Cain only used a single attack to destroy this clone.

“Congratulations for passing the final test young warrior. The inheritance exists right beyond this wall…”

A wall that had originally looked normal, starting sliding down into the floor, revealing a new room behind it. Cain walked into the room and saw a few things. One of the objects was a vile that had a single pill in it. The pill gave off a luster that was enchanting, just a single look would have weaker willed people go crazy, however Cain quickly shaked off this feeling before moving closer. Right beside the pill was a notebook. He picked up the note book and looked at the title that was written across the front.

‘The Greatest Gene - A Secret Lost in Time!”

He was instantly tempted by the title, so he opened the notebook and started reading.

‘Congrats, if you are currently reading this it means you have passed my inheritance test and are qualified to learn my secret. What exactly is ‘The Greatest Gene?’ Is there even such a thing? The common belief was that there was no greatest gene, because every gene had a weakness, fire was weak against water, strength was weak against speed. This seemed to be a universal fact - Everything had a weakness! Or was it? This secret wasn’t something I was originally intending to find, in fact I uncovered it by a complete accident, causing my own downfall. However you, my inheritor, with this secret, can reach a height no man has ever reached before. I warn you not to get arrogant, it will still be a very long journey ahead of you, so keep yourself safe, and always watch your back.’

‘As you can see, there should be a vial with a pill right next to this book. This was a pill I picked up at the place I originally found the secret. When I found the pill, I also found the pills creator, unfortunately he died right before he could consume this gene. Later the same curse plagued me, before I was given a chance to consume this gene, I was killed, forcing myself to leave it here. I’ve realized that this gene may be cursed by the heavens, something that wields too much power. Even though I have no idea what kind of abilities this gene will bestow its owner, I do know that its a power that will allow you to reach the peak, and peer beyond it’

“Kid you should eat this thing fast. I’m worried old me was onto something. I’m starting to feel a little uncomfortable”

The second Oldman Belmon said that, the entire palace started shaking. It felt as if it was getting struck by an earthquake, threatening to cause its collapse. Cain quickly gripped the pill vial and the notebook in his hands, and bolted down the staircase, right back out the place. The palace shook severely before crashing down into the earth. Fortunately his ability emphasized speed, or else he would have been crushed under the weight of the palace, killing him completely.

“Dammit kid, we’ve got to escape fast. I’m afraid this entire underground world will collapse soon, killing us both”

Even with Cain’s current strength, he was very deep under the earth. The dirt above him weighed thousands of pounds, and being crushed under that wasn’t something he was currently capable of withstanding. He bolted back into the dull hallway he had entered from, and found the room with the hole in the wall. He crawled through the hole and found the small pond he had originally fell into. Only now though, did he realize the problem.

“Damn, stupid old me forgot to leave a viable exit. He probably wasn’t expecting this entire place to suddenly be on the verge of collapsing”

Cain wanted to call Oldman Belmon an idiot, but now wasn’t the time to argue. He had to come up with an escape plan. He looked around the room, but the only thing here was those crystals embedded on the wall.

“Oldman, what exactly are those crystals?”

“Kid, now’s not the time to be thinking of plundering some extra wealth. We’ve got to escape”

“Oldman I’m not that stupid, just tell me what those crystals are”

“Alright… Those are Ueldect Crystals. They are used as an energy source to power spaceships. They have quite the punch”

“So you could use them as an explosive?”

“Kid are you worried we aren’t dying fast enough. You want to speed up the process”

Cain ignored the Oldman, clearly they were never on the same wavelength. He quickly grabbed a crystal and swam to the bottom of the pond. He planted the crystal into the mud below, before swimming back to the surface.

“Oldman, you better pray this will work”

Cain swum to the middle of the pond, right below where the hole was. Picking up a pebble, he tossed it down into the pond with his full strength. The pebble streaked through the water before hitting the Ueldect Crystal head on. The force caused the crystal to explode, sending a powerful wave of energy shooting up, right towards where Cain was floating. The water acted as a cushion to weaken the blow enough as to allow Cain to survive its power. When the wave of energy struck him, he suddenly shot out of the pond at full force, flying back up the hole. He suddenly realized another problem, the pit that he had originally entered had already closed up.

He was starting to think the old mogel belmon was working with the heavens, out to get him...
