《Dragon Cross》Chapter 9: Return to Dragon Cross

Everyone’s gazes turned to the man in golden robes, it was evident that he was their leader. The man thought for a while but then said, “Since his dantian is shot, he is not a problem any more for now. Just in case, speed up your preparations.”
Hearing this, Blood Immortal nodded his head as he understood the meaning behind the order. The man in golden robes raised his head and said, “Our Cosmos is decaying fast. In a few more thousand years, it will implode. We need to secure Dragon Cross Cosmos before that or we will not have a place to live.”
Blood Immortal nodded his head seriously as he knew just how bad the situation was with their own Cosmos. Their Cosmos had been ravaged by wars far too long and far too badly for it to recover. The Qi was scattering and becoming scarce, the Dao’s were becoming fragmented and the Heavens were slowly collapsing. At most, their Cosmos had a thousand years left before it couldn’t sustain itself any more and would collapse.
Also, it was because of this that Blood Immortal did not dare to take any chances. It had taken him over ten thousand years to lay down the ground work and establish the Blood Immortal Conclave. The number of people coming over from their Cosmos was enormous and if they just suddenly appeared here, they would be hunted down by all the powers in this Cosmos to keep the balance. It was obvious because if someone else had invaded their own Cosmos like they were currently doing, they would annihilate them thoroughly to set an example to others.
Since it had taken over ten thousand years to create Blood Immortal Conclave, they did not have any room for mistakes any more. They just lacked the time to rebuild it, so Blood Immortals choice to bow his head in case of the miniscule chance that Jack knew what the Mask could do. If Jack destroyed their Headquarters, it would be the same as destroying their chances of survival. Each one of the old men present had practised cultivation for countless years, so they were all extremely prideful.
They all felt admiration towards Blood Immortal for being able to lower his head towards a Core Formation brat just in case. They didn’t ridicule him at all in their hearts but they were wondering whether they would also be able to put the big picture as the priority and lower their head to someone whose cultivation was so much lower than them.
The golden robed old man said, “Keep an eye on that boy. His dantian may be destroyed but there are countless miracle medicines out there that allow a person to be reborn anew or rebuild their dantian.” Blood Immortal nodded his head seriously and after seeing the nod, the golden robed man left. Soon after, everyone gave words of advice to Blood Immortal and left as well.
When Blood Immortal was the only one left in the room, he looked up and said to himself, “Only half a century left. Then all of the preparation’s will be done and I will be able to see you again.” It was unknown who he was talking about but from the gentle gaze in his eyes, it was obvious it was someone important to him.

At the teleportation portal in Dragon Cross, there were two people currently keeping watch over it. This specific teleportation portal was rarely used, so if it saw any movement once a year or so, it was already good. The teleportation portal was directly linked to all the paper Seal’s used by Hidden Dragon, so unless it was extremely urgent, it wasn’t used.
One of the youth’s that was wearing Third Generation robes asked the other one, “What’s the point of us guarding this thing, no one ever uses it right?” The other Disciple was a middle aged man and his cultivation was at the late stage of Nascent Soul Realm. The middle aged man looked at the youth and said, “This is an extremely important portal. It is only used by Hidden Dragon members, of course it is rarely used.”
The middle aged man was quite annoyed by the youth. He had been paired with this youth half a year ago but the youth rarely did his job. Most of the time he was either slacking off or just sleeping. Just as the youth wanted to say something more, a portal opened up. The middle aged man immediately rose to his feet and cupped his hands in welcome of the senior coming. However, he was greeted by a frantic young woman who had a youth with his dantian pierced on her shoulder.
The girl was extremely beautiful but her usual beauty was currently gone. When her eyes fell to the middle aged man, she yelled at him, “Quickly get a Healer!” The middle aged man came back to his senses and immediately roared to the young man next to him, “Go and report this to an Enforcement Elder!” The youth however didn’t listen to him and kept staring at the young woman blankly. Seeing this the middle aged man directly appeared next to the young man and punched him straight in the face.
This brought the young man back to his senses and just as he was about to yell at the middle aged man, the middle aged man took him by the neck and said in a cold tone, “GO! REPORT! THIS! TO! AN! ENFORCEMENT! ELDER!” As he emphasized every words loudly, the young man felt scared of him for the first time. The young man immediately freed himself from grip and started running towards the Enforcement Hall like the Devil was snapping at his heels.
-The middle aged man picked up the young man with one hand and the young woman who also had no cultivation with the other hand and started flying towards the Medicine Hall. He hadn’t made sure whether the young woman and the young man were actually a part of Dragon Cross but currently he did not care either.
The two had appeared from a portal that was only used by those of Hidden Dragon, so even if they weren’t a part of Dragon Cross, they had some connection with it. When the middle aged man raced through the skies, it brought the dismay of a lot of cultivators. It was forbidden to fly inside the city so seeing someone break the rules like that made everyone frown. However, when they scanned over the group and saw that someone was critically injured like that, they decided to turn a blind eye to that. Every rule had an exception and this was one of the exceptions. It was obvious that the young man being carried was critically injured so it was ludicrous to have the middle aged man run on the ground and risk the young man dying.

