The hunting pair hadn’t caught anything at the first three days because they couldn’t get the smaller animals so the next two choices were made. It was at the seventh day that Kai finally leveled up once more, he was level three and decided to look for a skill for his boss but he cried at the price but he choose one that was a perfect for him. Howl.

He was lucky to be able to find another 9 Rotting Wood Boxes and combined they gave him 47 DP, he was happy and decided to set the next monster.

Kai summoned another wild dog and set it to be on guarding duty together with the first, now his number of subordinates were 6 and he had 3 pairs of minions.

‘I need to think on a way to use these.’ Kai thought as he looked at his minions once they all stopped to eat. ‘It will take another 8 days before the dungeon is open and then we will be able to go out to hunt.’ He said licking his lips clean.

At the dawn of the fifteenth day, Kai looked at his dungeon. The first room was 250 square meters, 25mX10m, then a small corridor that stretched for 2 meters before it opened into a 5mx5m room. It was small but he was using this place as the Boss’ lair.

He smiled as he looked at the number of DP and decided that his second room was too small, so he used some of his points to make more room, he exchanged 119 DP so the room would expand to a total of 144 square meters, making it a 12x12 meters room.

With 49 DP left he did nothing and instead looked at the digging pair, which were both working separately in two walls as to make two more corridors to the side.

“It is about time.” Kai said as he felt the seal weaken. He could feel it since before as if it was a part of himself and now he could feel that the seal was about to break, he walked to the ‘door’ and sat before it.

He watched as the ‘door’ cracked, it was slowly spreading and once it covered the entrance door completely, it started crumbling.

Kai watched in awe, as he saw the debris fall and the sun’s warmth bath the dungeon’s entrance. He felt refreshed as the wind blew inside the room. He couldn’t suppress his urge so he let it go.

Standing up Kai placed his right front paw on the floor at the same time he threw his head up and howled. It was loud, loud enough to make the earth under his feet tremble.

He howled and soon the six minion peeked the sound and they too howled, their howl was smaller and weaker, but they were all full of excitement, they had understood the meaning of their Boss’ howl and they quickly answered it with one of their own.

“Your dungeon grew really well.” A voice sounded from behind. “Hello Kai, your dungeon is something I would say, perfect.” Kai looked back and what he saw was the doll he had tried to destroy over and over again walking.

“So you’re back…” He said sitting down. “So, what with this strange doll?” He asked the goddess.

“This, is what you think it is. It is a way for me to manifest my body in this world without breaking its laws. You see, I can appear when you players are doing the tutorial without breaking the balance of this world, but out of that, I can do nothing… so I gave this doll to you, and some other players as a way to interact with them.” She said as she spun around her feet. “Ain’t I great?” Isis puffed her chest asking to be praised.

“No… that just made me aware of your presence more than everything… I didn’t know when you would appear so I decided to leave the doll locked somewhere, but you broke the lock already…” Kai said as he looked at the doll.

“What can I say, this is my Idol, so nothing can lock it, by the way, that howl was good, it might have frightened some small critters though.” Isis said petting Kai’s foreleg. “And you grew really well, are you aiming to be a Fenrir or something similar?” She asked.

“I don’t know… maybe later.” Kai said as he looked to the sun. “I never thought I would like to bask under the sunlight.” He said surprised.

“It is because your dungeon’s ‘sun’ is still weak. Later it will grow to look like the real sun.” Isis said and she continued to pet the leg. “Oh yeah, this doll will grow a bit later, but nothing more than my real body, so let me ride you when this small body of mine is at the right height.” She said looking at Kai.

“No. I can’t be seen as a lowly mount… even for the goddess of this world. This dungeon is my world, as you said.” Kai said looking at the small doll.

“Cheapskate.” Isis said as she crossed her arms. “I’ll be leaving here, and for you to not lose this awesome doll of mine, here.” She said and the doll vanished before a small bangle appeared on his left foreleg. It was made from a silver metal and at the front a purple crystal with small blue dots could be seen. “This way you will not feel lonely.” She chuckled.

“You small goddess!” Kai roared as he bit the bracelet but was unable to take if off. “You… why the hell do you have to mess with me?” He asked powerlessly as he walked back to his dungeon to see what he could do.

“Because it’s fun~!” Isis’ voice answered from the bracelet.

At the forest, many other noises raised startling many animals as they felt many powerful openings appearing all over the place and even though they felt that the world had changed, it made some of the animals grow more excited while others feared for their own lives.

It wasn’t only the animals that felt the air changing. The humans, beast people, elves and dwarves felt the change on the world.

The world didn’t shake but the air changed, it was more dangerous than normal and the people felt that the day of the prophecy had finally arrived.

Messages ran all over the place as the kings and queens discussed about their course of action against the new ‘threat’ that the goddess had said that would appear on the future.

“Had you all forgotten what the Goddess told us? The Prophecy said to not discriminate against this new ‘threat’. They are not all dangerous, we might get to reason with some of them.” The Elf Queen said as she looked at the astral projection of the others rulers.

“Who gives a damn if some aren’t dangerous!? The goddess called them ‘all’ a fucking threat! If they are a threat then it doesn’t matter of one or two are less dangerous!” The Human King said slamming his fist.

