Soaring Dragon Continent, Black Tortoise Forest
Gan Fang didn’t go in the same direction as Li Haun. He knew that it was better if he didn’t. If he did, when the Demon Ape King caught up to them, they both would die, thus he decided that it was better for them to go their separate ways.
His speed was greater than Li Haun’s even when she did speed up. After the encounter with the Demon Ape King, it only took him twenty minutes to reach the other end of the forest. The demon beast on this end had slightly higher cultivation and Gan Fang could understand why. If a beast such as the Demon Ape King was in that region with that level of cultivation, he wouldn’t want to be over there either.
For Gan Fang who was at the peak of the Dao realm, the beast he met were still too low for him. To come across the demon beast he needs to kill, he needed to go deeper into the forest. During his battle with the Demon Ape King, he used up most of his qi trying to defeat it. Gan Fang took out four orange pills and popped them in his mouth. Slowly, his qi started rising filling his dantian.
‘Hope we’ll meet again soon brother Qiu Zhen.’ Gan Fang thought as he dashed forward deeper into the forest.
Boom!
A tree landed straight in front of his path. If he was even a step faster, he would have gotten crushed. His eyes shot towards where the tree came from, only to see the Demon Ape King. Its massive body jumped more than forty meters into the air before it landed right in front of Gan Fang.
Booooom!
All the surrounding trees got uprooted while the earth had a massive dent in it. It actually looked more like a crater rather than a simple dent. The Demon Ape King looked at Gan Fang who turned around and fled.

‘Damnit, why me!’
Gan Fang ran back in the direction he first met the beast. That was his only option. If he tried to fight that beast again, he would surely die. He thought about what happened to Gin Ja and his whole body seemed to gain even more strength to avoid the same fate as Gin Ja.
The Demon Ape King opened its mouth, as it was getting ready to let out its war cry. The war cry that put fear into its prey. If it did such a thing, Gan Fang would surely die.
Gan Fang saw that the Demon Ape King was starting to use its war cry and he had a chill. He hurriedly pulled out a black talisman and threw it behind him.
“RRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOAARR!!” Boom! Boom! Boom!
It started, its war cry was here. The Demon Ape King started to beat its chest.
Gan Fang who was supposed to be in fear and on the ground hoping that he would live, was not. He wasn’t on the ground fearing for his life, instead he actually put more distance between him and the Demon Ape King. The talisman he threw was something that was made in his clan. It had the ability to block all fear-type profound moves.
However, the talisman would only work if it was setup beforehand. If he tried to do it when the Demon Ape King had already used its war cry, then it wouldn’t work. If he knew about the war cry before then Gin Ja wouldn’t have died, but Gan Fang didn’t think the Demon Ape King knew the war cry.
Gan Fang coldly snorted as he fled. “Hpmh! Keep trying, it will never work!”
The Demon Ape King stopped its war cry when it noticed that Gan Fang wasn’t affected by it. It was stunned for it never would have thought that this human would have a way to block out its war cry. However, the Demon Ape King didn’t give up and it chased after Gan Fang who was fleeing.

Gan Fang’s speed was way faster than what the Demon Ape King was capable of. He knew that it couldn’t keep up. Since the beast couldn’t catch him, Gan Fang started to lead it back in the direction it first met him. His brain was working in overdrive. He was thinking of all the possible ways he could escape this beast.
A thought flashed in his mind, he knew just the perfect plan. ‘You like to fight, i’ll give you a real fight!’
Gan Fang felt a chill down his spine as he snapped his head back. In his eyes were two giant trees coming at him. Gan Fang dodge one of the trees and smashed the other one in half. However, by doing so his speed slowed down, letting the Demon Ape King to caught up a bit.
Gan Fang took out two more talismans. One was red while another was dark blue. He threw both of them in the direction of the Demon Ape King. Swosh! Swosh!
The red talisman flew towards the Demon Ape King, but it swatted them like flies. Boom! The talisman exploded, producing a giant flame. The hairs on the Demon Ape King’s arm was burnt off and its eyes turned red. It was furious. The dark blue talisman was coming after it but he learned his lesson and dodged it.
Bzzt!
The dark blue talisman summoned a bolt of lightning that looked like a giant snake. It was at least fifteen meters long, and it turned its body towards the Demon Ape King. Its jaws opened wide while it bit down on the Demon Ape King’s back.
Boom!
It was hammered. The snake got backhanded by the Demon Ape King. Sparks started to crawl around its arm as the beast felt a slight pain. “Fucking human trash, you dare harm me!”
Gan Fang who was fleeing turned around, ‘Did I hear something…?’ Gan Fang heard a roar, but he didn’t think it came from the Demon Ape King because such a beast can't talk. He shook his head and kept fleeing. If this Demon Ape King could speak in human tongue, then Gan Fang’s life would definitely be short lived.
--------
The three men went to get Qiu Zhen’s body but it was not in the spot it landed. Instead, there was only a pile of blood. They knew that they had failed to kill him.
“Fuck! This is why you should finish the job!”
“Hpmh! How was I supposed to know that the brat would survive?”
“Find him!”
The three men’s body disappeared as they started searching for Qiu Zhen.
-------
Qiu Zhen was slowly walking back towards where Gan Fang and Li Haun was. He had to make it back to them. If he could get back, then he could use these three men to fight the Demon Ape King.
On his chest was a wound that was deep, you could even see his bones. That blow he took could have killed him but he barely survived. He survived because of the Dragon of Life. It healed his wounds - even if the speed was slow - and his will to survive.
Qiu Zhen’s robes were in tatters and his back was visible. Unlike a clean pure back, his had a red tribal symbol on it. Qiu Zhen didn’t know of this, let alone how it got there in the first place but the tribal tattoo symbol was slowly spreading across his back.
“Ooh eee!” The baby monkey hopped down from a tree and landed on Qiu Zhen’s head. Qiu Zhen didn’t even pay it any attention anymore. He didn’t have the strength to waste on such creature.
“Is this all i’m capable of!? Me who was the former emperor, am only capable of running! Weak! Too weak!”

Savage Divinity
A modern man finds himself reincarnated in the body of a young slave with no skills and quickly fading memories. Follow his journey to find normalcy while living in a savage world, filled with myth and legends, monsters and Demons. In a land where the strong rule, the weak serve, and bloodshed is a way of life, peace is a luxury few can afford. Author's note: Expect a chapter every tues/thurs/sun, unless I start writing faster. The story is eastern themed, but not Xianxia, no chasing immortality, MC is not OP. Less action, more character and world driven is my aim. Mature language and themes, but no raunchy sex. It's my first story, constructive criticism would be appreciated. Cast List Military Rankings Fanart Map Album Post Chapter pictures Discord Channel
