Lilith panicked at the thought of losing the package.
The mission clearly stated ONLY ALIVE!
Lilith panicked at the thought of losing a mission that still had plenty of time completion.
According to the Mission, she still had days, but it was less than five minutes in reality.
'Okay, don't panic… if I call Sylva, she'd be able to teleport me to the City through Mirsha and—'
[That's impossible. Currently, Sylva can't use her Space Attribute so much in a day.]
'… you've got to be kidding me. Sylva teleported a large boulder with me on top of it, tens of thousands of kilometers high, and only lost a few mana when she was only a rare tier. Now that she's an Epic Monster, you tell me she can't use it after teleporting me on a round trip? She got weaker!?'
[I wish I am, but the Seraphs in charge of balancing a Species is gradually lessening her power output of space. Else, she might accidentally rip out reality itself. She's an unstable, newly created entity; just be happy she even had a broken phase that allowed you to win against three warships. I told you, creating a new species takes a lot of time.]
'…okay, new plan.' Not wanting to waste time complaining, just ignored everything else and started thinking.
'The Tribulation Leopard is fast but can't make it to the city on time. The Dragon is too slow to get there, even if it's nighttime. I don't have a way with the Apostle… hmm… wait a minute. If I do that... add firepower, blow myself... it might be possible. Alpha, estimate the distance from here to Dhampy's location.'
[… 6.9 Kilometers.]
'I have around 33,000 mana, I still don't know how to lighten myself, but if I pour enough mana to Storm, add Blaze, and rely on Strong Vitality to keep me alive, then… there's a chance.'
Lilith smiled, "Everyone, STOP!"
Though confused, everyone followed her commands.
"Huh?"
"What is the matter, Priestess?"
"Are you uncomfortable with how I carry you, Priestess?"

"Are you Hungry, Priestess? I packed some dried Goblin Meat; I heard you love eating such a meal."
While Killa and Luna worry for Lilith's comfortability, her face turned serious, "A friend needs our help… I must get there as fast as possible."
"Then, I'll move faster and—"
"No, you won't make it in time." Lilith cut off Killa, "We are too far away from them… we need to take drastic measures [Greater Earth Wall] x3."
Stacking three Greater Earth Walls below them, "Killa, open your hands."
"O-okay?"
Lilith climbed down from his shoulder and then curled up to a ball on Killa's palms. Everyone smiled seeing Lilith act in such a way but... that did not mean they knew what she wanted to do.
"Now, throw me with all you got…"
"Wha—"
"I said throw me! NOW!" Lilith didn’t have much time left.
Eastern Gate
The Gargankong was enraged. They appear soon after the two Ogres, two new pests appeared and attacked it from behind.
They were even more annoying than the previous bastards. If the Ogres' simple-minded natures fought the Gargankong to a standstill despite their low level, both Seris and Red were different.
These two were Representative Class daemons of the Lilith Village. They were far from what the two Ogres could show.
Alone, it could kill them both… but together… they were highly annoying and oddly efficient despite their bickering!
Running up the giant Beast's arm, Red clenched her fists. Her fists exploded with a mighty blaze!
BOOM!
The Gargakong's face was scorched and jerked back with a single punch.
The Beast moved its hand as it staggered. Red's eyes widened, seeing a hand coming to grab her.
She crossed her arms.
BAM!
Just before the Gargankong could hold the red-furred Werewolf, its body slightly crumbled as its legs crossed. Its neither region lacerated by Seris' sharp claws.
It wailed in pain.
Red used the opening to retreat.
"Be careful, Sister Red. This Beast may not be intelligent, but it is strong."
"GAHAHAHA! That's it! Show me what you are made of, my rival in love!"
"Dammit! As I said before! I am not interested in the oaf-"
GRUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
The pressure from the Gargankong grew stronger as its eyes reddened from rage.
"We can't keep stalling. We need to kill it if we want to win." Seris stated, seeing the Gargakong's muscle glow.