The middle aged man didn’t ask any questions from the woman but rather focused his whole attention on flying through the skies as fast as possible. Soon he reached the Medicine Hall and as he blasted through the door, he was greeted by a lot of angry gazes but he didn’t give anyone the chance of saying anything before he said in a loud voice, “I am Shi Black. I guard the Hidden Dragon teleportation portal and I need a Healer right now!” As he said that in one breath, everyone’s gazes fell onto the bloody youth in the middle aged man’s arm. Hearing the words “Hidden Dragon”, some people of the staff quickly took the bloody youth from the middle aged man’s arms and quickly brought him to a room and started giving first aid treatment until a high level Healer arrived.
After the young man was taken form his arms, he also let the young woman down. A member of the staff arrived at the two and asked, “What is his name?” The middle aged man looked at the young woman and said, “I don’t know, she should.” The staff members gaze also came to rest on the young woman and she said blankly, “His name is Fang Jack. His Master is the Enforcement Hall Ancestor Meng Tiger.” After hearing the name of Jack’s Master, everyone who heard the conversation immediately paled. Jack’s Master’s temper was exactly like his name, a Tigers.
Some of the personal even gulped loudly because except for the Master, every single one of his Disciples was a person that no one wanted to mess with. Also, it was very well known that the relationship between the Disciples themselves and also with their Master was far closer than families. They were truly people that would give up everything for one another and now one of that berserker “family” was lying at the Medicine Hall on a bed with a broken dantian. It was obvious that all Hell is going to break loose.
It didn’t take long for an Enforcement Elder to come to the Medicine Hall. When he was told who exactly was brought to there, he immediately paled as he quickly flew back to tell the Ancestor. It was as if the news had feet as it spread like a wildfire and in a few hours, nearly the entire Sect knew about it. If it were any other Hidden Dragon member, not many would have cared but the person in question this time was a well known person himself. Although his reputation was bad amongst the lower circles of disciples, the higher the hierarchy went, the better they knew of his contributions and his true temper.
In less than half a day, the entire Medicine Hall was surrounded by people and most of them radiated a killing aura that scared off any person that dared to come too close. Inside a single bed room, there were currently 6 people inside besides the one that laid on the bed. Jack, who was lying on the bed, was still unconscious as the six people stood there. One of them was sitting on the bed as she looked at Jack with a worrying gaze. Next to him was standing Jack’s Master Meng Tiger. Besides these two, there were 4 more people in the room and three of them were the Hall Ancestor’s like Tiger.
The last person was a young man wearing a black shirt, vest with a hood, long black pants. He looked like any other youth however, his eyes were blood red like a serpents. The young man with serpent eyes asked the young woman, “What happened to him Lust?” The young woman lowered her head as she said, “I don’t know. This time, the usual routine was broken as the Blood Immortal summoned us.” After saying that, she narrated everything that had happened in the hall down to every last detail she knew. She finished by saying, “He first pushed me into the portal and then followed behind but when I saw him again in the tunnel, he was already like this.”
Hearing the explanation, the faces of all the people present changed serious. The young man asked again, “Did he accomplish the mission?” Lust nodded her head and took Jack’s Spacial Ring. She passed it to the young man and said, “He told me to give this to you and tell you that inside the Ring there are 10 Red Seal’s that will allow you to create 10 Portals to their Headquarters.” The young man accepted the Ring and after a moments pause he stood up from his half sitting position and said, “Tiger, go and mobilize the entire Enforcement Hall. I will contact the other powers and pass a Seal to each.”
Hearing this order, Tiger’s face changed as he asked cautiously, “Island Master?” The young man called Island Master answered, “We are at war! If I delayed our most opportune moment for this, Dragon Cross would not have survived until now.”
This sentence made everyone astonished.
