Help me find errors/mistakes, thanks!
Qiu Zhen looked around, but he couldn’t see anything. Everything was dark, he couldn’t even see his own hand. “What is this!” He yelled.
“So… It’s finally time…” A voice that seemed aged called out.
Qiu Zhen turned around because that’s where the voice was coming from. He found nothing, but then again, he couldn’t see anything. “Time for what?” Qiu Zhen asked.
“What has it been…. two hundred years… maybe three?
I didn’t think I would be doing this again so soon.”
Qiu Zhen stopped asking questions, they were getting him nowhere. Instead he closed his eyes thinking this might be some illusion. He started to recall what happened, he put the jewel into the empty socket and a few minutes later the cave was sealed. After that the lights dimmed and he found himself in this darkness.
Qiu Zhen touched his head, only to find that nothing was there. ‘It’s gone…’ He thought. Qiu Zhen pieced something together, that he might not be in his world anymore. If he wasn’t then this was only an illusion. ‘Break!’ ‘Break!!’ Qiu Zhen thought as he tried to forcefully break the state he was in, but it was no use.
“What’s the rush?” A hand touched his shoulder as Qiu Zhen’s eyes instantly opened as he took guard. He looked in front of himself, but there was nobody. He clearly felt a hand touch him, but when he looked nothing was there. This was highly strange.
“Who are you? What do you want with me!?” Qiu Zhen asked.
“Me… If I had to choose what I wanted… It would to be free. As for you… you just happened to be the one who placed jewel.” The age voice said.
“Fine then, what is this place?”
“I do not know. I’m just like you.”
“What do you mean?”
“Exactly as it sounds. I’m exactly like you.” After the aged voice said that the darkness eased up as Qiu Zhen could make out what was in front of him.
It was a person, a human to be exact. Indeed if one looked at the aged man he seemed to resemble Qiu Zhen quite a bit. Only, this man was seriously aged as if he’s been trapped in this place for a long time.
His hair black stretched to his back and he had a black robe on. His left eye was red while his right was white. He didn’t seem strong, in fact he looked extremely weak as if he would fall if someone bumped into him. However Qiu Zhen knew for a fact that this man in front of him was strong. He was way stronger than even he himself was in his former life. The air around him gave you this feeling of death. Just by looking at the man caused Qiu Zhen to take a step back.
Qiu Zhen himself didn’t realize that he took a step back, but it was his natural instinct. Fight of Flight. By gazing upon this old man his body naturally chose the latter.
“How did you get here and how do I get out?” Qiu Zhen asked while he infused qi into his hand. He was still on guard against this man, he knew nothing about him so it was only natural for him to be on guard.

The man had a calm expression, he gazed at Qiu Zhen. “There’s no need to be so cautious. You’ll be leaving here soon enough.
Sadly I can’t escape… such a shame.... let’s get this over with.”
The old man opened his palm and two jewels appeared. One was that jade gem and the other the black jewel. They both spun around each other as they slowly rose into the air. The jade gem stayed still in mid air as the black jewel flew off into another direction.
Qiu Zhen felt the ground beneath him shake as if it was an earthquake. Once the shaking stopped a white light stretched from the jade gem off into the distance - the same direction the black jewel headed.
Everything got heavy, Qiu Zhen’s body went to the ground as he coughed out a mouthful of blood. He didn’t understand what was going on, his back glowed red as all the eyes from the tattoo opened up. Qiu Zhen felt his body getting hot as if it was about to explode.
The old man glanced at Qiu Zhen but didn’t say anything. He noticed the glow from Qiu Zhen’s back and clearly knew that he was in pain, however he did nothing to help.
“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Qiu Zhen screamed out in pain as he held his chest. His chest felt like it was about to burst wide open so he was trying to keep it closed.
His body shook once and something flew out of him. It flew by very fast, and it headed off into the distance. The screaming from Qiu Zhen died down and so did the pain. His body stopped glowing and all the eyes from the tattoo closed.
“That… was unexpected. However… you are lucky.” The old man spoke. His tone was indifferent.
“Can’t… see…” Qiu Zhen slowly said while patting the ground. There was no use in him getting up if he couldn’t even see. With his vision being taken away he could cultivate all he wants, but he’ll end up dead. A cultivator without eyes can hardly fight on their own. Even if they can read the qi in the air their reaction speed would be lower.
“What did you do!?!” Qiu Zhen yelled.
“Me… I did… nothing… It was you who did something…” The old man replied.
“What are you talking about? You clearly seen me do nothing! I stood here perfectly fine until you pulled out those two jewels!”
“I’m not the one... having dragons flying out of me.
You should have known... one day this would happen… those things inside you… aren’t something you can contain. You… are not like him.” The old man said as he began to walk to Qiu Zhen.
“Like who? Why would I want to be like someone I don’t even know!?”
The old man grabbed Qiu Zhen by the collar and made him stand up. He put his finger on Qiu Zhen’s forehead as it began to glow.
Qiu Zhen couldn’t see, but images flowed inside of his head. There was a man dressed in a jade green robe sitting on a mountain. Beside him were five dragons, each one a different color. Qiu Zhen immediately recognized one of them as the dragon of life, and he had a good feeling that the red dragon was the dragon of rage and fury.

