Lust didn’t seem to be fazed by what Jack. She just kept curling his hair around her finger as she kept talking, “Have you rethought about my proposition of joining Blood Immortal Conclave?” Without waiting for Jack to answer, she kept explaining the merits, “If you join, I can take you under my wing and make you my personal disciple. You should know that our power far exceeds what we have shown on the surface.”

After saying so, she shut up. It seemed as though she had said everything that needed to be said. Jack however didn’t even think about it before he coldly answered, “My answer still stands…. NO!” Hearing this, the face of the young woman distorted a little before she promptly fixed it. However, her hands that were twirling Jack’s hair now started pulling it.

She didn’t seem to hear Jack’s answer as she said, “You still have a lot of time to think over our proposition. We have all the time in the world.” As she said so, she ran her hand through Jack’s hair as she put his head down.

Just as she stood up, the Old Ancestor Sheng approached Lust with cupped hands and said, “We thank you for your help.” Lust glanced at the old man and just said annoyed, “Whatever…. If it hadn’t been for Little Demon, I wouldn’t even be here.”

As she said that, she turned her back towards the old man and swept her hand out towards Jack. Following that, Jack gently lifted up from the ground as he floated there, following Lust’s commands. The old man was completely dumbstruck by Lust’s answer because from it, he understood that if it weren’t for Jack, there probably wouldn’t have been any reinforcements. Jack tried to struggle but the invisible hand that was tightly holding him, did not relent one bit.

Lust then walked next to Jack and gently stroke his cheek as she said, “Let’s go home now. There you will have a lot of time to see the merits of joining Blood Immortal Conclave.” Jack however just kept struggling and tried to get his head away from the woman’s touch as if it were the most poisonous think in existence.

The woman just lightly chuckled to that and turned to leave. She threw down a paper Seal and as it ignited, a gate started rising from the ground. The gate’s were as big as city gates and on each of the doors was the face of a ferocious beast. It only took a few moments for the enormous gate to completely rise up from the ground. In front of the gates, two bloody figures looked at Lust as she approached with Jack. One of the figures opened his mouth to say, “Lust, how many times are you going to try and get him on our side? It did not work the last 8 times, what makes you think that it will work this time?”

Hearing that, Lust’s face distorted as she angrily retorted, “This time will be different. This time, I will show him just how much I care about him.” After saying so, she swept her head with a “Hmpmh!” and started walking through the gates. The two gatekeepers however just lowered their heads. Over the past 4 years, she had brought Jack in through the gates 8 times already saying that he will be her beloved.

However, at most a month later, she would flip the Headquarters upside down looking for Jack. The first time, no one paid it any attention but after Jack disappeared into thin air for the third time, even the Blood Immortal started feeling interested in Jack. No one knew how Jack escaped and even though the Blood Immortal himself was keeping an eye on him, he escaped. He didn’t just escape, he disappeared into thin air. A few months would pass and then Lust would come through the gates again with Jack in tow. Jack looked at the two gatekeepers with a complicated face.

These two gatekeepers were different form the usual ones, usually living people were guarding the entrance but this time, there were two clones made of blood here. Jack tried to struggle a little more and suddenly a very faint red light dropped from his hand to the ground. On the moment of impact, it disappeared into the ground. This little move escaped the attention of everyone present and Jack just released a deep breath of relief in his heart.

Since this wasn’t his first time being dragged to the Headquarters of Blood Immortal Conclave, he wasn’t as astonished of the sight of the majestic city. He was still a bit shocked but when he first laid his eyes on the enormous city, he was completely dumbstruck. On the streets there were stalls after stalls selling herbs, materials, Artefacts, Arts, Pills. Countless people browsed the stalls and inspected the things that caught their eye more closely.

Jack was also a bit familiar with the streets and he expected Lust to turn right at an intersection, leading to her house. However, she did not do that but rather she kept going forward, towards the central area where the Blood Immortal lived. Seeing this, Jack’s eyes flashed as he quickly asked, “Didn’t you say that the Central Area is off limits?”

Lust turned towards him and gently said, “Usually yes. Even I, a direct disciple of Master Blood Immortal can’t enter without permission but when we entered the city, Master told me to bring you to him.” Hearing this, Jack’s heart sank as he thought to himself, “Fuck, what does that shitfuck want with me?” However, Jack did not let it show on his face as he kept a straight, cold face.

