《I am the supreme evils daughter》Chapter 3: Confronting the Supreme Evil
Advertisement
Ralto Doombringer and his wife Isabella are now bored out of their minds. This group of heroes sure take their sweet time to confront them. During the dead time they busied themselves with getting paperwork done and playing card games. How can they be so calm despite their home being raided at this very moment? It is a matter of many years of experience.
"Dear, at this rate the carpet will never get replaced." Ralto talked casually with his wife Isabella as he stared out into space on his throne. This was one of many thoughts which went through his mind this very moment. Danger was not even once at his mind at all though.
"Mhmm, darling. Our bed is still covered in blood too. How annoying, tch." Isabella laments and lets out a sigh while playing with her hair. The never ending source of trouble has left their once pristine home in a state of disrepair. She then started to lightly tap her foot onto the tiled floor.
Ni'rei meanwhile has a look of bewilderment on her. She thought they are crazy for taking this so casually. At this point she wondered what she has got herself into. According to the wanted jobs poster they needed a messenger. Skill and experience wasn't taken into account. So did she pick the short straw this time, and is now working for a suicidal employer?
"They are getting closer~" Sings Isabella in a mocking tone. She then starts humming and puts one of her legs on top of the other while leaning back comfortably in her cushioned throne. Looks like she is getting ready for a grand show to start. If only she had popcorn, then the experience would be complete.
"Finally! I can't wait to get this over with!" Cries Ralto out in joy as he snaps out of his daydreaming. He can't wait to get off this throne. Ralto have many hobbies he enjoy partaking in, and tonight he would have a scrap booking session with his family. So the faster he can get this over with, the better. The time of a supreme evil is very precious these days.

After ten minutes, the sounds of bashing are heard from the other side of the throne room door. This just makes Ralto and Isabella to start sighing. The look of irritation is very noticeable on them. "The door is not locked you idiots!" They screamed internally. After a minute or so, muffled chatter was heard behind the door. And after that "Aha!" sounds are heard as they opened the door a bit instead. The heroes finally figured out the door was unlocked.
With a loud slam the door swung open, and the force was strong enough that one of the hinges are ruined, which causes the door to lie limp on the wall. Then three people could be seen in the vacant door frame, and behind them at least a hundred more people. The main three stepped forward to the steps near the thrones with their weapons and magic at the ready.
"This is it for you supreme evil! Face your death with dignity!" Yelled the white armored man with golden eyes and blood tipped hair. He pointed his enormous flaming sword at Ralto which did not even acknowledge him.
"Hahaha, this castle will be ours, and there is nothing you can do about it." Mocked the black armored man with the giant hammer which rested on his shoulder. Isabella simply looked at him as if he is a mere irritation.
"You guys love your role play. Let's get this fight over with." Says a female voice in a mismatched set of armor. Ni'rei simply gives her a death glare and then puts her arms behind her back.
"Hahaha! The last group of heroes did not even bother talking to me!" Ralto said cheerfully, because talkative heroes put him in a good mood. Taunting heroes is one of his more newly acquired hobbies over the years. "Say... Who sent you this time? Archangel Gabriel? The Society of Champions?"

The three invaders in front of him looked at each other and now felt unsure of what Ralto was talking about. Then slammed the black armored man down his giant hammer onto the ground which caused the floor tiles to crack all around him.
"None of them sent us here! This is purely a conquest for the Heavenly Alliance!" The man then points at Ralto. "All we desire is that everyone in this castle die, and that the castle is comes under our control." He then makes a cutting motion across his throat. Ralto just sighs and looks unimpressed as ever. Ralto must had heard this line for the thousandth time now.
"I would love you to try!" Ralto says as he stands up while scoffing at the pathetic claim made by this invader. He puts both his hands on the sides of his waist and give the invaders a dead serious look. "The day you as much as breathe at my family, is the day I will personally torment your soul all eternity."
Isabella now yawns. The show has not yet started which makes her already low levels of excitement almost non existent. She had much more excitement in her life when she was a beggar at the lowest level of hell. Ever since she and her husband fell in love down there, the dangers of life simply ceased to exist.
Suddenly do everyone look toward the hallway coming out from the side of Isabella. Footsteps and yawning are heard along with a leathery scraping sound. The invaders start sounding nervous as they ready their weapons. Another horror arriving onto the scene?
As the footsteps stopped echoing and the source of it stepped in, a remarkable sight could be seen...

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.
