Soaring Dragon Continent, Mt. Zu

Snap!

Qiu Zhen quickly snapped his head in the direction he heard the sound. What appeared before him was a demon beast known as Snake tailed Tiger. It is a monstrous beast that usually roams the mid section of mountains, and its cultivation was at the second level of the Dao realm.

“Growl”

One must know that demon beast are stronger than human cultivators, even if their cultivation says they are at a certain level, be sure to know they are one level above that. Qiu Zhen was currently at the first level of the Dao realm and the Snake tailed Tiger was at the second level, however it’s strength was equal to that of a third level Dao cultivator.

The Snake tailed Tiger was 2.5 meters tall, and had razor sharp teeth that could easily break a tree stump as thick as a thigh. The fur was orange, but a hint of green was contained on it. The reason it got its name was because of its tail, that was a snake head. It was like two bodies contained in one, the tiger could attack from the front while the snake tail would attack anything behind it.

These beast are usually at the sixth-ninth level of the Qi realization realm, but this beast has broken through making it the true king of its kind. One of the specialties of the beast was its poison, if one were to be bitten the poison would instantly take effect making one numb.

Although the poison isn’t deadly, it’s still enough to cause one’s life to be in danger if one isn’t careful. Once a part of someone's body becomes numb, they will slowly lose control over that part, making it unable to move.

Qiu Zhen’s eyes stared at the tiger sharply, waiting for the beast to make its move. Curling his lips upward Qiu Zhen started to taunt the beast. “Come! I’ve always wanted to test my skills!”

The Snake tailed Tiger reacted in an instant turning itself into a blur. ‘Fast!’ Being a feline type of beast, the tiger naturally have a fast movement speed, aided with its cultivation level one could hardly see it.

However Qiu could see it! The tiger appeared on his left and darted his way showing its white fangs. Qiu Zhen took a step back taking a defensive posture, the tiger was less than a meter away when Qiu Zhen stuck out his right palm.

Bang!

Qiu Zhen’s palm struck the tiger on its neck causing it to be blow away two meters. Qiu Zhen hasn’t cultivated any attack skills, so he could only use brute force, however facing this tiger it barely damaged it.

Shaking it’s head the tiger reacted once again, turning into a blur it’s speed doubled! This time Qiu Zhen's eyes could not keep up with the tiger, he didn’t know what was coming. Facing an opponent who was stronger and faster than him, Qiu Zhen was truly on the losing end.

Swosh! Crunch!

Taking a bite out of Qiu Zhen’s arm, the tiger dragged him to the ground. The jaw strength of the tiger caused Qiu Zhen’s bones to break. While being pushed to the ground Qiu Zhen pushed all the qi in his finger and pierced the tiger in its left eye.

In pain the tiger released Qiu Zhen’s arm and darted back to a safe distance. Qiu Zhen glanced at his right arm and seen two big holes there with blood gushing out. He gritted his teeth so he wouldn’t focus on the pain, and coldly stared at the tiger.

With it’s left eye closed the tiger was now blind, anything approaching its left it wouldn’t know about. The snake tail secretly curled itself around focusing on the left side of the tiger.

“Ha..ha..truly a worthy opponent!”

Qiu Zhen dashed towards the tiger but before he reached it, he slid under its legs. Under the tiger's legs Qiu Zhen put two holes in its stomach before reaching the other side. However he didn’t escape unharmed, the snake tail bite down on him twice releasing its poison in him.

Turning around the tiger pounced on Qiu Zhen wanting to end it all before he could react. Qiu Zhen took this chance to sidestep the tiger, and while it was in the air he elbowed it on it’s neck, breaking it.

Bang!

The Snake tailed Tiger created a small dent in the earth, and it laid there motionlessly. Qui Zhen approached it so he could extract the demon beast core, but he was attacked by its tail.

The Tiger end may have died, but the tail was still highly active. The snake tail bite into Qiu Zhen’s leg, but Qiu Zhen took ahold of it and chopped it in half. The tail might be strong, but without the tiger it’s movements were slow.

Qiu Zhen has been bitten by the tail a total of three times, and the poison he has been injected with is a lot. Once in his abdomen, once on his leg, and lastly once on his arm. Truly Qiu Zhen didn’t feel like moving a lot because the poison would only spread further. He could barely move either of his arms, and his whole left side was basically numb with the bones stiffing up.

“Truly a worthy beast...sadly you were just a stepping stone for me. Chang Chi you’re next!”
