Xiao Long heard from his father that the reason his father was kicked out of the sect and pursued and the death of his mother was because he was schemed by others and branded a traitor of the sect. It was a serious offense to betray a sect hence why they were hunted down.

But what he didn’t know, there were other reasons and it was much simpler. Xiao Musheng was betrayed. And the Cloud sect was not the only one targeting their family back then.