In the field next to Sheng City, there were 23 people in black robes. On the robes of seven people was an Emblem of Dragon Cross. The rest had different Emblems, indicating that they were from other powers. The 23 people all had a rigid cold face as they stared all stared at the same spot on the ground.

That spot was where the flash of red had disappeared to before. One of the middle aged men, that had an emblem of a mountain and axe, approached a person that had a Dragon Cross Emblem and said, “Brother Ivar, calm yourself. It seems as though something unexpected had happened to your Junior Brother.”

The person that was called Ivar glanced at the middle aged man and said, “Let’s go back. We need to report this to the higher ups.” No one refuted Ivar and just nodded their heads to him. It was obvious from the intense killing intent that Ivar was currently on the very edge of exploding. No one wanted to be the person that drew his wrath, so they obediently did as he said. One of the people present glanced at a giant crater nearby and just shook his head. The crater was formerly known as Sheng City but now all that was left of it was a giant hole.

When nearly everyone had left, the middle aged man stopped Ivar from entering the portal as he said seriously, “You know the mission given to him by the Alliance right? Even if something happened to him, there would be nothing we can do.” He took a breath as his voice lowered, “For better or worse, he is the only person that can accomplish that mission. Don’t create more danger for him!”

After saying so, he directly entered the portal. Ivar looked at the back of the middle aged man and when he had left, he lowered his head, “Don’t think I don’t know the importance of that mission.” After saying so, he hesitated for a moment before stepping into the portal.

In a majestic conference room, seven people sat at a long rectangular table. At the head of the table was a scrawny old man with a sinister bloody aura. At each side of him, sat three people with black and white hair like Lust. At the other side of the table, Lust stood next to Jack and kept playing with his hair as Jack hovered in mid air, looking towards the old man.

The old man sized up Jack and his eyes seemed to be filled with immense interest as he asked, “How were you able to escape before?” Without even as much as introducing himself, he just jumped directly to the main point of why he summoned him here. Jack looked at the old man coldly and gave a slight smile as he said, “Trade secret.” Hearing this, the old man frowned.

He looked at Jack coldly as he asked in a chilling tone, “Do you know who you are talking to brat?” A shiver ran through Jack but he still kept the slight smile on his face as he answered, “I presume that you are the Blood Immortal, the person responsible for all the mayhem lately.” Hearing this, astonishment was evident in the eyes of everyone at the table. This was the first time they heard someone with such a low cultivation base act so arrogantly in front of Blood Immortal.

The old man’s eyes flashed, “Since you know who I am, you still dare to put on airs in front of me?” As the old man said that, killing intent started heading towards Jack. After Jack was hit with the killing intent, his whole body was drenched in cold sweat as he still kept the smile and said, “You call it putting on airs, I call it not giving a fuck.” After saying so, Jack felt the killing intent bearing down on him multiply.

He felt as though he was looking straight at a pissed of dragon that had had his ass kicked while he had been sleeping. The temperature of the room fell by a few degrees as he asked, “Do you think that I do not dare to kill you brat?” After these words echoed out, Lust looked at the old man angrily but after she saw the sinister eyes of the old man, she held her tongue. Jack however just let out a chuckle as he said, “Then kill me.” Hearing these words astonished even the old man.

No matter how just or hard headed a person seemed, when faced with the threat of dying, they would generally bow their heads. There was a saying that as long as one lived, revenge was possible. However, to meet a person like Jack, that did not fear death was extremely rare. The old man stood up and walked directly in front of Jack. The closer he got, the more intense the killing intent got. When he was directly in front of Jack, Jack could not stop shaking from fear.

Even though he was shaking, it was a bodily reaction to all the killing intent. He himself had seen things far scarier than the old man back at the Ancient Battlefield. That was the only reason he was who he was, a person that did not fear death. If he feared death back at the Ancient Battlefield, he would have already gone insane and gotten himself killed.

Feeling that Jack was a bit peculiar, the old man just snorted, “Well, since you do not want to say it yourself, let me ask directly from your Soul.” After saying so, his bony hand clasped Jack’s head. The smile on Jack’s face grew a bit sinister. Just as the old man started scouring Jack’s memories, the old man suddenly saw an archaic Devil covered in black flames staring directly at him.

The Devil roared and the old man felt immense danger as he quickly took his hand off and shot to the other side of the room drenched in sweat. The old man looked at the smiling Jack with a hint of fear in his eyes but Jack just asked, “So, how’d it go?”
