《RPG Nightmare》Chapter 13

Finishing their breakfast, the team packed their bags and headed for the roof.
“I want everyone to stay on this floor.” Peter ordered. Then, he turned to Rem and Anne and added, “I know you guys want to fight, but that wolf is out of your league. For now. I promise I’ll let you guys fight more in the future.” In addition to James’ relentlessly coaxing, Anne and Rem reluctantly agreed.
“Oh yeah, lend me your [Mist Dagger] and [Crimson Blade].” Anne and Rem looked incredulously at Peter, but they didn’t bicker and simply handed it over. Somewhat bitter about taking their weapons, he emphasized that he would return them.
“Status window.”

Checking his status window one more time, Peter assigned his remaining free points to AGI. This was going to be a battle of speed and every point counted. With over one hundred AGI, Peter was confident he could move almost 100mph at top speed.
“Ding!”
[You are the 15th person to reach 100+ STAT]
[Reward: 25 Achievement Points]
“Achievement points again? What the hell is this for?” Peter angrily shouted. Slightly enraged, Peter kicked the door leading to the roof, which loudly slammed onto the wall.
‘Uh. Oh. Crap!! Now the wolf knows I’m here!’ Since he had revealed himself, he didn’t bother with stealth and directly charged up the stairwell.
[Boss: Evil Moon Wolf LV: 40 Skills: Howl, Air Walk, Moon claws]
“Howdy, so where you hiding little red?” Peter didn’t bother to hide his presence and intimidatingly smiled towards the wolf. Looking at Peter’s taunting gesture, it crouched forward and stared at the human with a crazed look.
“Hey hey, it’s just a joke.” Peter was surprised by the wolf’s killing intent, but he was more surprised by the fact it tried to intimidate him. ‘It’s just like the boars; these monsters are more intelligent than they were in the past. Honestly, at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if they started talking.’

Despite staring at each other, the two were clashing spiritually with their killing intent. Both of them were trying to get the upper hand and, in a sense, understand the opponent’s fighting style.
Unexpectedly, it didn’t abuse its monstrous speed with a plain charge and moved unpredictably. In a normal scenario, this would be an effective method to confuse enemies, but sadly Peter had the skill [Mind’s Eye]. Focusing his senses, Peter would slightly adjust his body each time the wolf got too close.
With no weak spot to take advantage of, the wolf changed its strategy. Since the human would react each time it got within 10 feet, then it planned to wait for second the human made an adjustment. Sensing the wolf within 10 feet, Peter adjusted his body to face it, but the wolf heavily stomped its hind legs lunging above him with its maw wide open.
‘Crap!’
The wolf’s speed easily hit 80mph, which meant at a 10 feet distance he had less than a second to react. Seeing that it was impossible to react in time, Peter threw a sharp kick and knocked the wolf almost twenty feet away.
GRRR…
The wolf moved again in an unpredictable fashion. Peter lowered his waist and positioned to intercept the wolf. ‘Coming from the right!’ Peter activated [Ghost Walk] and jumped up. A second later three deep gashes could be seen on the spot, which Peter had just vanished from.
GROWL!
Hearing something above its head, the wolf realized that its prey was above it. The wolf crouched, but before it could move Peter stomped directly onto its right hind leg.
HOOoowl!
Howls of pain soon turned into raging growls, yet Peter remained unfazed. Despite being disabled, the six meter grey wolf still didn’t give up. Instead, the wolf howled again and attacked.
Holding [Crimson Blade] with his right hand and [Mist Dagger] with his left, Peter charged head first with absolute confidence. He thrusted his [Crimson Blade] in the direction of the wolf’s eye and used the [Mist Dagger] to intercept its maw. The wolf’s metallic teeth and the [Mist Dagger] clashed and created deafening screeching noise.
With completely disregard for the blade hanging above its eye, the wolf viciously threw his right forearm towards Peter’s heart. It wanted to kill the human, no matter the cost. ‘Fuck! I’m not dying with some mutt!’ Peter swiftly kicked off the wolf’s belly, creating a distance of fifteen feet from the wolf.