“Calm down. Ain’t yall forgetin’ somethin’?” The Dwarf King said as he looked at the others. “The Goddess said they ‘might’ be a threat.” He said before drinking a giant mug that was placed before him. “Yall just too weak.” He laughed as he pointed his mug to the Human King.

“What did you say? My men aren’t weak! You’re just as mighty as my chest!” The Human King said as he once more slammed his fist on the table.

“Men sure are weird.” Said a beautiful woman with beautiful red wings on her back. “You only think about going into war, think with your head, not with your muscles.” She was the Queen of the Beast People.

“Ma’am, what ya said might be true, but we ain’t weak.” The Dwarf King said to the Beast Queen. “We love fights, but we not like losing.” He said sitting back on his chair.

“We don’t need to fight against each other, not when this possible threat is growing stronger as we speak.” The Elf Queen said with a sigh. “The Goddess didn’t tell us what they were but I found some clues after years of research.” She said and the other three moved their heads to look at her.

“Then what this ‘threat’ is, woman.” The Human King said eagerly. He wasn’t calm because he had been taunted by the Dwarf King.

“They are ‘Dungeons’.” She said not minding the Human King’s words. “They are lairs of monsters that will birth them in a fast pace.” She explained and looked at the Beast Queen.

“Oh, those things?” The Beast Queen answered. “Our nation has some of those, but they aren’t strong enough to be called a threat. Dungeons die if you break their core, which is placed on a wall, most of the time.” She said showing a broken red gem to all the people that were before her.

“So this is what we must break…” The Human King said getting his composure back, but not without glaring at the Dwarf King. “These lairs… we had found some all over our kingdom since the early days. They’re not a real threat at all, there is no strong being inside them.” He said with a smile.

“Those are those, these are these.” A different voice startled the four rulers and they all looked at the center of the room. “The dungeon this time around is a different type of dungeon, they not just some weak instinct driven consciousness, they are true intelligent beings and good job for you two, Elf and Beast Queen. You discovered what the ‘threat’ is.” Isis said as she sat on the air.

“My Goddess… we weren’t expecting you to appear before us.” The four rulers said before they bowed their heads.

“There is no need for that. Today I only came to tell you that this new dungeons are intelligent and can be argued with, but you all need to be alert, they aren’t as weak as the ones you had found until now.” Isis said with a smile. “This information is my present for you all, if it wasn’t for the Queens, nothing would have been said.” She informed the rulers.

“The information is that these new dungeons are really alive… so this means that we don’t need to go on a full war with them.” The Beast Queen said sighing in relief. “If we can reason with them, we might be to gain some benefits from it.” She said and the Elf Queen nodded.

“Oh yeah, some won’t be friendly at first, but try your best since they are new to this world. Reason with them if you want or slaughter them, that is your choice.” Isis said with shrug before she vanished as she came.

“I thank ya both, misses.” The Dwarf King said as he showed his mug towards the queens. “For ya effort, we might gain thin’s!” He said before he gulped down the dwarf wine inside the mug.

“I don’t know what to think… this is too new to me.” The Human King said as he rested his back on his chair. “To think that the Goddess brought us these dangerous beings…” He sighed as he looked at the sky.

“They are dangerous, but as the Goddess said, they can give us benefits.” The Elf Queen said after thinking for a few seconds. “We should not rush, let us approach this carefully, we need to see how this will go.” She said and the Beast Queen and Dwarf King nodded their heads.

“I’ll let my army be warned about this threat, they are to protect the citizens if monsters attack my towns.” The Human King said finally. “I’ll not let these damn monster lairs have their way with my kingdom.” He said looking at the other three.

“I will protect my people as well, but I’ll not slaughter them all.” The Beast Queen said as she looked at the sky. “Today was the day of the change, might the Goddess look over us.” She prayed to the sky.

“Ya said everythin’!” The Dwarf King slammed his mug on the table with a giant smile on his face. “Protect the people, not kill thall’, get things, be rich!” He said before he started laughing.

“So we three agree in letting them ‘free’ but we must know what they are up to, pay attention to their growth, and prepare to take action once we found the dangerous ones.” The Elf Queen said with a smile of her own.

“You’re all crazy… I’ll let them go for now, but be warned that my knights will soon start cleaning all these damn things from my cities.” The Human King said before his astral form disappeared.

“He is not as smart as he was in the past.” The Beast Queen said looking at the empty chair.

“He changed…” The Elf Queen said before the others too vanished. “These Dungeons… I feel like The Goddess didn’t tell us everything, she said they were intelligent, but how much? How many were brought? Too many questions, but for now, we have a good leading way.” She said before she walked away from the conference room.

Isis saw the Elf Queen and the Beast Queen ask the same questions before a smile floated on her lips.

“These two sure have a good head on their shoulders, but the Human King might soon be killed if he enrage some of the dungeons around the capital city.” She said as she walked around a small map of the world.

She was watching the rulers to see their actions and liked how they all acted while thinking about protecting their races, but at the same time she thought that they would be soon defeated if any of the dungeons felt too threatened by them.

“I should give the dungeons a way to move around if they want… being in one place might be sad for them… but let’s observe for now.” Isis said as she sat on the air. “No one really knows what the new dungeons are, so they will take their time before they act.” She said with a smile as she continued to watch over the world.
