《Empress' Evolution》122. Hero VIII

"Where is—wait, what happened to your hand?"
"It was bitten off by the second target. No, no, forget about me Boss, what about you? You are... covered in blood, your legs, it is..."
"Oh, I had to get here quickly, I had to employ... explosive measures... I can easily heal it for later. It won't leave a scar." Lilith smirked, remembering what she had to do just to arrive in time.
She shook her head vehemently, "Wait, going back to the question, your hand, are you all right?"
Dhampy looked at her hand and waved it around. it was not a problem for an undead like Dhampy.
To her, it was simply a flesh would that regrows with the consumption of enough blood. Lilith's situation was graver than hers, and unlike Dhampy, she could actually feel the pain.
However, upon arrival, her Boss cared little for her well-being and quickly sought out the one she wished to help. Even when bleeding and hurting, Lilith asked Dhampy about her situation... the undead could not help but smile a little.
Knowing Lilith, this tiny daemon would prioritize others over her own self-interest. Dhampy had to steel her heart and focus on the mission so Lilith's injuries could be tended to, "I am all right, Boss. This is nothing to me; it shall regrow as per usual—the one you asked of me to subdue is this one."
'That's the one? Wait, he doesn't look that de—ooooh, Solar Healing can't patch that up.' Lilith saw its entrails and took a deep breath, 'Why is he shocked? Oh, my Letza, did Dhampy torture him? Wait—'
[Wendigo (Epi!$#@[email protected]) LVL: 27#@%[email protected]#]
'A Wendigo? Does that mean it's a cannibalistic mutant? Or is it another Mythically mistaken creature? What's more, its classification, the levels, the… tsk, I'll think about it for later.'
The Wendigo paused its movements, breathing baited upon the young daemon's casual approach. Its eyes widened, pleading in silence, trying to communicate through its eyes alone.
Its breathing gradually changed, from that of calmness to absolute terror. A look Lilith had seen so many times before.
She was numbed to such a sight and could hardly care, 'We have the Wendigo, the mission isn't completed… how much SP do we have?'
[From all that we scavenged, the mission rewards, and some…2,953,000 SP]
'Wait, when I gained so much—also buy me a 100% effectivity Potion, can't save him with anything less.'

[100% effectivity healing potion: 750,000 SP (Purchased) — remember that time when you collected the destroyed artifacts and weapons the Hunters left behind? Yeah, I haggled for a higher price, telling them we almost died on the Forest of Beast. 'Yeah, yeah, we'll talk about Aria and your friendship later. Can you give me the potion now?'
[Ah, sorry — wait a minute— but I do want you to meet Aria someday and—]
'Oh yeah, we should hold a meeting later, coax her to our side. How about asking the Devil to lend us the black space Letza always appears in? A perfect hang out place for Seraphs, do you not think s—'
Before her question could be realized, a human twice Lilith's height while on her knees clutched the edge of her Kimono. Her eyes were shrouded in tears, her thoughts in shambles, and her heart vulnerable.
"Apo-apostle! Have you really come to save Will?" Mirsha's fear of Lilith was beaten by the desire to save her husband. Though she lost an arm from this little monster, she could hardly care in the prospect that Will could be saved.
Seeing this, Lilith wanted to laugh aloud, but—
"The Goddess Letza desires his life be saved—even Hell itself bends over to the desires of the Goddess, and as I am her Apostle, I shall save him in her stead. Even if by doing so means going against Fate itself." Words of holiness flowed out of Lilith's mouth as Gospel to the glory of the one true Goddess.
Of course, the little Apostle fabricated bullshit to make it sound holier than it could ever be. But, at least her words were based on the truth and knowledge of meeting God firsthand, not just a spiritualistic hallucination.
And like any human or sentient being on the narrow edge of despair who saw the light through the faith of others, Mirsha's eyes glowed with hope. In her innermost feelings, she prayed to the Goddess through the tiny daemon.
Right in front of her, Lilith's image in her eyes slowly changed without her noticing. From the terrifying vision of a bloodthirsty monster to that of a divine existence clad in celestial light.
Lilith reached out into thin air and brought out a red vial from thin air. The vial held a red, viscous blood-like substance, "This is a poti— [Dew of Life] the Goddess Letza gave to me despite its scarcity. It is an important and rare substance brought down to this world from the highest realms, only one of my most devoted of followers has ever had a taste of its life bringing dew, and now, I bestow upon your husband its gift in accordance to my and the Goddess' wishes."