Since it had abandoned all defense earlier, the wolf ruthlessly leaped towards Peter with its maw wide open. Side stepping the attack in the nick of time, Peter swung his sword towards the wolf’s forearm. However, the wolf easily saw through his move and readjusted for its claw to block the attack. Not giving the wolf a break, Peter launched a close range low kick towards the wolf’s underbelly.
Falling back another 10 feet, the wolf was now in dire straits. Bruised and beaten all over, the wolf knew that this human was faster and stronger. However, it also instinctively knew that Peter’s advantage lied in his weapons. After avoiding the human’s advances for another minute, it came up with an idea.
‘Damn mutt knows it can’t beat me in a fight so now it’s playing chicken. Wait till I get my hands on you.’ Becoming more infuriated by the wolf’s narrow dodges, Peter finally slipped up. He had overextended in his attempt to aim for the wolf’s hind leg and gave the wolf an opportunity to take a big chomp at his right shoulder.
AGH!
Tearing off the human’s entire arm, the wolf happily flaunted its success by waving around Peter’s chopped off arm, which was also holding the [Crimson Sword]. ‘FUCK! AUUUGH! GOD damn it! Such a novice mistake! God damn it!’ Peter held back his tears from the pain and took multiple deep breaths.
Annoyed at himself for making such a mistake, Peter didn’t even notice the wolf flaunting his arm. Without an arm, Peter was no longer able to battle the wolf head on. ‘I can’t drag this forever or the blood loss is going to kill me.’ His mind raced with hundreds of ways to end to fight quickly.
Snapping out of his trance, Peter’s eyes flashed with a malicious plot in mind. He adjusted his ragged breath and angrily stared at the gloating wolf before yelling, “Fucking mutt, I’ll be back!” Peter feigned turning around and charging towards the door. However, the wolf thought that the human was running and gave chase.
Seeing the human two strides away from the door, a savage glint appeared in its eyes. The wolf collected all of its remaining stamina for one more full powered jump. This time, its hind legs inflated like a balloon. The only thought in its mind was to claw the human right before he reached the door. It cruelly wanted to make the human feel despair and recognize his stupidity for challenging it, the [Evil Moon Wolf].
GROWL!
‘Dumb mutt is going to fall for the same trick again!’ Activating [Ghost Walk] and the [Mist Dagger]’s effect, he jumped upward the second the wolf kicked off the ground. Unable to control his speed, the wolf slammed headfirst into the wall. Bricks flew everywhere and the wall collapsed on the wolf. Although the wolf had run into the wall, Peter didn’t hesitate to deliver a finishing blow.
Activating [Furor of the Tyrant], Peter stabbed the wolf through the heart. ‘Speed types are the hardest to deal with. Jesus. It’s a shame [Furor of the Tyrant] takes too long to use or else this mutt would’ve died instantly.’ Downing a Major HP potion, Peter restored four-fifths of his HP bar. ‘So it can’t regenerate entire limbs…Too bad.’ Finding his torn arm by the edge of the roof, Peter was inwardly giddy.
The HP potion had sealed the wound and Peter had a hunch that his arm could be reconnected in this new world of magic. Dragging his exhausted body back to the corpse, Peter noticed that it was somehow still twitching. ‘Are you kidding me, why does this keep happening?! Do these monsters have a different anatomy?’ Taking the [Crimson Blade] with his left hand, Peter drove it into the wolf’s body three more times.
“Ding!”
[You are the 2nd person to kill a boss monster!]
[Reward: A Grade Dragon’s Blood]
“Wait…wait, I’m not ready! Wait!” Peter’s intuition told him that his procedure was going to hurt more than the Mystical Mark.

Fena can’t die. To most, this might be considered a blessing. To others, a curse. Fena doesn’t really care what other people call it: for her, it’s reality. She’s content to keep her head down while working for the Mercenary Guild, but a new contract arrives that threatens to drag her back to a past she wants nothing to do with. Her adopted mother is gone, and the witch that never gets her pronouns right is currently the most popular researcher at the Royal Academy. Worse still, she suddenly finds herself with shoes to fill that are so enormous they’re more like a swimming pool, while that same witch flaunts a research project that could get them all killed. With the expectations of her entire sect weighing on her like a lead weight, will Indigo sink or swim? Can she stop the White Witch’s project before it’s too late? Dragon Ball, A True Coherent Fan-Fic
Author: So I was writing and erasing every time I had a chapter for my other story, I felt it had something missing. So I decided to practice by doing a Fan Fic after reading some of them. Some of them almost made puke of how much they made me cringe. Now I'll make it justice my doing one. I don't have to create too deep of lore. I can just work around what's already there and fix some things I hated in the original work. Vegito being retcon. Launch being lost in limbo. No love for Tien Shinhan. Synopsis: I died and reincarnated in the Dragon Ball universe. This is how everything went down after was reborn.
