Chapter 8: Fire Meets Earth
“Empress, where are we going?” Lady Avigail, now the head of the Emperor’s Guard asked as she followed Kumon running across the hall accompanied by a company of Emperor’s Guard.
Kumon ran while skillfully avoiding the maids, ministers and other Emperor’s Guard stationed in the castle.
In response, all of them gave way and bow to their Empress with respect. Some squeal in delight while holding their desire to hug her.
Gradually the chase came to a stop with Kumon breathing becomes harder and harder. She was surrounded. On her left and on her right all stood the black armored Emperor’s Guard. At her back stood Lady Avigail and more Emperor’s Guard. In front of her lies her only escape path, a single window high above the ground.
‘Sufficient Wish Points Already Acquired. Do You Wish to Grow Wings. ' [tr]Yes/No
She quickly picked yes.
Using her last remaining stamina, Kumon jumped through the window.
Blinding white lights flashed the eastern sky of the Imperial Castle.
Inside the blinding light, Kumon’s white wings lined with golden stripes grew. Spanning three
meters in diameter, she majestically escaped from her ‘captors cum followers’.
Though with no more stamina to spare, she could only glide with the wind aiming at the highest tree to evade her ‘captors cum followers’.
‘Thump’, Kumon landed on the tree.
Breathing in relief, all of her four legs caved in. Finally, she escaped!
To her grieve, Lady Avigail and the hundred Emperor’s Guard in charge of protecting her jumped out of the window and levitate to her. Gasping and seeing no way out, she gave up and await her fate.
“Splendid run Empress! A good exercise after a long sleep. Do you wish to take a bath before going to lunch?”,
‘TRICKSTER!’ exhausted and unable to move, Kumon complained in her heart.
Lady Avigail on the other hand quickly accepted Kumon’s silence as consent. Tucking away Kumon in between her chest, she looked at her new wings which began to shrink.
‘Ah her adaption has begun.’ She thought while slowly patting Kumon’s head.
“Empress new wings are beautiful but this mini wings fits you all the more. Empress evolution adaption went splendidly.” Complimenting Kumon

For each evolution there will usually followed by adaption to fit the body. Her new wings retained their white with golden line color but now much smaller in size. Lengthy enough to cover her eyes though yet smooth as silk to be a makeshift pillow.
Gracefully the wings moved to block the shining sun while clinging to Lady Avigail’s well-endowed upper body.
Ignoring the squirming between her cleavage, Lady Avigail proceeded to brought Kumon back inside the castle.

House Aba has wielded the Earth since the first Emperor. Housing the ‘Unstoppables’ as their main army, no one dared to undermine them. Unstoppables is a name coined by the survivors of the slaughters they brought. Fighting without need to rest. Fighting without need of water and food. Fighting without fearing death. They will march and trample anything that obstruct them. Such was their prowess and still that was only a small part of House Aba.
In cities where peace exists, might’s of war hold lower value in the heart of the people there. This was especially the case for the Imperial City where the Emperor have brought them peace for the longest of time. Thus resulting new area for House Aba to develop their might.
Using their Earth magic, they are able to give rise to building and houses in a matter of minutes. Incorporating arts in their architecture and design, scholars of such profession have adapted their result in their own work all over the world. Beautiful to the eyes yet convenient for those who make use of the buildings. Each building brought to life unique to the time it was crafted and sometimes containing fables of the reigning Emperor in the interior arts.
Although the most unique and amazing thing brought forth by the House of Aba, the one still appreciated even with the passing of time lies with the meeting of the three elements. Earth, Fire and Water. A phenomena called Hot Spring! Making tunnels directly from the water vein while passing through heated rocks, the hot water brought enjoyment to the people.
“Empress, do you enjoy this Hot Spring?” Lady Avigail asked while smoothly washing Kumon’s fur and feathers. Each was silky smooth but her guts and experienced in the battlefield told her this armor is impenetrable even for her to break.

“Umm!” it was a nice feeling being cleaned.
‘Less work for me’ Kumon thought.
The Imperial Hot Spring was the designated Hot Spring exclusively for the Emperor. A slight bigger than an Olympic swimming pool, Kumon swam around in the Hot Spring. Enjoying herself before coming back to her new sleeping spot. Ignoring her embarrassment and her inner self arguing of her possible new love for ‘Flowers’, she embraces her new bed while treading her mattress. Unwilling to let go of this new found warm bed. It even has massaging function and petting function.

Far East of the Imperial City, just bordering the Empire and on top of the Bear Barren Desert, a large travelling circle stood high above the land.
A single deafening screech came and blasted through the realm before a fiery flying serpent slither out from the travelling circle. Huge and gigantic was the serpent as it’s body paint the sky red with its fiery body.
The Bear Barren Dessert began undergoing glassification with the fiery heat of the serpent are absorbed by the sand.
On the contrary, the Empire’s eastern fort, Iledel, the fort remains untouched by the heat blast thanks to one Sir Sevix Coros. was a common magic in the House of Coros. A simple spell of mirror like wall for separating two area or a shield if need be. As the commander of the fort, he quickly casted this but in a city wide scale. Angling it perfectly to reflect as much of the heat blast to the atmosphere to insure minimal damage to the people and the fort.
“ARMED THE ANTI AIR DEFENCES AND INFORM THE CAPIT...”
In front of his eyes, the gigantic fiery flying serpent descendant down at frightful speed. Smashing to the desert ground with part of its bodies dislocated from its previous heavenly frightful beautiful self. Unable to scream and with tears around his eyes, the serpent lay paralyzed.

Back in Castile, Kumon slowly yawn as again she tap down using her right front paw just to make sure. Treading again her new ‘mattress’, she closed her eyes and fell to sleep albeit a bit annoyed by her sudden wake up due to screech.

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.

The Wild Touch
The world of Delmathar has many conflicts and plots that span over the whole world and even into the war torn oceans. That’s not even taking into account that the world is a candidate in the Realm wars… but that’s a story for another day. Instead we will follow the story of how a goddess’s botched attempt of using a weak earth soul to make powerful Grafter for her mother, ends up empowering an unsuspecting little boy. The boy who is called Nosal Brownwhisker, who happens to be a peaceful little buttonless-shirt loving little Capyban. And as the Brownwhisker family tries to juggle their everyday lives on their monster ranch and hiding little Nosal’s secret, more and more developments keep popping up in the village of Pancreedy that makes life more.. interesting. Author’s notes:This is my first fiction and I understand it will suck. Hopefully you will find it to be enjoyable enough to hang around. There’s not going to be any epic world-ending fights or any stuff like that, just some shenanigans generally with the story progressing very slowly as it changes from many viewpoints. The world of Delmathar may seem funky for now so I will promise a glossary every 15 chapters. The wild touch will be updated at least twice a week, with me having no backlog of chapters. So if I get mobbed at work or get sick I will let you know in my notes on a short chapter. I hope you enjoy, and thank you for the people who support me, give me encouragement and pointers.
