Skewer after skewer, Yan Xiu didn't stop training his throwing skill. When he ran out skewers, Yan Xiu collect the thrown out skewers and threw them again.
After throwing the skewers for about a thousand time, Yan Xiu stopped and rest his body. He sat cross legs and reviewed the result of his training. All the skewers hit the tree block but few of them managed to hit the middle of the tree block.
He recalled the contents of the throwing weapons basic book comparing it with his own findings. When the reviewing end, Yan Xiu threw the skewers again to ascertained the result of his review. This time the number of the skewers that hit the middle of the tree block increased, although only a few, it was still an improvement.
Yan Xiu collected the skewers and set it aside before reaching for the whip in his waist. Yan Xiu walked closer to the tree block and swung the three meter long whip at it. The slash made a shallow long mark at the tree block.
The book said the whip power would increased if it were cracked, yan Xiu tried cracking the whip at the tree block and it made a deeper mark. Seeing the instant improvement Yan Xiu was elated, he began training with vigor.
After Yan Xiu was done training, the tree was full of long whip marks. Yan Xiu felt fatigue creep in his body, he then decided to end for the night. He tidy up and went to bed after bath.

Come morning Yan Xiu did his routine of checking the crops and livestock and cultivate. Yan Xiu remembered that he had yet to train Green Water healing spell when he was cleaning the pig pen.
Striking the iron while hot, Yan Xiu tried the spell right there and then. Yan Xiu put his hands in front of him and closed his eyes as he concentrate. Yan Xiu then quietly uttered the name of the spell.
"Green Drops." (MC)
But it didn't work, nothing happened. Yan Xiu didn't get discourage and kept trying. A moment later, Yan Xiu already expended half of his qi and yet with no result. He looked at the bright sky, it was almost time for the hunter gathering. Making his last attempt, Yan Xiu concentrate real hard, he focused all his attention on his hand before once again uttered the spell.

"Green Drops!" (MC)
Slowly his hand glowed with green light, the green light gathered and turn to a few drops of green liquid.
Yan Xiu opened his eyes and was happy when he saw the green drops floating on his hands. This meant that he was successfully activated the first stage of Green Water healing spell.
Like it's name, Green Water spell was a healing-type spell with the form of a green water. The green water produced by the spell could heal wounds from a mere scratch to deep wounds, but the deeper the wound the longer the time it takes to heal it.
While it could heal wounds, it couldn't restore lost limbs or organs. The spell could also cure poison but like healing wounds, the stronger the poison the longer the time it takes to cure it. In conclusion, the spell could heal almost all kinds of wounds and poisons but it took times and energy, in theory that is. Since the healing took time, the patient could succumb to the wound or poison first. Or maybe the user would used up his energy first.
The Green Water healing spell have three stages. The first stage was producing drops of green water, in second stage the practitioner could create streams of green water. In the last stage the practitioner could make the green liquid rain from the heavens.
Finally reached first stage after many failures Yan Xiu felt elated. If only he knew that the other support hunter took a week to reached first stage of the spell and yet Yan Xiu reached it in only a few hours.
When Yan Xiu finally aware of his surrounding, he saw the pigs surrounded him while eyeing the green water on his hands. Yan Xiu was surprised, he saw how focused the pigs stare on the green water. Yan Xiu moved his hands left and right and the pigs eyes followed.
"Want it?" (MC)
Yan Xiu offered it to the pigs and they scuffle for it. In the end only four pigs got it, they enjoyed the drops even more than their feed. Yan Xiu was perplexed by the pigs reaction but he brushed it aside as he hurry to the village for the hunter gathering.
He wore the belt and hanged the whip on his waist. Casting cleanse to clean the filth on his body, Yan Xiu then went on his way. Today he didn't sell anything as he already used the ripe onions to cook yesterday.

When he arrived at the village, Yan Xiu saw Xiao Musheng and two seniors was already standing before the village gate. The other two hunter apprentices were nowhere to be seen, so Yan Xiu guessed he was not late but Xiao Musheng and two seniors were her early.
Straightening his clothes, Yan Xiu came before them and bowed in greetings. Xiao Musheng nodded at him, his gaze lingered a little on Yan Xiu's belt and whip.
Looking at the familiar belt, the other senior hunter, Liu Feng was surprised. He was more surprised about the belt rather than the fact Yan Xiu brought out the hunter weapon.
He looked at Chen Hanchen and thought 'why did Hanchen give his belt to this boy?' Liu Feng knew that Chen Hanchen was not someone who act arbitrary.
A senior hunter giving his junior a hand-me-down was nothing rare, but that's usually when the previous hunter couldn't use it anymore, whether it was because the hunter was retiring or wounded, or maybe because it didn't match him anymore.
But Chen Hanchen was neither retiring or wounded and while he didn't use it anymore, he didn't give it to other newer pro hunter in the team. Since Chen Hanchen gave it to Yan Xiu, that means this little boy has something that make Chen Hanchen gave him the belt rather than giving it to another pro hunter.
Chen Hanchen saw the inquiries in Xiao Musheng and Liu Feng eyes but he just smiled and didn't say anything. Chen Hanchen wanted wanted to unearth Yan Xiu's talent first before telling Xiao Musheng, as Chen Hanchen still didn't grasp the full extent of Yan Xiu's talent.
Xiao Musheng guessed Chen Hanchen's thought and didn't inquired anymore. With Xiao Musheng didn't inquire Chen Hanchen, then Liu Feng stopped too. After the other two apprentice hunters came, Xiao Musheng left to hunt immediately.
Chen Hanchen took Yan Xiu to the hunter's house. The two of them went to train the moment they reached the hunter's house. Yan Xiu eagerly showed his training result and managed to shocked Chen Hanchen.
Yan Xiu threw his needles and all the needles hit the target. He also managed to hit the center of the target every four throw out of ten. His skill in throwing javelin also rose although not as good as his skill with the needle.
Using his whip, Yan Xiu worn down the target before broking it in two. Chen Hanchen then tried to test Yan Xiu's accuracy with the whip, he took some clay ball and throw it into the air and Yan Xiu would hit them with the whip. The result: while Yan Xiu control of his whip was still weak, he could hit the target from a distance two times out of ten. .
'To think he could show a visible improvement after only a night. As expected, this guy is really talented! Although his whipmanship is still amateurish, it is better than other newbie. I need to train him good.' (CH)
While Chen Hanchen was thinking that, Yan Xiu said something that shocked him again.
"I almost forgot. Senior brother, I managed to learn the Green Water spell." (MC)
"What? Really!? Show me!" (CH)
Yan Xiu cast the spell and conjured drops pf green water. Looking at the green drops Chen Hanchen was stupefied, he quickly make a little cut on his finger and doused it with the drops. The cut disappeared in an instant.
Chen Hanchen was completely speechless, 'It was already shocking enough that he took one night to progress in both throwing weapon skills and whipmaship, to think he even learned Green Water spell which the other two support hunters took a week to understand. This guys is a monster!'
Despite what he said, Chen Hanchen was really happy. Because it would mean there would be strong new pro hunter born in the village! Chen Hanchen was now determined to trained Yan Xiu to be the strongest hunter there was. Yan Xiu didn't see the fire in Chen Hanchen eyes as he still showing a proud look on his face.
