Crisp air and warm sunlight, Yan Xiu was riding on Bai Yuan. Their destination, the village's gate. Yan Xiu already done everything he needed to do. Other than the usual weapon belt and water jug containing green water, he had a backpack. Inside it was one set of clothes, a small container of sausages, and other necessity.

If Yan Xiu said he wasn't nervous, he'd be lying. Although he already used to hunting practice with Chen Hanchen and hunted a demon beast, he was still nervous.

When Yan Xiu and Bai Yuan arrived, they saw the two apprentice hunters waiting in front of the gate. Beside their weapons, they also wore a backpack. Seeing Bai Yuan, the two of them ran toward him. They've heard about Bai Yuan from their family and villagers, the story about a little boy tamed a demon beast.

They found it hard to believe, but now that they saw it with their own eyes, they couldn't help but believe it. To the two people who closing in on him, Bai Yuan ignored them. They were to weak to threaten him.

A Qi Refining stage would definitely not be able to stood against a Inner Foundation stage, the lower stage was incomparable in strength against the higher stage, this was a undisputed fact. Of course, there's always an exception, but such an exception was exceedingly rare.

For the two apprentice hunters of the fourth level of Qi Refining stage, they would never win against Bai Yuan, who was a third level of Inner Foundation stage. If they fought one-on-one, they would lose but if they fight in group, they would stand a chance. After all, number still played a part in fight.

The two went around Bai Yuan, marveling him. Although they have seen many demon beast, they've never had the chance to observed it up close while it still alive. Looking at the live demon beast was different experience than looking at the dead one or hunting them.

The first one to talked was the one using saber, Xin Guodan.

"Little brother, your demon beast is so cool!" (XG)

The one using axe, Shuang Jingu, joined in.

"Yeah! It looks so strong, so cool!" (SJ)

"Hey, can I touch it?" (XG)

"Sure, but not too much, okay?" (YX)

Xin Guodan and Shuang Jingu softly pet Bai Yuan, Bai Yuan didn't like it very much but if it's just a little, he'd let them. While the four of them playing around, the head hunter and the two seniors arrived.

Yan Xiu, seeing they arrived, hastily went down from Bai Yuan and went in line with Xin Guodan and Shuang Jingu, Bai Yuan sat down behind Yan Xiu. Xiao Musheng, with expressionless face, observed the three of them before he said something.

"As you all know, today we're going to the forest to hunt. I will remind you once more, that this is different from your training. While we will protect you, it's hard to say an accident will not happen. So, don't depend solely on us, or you will die.

But don't be too nervous either, just do as you usual do in the practice hunt and you should be fine. I've told you that we will camp there for a night, so I'm sure you have prepare sufficiently. Our target for this hunt are the Gudol Bird and One-horned bull, both are Inner Foundation stage demon beast, the quota is two for the bird and three for bull. And maybe some small sized prey.

Before we depart, if you have any questions, ask it now." (XM)

Yan Xiu raised his hand.

"Ask away, boy." (XM)

"Head hunter, how are we going to hunt? And can Bai Yuan join?" (YX)

"Good question. The ape demon beast is part of your strength, of course he can join. We're going to hunt in teams, the first team is you, three apprentices, the ape demon beast, and Chen Hanchen. The second team is me and Liu Feng. Any other question?" (XM)

No one raised their hands, Xiao Musheng waited for a moment before he declared.

"Then, let's depart!" (XM)

Yan Xiu climbed to Bai Yuan's shoulder as they depart. When they reached the Black Forest, Liu Feng lead the group. As they entered deeper to the forest, the tall verdant trees obstructed sunlight, making the forest darker.

It was the first time for Yan Xiu and the other two apprentice hunters to entered this part of the forest, they grew tense as they reacted to any sound and rustle. Chen Hanchen reminded of himself when he saw them, he wanted to caution them not to be too tense, but this was also training, they needed to get use to it or they would never grow as a hunter.

After a while, Yan Xiu and the other two apprentice hunters grew tired from being tense, looking at the calm seniors and head hunter, they tried to calmed down. Slowly, they managed to calmed down and not tense any more.

