Soaring Dragon Continent, Black Tortoise Forest

The Demon Ape King swung its giant arm at the elders who were approaching. However, they countered it with their own weapons.

Boom!

They collided, four elders’ weapons smashed against the Demon Ape King’s arm. With the Demon Ape King’s strength, pushing back a Paragon level human cultivator wouldn't be too difficult but against four of them, it was harder. His arm didn’t budge one inch after the collision. If anything it actually got pushed back a few.

“Don’t stop, it’s only one paragon level demon beast, it can’t fight all of us!” shouted an elder.

That would be true considering each one of these elders were at the Paragon of Truth level so if they were facing a normal Paragon realm demon beast it would easily falter. However they weren’t. This was a demon beast who could speak in human tongue so it couldn't be considered as a normal demon beast.

The elders split into three groups. Two groups of three and one group of four. They didn’t speak with each other but they knew exactly what needed to be done. If they divided their group and attacked, this Demon Ape King wouldn’t be able to attack them all at once as its attention would be divided.

One group of three jumped in the air and started attacking the Demon Ape King’s face. This was a Paragon realm demon beast so they wouldn’t go easy on it. They went all out using their best skills.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Lightning, fire, and even wind type of attacks hit the Demon Ape King in its face. The Demon Ape King swung its arm trying to swat those three elders away. However they were too fast and disappeared!

“Damnit! It’s skin is too thick, even that attack didn’t damage it!” An elder yelled, but it wasn’t needed because all the other elders knew it as well. This Demon Ape King was not normal at all. Its skin was way too thick for it to be only at the Paragon realm. However, they didn’t consider this Demon Ape King being on the level of an Immortal or else they would have died ten times over already,

“Don’t stop attacking, it must have a weakness!”

Three more elders appeared to the side of the Demon Ape King. They attacked his leg with their techniques, hoping to cause it some damage. If they could take out its leg, then this beast would easily fall, and not only would they gain the treasure, they would get its demon core as well. A demon beast that could talk would sell for a lot if it was auctioned but what about its demon core? Never has a demon beast that could talk been killed because no one had ever fought one before, or seen one. Those kind of beasts were only said to be in legends and which cultivator wouldn’t want to see how a talking demon beast demon core looked like?

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Their attacks landed on the Demon Ape King’s leg. However just as they were attacking, the Demon Ape King countered. Its attention was divided but this was a beast that had strong reflexes. When those three attacked its leg, it countered by kicking its leg at them.

Once again the damage done to the Demon Ape King could only be considered a scratch. Its skin was too thick for them to even completely wound it and their weapons were only strong enough for these Paragons to scratch it.

“Fucking trash, you dare injure me!!” The Demon Ape King roared as it jumped back ten meters. It seemed like it was retreating but that was not the case. Instead, it started hitting its chest.

“RRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAR!!!” Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

It’s warcry, the Demon Ape King used its warcry against the elders. These elders were caught off guard and didn’t expect the Demon Ape King to use such a move. Being of the same or similar cultivation to the beast, you would think they wouldn’t be affected but that was not the case.

“What is this oppressing feeling?”

“Tsk! To think it had such a powerful warcry.”

The elders didn’t drop to the ground like Qiu Zhen and the others did. Nevertheless, their movements were slowed. The warcry the Demon Ape King let out pushed them back a few meters as well but these Elders had strong will power. They gritted their teeth as they used all their strength to overcome the oppressing force.

“UUUUGGGHHH!”

The elders broke free from the force that they were feeling and glanced at each other. Silently they agreed that the only way to harm this kind of demon beast was to attack together and focus on one point. With them all attacking at one point with their most powerful technique, then no matter how hard or thick its skin was, it would still be damaged.

The ten elders made a formation. Two elders were in the middle while eight elders stood around them. Their profound energy shot up as their eyes turned dark green. The qi in the air seemed to be sucked in by them because a green vortex appeared overhead.

“You think I’ll let you!?” The Demon Ape King said as it charged straight at those elders. It was not stupid enough to let its opponents gather enough energy to strike it down. While they were busy gathering qi in the air, it would kill them.

The Demon Ape King jumped in the air as it put its two hands together making a fist, it put its hands over its head. The two hands were locked together and a black demonic feeling covered its hands while it dropped down from the sky like a meteor. “Meteoric Strike!!!!”

“You think you’ll stop us? It’s far too late!” The ten elders said in unison. It was as if they were of one mind and body. The green vortex slip apart, opening something that seemed like a gate.

“Sky Serpent, Attack!!!”

Out of the vortex was a green serpent that was more than two hundred meters long. Its body was fifty meters wide. On its side were two white wings that stretched out to one hundred meters and its jaw was wide open.

This would be why the Sky Serpent school can be considered as a first rated school. It was not because they have tons of elders, nor do they have the strength and the best disciples like the other schools. However they had this, a formation that allowed them to call upon a beast that could annihilate all their foes. Such a beast had the strength to kill twenty or more Paragon level cultivators in one fell swoop. What kind of school or clan would want to make an enemy out of such a great power? This was why even if the Sky Serpent school doesn’t have the amount of students or elders as the other schools, they still have a trick of their own.

The Sky Serpent soared in the air and it went straight towards the Demon Ape King. The Demon Ape King was still in mid air, making it unable to evade or dodge. It could only collide with the serpent head on.