"Then what do you propose we do?"
Swoosh!
BOOM!
The Gargankong's fist flew, and the two of them moved to the side. Seris' eyes jumped around and saw two figures approaching from the side.
"Attack it with all you have for now. We only need to create an opening; I'll take it from there."
"Gahahaha! Now you're talking!"
Red's body turned to a red blur and appeared right below the Gargankong. From above, she came crashing down on the Beast's Toes in an attempt to crush them.
"??? No effect ???" shocked, she could only laugh as the Beast kicked with its foot.
"Be careful!"
Like an arrow, Seris came from the side and pulled the Werewolf away from danger. Holding her hand, Seris gathered her power, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH~"
FWU!
Red's body was thrown to the Beast!
BOOM!
She struck its abdomen cleanly but got swatted away like a fly.
The Werewolf Leader smirked as from below, Seris waited on all fours.
"She used me as bait!" Red laughed, admiring the ruthless decisiveness of the Persian.
Seris had her claws coming out of her fingers. She moved faster and faster; her furred legs were as though meticulously weaved fiber muscles.
Seris then found an opening, her claws extended, and her legs gathered strength.
Seris became stationary after moving for so long.
Seris was a Persian, a daemon with the same characteristics as a cat with humanoid features. She wore nothing, but her golden fur covered most of her privates of parts. With it, she had no protection from the Gargankong's intense strikes, but this way… nothing restricted her movement.
The Gargankong saw her through its remaining eye; it punched with absolute power.
The wind wailed with its movement; the force it generated strong enough blew the corpses away.
CRACK! BOOM!
The fist never reached its destination… Scar came down from above!
GRUAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Lightning ripped apart its skin, opening the tough hide then an explosive fist came to destroy it in its entirety. It began keeling over, and though it tried to stay up, Red struck the back of its knee, her face showing absolute confidence.
The Gargankong began to fall, "DO IT!" Red shouted.
Seris poised herself forward, and right before falling, her toes dug the ground!
BOOM!
The ground underneath Seris exploded to dust, flying to the falling Beast, her claws wholly extended. Its sharpness pierced through the air and then ripped through Gargankong's remaining eye.
GRIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Both eyes crushed; it moved with indiscriminate rage. Not caring what it would hit, only how it could protect itself.
A screech escaped the Gargankong's mouth! From within and around the City, tiny screeches echoed back.
"They are regrouping! KILL IT BEFORE THAT HAPPENS!" Shouted Seris while the other three agreed.
Red abandoned her pride and her disillusioned rivalry with Seris. She moved in accordance with Seris' orders as her eyes reflected her intent to finish this hunt.
The Tyrant Apes were called back to their Master the Gargankong flailed in defiance of its fate. It gathered mana from its surroundings, and then, the crystals on its back from red turned utterly black!
A massive ball of energy formed in its mouth.
It pointed towards the City!
Fwu!
A figure weaved through its giant tantrum!
"Take your defeat! LIKE A TRUE LEADER!" Red kicked the Gargankong's chin, forcibly closing it with the ball of energy still inside.
Flesh burned from the inside, and red light blasted out everything while the Gargankong's head burned from the inside!
Red's eyes widened as she hastily crossed her arms to block.
"I have miscalculated."
BOOM!
The Gargankong's head exploded and swallowed Red, sending her flying hundreds of meters away.
[You have Hunted a True Epic Scourge Boss (Mutation x1) Rewards Calculating - EXP has been granted]
"SISTER RED!"
While the System calculated their spoils, Seris and the two Ogres shouted while Red flew towards the City, her skin burnt and in deep pain.
BOOM!
Another explosion echoed from behind. The others looked at it, thinking the Gargankong lived. But saw no one.
What they saw was billowing smoke up in the skies.
Mysterious blood trickled down their faces.
"What a blunder." Red sighed as she felt her body crumbling.
"Hooh… that was… very decisive, Red… good job."
“!!!!!!!!”
Red's eyes widened, hearing someone talk right beside her. When she turned around… all that she saw was a child in a kimono.
Her flesh was being mushed by the wind pressure, and her legs and clothes charred for some reason.
"PRIESTESS!?"
"Hello…" Lilith waved at her with nonchalance while adjusting her body.
"Wha-what are you doing here?"
"…Killa threw me away."

There will be occasional user polls to decide how the story progresses, interspersed throughout the story, and the polls that were done in the original version will still apply to the current version. Also if you have any suggestions for story ideas that you would like to see incorporated, leave a comment about it, and they might show up in the future. Lastly, I hope you enjoy the story, and thanks for reading. P.S. Thanks to gej302 for the cover art.

Being unable to even take his own life, Damien struggles to get past each day, looking for something to live for. With every passing day, Damien becomes more solemn and impassive. Three months later, Damien has almost given up, but to his surprise something unexpected happens. He is given the chance of a lifetime; to take part in a study focused on researching the effects of VR games on quadriplegic patients. Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
