the small doll.
Terra tried to defend herself but her broken sword did nothing to repel the beast that jumped on her.
The sword finished breaking and together with it her arm. She did not feel pain, but just a small discomfort and the sensation that she couldn't move her arm.
Terra panicked as the beast broke her doll before she was trashed and only the red gem on her chest was left intact.
“Weak, but thanks for your DP.” The beast said with a smile on his lips. “I will see you in a few days, try to grow stronger until there.” It said before turning back and leaving her dungeon.
You lost while trying to defend your dungeon. 150 DP lost.
Terra’s consciousness was still there, and all she could do was stare at the open window before her.
Her body was broken and she couldn't move, her minions destroyed even after she gave them more power she still lost.
‘I-I can't do anything alone. Terra thought as tears started to fall at the ground. ‘My dolls are too weak…’ She completed.
“And the PVP already started.” A voice sounded near Terra and when she shifted her focus she found another doll standing up. “Yo there.” The AI said. “I will say one thing, you lost today, but don't be so sad, many people too lost and others lost more times than you, just log out for now and wait for half an hour until your body is repaired.” She added as she looked at the crying round gem.
“But I lost…” Terra said. “I wanted to be strong…” She added and Isis petted the gem.
“There is no problem now. Just focus on you. Remember what I said, PVP can only start if both accept.” The AI said with a smile.
“But there are PK!” The crystal shouted at Isis. “He easily broke my dolls, the next time he will finish me even faster.” She added with a sad voice.
“PK might exist, that is why there is this PVP method… while PK, well, sure they still gain points, but they are far less than PVP and they can't conquer the dungeon and assemble your Dungeon Core at themselves to close you and absorb your DP.” Isis explained. “And you can always make party if you feel that you're not strong enough.” She said to the gem.
“But with whom?” Terra asked the AI?
“With anyone, and here we go, a forced logout, but fear not, while you're there the dungeon will be repairing itself and 2 minions of the weakest race will be generated to help you grow back to your former strength.” Isis said before Terra’s consciousness turned black.
