Chapter of the day, enjoy!
(Might or might not be chapter tomorrow since the holiday. However I do feel energized because Turtle picked up LMS so i'm having a daily dose of that :D so I might release another chapter later!)
Soaring Dragon Continent, Black Tortoise Forest
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three figures flashed at high speed attacking the Demon Ape King. Each strike was focused on four points, and every time they hit that point the wound got slightly deeper, However after fighting for so long they were drained of their strength. The Demon Ape King had the strength to destroy them in one strike, however that only applied if it caught them. The three figures were too fast for it, they were like flies going around and around.
“Damnit, I can’t keep this up!”
“Agreed, all the other disciples disappeared we should do the same.”
Both Gan Fang and Gin Ja agreed that they couldn’t continue fighting the Demon Ape King. They inflicted some damage on the beast, but to the beast itself it couldn’t even be called a flesh wound. If they continued on like this it was only a matter of time before all the qi in their body ran out, and when that happened their speed would decrease exponentially.
Qiu Zhen who joined the fight late was like a steel of blade, that had its edges sharpened to the max. He attacked every point available to him, all the Demon Ape King’s weak points were exposed. Gin Ja and Gan Fang couldn’t even pierce the skin of the Ape King by themselves, and Qiu Zhen couldn’t either. With all three of their strengths, this demon beast only had four wounds on it’s body, but you can hardly call three of them wounds. The first one was the wound that was already on it’s right arm, while the other three were on it’s chest and back. The ones on his chest and back only drew blood, but still, it’s a wound.
The Demon Ape King swung it’s huge hand towards Gan Fang, but Gan Fang was too fast for it, only hitting his afterimage. “Now!”
Gin Ja who seemed to understand took this chance and with his one meter sword pierced the Demon Ape King’s eye. “Die!!” Boom!
Qiu Zhen and Gan Fang both landed a few meters away from the beast, hopefully it would retreat after losing one of it’s eyes. Shortly after the span of a few breaths, Gin Ja also landed a few meters away, with a grin on his face. He was proud, he’s the one that did the most damage to the beast, and hopefully everyone around understood that.
It’s understandable that he would be proud, he was also at the peak of the Dao realm but for one to harm a cultivator let alone a demon beast at the mystical realm was a dream. However, this dream has been achieved by him, his ego would surely rise to the max once they escaped.
The Demon Ape King covered it’s left eye that Gin Ja had stabbed while it’s right eye was focused on him. A smile, that’s right, the beast was smiling at Gin Ja. It removed it’s hand from it’s left eye and revealed Gin Ja’s sword that was stuck between it’s eyelids. This beast had Gin Ja fooled, it was never hurt at all, it only made them think it was.

“This is bad, really bad! Retreat!”
“Retreat?” The Demon Ape King looked at Gan Fang like he was stupid, he a supreme beast would let them retreat? No, he had to maintain his status as one of the strongest beings in the forest, he couldn’t let them escape. It’s white eye’s turned dark red, while the muscles on it’s arms seemed like they increased in mass.
The three males disappeared, they had the upper hand on speed, as long as they could escape this area they were sure that the Demon Ape King would never touch them. No looking back, no returning to this area, to them this area was now a dangerous zone. A treasure left behind by the Black Tortoise, you would have to be a complete idiot to think it would be unguarded. If the object that was shining on the ground behind the Demon Ape King truly was the treasure then they had no way to get it, it just meant that the treasure was never theirs to get.
“RRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR!!!!!” Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Booom!
The Demon Ape King roared, opened it’s mouth letting out a ferocious war cry while beating on it’s chest. The ultimate move that every king should have, a war cry. Each time it beat it’s chest it was louder than the one before, the roar it released could be heard throughout the forest. This beast was not letting them escape!
The war cry contained demonic energy, it was heavy and it felt as if it would crush hundreds of men. No matter how fast they fled, all three of them dropped to the ground. The war cry was not used to increase the moral of it’s allies, nor call out in pain, but instead, used to inflict fear. This war cry that was produced by a demon beast at the Mystical Realm, could cause those below it to tremble with fear and wish they died already.
No matter how much they tried to move, their body didn’t listen to them, even when they put all their strength into their legs. The three males struggled to get up so much that they started to cough up blood. Their minds didn’t want to give up, but the fear put into their bodies outweighed what their mind wanted a hundred times as much.
“FFFFUCk!”
“Move god damnit!”
In the distance you could see the two females also on their knees, their pose was as if they were bowing to a king. A mighty king whose strength was so high that even the heavens wouldn’t let you gaze upon him.
They should not have provoked such a beast, or rather they shouldn’t have been guided by their greed. They were only bystanders, they decided to help their fellow disciples only for them to be the ones who ended up being crushed. Those who have fled didn’t even look back at them, the only thing they cared about was themselves.