[I appreciate the evangelist preaching, but the Wendigo is going to die.]
'Yeah, yeah.'
"Witness, the Miracle of the Goddess—" Lilith opened the vial and approached the Beast carefully. She reached out to its open mouth so she could feed it the potion—
CHOMP!
CLANG!
Lilith suddenly froze, her hand holding the vial quickly raised up in haste, her back and forehead covered in a cold sweat. Looking up, Lilith saw her hand being held by Dhampy, who moved it away from danger.
Then, she turned back to the Wendigo.
'This little bitch! You dare try bite off my little hands!?' Lilith raised an eyebrow; she looked at the Beast, shock etched in her widened eyes.
"GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU DISGUSTING FAKE!" The Wendigo shook it violently in response to Lilith's attempt to heal its broken vessel.
It did not want to have anything to do with the little Apostle. It didn't want its potion, neither its help. It wanted to die to leave the vessel it thought was its exit from its cell.
"STEP AWAY!!"
"Boss, it's getting stronger! I can't hold it for much longer!" Holding the Beast with her Phantom Soldiers, Dhampy was finding it hard to continue. The Wendigo grows in strength, and its life was quickly escaping from its vessel.
The darkness was whittling down to a simple wisp.
Dhampy could see the shock in Lilith's eyes; the child she respected was shocked beyond belief, but they needed to act quickly, "Boss, give me the vial, I will—"
SWOOSH!
"STOP ITTTTTTT—ACK~
All of a sudden, the Wendigo's screech stopped as a tiny figure appeared right above its head and neck.
Lilith's hesitation now vanished; she and the Wendigo exchanged gazes, 'You dare take my stubbly arms?'
FWU!
Swiftly, Lilith's right arm moved and entered the Beast's mouth and directly opened the vial inside.
Lilith smiled ever so gently...
"BE NOT AFRAID!"
She yelled aloud as Lilith's bloodied and mangled legs, covered by her Kimono, got heavier with the usage of [Titan Weight], suffocating the Beast and only allowing only the viscous liquid to past through its throat, "I AM HERE TO SAVE YOU FROM THE HORRORS OF DEATH AND INCARCERATION TO HELL!"
Glurg~ GLURG~
The Wendigo involuntarily chugged the potion in the worst way possible.
"Oh, lost lamb, you ask how to be saved!?" From the gaping hole on the Wendigo's stomach, blood flew out like rain, dyeing Lilith's being into that of a red imp she was inside. Her smile slowly became more and more maniacal, the longer the process of "helping" the Wendigo got!
"ACCEPT THE GIFT! ACCEPT THE MIRACLE! AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED FROM THE ACCURSED FATE THAT IS DEATH~"
Shhhh~
[—Lith!]
The searing sound reached Lilith's and everyone else's ears as the gaping stomach gradually reduced in size… Lilith did not stop her preaching, "BE CLEANSED!"
Lilith gradually became heavier!
[LILITH!]
'WHAT!? I'M NOT DONE TEACHING THIS LITTLE SHIT A LESSON! IT'S GOING TO BE PLACED UNDER ME ANYWAY! IT NEEDS TO LEARN WHO IS ABOVE IT IN TERMS OF HIERARCHY!' She did not like having her hand almost getting bitten off.
[Yeah, yeah, that's good, and all, but the nearby humans are coming! They heard your "preaching" of the "holy words" and are coming to us!]
'Yeah, and? That's good for us, you know? Have them watch me perfect a wonderful miracle in the name of the Lazy One—'
[I know it's good in general, but, first, look at yourself.]
'What? I look adora—shit.' Covered in blood from head to toe, Lilith looked like she was torturing the Wendigo instead of healing its wounds...
Her "devoted miracles" filled with the "holiness" of the power of the being above were heard in long distances.
If seen in this way, then... an unwanted imprint would sprout.
[So, any plan, oh Holy Apostle?] Alpha asked, though it had already given up and was already praying it would survive even beyond Lilith.
'Oh stop being sarcastic, I have a way—'
[And that would be?]
'Blind everyone—'

Evo-Gaming
Evolution based StarCraft story with game-like elements. Everyone gets a good cheat-like system with well design UI and player-friendly system. I get this broken piece of shit Alpha version. Not to mention, that starting at the very bottom is not that fun. Oh well, let's hope things get better later. Warning - If you read this now, you will be essentially beta tester. The story will include biology, chemistry, but will not focus on it too hard. I aim to please both groups but inevitably will probably alienate both the people who dislike the subject and the ones who like it.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