Liu Feng, who was leading them, suddenly slowed down and sneaked forward. The group followed him, they hide their presence and sneaked forward. Yan Xiu already went down from Bai Yuan.

They stopped and peeked from the bushes, about fifteen meters from them was a herd of black bulls. They were grazing, the herd were close to each other, the males with a single white horn growing from their temples were on the outer ring, the females and young were protected inside. The male bull's power range from second to third level of Inner Foundation stage.

"Those are the One-horned bulls, they're not that powerful but they are fast and group-oriented. If we just attack them, they will gang up on us and that's not going to be pretty." (LF)

"Then, how are we suppose to hunt them?" (XG)

"We need to show them that we are dangerous and not to be crossed. If we kill one of the male straight away, they will chose to run than fight. The plan is easy, kill one in one-hit and injured two in their legs, the rest of the herd will run and we hunt the bulls that left behind." (LF)

"They're not powerful, but still watch out for the horn or back kick. You guys will handle this, Chen Hanchen will kill one and you guys deal with the other two, got it?" (XM)

"Understood!" (Team1)

"Little Xiu, can I leave the other two to you?" (CH)

"Leave it to me!" (YX)

Chen Hanchen nodded and took one of his daggers and took aim, Yan Xiu grabbed two of his javelins and readied himself and waited for Chen Hanchen's strike, he would target the two bulls beside the one Chen Hanchen struck.

Chen Hanchen infused his Zhenqi inside his dagger and the dagger glowed with a tinge or red aura. Before the bulls took notice of his Zhenqi, Chen Hanchen threw his dagger at one of the bull, the dagger cut through air and stabbed the bull's head.

The bull fell and spams while letting out yells before going silent, the bulls yelled and turned to ran when they saw one of them died. Yan Xiu didn't waste time and threw his first javelin and hit one of the bull's leg, he threw the second one and hit a bull's leg once again.

The bulls with their legs hit yelled out in pain and stopped trying to ran and looked around angrily, while the rest of the herd already ran and disappeared into the woods.

"Now!" (CH)

With Chen Hanchen's yell, Yan Xiu, Bai Yuan and the two apprentice hunters ran out of the bushes and rushed to the bulls.

"Bai Yuan, took care of that one!" (YX)

"Raaawr! (Kill!)" (BY)

Bai Yuan roared as he ran toward the bulls, looking at Bai Yuan rushing toward it, the bull ignored the pain in his leg and charged at Bai Yuan. The bull's horn glowed with blue aura, Bai Yuan easily dodged the bull to the side, his fist glowed with brown aura as Bai Yuan punched the bull's face.

The impact of his fist threw the bull to the ground, the bull was disoriented as it's brain was wrecked by the fist, Bai Yuan joined his hands and brought it down as if it was a hammer, the bull's head crushed instantly by the force. The bull's body jerked a few times before going silent. Bai Yuan roared again, his bloodied hands thumped his chest.

Meanwhile, Yan Xiu finished his fight without tarnishing his hands. When Bai Yuan taking care of the other bull, Yan Xiu and the other two apprentice hunters rushed to the other bull.

Unlike the other bull, this one waited for the attacker to drew near. Xin Guodan rushed toward the bull and swung down his saber aiming at the bull's head. The bull's horn glowed with blue aura and struck the saber, Xim Guodan saber was repelled and his numbed because the bull's strike.

The bull tried to pierced Xin Guodan's body with it's horn, but Shuang Jingu went in front of Xin Guodan and defended against the horn with his axe. He managed to withstand the strike but two of them were thrown away.

The bulls charged at them but would Yan Xiu let it? He threw his needles and blinded the bull, losing it's eyes, the bull thrashed around.

"Guodan, Jingu, now!" (YX)

Xin Guodan and Shuang Jingu moved together and chopped at the bull's neck from the bottom and above at the same time. The bull's head rolled to the ground and it's headless body fell down and spamming as blood gushed out of it's neck before it goes silent.
