《Dungeon Story》Chapter 10 Uneventful days

(Dungeon Core Room, Curator POV)
Ahhh, time is beautiful always moving forward bringing forth new days and leaving the old behind, except it feels like I’ve been living the same boring day for a while now, stuck in some time loop, I ponder to myself about the concept of time as I stare at the eternal night sky and unmoving stars which blankets my third floor.
Every day is always the same, gather mana to excavate rocks to make room for a fourth floor in the morning, I’ve been doing this absent mindedly as I really have nothing planed for the fourth floor, while I can just make another variation of the magical woods I feel that it would just be too boring, lately I’ve set my sights higher, I need to make my dungeon even more enchanting and magical, the main reason is because of some visitors who don’t even know the first thing about the romance and thrill of exploration, which brings me to my next activity.
In the afternoon I would stare dead-eyed at some visitors who slowly crawl their way through the second floor at a snail’s pace, only to see the shadow of a few wolves freak out then make a beeline for the exit.
I can only sigh every time I see the visitors nowadays, their always so meek and fearing for their lives every time they see a shadow, well its always the same three groups of three to five visitors that come into my dungeon and they seemed awfully young too, the oldest looking kid looked like they were sixteen years old at the most with the youngest looking around thirteen years old.
When they first came into my dungeon, I was a little bit worried about whether or not they would reach my core room as easily as Keith and his bandit group did, but also ecstatic at the thought of more people coming in and admiring my fairytales first hand or experiencing the joys of being able to witness and be a part of a fairytale as the unfold right before their eyes.

Of course all these expectations were left unanswered as the first thing the kids did when entering the dungeon was seeing a wolf and immediately throwing a rock at it, of course, this caused the wolf to agro and charge at the poor kids, luckily they still had enough composure to dodge the angry wolf, then what ensued after the initial attack was a lot of screaming and random stabbing on the kids side, am not one for killing kids so I ordered the wolf to go easy on them.
After a while the wolf finally went down and the kids collected their spoils and left and ever since then the kids would come back once a day and either see some shadows that would scare them off, or run into one wolf which I would order to go easy on the kids, they would get into a fight, win then leave.
With the song and dance with the kids are done, in the evening I would retell fairy tales to Alice until she would fall asleep while under a tree on the third floor, while I did offer to make a bedroom for her, she refused saying “sleeping outside puts me at ease feeling the slight wind on your skin and the soft grass on your back is the best”, I shrugged at her response thinking it was probably due to her dungeon avatar body and link to me that lets her be comfortable anywhere in the dungeon.
This was my routine every day for the last two weeks, even Lyra who used to visit every day stopped coming, probably because she has her hands full with something important, so I endure these repetitive days waiting for something to happen, anything would be new and exciting at this point.
Finally finished with my rant, I stop looking at the false night sky of my dungeon and turn my attention above ground to look at the stars in the actual night sky, staring at them as they slowly move across the night sky, bringing a new dawn and a new day to the world.
