Chapter Fourty

Kami Mr Popo and Gan Fall all led me to a secret room within the lookout. Inside was a huge crystal cube etched in a language I had no knowledge of.

Kami said "Rowan, I am aware you have a special ability to gain knowledge from others as it was told to me by my predecessor that you would. Sadly neither Gan Fall nor myself can read this writing. The only one here who can is Mr Popo."

Mr Popo stepped forward and said "Please use your power on Popo" to which I oblige.

I placed my hand on Mr Popo and activated Body Snatcher. The moment I took control of his body Kami and Gan Fall both looked amazed seeing my body fall to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.

I picked up my hand to calm the concerned Kami and Gan Fall down. "It's okay, I'm just inside the body of Mr Popo" I said to them. The usage of speech that is distinctly different to the kind of speech that Mr Popo would use eased their worries.

I selected the Auto Copy function only to be told

"Warning demi divine being detected. Do you still wish to Auto Copy Y/N"

I selected yes and returned to my body as the copy process was done. I then selected the backup only to be prompted again

"Warning demi divine being detected. Do you still wish to Backup to Database Y/N"

I selected yes again but quickly learned the reason behind these prompts. It seems that if I implemented Mr Popo's cells into my own I would gain the same agelessness as he has.

My main priority now was the knowledge that Mr Popo has. I selected his Tab within the Database only to find that there was well over a Millennium of information to scroll through. Luckily I only have to think about what kind of information I want to view and the Database brings it up for me.

I selected the ancient language and it downloaded into my brain. I told Kami Mr Popo and Gan Fall that I had gained the knowledge required to read the Crystal Poneglyph.

The trio led me into a part of the Lookout which greatly resembled a shrine. At the focal point of this shrine however was a crystal cube with ancient lettering inscribed upon it.

I had gained the permission of the three and walked down the aisle towards the alter where the Crystal Poneglyph stood.

I looked over the writing and was relieved to see I knew what it said. I began reading it to find it says

[Hi Rowan, I hope you are okay.

My Brother and Sister and I would like to apologise.

We brought you to this world because of your love for the things we hold most sacred but in doing so we made a powerful enemy.

The gods of your former world, while unable to act upon this world themselves have managed to send somebody here to retrieve your soul.

They have convinced this person you were an evil being destined for hell. The enemy has been gathering strength and when they are prepared they will come to reap your soul from this world.

Because of this my Brother Sister and I have hidden seven crystal Poneglyph’s for you to find.

Obviously you have found this one if you are reading this. For each one you read will grant you new powers to fight the enemy.

We wish your soul to stay in this world as it was created precisely for people like you.

As I finished reading this a orb of light erupted out of the crystal Poneglyph and entered into my body.

"Body Snatcher Levelled up, Appraisal Levelled up, Item Box Levelled up, Store Feature added".

I was amazed that the Poneglyph had boosted my abilities and given me a new one. I used appraisal on myself to see

I was shocked by the enormous gains I had gotten from this trip to Skypiea. I put some thought into what the Poneglyph had to say and decided if anyone wants to take me from this world they will have one hell of a fight on their hands in order to accomplish that.

My strength that I have right now might seem incredible but I am still not satisfied. The fight against Whitebeard has taught me I need more strength and now more than ever.

I thanked Kami, Mr Popo, and Ganfall. I tell them I am going home for a while to think over what the Poneglyph had to say. I say my goodbyes and teleport back to Foosha Village.