Foolish, that’s the only word to describe them. They were foolish enough to think that they could match this beast, they were foolish enough to think they could escape. This beast whose a king in this domain would never let them escape. The Demon Ape King stopped its war cry and with a devilish grin approached Gin Ja. Why Gin Ja, it might be because he thought he could actually injure such a beast. Maybe it was because Gin Ja seemed like the strongest one, or maybe it wanted to play a game with him.

Crack! “AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!”
In the Demon Ape King’s clutches Gin Ja’s bones started to crack, while blood was oozing out of his ears. His body fit perfectly in the hands of the beast, the perfect size to be crushed.
The pressure on their bodies started to lift, while they breathed a sigh of relief. Gan Fang and Qiu Zhen looked at the Demon Ape King playing with Gin Ja in it’s hand. This scene was something that would be engraved in their minds forever, Gin Ja’s arm was being torn off. However, only piece by piece, it seemed like the Demon Ape King wanted Gin Ja to understand what pain was.
“Now!”
Qiu Zhen’s body flashed, he wasn’t staying around, fight a beast who could easily kill him with it’s breath. He thinks not, however he won’t run either. If this Demon Ape King want’s to play so badly, he’ll give it something to play with.
“Brother Qiu Zhen are you stupid!”
Gan Fang called out to him, he understood that there was no way to save Gin Ja, however there was also no need to run deeper into the forest. Thats right, the direction Qiu Zhen was running was deeper into the forest, however in order to do that he needed to go straight past the Demon Ape King.
It seemed as if his speed increased twice fold, he wasn’t going to die. He couldn’t die, not before he had his revenge, not before Chang Chi paid. He had one chance, only one chance to kill this beast, and if he missed then it would be he who died.
--------
Li Haun and Hu Jun started breathing heavily, under the war cry that was released by the Demon Ape King they couldn't do anything. Beads of sweat rolled down their forehead while they both glanced at each other.
“I’m leaving, it’s foolish to stick around under such circumstances.”
Li Haun had spoken, and her words seemed to make Hu Jun angry. However you couldn’t deny what she said, it was indeed foolish to stick around. If that beast could use that war cry again, and it came after them, they would die instantly. If they didn’t leave now then they would never leave.
“You can’t leave! Gan Fang and Qiu Zhen are still over there!”
Li Haun looked at Gan Fang who was fleeing towards them. “Look, he has the right mindset unlike you. You stay here, and be tortured to death like that guy.”
Hu Jun couldn’t even look at the scene with Gin Ja, each piece of his body was being torn off slowly and it seemed that the Demon Ape King was having the time of his life. However she couldn’t just leave her fellow disciple to die, if he did die, he needed a proper burial.
“You’ll just leave Qiu Zhen like that?”
Li Haun turned her body, “Hpmh, such a boy hangs on to a foolish hope. While he runs deeper into the forest, i’ll go to the outer part. Besides, that boy isn’t anything to me.”
Hu Jun’s face turned red, she felt like punching Li Haun straight in her mouth, but she knew that Li Haun was way stronger than her. “Shameless, you’ll leave someone just like that!”
“He’ll be fine, if not then he wasn’t worth much to begin with. Anyways, you have a choice to make, i’m pretty sure that that demon beast will get tired of Gin Ja and look for the others. When it spots you still here, well… you can guess what will happen.”
Li Haun body disappeared, she left, just like that. However you should not deny anything she said, it was stupid to stay here the only thing they could do was leave. Getting a teacher for help, was out of the question since if they helped then they would fail the hunt. The only thing they could do was run and go in another direction to hunt.
Gan Fang came just as Li Haun disappeared, but he couldn’t help but laugh coldly. “Sister Hu Jun, we better leave or else I fear what might happen next.”
Unlike Li Haun who continued to speak, Gan Fang just left after leaving his message. He knew the longer he stayed the easier it was for the Demon Ape king to come after them.
Hu Jun gritted her teeth, she felt sad for Gin Ja but she also cared about her own life. ‘Please return safe’ Her figure flashed as she went in the same direction as Gan Fang and Li Haun.
-------
The Demon Ape King looked around, but it found no one in sight. It was having so much fun playing with Gin Ja that it forgot about the others who was with him. In his hand was Gin Ja with no arms or legs, the Demon Ape King bellowed while it threw Gin Ja into the distance.
“RRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARRR!”
‘Fucking Human trash, you think you will escape!’ The Demon Ape King mumbled to itself.
Luckily no one was around, or else they would die on the spot. A demon beast who could speak in human tongue was not a beast even a Paragon could handle. In the tales they said that once a demon beast reached a certain level in cultivation they could speak, but out of the countless demon beast that were in the Mystical realm none could. Not even Paragon level beast spoke, so how could this Demon Ape King do it.
