Soaring Dragon Continent, Sky Serpent School

Qiu Zhen’s ‘Sky Piercing Dance’ technique clashed with Ye Fa’s ‘Four Mountain Destruction’ causing a sonic boom. Dust rose, and cracking sounds were heard, the spectators were blinded by the dust and couldn’t see what was happening. Their heart beats were pounding so hard that you could hear it even if you stood six feet away, while they clenched their hands tighter.

Just from this clash alone they could feel excitement blazing from within, they didn’t blink, if they did they felt they would miss something important. Even with the sonic boom that was sent from the clash didn’t disrupt them from this fight, nothing could move them. “Did… Ye Fa win?”

“Shh, it’s not over yet..”

“Wha? How do you know?”

“Listen… stupid.”

When the spectators heard this, everyone shut their mouths and paid even more attention to what was happening on the stage. Clang! Boom! Bang! The slight sounds that their weapons caused when they collided were heard, although it wasn’t as heavy as the initial clash. They audience couldn’t make out anything, all they knew was that the fight was still going on, the only time they would know the outcome is when the dust is gone. However the dust just keeps rising, every time another clash happens even more dust rises. To them, the spectators this just adds more to the excitement, with each clash they all have a different image.

The elders who were above the stage could clearly make out what was happening; not because they have a bird's eye view, but because they could sense the qi ripples in the air. The elders weren’t the only ones, a few disciples in the crowd had different expressions on their faces, clearly they knew what was going on, on the stage.

Swosh! Boom!

This was the last clash, and the second one the audience has seen. The only reason they seen this was because the force behind this attack blew all the dust away revealing what was happening on stage. Their faces were stunned, something in their heart sunk, and their eyes were wide as if they wanted to leave their sockets.

“U-un-believable…”

“Someone hit me a few times, I must be dreaming.”

“Ouch! You bastard, I didn’t really mean it.”

“Well at least we know we aren’t dreaming!”

In their eyes, this was something that only would appear in stories. These stories would then go on to become legends, but in front of their eyes it seemed as if those stories became real. Qiu Zhen’s sword pierced Ye Fa’s neck going straight through, only Ye Fa’s blood leaked down. One of Ye Fa’s hands tried to grab Qiu Zhen’s sword, but it was weak, and used the last of its strength. Holes were pierced all over one of his arms, and the hand that held his black axe dangled at the side, the last life in his eyes started to dim.

If you were to look at the last clash from their view, it seemed to happen in a split second. Qiu Zhen’s sword flashed moving at an incredible speed and pierced Ye Fa’s throat, but the force behind it blew away all the dust revealing the scene to the audience. They were shocked, the sword’s speed and the mastery that Qiu Zhen showed was something most of them never achieved. However, they understood and couldn’t believe that this came from someone who was only at the first Dao realm.

“Fuck me, I quit!”

“Damn, does the word logic even exist anymore! Illusion, that has to be it!”

Gan Fang wiped his eyes, he felt as if he had seen something that could shake the world if others knew about it. Initially he too thought that it would be impossible for a first Dao realm disciple to beat someone six levels ahead of them, but he was proved wrong. Suddenly a grin appeared on his face, ‘Seems I was right to approach him.’

Fang Wei who was floating in the air felt like vomiting blood, previously he told his disciple that they should withdraw and end the death match. He had no belief in his disciple, but now not only did he surprise him he surprised the whole school, Qiu Zhen’s position in the school would no longer be the same. He wouldn’t just be some inner disciple no one would know about, countless elders would try to curry favor to him and take him as their disciple. Fang Wei had a tear in his eye as he looked up to the heavens, “Thank heavens I found him first.”

There were three other elders who were stupefied, but shortly after they regained their senses and started grinning. If they could raise Qiu Zhen and increase his cultivation speed what level would he reach. If a disciple who could beat another disciple at the seventh Dao realm while only being at the sixth, this kind of strength would truly shake the world.

However, they wouldn’t understand that Qiu Zhen is already at the seventh Dao realm himself and he is only hiding his actually cultivation. If he revealed himself with his cultivation and his age, that would even be more shocking.

The members of the Death Blood faction all had cold sweat running down their faces, Ye Fa had fallen to another inner disciple. This inner disciple wasn’t someone who was famous, nor did he have high cultivation, he was merely at the first Dao realm. To them, this was utterly shameful, it was a giant slap in the face. Some of the members couldn’t help but take a quick glance at Ye Che, but hurriedly turned back around. The look on his face made them understand what true fear was, the look in his eyes told them all, this wasn’t the end.

Qiu Zhen on stage wasn’t done, even though Ye Fa had died he himself knew that there had to be one or two more people pulling the strings. He needed to send them a message, something that all the disciples would understand. Boom!

The blue flames that were on his sword exploded furth, blasting off Ye Fa’s head and turning it into ash. Qiu Zhen had already killed Ye Fa, but he took it one step further by not only beheading him, he burned his head. The crowd as shocked, while some of them muttered ruthless.

Li Haun who was also in the crowd with a veil over her face had an ugly expression. She knew that after what she witnessed, she shouldn’t piss of Qiu Zhen. She originally came here to see Qiu Zhen being taught a lesson, but to her surprise it was the other way around. Inside her stomach was turning, she has never seen anyone so ruthless as to blow off the head of another disciple. “What did Li Lan get me into…”

Soon the transparent black barrier disappeared, while many of the Death Blood members rushed it. Qiu Zhen shot a murder glare at them, he couldn’t believe they would actually gang him just to get revenge. “Pitiful” Qiu Zhen mumbled to himself.

“Die!”

“Killing brother Ye Fa, your death won’t even count for his!”

“Cut his corpse into ten thousand pieces then burn them!”

The Death Blood members who rushed the stage were all members who cared deeply for Ye Fa, even if he died then they would try to get revenge. For them, it was like a strong brother of theirs just died by the hands of a ruthless bandit. They couldn’t take it so ten of them rushed the stage, before rushing Qiu Zhen.

Qiu Zhen put his sword back into his ring and his body tensed up. “Fire that reigns over the earth, pierce the sky!” His voice made the members who rushed him stop in their place, but Qiu Zhen didn’t move. Under his feet black flames appeared and spread twenty meters around him, going to the Death Blood members who rushed the stage.

Boom!

Like a quake that would shake the earth to pieces, and black flames that erupted from the ground shot up high to the sky. The members of the Death Blood faction that rushed the stage instantly died, not even their body was left. The black flames soared high, before it dispersed into nothing.

“M..monster!”

Ye Che eyes glowed bright, his teeth were tightly clenched as he took out his weapon. A blue saber appeared in his hands, just the aura that the weapon released was enough to make the other disciples surrounding him disappear. His profound energy shot up, everything he released made countless disciples tremble in fear and excitement.

“You… Dare!”

Ye Chen who was back a few meters from Ye Che was excited. Sure he had to lose his cousin, but now not only does he get to witness Ye Che fight, he also gets to see Qiu Zhen die. ‘Today you die trash!’
