I've made up my mind. I walked towards the door and reached for the handle. The moment I hold a grab on it, my hand froze as if someone were holding it in place, tightly. I instantly thought of numerous situations about what would happen next, but I simply blew those thoughts away by taking a huge breathe and exhaling it out.
Prepared, my hand regained its warmth as I pushed the door handle down slowly. My first step into this world is beyond this door!
*click*... *creak*
I stepped out of the room and closed the door behind me. I was now in the hallway.
*Slam!*
I did it. I took the firs--
"Huh?"
That's weird, the door closing was a bit too loud for my ears. I couldn't have imagined to have pushed it too strongly. I turned my head around to double-check but halfway through, there was a person right next beside me. Both of our eyes met at the same angle and both of us were looking at each other with the same exact pose.
She had long, black smooth hair. Her bangs covered her forehead and she wore glasses too. Her skin was smooth and lighter than mine. But, the features of this female student isn't important right now. Instead, something else was bothering me as I take another look at her attire.
The girl's school uniform!? What's it doing here?!
"W-h.....w.."
I tried asking for her name but my lips couldn't form a coherent sound. She seemed to want to ask a question too but both of us stuttered at the same time.
"..." Silence filled the hallway.
Shit, this is so awkward. Just who is she? I have never seen her before... But, she is wearing the same uniform that all the girls do at my school. Could she be a student?

I had to break this silence once and for all.
"W-What year are you from..?"
Her body jumped a bit. Seemingly surprised, as I said that.
"A-Ah, I'm a fourth year..." she clumsily said.
Fourth year? That meant she was in the same year as me, but, I've never seen her before. It's impossible that I could've missed someone in my school year. After all, there was only a single class for our year due to lack of enrolment.
"...A-Are you a student.. from the same school...?" She asked.
"Yeah... XXXX School right?" I replied.
She nodded at my answer and seemed to be less tense as seen on her face. I was also a bit relieved since someone from the same school was here with me.
"N-Name.... C-Can you tell me your name?" She said.
I slightly turned my body towards her and answered,
"Yukio Minori."
Suddenly, her face hinted a sign of confusion. She swiftly removed her hand from the handle and turned to look at me quickly as she clutched her hand on her chest and told me,
"Is that really your name?"
What kind of question was that? I didn't understand what she was saying. I'm Yukio Minori. Why would I lie about my name? My parents... gave me this name.
But, her eyes were so directly focused to my face that I leaned back unconsciously.
"Well, why don't you tell me your name then?" I told her.
Her eyes became large for a moment. She pondered for a bit then clutched her hand even harder.
"My name..." she said as she lowered her head,
"...Is the same as yours."
What? What does she mean by that? How could our names be the same? But, the next words the came from her mouth fell into my ears clearly.
"My name is also Yukio Minori..."

The Helena Chronicles
Espers are really no different than humans; they look like any normal human and in general behave like any normal human. However, there are a few key differences. The max life expectancy of espers ranges from forty-five to fifty. They naturally have a knack for mathematics and are extremely intelligent in general, this is because their abilities rely on the subconscious and conscious calculations. They also have a mysterious energy source they call Focus that is generated naturally by all espers. The continent of Elestveeve is populated by three major factions, each a governing force. On the west of the continent, there is the Noble Houses that subscribe to the Deity Faith. The Houses ruling with the Deity Faith as council since the religion's founding four-hundred years previous. Controlling most of the northeast is WITCH, an organization ruled by powerful espers; claiming the mysterious Genesis as their capital, they are a whispered myth among much of the continent's less technically advanced residents. In the southeast you have Tech City, a towering monolith of a capital with four sky layers and metropolis' leveled deep underground; it is a city brimming with technical advancement and cyber integration. Each faction contends with one another for their evolutionary ideology, by devout religious worship to receive miraculous gifts, unique genetic lineage to obtain ESP, and technological integration to become something more than human. Helena, a young genius and esper, awakes in a dark room with only fuzzy memories and the company of seven other children. She must determine how she got there and how to get back to where she came from. Warning: Due to time constraints, I don't have the time to keep up on my three stories; therefore, Helena will need to go in a stasis chamber until I can find more time to write between work and life. I love my first girl so much! however, it seems she is the least popular among the fans (the poor girl T_T). This world is much bigger than my other two novels and I'm not giving up on it, but simply having to put her on ice.