The man’s held in his hands a green sword that was close to three meters long. This was no ordinary sword, it was an Odachi. The man placed the sword in the ground as he walked away. He didn’t head towards the dragons behind him, instead he went towards the cliff. He fell, but the five dragons didn’t go after him instead they rose in the sky.
From where he jumped emerged a dragon covered in golden scales. It’s eyes were bright yellow and the tip of it’s wings were pure white. On it’s back was the same man who jumped from the cliff - riding on it’s back.
Suddenly the images stopped flowing in Qiu Zhen’s head as the man took his finger away. “That man. The Dragon Emperor.” The old man spoke but when he said that man's title he spoke of it with praise.
“Dragon Emperor?”
“Correct. It was he who found those dragons and raised them. The people of his time gave him a glorious title, naming him The Dragon Emperor. He raised all six of them and taught them how to control their power. Each one received a name that name helped others understand what their power was. The people worshipped them like gods because of their abilities. However the Dragon Emperor suddenly disappeared but soon after those six dragons split the lands into five parts.”
“Five parts… right. Why not six?” Qiu Zhen asked. He has already heard about this part from the dragon of life when it woke up. However it never mentioned six dragons, only the five contained within the pendant.
“Because… the last dragon could be considered a god. It’s abilities are far greater than the other five, so in the disappearance of the emperor, it was their leader. Each one of them went their separate ways obeying the sixth dragon. When the other five were being put into that pendant, the sixth dragon was already gone. Where did it go? Why did it leave it’s brothers alone? Why didn’t it tell them? These are all questions i’m still trying to answer.”
Hearing what the old man was saying Qiu Zhen wondered how he knew all of this. To understand and know what happened to that man who appeared more than a millennium ago he had to be at least that old as well. Qiu Zhen had a thought, maybe this was the Dragon Emperor. He just had to ask, “You are the Dragon Emperor?”
Qiu Zhen couldn’t see it but the man grinned as he shook his head. “No, he is a mortal and I am not. However compared to mortals these days, he should be considered a god.”
If the old man was talking as if he was not the same as Qiu Zhen, then what was he. He was clearly a human being and he talked like one as well. If he wasn’t the Dragon Emperor, then who was he?
“Who are you?” Qiu Zhen asked again.
“Me… i’ve told you... I’m the same as you. Anyways… he should be returning soon… and so should your eyesight. Maybe then you’ll understand.”
Who would be returning soon? Was there another person in this place? Could the old man be talking about the Dragon Emperor or was he talking about the dragon that left his body? All Qiu Zhen could do was speculate as he waited.
Waiting for this persons returned seemed like days if not months. Qiu Zhen couldn’t meditate because he didn’t feel any qi in the air, so he could only sit and wait. When he tried having more conversations with the old man, the old man didn’t answer.
A figure appeared from the distance. You could not make out what it was, but it had golden eyes. It’s body was long however in this darkness you could not make out how long it was. The color wasn’t even seeable, because it blended in with the darkness.
“See… it didn’t take long.” The old man said as Qiu Zhen slowly rose.
“I see the other two have woke up already as well. Only those two idiots are left. Anyways you should already understand who I am. Unlike the other two I was able to break free from your body however I didn’t have enough energy thus I returned. You may call me the Dragon of Chaos and Destruction. Unlike the dragon who heals or the dragon that increases your strength, I improve your martial skills. These techniques caused great destruction and calamity back then. However to survive you must learn them. Each move you learn will be greater than the last causing the destructive force to grow as well.”
The Dragon’s claw made it’s way to Qiu Zhen’s forehead as a light was transferred through his body.
“These are the skills, but they are only usable with the dragon of rage and fury. To unlock the next move you must open the next eye. That is all that needs to be known.”
The dragon turned its head towards the old man. “I did not expect to see you here. Well… it’s always nice to see old faces. As much as I would like to reminisce, I don’t have much time left out here. Maybe another time.” After it said that, the dragon of chaos and destruction went back into Qiu Zhen’s body.
Qiu Zhen’s eyesight returned however everything seemed much more clearer. When the dragon of chaos and destruction returned to Qiu Zhen’s body two small circles appeared beneath his eyes. Each circle was black and could easily be mistaken from a beauty mark, however they were not.
Qiu Zhen’s eyes were also not the same, usually they are red, however they were golden this time. If you looked closely it seemed more like a dragon's eye than anything. With his eyesight being much clearer, Qiu Zhen glanced at the old man. He could see it, the qi that was emitting from his body. He couldn’t see it all however it was enough to scare him a little.
Qiu Zhen blinked, but afterwards his eyesight returned to normal - along with his red eyes.
“Right. You could have... returned sooner if only he didn’t leave.” The old man spoke as he waves his hand.
Qiu Zhen felt his vision turned blurry once again.
“Do me a favor... and find the other four. I really hate being... trapped in here. Do not fail… like the other.” The old man's voice rang out in Qiu Zhen’s head as he collapsed onto the ground.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.

Storm
The Storm started six months ago, and no one knows where it came from. All they know is it hasn't stopped for a single day, and you better follow the one rule: Don't go out in the rain. Hiding in the broken building of her old high-school, seventeen-year-old Marylou is one of the few to have survived this far. She doesn't believe in the Ghosts -- shapeless creatures said to roam under the rain outside -- but, to be fair, she doesn't really believe in anything except booze and the unconditioned love of her ball python snake, Evil Noodle. Chance brings Marylou together with Amy, a mysterious girl with an even more mysterious past, and Dean and Ray, two young men running what they call 'the last pizza place in California'. As the Storm rages on stronger by the day, the foursome will have to make a choice: keep hiding under roof after roof, waiting for starvation, or set out to the road and face whatever hides out there, under the Storm.
