(Maria’s POV)

It has been a week since we created the Supernatural Research Club, the name was a curtesy of our club president, which is also the student council president, Genbu Fuyuki. That evening, when we five have acquired supernatural powers.

I’m happy that we could help each other, and we have been practicing our powers together. Today, after the school is over, we will train together again, since tomorrow is Sunday. That means that we can stay up until late and it won’t interfere in our classes.

We have been doing some light training together during this week, in our club room. When I said the Supernatural Research Club, I didn’t mean that we call ourselves this, but we I mean that we registered as a club in our school. We did this so that we can use a club room in our school to gather and talk in private.

I’m happy, because yesterday, when I was practicing my abilities before sleeping, I managed to do something new that will help all of us in our training!

(Yuichi’s POV)

As the end of the class comes closer, I get more anxious to get out from the school and go train. Looking to my right side, I can see my classmate, Seiryuu Maria-san. She also seems to be anxious. Man, she’s pretty! However, my heart already belongs to another girl.

She’s serious, hardworking and mature. The student council president, Genbu Fuyuki. Genbu-san is really amazing, I fell for her in the moment that I saw her for the first time. She’s simply amazing, and her purple eyes are so beautiful that I feel like getting lost looking in them.

The real reason that I want to go train is that I can stay together to her. However, I couldn’t get close to her at all. I still didn’t have any chance after all. The bell rings, indicating the end of the class. Me and Seiryuu-san get out from our classroom and go to the old building, where our club room is.

Of course, we take as much time as we can, so that nobody follow use. We have been taking care so that nobody discovers that we are members of the Supernatural Research Club. In the first three days, people were asking around about the club, since the club was putted in the club list that everyone ca look at.

Some people wanted to join and others were curious about the identity of the club. However, their interest simply disappeared in thin air, as if it never existed. I think that Genbu-san used her influence to cause this, so I’m grateful.

We get to the club room, which is big enough for all of us to stay inside with our table without problem. When we get there, the other girls are already there. We just are waiting for Genbu-san. I sit on the chair, and we chat a bit while we wait.

(one hour later, 3° person POV)

The five from the Supernatural Research club are in the middle of the forest. They’ve came here to train after Maria showed them her new ability. Fuyuki looks to her and says.

(Fuyuki): “Seiryuu-san, please.”

(Maria): “Alright.”

She closes her eyes and focus, feeling her power surge. After a few seconds, an strange sensation spreads to the space surrounding them, and they feel as if they have dived into a lake.

(Iori’s POV)

I watch as Seiryuu Maria creates a Dream Barrier. She takes too long compared to any magician that just started to manipulate mana. Well, she was able to create a barrier without a problem, so I guess she has some credit.

Right now, I’m observing them with my arms crossed in front of my chest while dressed in ninja-like clothes. The reason that I’m dressed on this is because of this thing right here:

Evolution of the skill Mana Aura. Now your mana condensates not only in a protective layer over your skin, but also creates an armor that raises your defense to bigger levels. If you have a contract with an spirit, you fuse it’s element and change the attribute of the armor, giving various buffs.

Dark Element:Ninja ArmorBoosts stealth(greater), light resistance(medium) and movement speed(medium). Lowers physical defense(medium).

Earth Element:Heavy ArmorBoosts defense(greater), attack power(lesser). Lowers movement speed(greater).

Light Element:Holy ArmorBoosts dark resistance(greater), damage against undead(greater), healing magic(medium). Lowers physical defense (medium).

Since I have three spirits that I made a contract with, these armors are available. Right now, I’m using the ninja armor, boosting my stealth. Just wearing it is enough to make those five don’t perceive my presence.

I watch them train, shooting their powers around. god, they’re so bad at this. Their cast speed is low, their mana control is shit and they have a pitiful amount of mana. Standing in the branch of one of the trees, I remember the sensation that I felt when they acquired their powers.

It was different from any magic that I know of. The objective of the magic is clear, to give powers to normal humans. But why here? Why now? Who casted the magic?

I already tried to track the caster using them, the targets, as a clue, but whoever casted the magic is good enough to not let any traces behind. That means that he or she is better than me at magic, which pisses me off.

I will order some extra books on the store about magic. This is making me worried of whatever their plan will be. But man, I’m bored as hell here, they’re extremely weak, and they will turn out useless as things go by.

It’s almost time for our school vacation, and my plan will be fucking boring this way. Alright, I will make my move right now, time to get to work. As they finish their training after the night falls and go home, I speak.

(Iori): “Mankage.”

I say. A ninja appears beside me. He’s a different ninja from Daikage, Mankage is the leader of the group of three ninjas that are following me.

(Iori): “I want you to spread a rumor on the town for me.”

(Mankage): “Yes, Iori-sama. Which rumor is it?”

(Iori): “That I’m outside of the town. Make sure that the rumor reaches the Red Birds and the head Hunters by tomorrow.”

(Mankage): “Yes, Iori-sama. Then, excuse me.”

He says, and then disappears.

(Iori): “Daikage.”

I say, and then he appears beside me. From my inventory, I take a rucksack full of crystals.

(Iori): “Spread these around the town, in the inner and the outer village. This will spread a suggestion in the mind of the people that know me, so that they won’t think about me when some kind of trouble occurs.”

(Daikage): “Yes, Iori-sama.”

He says, taking the crystals and going away. Kukuku, things are going to be interesting!
